Brutal service. 8 people waiting in line and only two tellers working. Half a dozen other employees walked past and couldn’t be bothered to step in and help. Line didn’t move for 20 minutes. Consistently awful service at this branch.

My financial advisor could not answer most of our questions about setting up our small business account. He had to call his help line for every question (is there an integrated government tax remittance function for paying employees, what is the charge to send electronic funds etc.)
He didn't even know what an EFT was, he googled it while on the phone with help line.

Worst of all, he quoted me that the RBC integrated "Pay Employees and Vendors" function was free ie no charge to use. When we logged into my web banking after account setup, there was indeed a charge - 8 times more than ATB would charge. And he made the excuse of "oh, well to be fair I've never logged into the web banking before and none of my previous customers have ever called me back to tell me I was wrong"

Major red flag that their financial advisors don't even use their own services, let alone do proper research on the products they are selling.
I don't feel confident that my money would be in good hands here, closed the account and moved on.

Just wanted to send a quick shout-out to the staff at this Riverbend location. Needed some technical help in regards to profile changes. Anjali was an absolute pleasure to deal with and was of great assistance in my lack of techno-skills. When i mentioned I didn't want to take up too much of her time, she acknowledge that there were no other customers awaiting service and we could continue, taking as much time as I Needed to find resolution.and we did. All questions answered. All concerns resolved. Thankfully, when those rare times occur and in-person is required, it's nice to know that customer service still exists - at least in Riverbend

I had a very bad experience, There was loud music on the waiting area not the best genre, the attendant was not friendly at all, I brought a check from this bank given to me, and the attendant was not pleased because I dont bank with RBC. I was charged $5 dollars for cashing a check from that belongs to RBC. A custer entered and asked for a calendar and they had no calenders available to customers.

I did a wire transfer which was canceled and my money was held for a long time, and currently, still expecting its return to my acct. I plan to close my accts in RBC. I agree that this branch should be shut down.

Your drive thru ATM damaged my cheque. It couldn’t deposit my cheque, I tried it 4-5 times, finally the ATM decided to return it to me in 2 pieces and crumpled up.
