The worst banking system I’ve ever used. When you deposit a cheque more than $100k, they clear the cheque after 4 days because they are receiving interest on 4 days on your money. Stop playing these dirty games with people.

I had an extremely bad experience with a bank teller at this branch yesterday, October 30th. The teller, she was wearing a pink sweater (I didn’t know her name) showed a severe lack of courtesy, expertise in managing disputes, and was unable to resolve my issue.

She suggested I go to the branch where i opened the account if I wanted to pursue the matter further. This neglect of customer service and guidance clearly reflects a lack of commitment to her role. What’s the point of visiting the branch if they unable to help you out, while the agent from the call told me to go there to get my dispute done.

To make matters worse, she assured me that she had resolved the case (before I left), but it remained unresolved when I contacted the bank's dispute line the next day, which ultimately this agent resolved the issue.

Overall, I was thoroughly disappointed with the service provided by this bank teller. She was discourteous, lacked knowledge, and dismissed my concerns. If you're seeking a bank that genuinely supports its clients, unfortunately, this is not the place for you.

Absolutely a joke of a bank, joined during the airpod promotion. Qualified they found a reason not to give them. During this I didn't receive my bank card for 2 months due to them constantly messing up my email and home address. Rbc has by far been a joke of a bank. Regret leaving Scotia

The most helpful and friendliest bank advisors I've been to in Calgary. They recommend you great tips on credit cards, savings and much more. They really help you out when you don't know too much without hesitation. Since I've been to Calgary it's the only bank I rely and go to. Always best wishes to the employees at that main branch in Calgary.

Absolute JOKE OF A BANK. Thanks to them they have wiped out my retirement plans & now I will have to return for at least 3yrs to replace the losses.dealing with them on line, as well as, on the phone is unbearable to say the least as it took 45 minutes to get absolutely nowhere on a very simple TFSA transaction. In the end I hung up & will be moving ALL my banking elsewhere as soon as possible.

This RBC branch was the final nail in the coffin as to why i decided to completely close my RBC account. Good thing the RBC branch in 8th avenue has a more gracious and professional staff.

Unfortunately leaving a low review. Online RBC appointment booking displayed 4th street location. Arrived there on time, confirmed the app displayed it incorrectly and needed to taxi to this location. Upon arriving, they refused me service even though they knew I was on my way (after talking on the phone), suggesting I was late - when their system integration with OWNR is obviously broken, and was on time according to the parameters given.

Don't waste people's time. Value your customers.

This branch has to have the most slowest service I have ever received. Long line up’s for more than 45 mins is ridiculous!

Just opened an account and I transferred test money from Payoneer (50 USD). The account was suspended due to suspicious activity.
Two days on the phone, hours of waiting, hours of talking to no avail.
Day 1.
Application and hotline.
I call the hotline and tell them what the problem is. They can’t help, because they can’t verify me because I don’t have a card yet and I can’t tell what is written in the corner They sent me to the department.
The department looked at the situation and says:
We can't help you, please call.
I say that on the line they said that I would go to the department. Vicious circle.
They tried to help, but it did not work (as it turned out, they simply did not want to). People just didn't want to bother. In short PRIVATBANK - TOP)
I call the line, again verification, etc. After a lot of waiting time, the robot says: try again later. Hung up
Day 2
Another call to the line, they again verify to switch to security. Another translator connected for no reason, English is normal for me. The result is the same. Clock on line.
We go to the department and then the circus is simple. We started helping. To begin with, they verified at the department.control questions) they just drive. They say that they connected from some strange device. I say that I logged into my account from a poppy and from an iPhone. Then they remembered that they had been in the department from their computer. Maybe it was suspicious activity too)
As a result, they offer an ingenious solution. Go to best buy let them reset your poppy and athos there, bring them clean and we will install the application for us and go to banking through the browser I already say: ok, I can do it myself reset. I am a system administrator, now a project manager in software development. I rummage. They give out the phrase: bring a check from the best buy that you really did reset your devices there. I xs who works there. If I didn’t understand the technical points, then I might have done just that. But I have 20 years of experience.
As a result, the issue was resolved, but not in this department. It took half an hour maximum.
It seems that all these people receive hourly salaries and no one is in a hurry, the service is 0. I wrote to my manager by mail, called him (he gave a business card and said to call if something happens), the result is 0. Well, you can’t pick up the cards from the office, only will be sent by mail. I cannot recommend opening an account with RBC and visiting this branch.

I recently visited the main branch of RBC in Calgary after many many years.very sad to see how it has gone from a bustling and lively flagship branch to a dark and dead place. What used to be several floors of cubicles filled with advisors has been reduced to what looked like one floor of closed off offices. Only 2 tellers were on duty, light bulbs burnt out and not a sign of any decoration for the festive season. If downtown Calgary is looking to revitalize then the first steps should be taken by huge profitable corporations to make their premises feel bright and welcoming.

This branch is in the core of business community but unfortunately the level of the service is lower than any other branch in Calgary. This branch should have been a role model for other RBC sites but I think employees here are working hard to make sure that don't happen.
After 3 months of struggle they still could not find my cheque.

This bank likes to make profit off the disabled. Genuinely disgusted, when a person with disabilities asks for some compassion and is denied. Billion $ company and they still gotta take take take from the disabled person.

Terrible service regarding wait times! 50 minute wait, 3 tellers, down to 2! 20 people in line. Unacceptable service. Hire more people.
