Usually they have a nice assortment of fresh vegetables and fruit, but check quality when they are there. Also clothing, books, appliances, kitchen items, household needs area, pharmacy and beauty products area.
While I am regular Superstore shopper, this store has now made a candy gauntlet at the self checkouts. As if a small counter of candy isn't bad enough, now it's like being a Walmart of Dollarama. It's bad enough that one has to do employee's work at the self check out and bag your own items. Won't be shopping here - I'll choose other locations without this or perhaps places with more service.
Avoid the pharmacy here at all costs seriously. 3 pharmacy techs which means 3 licensed people, couldn't not help me find material that was locked up yet they still gaslit me into thinking it wasn't by sending me over to different aisles repetitively. Employees, if you guys have the keys to open things in your department, guess that that's your department and come and help please. Do not send me to the same aisle thinking I can open something you guys have CLEARLY LOCKED UP AND I ASKED HELP FOR. All I heard was excuses after my third attempt "we're not in charge. " this is the pharmacy yes? You're a pharmacy tech yes? You have the keys yes? Looks like you can help to me. Dumb ppl work here.
It's okay. Prices are pretty good. Restrooms are not so nice. Produce is.well.touch and go. It can be difficult to find good quality produce sometimes. Especially on Sundays or Mondays. It tends to be picked over by then. Otherwise, honestly, we prefer to come here more than anywhere else in the city and have been coming here since they opened. Most staff are very nice to deal with, so this would be one of the rare occasions where I will say I will "assume" that management must be good if the employees are so good. Thank you
Horribly slow PC Express pickups. After parking and calling I've had to wait an hour for the order to come out. Completely unacceptable that it takes longer to do a pickup than to shop for the items yourself. Very disappointed.
Poor customer service. I got a paper cut when i checking out, i asked cashier could get help and they said i had to go to the customer service center.when i arrived at the customer service center there was only one employee are helping others people.when i asked other employee he just let me go away and continue their work.that's a big cold store.
Staff are not well trained for a emergency situation. My partner injured herself in the store and no one staff member knew of a first aid kit. We had to run around the store between the customer service and the pharmacy, only to be told to return to customer service to get help. If the situation was dire I'm sure this could of lead to worst injury.
We ordered our groceries through the pick up service. After waiting for our order for close to an hour they notified us that they had accidentally put our order into someone else’s car. Instead of trying to solve the mistake, they refunded us and left us without groceries. A refund does little to help when we were in desperate need of groceries and didn’t have time to go inside to get them. Awful service and awful problem solving.
This is our go-to grocery store. Good prices and selection. Special shout out to Jeamy who was our cashier this week. She was so friendly, funny, and sweet. She went above and beyond and we loved chatting with her. A delight to be around! Jeamy is the reason I'm even writing this review. Hope this reaches her or someone who can pass it on!
Decently priced store. Lots of choices from groceries to pharmaceutical. Highly recommend if you are planning on doing your monthly household shopping.
You would think this place has absolutely everything you could possibly buy, but it doesn't even if the website says it has this product chances are you won't find it. On that note it does have a ridiculous amount of food products and clothing and the clothing and pretty much everything you could possibly need for your house except for furniture and large appliances. I usually has a decent amount of cashiers so you're cash out experiences quick and slightly painless. It is kept pretty clean and the stuff are generally helpful when you can find one.
PC Express is hit and miss and a but more miss last time. More often than not, I end up going into the store to buy items that PC Express shopper couldn't find. That means that the item was actually available, should have been included in order/brought to car and saved me a trip in. This time around, baby wipes box was broken/ripped (even though intact box requested in shopping/order notes) and person who delivered order was less than helpful.: (
Works for my family of 3. I'm native and I love shopping at this location. I believe the staff are very friendly and can help with anything. Hard workers. A Hi and a Smile will go so far.
The sheer size of the place is the reason behind the rating. The store size allows for a wider variety and to actually have sufficient inventory for that variety. Too many superstores spread themselves too thin making it hard to keep inventory. The lack of actual decent help drops the rating. What do you do when you know they have something but can't find it? I would assume you ask someone. Oh was I wrong, you ask someone a valid question and the response you get is ridiculous.
June 25 6: 50pm near the till. Lost my 50$ in the store as I was in rush. I was just panicking a bit and checking my pockets. This kind elderly lady came upto me and returned my 50bill to me. Left me with such a great impression. She was very friendly dressed up in black probably supervisor and smiling, probably got a very kind heart. Sorry didn't notice her name but just thought will leave this note for recognizing her kind act.
Great produce and customer service, but the carts are terrible, needs routine maintenance. I visited this store many times and not sure if it by luck, everytime I have problem with cart.
Ordered groceries online through PC Express. Took the staff 15 min to bring out order with no one else waiting arrived before 4 cars and they all came and went. Called to see how much longer and all I was told was oh I thought they brought it out to you, I will be right out. 10 min later. Also did not agree to 3 substitutions a but still was charged and got them
Thank you to Hazel S and Sunil M for their friendly customer service. Hazel did an amazing job adjusting my frames so my lenses were easier for me to adapt to. It was a pleasure to shop there.
