The shop is for people who know nothing about cars and would pay too much out of a lack of knowledge about cars. I went on a Saturday and there was all these desperate and scared people sitting around for hours waiting for simple repairs that he charges too much for. I got my own parts of which 2 abs sensors he didn't install from a hub unit and secondly overcharged me. I went the first day with a friend and he treated me like a dealer and took cash under the table and this was the second visit and I trusted him to treat me the same way as the first visit and i didn't ask prices or waiting time up front assuming he would be fair as the first time. Instead he swindled me and charged $1200 just labor for the installation of hub units, brake rotors and pads, and shocks which most good mechanics don't charge by book hours because these overlap one another and no additional labor is needed to install these. In the 8 hours that I spent sitting there on my Saturday, only 2 hours did they actually work on the vehicle and of that he made a big fuss about taking 20 minutes to saw off a couple of rusty bolts.

As far as the jacked up bill, I paid it anyway as I didn't know if he would release the vehicle if i didn't. I felt I was at gun point so I paid for it anyway. I still have not received these hub unit abs sensors back from them though they came with the parts and were clearly in the box when they were opened. The old ones are on my car, and I have not gotten a partial refund or an apology.

Just be careful taking your vehicle here. The people posting about getting ripped off are 100% legit. It happened to me as well and my family. They charged $130+gst for changing filters I already bought.l never deal with Ram again just because of this. In the past I was charged for small things that I never even wanted them to fix. Do you own research and always get a second opinion. Although the staff is really friendly and nice, Ram himself just isnt as honest as he comes across. $130 for a filter change that takes 10 minutes isnt justified by any means.

Was very friendly, professional, knowledgable, and quick on the repairs to my truck, unlike another service center, I used to deal with. Infact, one issue that I had been dealing with for few years now, they easily fixed, when the other service center could only make excuses.
I'll be back again, to Ram, when I need service once again. I would recommend this business.

I newly started to go to Ram's, Very busy but always makes time for you and many mechanics working. Very knowledgeable and experienced. Good service at fair price.

Brought my vehicle in for an inspection and they were. I was calling them the day of and they managed to schedule me in. A few hours time, they were done. Great communication calling me once the car was ready for pickup. I'll be back for sure, until next time. A+

This place is a total scam, went in for an Out of Province inspection. Their "mechanic claimed I needed breaks and was willing to do them for $750. I told him no that's way to much money as breaks are only $300 and there is no way itd take them 4 hours to do breaks. The manager argued with me saying when I told him the breaks realistically should only take an hour. So I left went to partsource bought my self a set of breaks pads and rotors for 329.67 I then did the breaks my self where I come to find out my breaks did not need to be done as the pads were at 50%

Then when I came back 2 hrs before they close apparently they didn't have 2 seconds to look at brand new breaks and sign my inspection form.

These guys are the biggest con shop in Calgary, I dont recommend anyone to go there. If you don't know anything about vehicles do not go here they will try and rip you off, yell at you, and pressure you into spending alot more money then what it's worth.

Worse experience. I dropped off my vehicle to fix the AC compressor. When I went back he tells me, they accidentally broke the driver side mirror and it will cost me 465$ to fix it. What a rip off.

Great place. Honest Mechanic. Fixed my blue van. I will be taking all my car's here. Thanks Ram.

Mechanic named Jeff is very knowledgeable about what he do. He even showed me and explained to me whats wrong with my vehicle. Very friendly as well. I also did full service with them with affordable price. Will definitely go back to this place.

Great bunch of guys, cheapest prices in town, amd Rammi always makes time for ppl. If your giving him a low rating, your a silly person and probably too cheap

I brought my car here to get safety inspection. When I got my car back, I noticed the front right wheel plastic splash guard has many retainer clips broken and not all retaining screws were put back in. Upon checking the left side, also broken clips but only 1 retaining screw remained! Luckily they did not fly off on the high way. This auto service shop didn't know how to properly disassemble plastic parts without wrecking them and they couldn't even careless to at least secure them afterwards!
I do not recommend this shop.

Had to have fuel pump changed, totld them the issue but didn't believe so checked out other things so was charged for 4.5 hrs labor plus almost $500 for the pump. Truck was making noise after that wasn't right, called in and talked to Ram, he said just celenoid and that was normal and would go away in a day.it didn't. Took the truck to him as the engine light came on and.battery wasn't charging and was being told by truck fuel.cap was loose.it wasn't. He told me again in person after hearing the noise that it was still celenoid and the said I needed a new alternator.

Came home got another mechanic to check it out and found out the fuel emissions line was not connected which was causing the fuel tank cap message and engine light coming on.

And then not sure why but did have to change out the alternator.

Nice people. Good work. Accommodating. Went for an estimate. It was reasonable. And because we live on the other side of the city, they started working immediately. No waiting.

Probably the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. Owner himself said to us “you think I want to steal your car” when my father just asked for documentation that the car was dropped off like any other dealer has provided us in the past. Instead of just giving us what we asked for he continued to be rude and his staff were laughing. Went to the Hyatt Infiniti dealer and was treated like royalty. If you want to save yourself headaches AVOID THIS PLACE!

I didn't have an appointment and they got me in and out as fast as possible. Friendly, quick, honest service. Highly recommended.

