Rainbow Day Care & Out of School Care

I trusted my 2 children (ages 1 and 6) to the kind and compassionate teachers and staff at Rainbow daycare in Millwoods and I haven't regretted it for one moment. They are all so caring for both my children, especially my son who has anxiety. They have been at the daycare for one month, and my kids are both excited to go there to play. My 1 year old "covid baby" has learned so much in that month, she has become so social, and her understanding and comprehension has skyrocketed. Watching the other children, and getting to do all the fun activities and play experiments has helped her advance so much more than when she was home. I trust them to take great care of her.

The after school care is wonderful, the bus they have to pick up the kids actually has seatbelts, which has just taken such a loaf off my mind. My son comes home full of stories about the fun things they do and the kids he has played with. The teachers are open and communicative, and I fee arel very transparent.

They consistently get great marks during their audits, and I totally understand why. I'm very content to entrust my children to this daycare. I have no worries about them at all.

You still don't deserve that one star. You all have no right to judge kids based on their ethnicity or physical appearance, my daughter came home crying that her teacher told her she looks dirty etc

We have three boys and from our very first we knew we would love rainbow daycare. We looked at other daycares in the area and they didn’t compare.
This isn’t a “here have some toys and play” kind of daycare. Our middle one that started in September has had a huge improvement in his speech and interaction with other kids. Daily we see pictures of the different activities that they do with the kids. Honestly he learns something new every day.

COVID protocols are followed perfectly and haven’t had any worries with dropping off our boy.

Rainbow daycare has been a huge part of my life for the last decade plus, first with my daughter and a few years later, now my son goes there. Dropping them off I know they are in great hands. The staff are beyond amazing, they are kind, genuine, loving, caring, nurturing, attentive, and down to earth. I would not want my kids anywhere else. They get to learn and grow every day, so many activities, crafts and games. Makes both my kids not want to leave. I highly recommend Rainbow to anyone looking for a family environment and a safe place to send your kids too, look no further, because this is the place!

Part 1: We first started using Rainbow Daycare 17 years ago. My son attended the daycare for many years from age 1. The staff, manager and owners are all amazing. They were the ones I trusted to assist in raising my kids while I was at work. My son who is now 18 still visits the daycare to say hello to the staff, owners and manager and recalls his times there to be unforgettable and the Best memories. I am grateful that I chose Rainbow as part of my extended family


Part 2: when Covid became part of our lives, I was looking for child care for my youngest as school was canceled. The 1st people I thought of was Rainbow Daycare. We live outside of the city but made the extra drive for the great care. They took extra care in making sure she was making friends and having fun. They provided great memories for her time there and she is missing everyone already. Even with all the new rules and safety measures that came with covid she had the best time. I always felt safe leaving her in their care and knew that when I picked her up I would get to hear all her fun stories.

Today was my son's last day at Rainbow. The reason was leaving was because we were not within the boundaries of Hillview school and he was due to attend kindergarten.
It was an emotional day as this daycare has done so much for his growth and confidence. My son has severe speech delay, and unfortunately the previous daycare facility he attended did not have a proper program in place which hindered his speech development. We had a 3rd party work with Oliver on his speech within Rainbow daycare and his educator Amret would attend the meetings to see how she can help him. I only have wonderful things to say about the team at Rainbow Daycare. They truly care about the children. Families are always aware of what is happening and I have to stay I love how they teach the children about diversity and inclusivity. The world needs more of this especially in this political climate. Keep up the great work Rainbow team, and we wish you all the best. Thank you so much for your time and effort. Amret is a gem, her care and love for children is so genuine. If Oliver does not like his new school or daycare, we may be back.

***For those seeking childcare, I highly recommend this place. There is an African proverb that says "it takes a village to raise a child". This is the village.

Rainbow Daycare have been amazing to us. The educators and staff are very genuine and down to earth, and sincerely care about the well-being of the children in their facility. You can tell that they really love their jobs and truly care, and it shows by how they interact with the children. All of the staff are friendly and knew my child by name (even if they were not involved with his care). They provided fun activities such as Sprinkler Day, Halloween Costume Parade, Pancake Breakfast Day (Santa even came and brought gifts!) ; brought in services such as fluoride brushing; and also send out informative and educational emails to encourage child development fairly regularly.

We unfortunately had to leave Rainbow Daycare due to a change in our childcare needs; however, would love to return to Rainbow Daycare (and will at our next available opportunity). I would highly recommend Rainbow Daycare to anyone in the Mill Woods area.

We've been there for about 2 years now and it is difficult to put into words how much I like Rainbow Daycare.

That's because they offer such extraordinary value at every turn. The owners, managers and exceptional staff are all personally invested in the ongoing improvement of the quality of childcare offered at Rainbow Daycare.

From events to parenting courses (which I swear I will attend one day), they offer regular field trips, walks, free play, daily outdoor play and healthy snacks. They really go above and beyond with their illness reduction strategies like regular hand washing practices and hand sanitizer.

They focus on building positive relationships and an engaged community around Rainbow. The people they hire to care for the kids are second to none. They are engaged with the kids during the many daily activities and many are looking forward to careers in early childhood development. They also work with people actively studying early childhood development that help guide their curriculum.

Keep it up Rainbow!

I wonder why they never ever had Canadian staff. Why English staff never last in this daycare. Simple, they are not working according to Canadian EarlyChildhood Policies. Their policies and values from their director to educators are totally Indian. It is not against any culture or country. They are doing their business in their own way.

Trusting someone with your children, is without a doubt, one of the hardest things to do. My children have been with Rainbow Daycare for 6 years, and I can honestly say, that we have made the right choice. I do not have enough kind words to say about the staff- they are caring, compassionate, and show genuine love towards my children. Anyone who says differently, has obviously not had their children in the care of these wonderful people. The amount of time and effort that they have put forth in helping us mold our kids, is so much appreciated- from countless field trips, arts and crafts, cooking/science clubs, special performances/concerts and so much more. I would not only recommend, but would encourage any parent to trust their children with this daycare, who has become more like family to us. I am forever indebted to Rainbow Daycare and their staff for being the example for my children- of what it takes to raise kind and caring human beings. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
