Real Canadian Superstore

No improvement yet. I have been looking for a pair of snow pants for the last 1 month and I repeatedly found only 5 pairs of those with missing medium size since then.

I needed a prescription filled urgently ¹on a Sunday evening, but when I arrived, they were closed. Had to go to a competitive Pharmacy.

Overpriced, overcrowded, overrated. Used to be reasonable for shopping but not any more. Even No Name brands are ridiculously expensive!

Beware: Their fresh from frozen Shrimp, Salmon are a 50/50 chance between rotten smelly to fresh. Sometimes so smelly even if you touch the packaging your hands will stink. 3 stars for everything this store carries.

I love a lot of the staff here. We have got to know a few of them very well and love to see them. Especially Deb who treats our kids like gold every time. But some of the staff there are very rude, the meat department staff are not helpful at all. Watched a lady stuffing cakes in behind each other very aggressively. With the prices we pay today it isn't cool to see what you pay for being beat up as much as it was. Other then that it's not a bad place to shop.

I recently had a truly disappointing encounter with their customer service team Name Navneet Kaur at the self scanning @ around 13.10 hours, November 19,2023. Not only did she fail to address my issue, but her representatives were also unhelpful and seemed disinterested in providing assistance. The lack of professionalism and empathy left me feeling frustrated. It's unfortunate that such a negative experience overshadowed. I hope they take steps to improve their customer service in the future.she doesn’t even deserve a one star.

A very large superstore with most of everything you'll need. Bright lighting and a variety of everything.

Good variety. Easy to find groceries you need.
They need to have small portable baskets though.

Store was recently renovated, and had a grand re-opening in Nov. 25,2021.
Looks great, fresh and new exterior as well.

One of the worst SS in calgary. Dirty, smelly and devoid of actual Canadian products. Should be called Faux Canadian Slimy Store, instead of Real Canadian Super Store.

Maybe its just a matter of time before the poonjabees will buy this space as well and turn it into one of their ethnic stores just like they have done with the safeways and coops in the northeast.

The most disorganized superstore in Calgary.
They also let people walk around maskless, no social distancing, no sanitizing at checkouts.

Cashiers need training and manners. I stopped going here and recently went in and got the best cashier in there named Karen. I decided to give it another try and got Joban, now I remembered why I stopped going! I will not step foot back in there. This is truly one of the worse customer service I've ever seen.

My story of cast iron skillet I bought it from superstore by sunridge 20 Ave, NE Calgary I have the bill of the product I use the skillet for just once, after washing it turn out rusty then I took it to return the product to superstore by westwinds drv NE Calgary its the closest store to my home, when I told the customer service representative this skillet is rusty after one wash I don't want it, customer representative (Karan deep) said I have this cast iron skillet at my home after washing you need to apply oil on it so that it won't leave rust, I said okay what you want me to do she asked I said I don't want this skillet I want to return it, she said It can't be returned just use it by greasing oil everytime you wash and she denied taking it back, the manager said you cannot return this, so I took it back to sunridge 20 Ave NE superstore, the customer service representative asked what happened to this skillet I said it's rusty after one wash I don't want it so I am returning it she said okay you can get another one and return this no questions asked if you have a receipt.

I am addressing this because this happened to me before aswell it was same customer representative Karan deep who work at superstore in westwinds, without even checking any receipt she always suggests something to do with the product and won't take it back.

If am wrong in anyways that I don't have receipt or the product don't belongs to me then I understand that superstore don't take it back. But when i presented the receipt to the customer service still this westwinds superstore don't refund it back, but other stores other than westwinds takes it back why there is a mistreatment here if its the same store

For this I have to personally go to the superstore that's far from my house and return it my point is ask the customer service reps follow the protocol not to give any advice on anything that don't pertains to the product

The flash food that was ordered was not available in stock. They said easily take back your order. Wastage of time and money both.

Bought organic grapes as they looked fresh from the outside, and fresh ones stacked on top. Came home and tried washing them, straight up smelt like rotten eggs when I dumped the whole box to wash. There’s mold everywhere. Customer service is just as rude. Worst experience at this location. We shouldn’t have to dig through produce to find the best quality fruits and vegetables. If we can’t get what we pay for then it shouldn’t be out for sale. This has happened so many times but we let it pass. This time it just crossed the level, very disappointing. Please have your workers check the quality of produce on your racks.

I see so much fruit and veggies stacked on racks and put on 30% off, half the produce is literally full of mold, do better.

If you can wake up early, best time to visit and shop is just past opening time (7: 00 am) - few shoppers, merchandise displays still undisturbed, no queue at checkout.

I had a worse experience there. Bad service was provided. Worker ->Maria is fairly rude. She dunno how to talk politely.

You will never know when the store decides to close all of a sudden due to flood. I have to leave my cart after spending an hour of shopping.

This store changes position of items almost every week now. It's very frustrating to go around looking for items you always buy all the time.