This store is the worst due to the MOST DANGEROUS PARKING LOT of all the locations combined! Every time I tried to go here someone would hit or nearly hit my vehicle. Completely gave up on this site! They need to repaint the lines way further apart as their clients are mostly immigrants who dont know how to drive and they need a cop in the parking lot to monitor and to bust bad drivers for their illegal actions. (no licence plates, expired tags, unlicensed drivers, wreckless drivers etc.etc!)
I like going to real canadian superstore for my daily consumptions wether its grocery or any other products. Well arranged. Have a huge selection of products according to everyone's budget. But finally at last at the payment counter you have to wait as the line is too long most of the time.
This superstore has been around for as long as I can remember. I think it was one of the first in Edmonton. I gave it a 4 because it's had its history of issues, but overall it's consistent in good product variety and reasonable pricing and lots of in store specials. What I don't like about this store is that it looks old inside, very dated. Considering The Weston's got richer during covid means they can spend some money to do some serious Reno's in the store. Way back the produce was awful, it was almost not edible, but it's gotten a lot better in the last 7 years. Not overwaitea food group quality, but comparable to Safeway or Sobeys. I don't like the clientele in the store; they typically lack etiquette, and that's likely why this store has had a few cases this year with covid. Hence why I don't really shop at this store; I only stopped there this week because it's off Calgary trail and I was coming home from work in the core. The liquor store has an awesome selection, they even have a premium area with hundred $ bottles. Until the pandemic is over, I think I'll shop elsewhere. This was my go to for years, but after the covid panic and behaviour of customers in this location, I'll be shopping at the Greenfield no frills and south common superstore over this location
One of my preferred grocery stores, it always has good stock and adequate cash service. Parking lot can be busy and difficult to move through but the overall convenience and location are worth the trip.
Go there weekly for grocery needs. Easy to find a parking spot and like the big aisle and fresh supplies. It would be perfect if they offer disinfecting wipe for carts and renovated cleaner bathroom.
Wasn't going to say anything but that's the 10th time I've shopped there and they had dead lobsters and crabs just laying on their backs in the tanks with the live ones. Unacceptable.
Worst Superstore in Edmonton! Insanely busy, even on a weekday afternoon. Selection and cleanliness are also not as good as other superstores here. I love Superstore in general, but not this one!
I am shopping at Canadian Superstores since 2004, I always get quality groceries, fresh vegetables, fruits, bakes and other household items. I trust superstore due to its return policy. I shop here twice a week because of the return policy as I know I will not be stuck with something that is rotten or stale. Almonds and fresh salmon are sometimes stale and becomes difficult to return even with a receipt, otherwise you can return anything.
This store always charge higher price when I check out for the payment than the prices show on the tags. Avoid this store, they are doing this by scamming customer by "low price"
Old woman working at self check checkout was so rude. Don't understand why even. I was having trouble with an item. I figured it out but no thanks to her. She just stared at me whilst I was struggling. Didn't help. Looked over twice like maybe she'd come ask. But nope. Just a rude comment as I left.
In general I like Superstore, but this particular one is very poor. Last Summers renovations have made it worse not better. Shelves are purely stocked and disorganized. Store is normally dirty. Prices are good and selection is ok, if you can find it. Least favorite Superstore I have visited anywhere in Canada.
I love superstore. And this one has the best ethnic food aisle. Although, I really don't like how they group it all together. And what is non enthnic food anyway? Bread? Granola bars? Black beans? Good ole whitey.
Disgusted by the experience with this location's PC Express. After waiting an hour, they gave half our order to a different customer, and half of the other customer's order to us. When we refused we were told that we could take what we had ordered and get refunded for the stuff we didn't get. The CCM, Josh, called us the next day, apologized and said he would have to reach out higher up for any form of compensation. That was a week ago. Emailed the PC Express customer care, no response. Called PC Express customer care and they offered $20 for no groceries for a week. Maybe they think if they ignore us we will just go away. Terrible customer service.
Just like any other day I would shop at the superstore today I decided to come here with both of my children. When the one of my daughters was in the bathroom my other daughter asked for some cookies. One for her one for her sister. Instead of saying that they didn't have enough and they only had one left I was given a dirty look from the lady at the Bakery counter, as well as told no in a really rude tone. If you guys are going to give up cookies to children then give them out disrespecting people is not right. I u understand people can abuse these things. But if the store us going to have monetary issues then don't give them out.
It's okay to shop here as long as you are on your own. Most disappointing thing here is you go to a human enabled checkout point and pack your grocery by yourself, you have to even tell them how many bags you want. Person at the counter will take stuff from one side, scan and pass to the other side. Never saw this pattern in other stores and provinces. I don't understand how it is different than self checkout. Next time, if I'm going, it's going to be self checkout, if you guys don't care about your job, why should I?
