I was very disappointed in my Ramada experience here. I have always had positive experiences when staying at Ramada Hotels but this Red Deer Location does not meet the same brand standards. First, when I went to check in, the arrangements that I had made when I booked were nowhere to be found. Then I opened the door to my room and the door made a horrendous screaming noise. Nothing a little WD40 wouldn't fix but that was my first sign of disregard for a professional standard. Next I go to put my suit case down in the bathtub. Which is where i always put my suitcase before I check the room for signs of bedbugs. The tub was stained and there were hairs on the tub floor. In addition to that the shower bar was installed (poorly) at the incorrect height and the shower curtain was pooling at the bottom of the tub, it looked very sloppy. The toilet seat had some kind of odd damage to it and 3 of the towels had obvious stains. The light fixture above the mirror was covered in rust. Onto the remaining part of the room. The beds were well made but again out of all the pillows on two beds, only one did not have a stain or hair on it. The alarm clock was unplugged, which, when I cleaned rooms we would always plug it back in ans set it for the next guest. The phone in the room also did not work. Which I get most people are like a big deal, everyone has a cellphone, however, the outlets near the bed didn’t hold my plug-in for my phone so I couldn't charge the phone by the bed. The bedside lamp switch also would not always turn the lamp on when you pressed it and overall the lamp showed alot of wear. Back to the phone, I was trying to schedule a wake-up call, in case my phone didn't charge so I would be awake for checkout. I was unable to do this, so as a result had a poor sleep as I worried I would miss my alarm. The dial tone kept cutting in and out and when I dialled 77 as the phone legend instructed I got an error noise. It was a one-night stay and I really did not have time to get into it with the front desk staff so I did not bring any of these items to the staff’s attention. I wouldn't even have bothered with the review if it hadn't been for my biggest complaint comes from my checkout the next morning. The night I was staying here it was -40°C so all guests were in need of a plug-in for their vehicle. I was fortunate to find a plugin, I thought, however, the next morning I realized why no one had been using it, it wasn't working. My car wouldn't start. They offered me a booster which in this weather did nothing. The woman I interacted with was dressed on a hoodie and her hair looked like she hadn't brushed it, she was not very professional in dress or manner. She did not have maintenance check the plug right away which would have been helpful to ensure that I could warm my block heater. There was offer of apology for me having to stand out in the freezing cold for over an hour. I went back in and asked for a room key because there was a side door I hoped I could use to warm up while waiting but it would turn green when i used the key but wouldn't open. When i returned the key, there was no acknowledgement of, “oh yes, sorry that door is only for _” or “oh, weird it should open, let me see what's going on with that for you”. There was no additional support or care from staff for this extreme, and honestly dangerous, the predicament they had put me in. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an enjoyable stay. I did not feel the very basic needs of my stay were met.

I stayed here in September, but Expedia asked me to write a review so I will. We stayed here as we just travelled 3800 km’s and we’re waiting for our rental to be ready. We stayed in the hotel for only about 10 hours with 3 kids and our 2 dogs. The hotel rooms were honestly trashy and the hotel tried to keep our $300 damage deposit because we left pizza boxes, and a brown paper bag from the 711 on the counter. I refused to pay that and had the cleaning manager stand there and watch me, as I picked up and threw away the bag and pizza boxes. It took me less than 20 seconds to do THEIR job. I’d understand if we trashed the hotel room, but we did not. Awful service and wouldn’t go back, or recommend this hotel to basically anyone.

Water slide broken, hot tub broken, hallways smelled of feet, shower curtain was gross, stains on carpet. I’ve stayed in worse spots but there’s much better out there

The hotel was absolutely horrible! Our suite was over 200 a night the bed for the children hurt their backs so badly that they complained of pain the entire next day. The pool was so cold that our children’s lips turned blue and they couldn’t even enjoy it they had to get out, the hot tub wasn’t operational, the breakfast was disgusting. Checking out we went to the front desk multiple times to ensure that checkout was correct but we were still double charged so our stay ended up costing us 1000 for the worst suite and hotel experience I’ve ever had, they stated that they refunded us but the bank said that there was still a hold by the hotel. This whole experience was for my brothers wedding and the hotel was a complete disaster and I recommend everyone stays as far away from this dump as possible!

Beautiful location, friendly helpful staff, room was pristine! Next time I’m in Red Deer we will be staying here.

The front desk staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating as best they could. My 1 star review comes down to the rooms. We went through 3 rooms. The first 2 smelt HEAVILY of cigarette smoke. To the point of being hit with a wall of it as soon as opening the door. Then the 3rd room we went into, had 2 big dead black bugs in the bed! I was so grossed out. We were in the hotel for 15 minutes and still charged a full night because we "disrupted" the bedding. The first thing I always do is pull the bedding back to look for stains, bugs etc. In ANY hotel. I'm thankful I did as those 2 dead bugs were right under the pillows. YUCK!

Hotel room was decent, beds were mediocre. Hot tub not working. My husband, daughter and I were staying with no event and they put all the “dance” patrons on the second floor while we were put on the first floor. Let’s just say they definitely know how to dance. Woke us up every morning at 5: 30am with stomping, banging etc. Walls are paper thin so you can even hear your neighbours alarm clocks. Spoke to the front staff upon check out and was told that people who have longer stays get priority and they were hoping that the dance competition people would be quiet. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, partially cooked bacon and sausage - good thing there’s a Tim’s in the same parking lot. For the price point, we will opt to stay at the Hampton’s by the Hilton next time.

DO NOT COME HERE! A very very bad experience. Not all but theres this front desk lady more like racist. We had arrangement for late check out when we book but this front desk lady phoned us twice to get out of the room 1hr before our late check out. I have 4y old and 4 months old. She wants us stay on the lobby and wait there till my husband arrived. Very very rude.
I never seen anyone this kind of person before
Oh no, not to be so fussy.compare to the price of BEST Western.
Its so dusty and carpet dirty.

The hotel is close to the highway and there is a Tim Houtons right infront as well as an Italian restaurant. The rooms are ok, the breakfast is good as well. The office chair was a bit disappointing, the are some renovations needed. Staff is super friendly!

Terrible service! Was woken up to our ceiling leaking from the jacuzzi in the room above us at 3am! Called front desk. Didn't sound too concerned as they didn't check in our room. There was a terrible patch job feom previous issues. They did not offer a discount or anything at all. Awful, stay away!

I came here for a family day trip with my mom and son. The rooms are a little outdated and one of the beds was very squishy on one side. The housekeeping staff kept it fairly clean, but you need to try not to look behind too many things.

The pool was in great condition, but unfortunately, the hot tub was not in service during our stay.

The staff were amazing, very friendly, and always quick to help us. The ladies making breakfast were also super sweet as two out of three of us have allergies. The location is pretty good, just next to a busy road which can’t be helped.

Hot tub is always “under maintenance” it was ok for the price but both times I have stayed here the hot tub is broken. Room was adequate.

Room was freezing, all the front desk could offer was a blanket until maintainance showed up the next day, room change never offered, after removing thermostat face place i noticed someone had turned it off in the middle of january. Got a rash after the first night on my arms and legs, went away after i got back home, went on for the 4 nights i was there, no idea what could have caused it

Very dated rooms pool area was ok water temp was fine but the air was uncomfortably cold clientele seemed a bit rough around the edges for that price point.

My stay at this hotel was amazing. With the help of the front desk lady I treated myself to a Jacuzzi suite. (she was so kind) thankyou. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. There is very good selection of restaurants within walking distance. This will be my go to hotel in Red Deer.