A year ago I stopped going to this store due to frustrations with shopping experiences. While running errands I decided to pop in for a few things. Never EVER again wii I do that.
Grabbing some very sad looking lettuce I had to move out of the way so one of the Employees could get in MY way to start emptying off her cart of produce.
12 noon and most of the dairy was empty
Get to the register, was only 1 person in line before me, and I waited, and waited, and WAITED. Get to my turn, realized I forgot my bags. Asked to buy bags 3 times. Lady at register said ok each time and kept ringing things through.
After she was done ringing through, she wanted payment. Paid her, then she finally gave me bags.
As I was panick packing so next customer could go through, she kept pushing button so all products were jamming down at the end. As I was finally able to pull the plastic from my vegetables from under the roller…. She pushed it AGAIN.
I told her… please STOP jamming my stuff down here. I then realized she had finished ringing through the other customer and now other customer has to wait.
I just threw my other bag and last items into the cart with disgust and started to head out.
But wait… now a young gent wants to talk to me about a PC credit card! I thank him and tell him I am not interested. He states… well you have PC points don’t you? I knew if I looked at him he would be able to see how angry I was so I brushed him off feeling guilty that he is only doing his job.
Never Ever again will I return

Was at the store today wanted to buy sher atta and rice (917) unfortunately there was not even a single bag in stock. They moved the international aisle and it’s a total mess over there. What’s the fun in shopping if u can’t find everything at one store and waste so much of time. Hope the management looks into it and ensure that they have enough stock for at least the dry products.

Well shelves stcked and checkouts were not all.open and lines were very long and took up.to 25 min

Mostly the female worker here are not really nice, grumpy, sassy and looks arrogant. I asked with costumer service, merchandise workers but the replay back with grumpy voice.

It's disappointing they are renovating the aisles and they are so narrow that only one shopping cart can fit. They are also moving where items are going. Very frustrating when you are looking for something.

2 days ago I went with a couple of friends to grab a couple items for a quick dinner after the park. We had to use to washroom & before we even got there we could SMELL IT. Absolutely filthy, hardly any soap in the dispenser & we were so grossed out we just left without buying anything. My first & LAST time going to this location for Superstore.

Such a busy store and the lack of social distancing from other shoppers makes me feel like carrying a big stick!

I am really happy for shopping here because this market has quality groceries with reasonable price:)

Super huge superstore. Not my usual shopping spot but the pharmacy had walk in appointments for AstraZeneca vaccines so why not.

Neatly arranged, very easy to find groceries, would like if they could increase their staff though.

Absolutely useless customer service- Rude and aggressive! They always overcharge whenever i have checked my bill. Raised the issue with the customer service who had no clue what "CUSTOMER" service is! Always check your bills to make sure u r charged for what u buy! Dont let them over charge u!

Decent pricing and selection, poor cleanliness, long lines, dificuly accurately scanning items, and poor customer service.

Frequently have higher priced items double scanned. As an example bought 1 box of garbage bags and 4 boxes of drink mix, but was charged for 2 boxes of bags and 3 boxes drink mix. Started out $9 over charged, and after multiple attempts to fix it I'm out a buck due to staff confusion with multi item discounts and taxes.

Only place I have had multiple staff say they are running late then cut in till and customer service lines.

This location has been closed a few times due to mouse and bug infestations, but still struggles to keep clean. It's common to see the same ripped open or spilled food for weeks in the clothing, seasonal, pharmacy, or toy areas. Basic Covid guides (social distance, wear a mask, wash your hands) are not followed by all staff. They will touch each other and customer, and may or may not wear masks. The store in general seems to have fewer protections in place, and no one enforcing what is there.

I used to love this place. Been going here since 2014. I went here because its closer to my home. After almost getting my car stolen 3 times by the people begging outside. Purses get stolen every 10mins. Management never came out to address anything, you ask for the manager and the employees dont know or havent been trained to answer. This all occured at

cashier is wiping her nose by removing her mask with her glove and then proceeded to scan my items. Lady in line behind was literally 0.5m away from me, i asked her to stand back cashier didnt care at all nor were there any supervisors around to regulate the lineup.

I am highly disappointed and want to escalate this issue to upper management.

Okay store to do the grocery, terrible crowd, bumping into you is a normal, you have to visit early hours if you wish to get everything as it vanishes quickly and don't get replaced often.very crowded checkouts.would avoid it.

Good prices. Pharmacy services available. Big parking lot.

I visited NE calgary store, disappointed about cleaning, too many people and can't find what I was looking for. No one around to help.

Staff could be a little more friendly but other all a good shopping experience, I just love collecting PC optimum points & with gas, food, home & beauty- points accumulate really quickly!

We shop here because prices are low but Security is completely useless during Covid, pretty much allows anyone with or without a mask in. Has high Covid positive reported numbers.

What a waste of time they couldn't print out my receipt after paid and I can't go out without receipt, just left everything on the floor Hopefully they will reimbursed my money.

Needed a single item, and the store was around the corner. Un kept, a lot of small wrapping pieces on the floor from stocking shelves I imagine. Good for some, hard yo believe that it's allowed to operate as is. NG

A girl wearing a head scarf named “Roza” is awful at customer service. I went to her asking for a product and she wasn’t helpfully at all and literally got upset and said to me “I am working on something right now, can you go to customer service “.

I wouldn’t even give this store a 1 star just because of the experience I had with this girl!

Amazing managers who helped wrap my flowers and I reminded how those ladys that there amazing customer service helped keep me clean during my pregnancy and now I'm coming 2 years clean and my daughter thanks them for helping save her mommy.thanxs

Late in the day on Christmas Eve and as expected, very, very, busy. A lovely lady noticed that I didn't have a loonie for a cart, so she generously offered me one, which I paid her in smaller change for. I had never been to this location before, so this visit was a new experience, and it was a very positive one. I found everything I needed, except for chocolate milk, got to the self serve checkout and was in and out in half an hour. I rigorously
avoid shopping at the Superstore in my home neighborhood only because of the crowds and the rudeness of the other shoppers, but I felt none of that in this store, even on what is probably one of the busiest days of the year. The store was well stocked and the checkout was easy. A pleasant shopping experience!

Many of the employees are either not wearing masks or wearing masks improperly as are many shoppers. There is barely enough room to move let alone maintain 2 meters distance. Needs better regulation. No wonder covid cases are rising.