Before you go into this shop take pictures of your car all around and underneath there is a complaint of social media that they damage the car when it was lifted with joist lift and they won't own up to it

**ZERO STAR**

A few months ago I posted about my car getting damaged at Ram's auto on 17th Ave. S.e. Spoke with Ram the owner and he refused to admit that his shop lifted my car wrong. Both rockers crushed so horribly from them placing the hoist arms in the incorrect place. I specifically told them when I dropped it off to make sure they lift the car in the correct lifting points. I trusted this shop to be professional and take care of my car. I am beyond upset. I have taken care of my car since the day I drove it off the lot. I want everyone to know what that shop did and warn everyone to stay away. Estimate came to $3500 to fix and paint my rockers that I had to pay out of my own pocket that the shop caused. I will never ever bring my car to his shop again and I hope you guys never do either.

I am making this post to hopefully prevent anybody falling victim to their shady practices.

I was client to rams auto for 3 years and never complain to do the maintenance until the day i loose a wheel in the street 2 weeks after i pay 2500$ for the maintenance that place rip me off.

Ram's Certified Auto Service is a great place to go. I have been taking my vehicles there for a better part of 20+ years. They are quick and efficient. They will let you know what needs to be done.

Every single time I am here Ram and his staff does an amazing job. For the cost you would assumed you'd be getting work that gets you by for a few months, however each of his fixes has impressed the Jaguar mechanics that have looked at it.

Going in for a fourth time for blown struts and leaking lines with a quote about 1/5 of Jaguar and 1/3 of all the other competitors in his market to fix my car with full confidence.

Continually proud to be an unpaid talking advertisement for this wonderful establishment.

I've been going there for 10 years and its a great placer to get your car fixed.
Service is good and pricing is good too. Why do you think there busier then the other garages? Because they do a great job and can handle a number of car at time and tackle any jobs.

Took my car in for brake pad change and it still screeches, so i took my wheel off to check it out and it seems like they put in a brake pad that was already 50% used. Not to mention they keep your vehicle there forever.

Charged me 300+$ for a out of province inspection, and to fix a kinked washer line! Waste of time too took 3 days for the inspection my car had 50km extra then when i gave it to them, very in trust worthy i would never bring my car their ever again! POS!

Ram really takes care of you in a timely fashion and makes sure you’re good to go before you drive off!

Took the vehicle I’m purchasing in for an out of province inspection which typically takes 2 hours or less at any other shop in the world. This vehicle was not mine yet and Ram took my car in at 2pm and kept it over night and until closing time of the next day. The only issue with my vehicle was that the washer fluid would not go to the back window. Instead of paying the fee I was given upfront of $90, I instead was forced to pay over $300 and had to leave someone else’s vehicle in the hood unattended. Ram would ignore my calls and continue to give me empty answers for my questions about the service once my vehicle had been taken. Extremely disappointed with the quality I endured. Wish I could get my money and time back, and give you all a 0 star.

I agree with Ali Gul, this shop charged way too expensive the other place just half of their price. But I still rated 1 star yes they can finished the job. Imagine just replace alternator without spare part $400, and this supposed to be free for their warranty because it's the same problem as before. And took 5 days? Event I had paid at front, cost me to LOST my JOB cuz can't come to work without a vehicle. The other day I was charged $125 for charging battery which the equipment itself only worth $115 at Canadian Tire

Thank you for speedy responce - getting me in for quick diagnostic of check engine light Much appreciated! Ended up new gas cap and tighten lose brackets.wished that they would of brought me in shop and showed this error code /written it on invoice for future referance. Otherwise first visit was okay!

Went here almost 3 weeks ago to repair my front left barring has it snapped, did my calipers, rotors and brakes and replaced my left wheel hub has well. Now my car is sounded and well. Great pricing and discount, very admirable owner, will come back again for future repairs + maintenance of my vehicle.

Great service and good pricing. Had a 2010 ram 3500 in for a new steering box install and rear brakes done.also asked them to check the front end. At the end of it I had two front wheel bearings installed and left side ball joints as well. They showed me the problems with the old parts and once I got in the truck it rode like a new truck off the lott.

Went in the shop Friday at 12: 30pm, waited 1h for the receptionist to get off the phone. I have explained the problem and asked for a diagnostic. They asked me to leave the car and that they will call back in one hour. Went home, by 2: 30pm no calls, so I called them. They have requested another hour. By 4: 30pm no one called so I have ringed them again. They told me to come over.

Upon arrival, I have waited another hour until someone saw me (again, the receptionist was on the phone). They have pointed out the same problems which I have already mentioned at 12: 30 when I have dropped off the car.

I have asked how much will it be to fix. The receptionist told me he DOES NOT HAVE AN ESTIMATE. Un-bloody-believable. Exact words: "Come back when you have time, I am not charging you for diagnostic. I don't have an estimate for you now. " I have asked when he will have an estimate for my car repair. He told me to call back at 8: 00pm or tomorrow morning at 9: 0am.

Went to another shop nearby next morning. Diagnostic was given in less then 30 minutes. Car fixed in 4 hours.

So that was half of my Friday wasted by Ram's Certified Auto Service. This place should be shut down.
