Great place. Knowledgeable staff. Drives me nuts that they put the price sticker right on the album covers. Only place in my 45 years I've gone across this.

Best record store I've found to date.
Organized, really cool shop.
Reg, Bruce and crew are a great group and have everything you could ever want or need.

Incredible record store! THE BEST OF EDMONTON! I found some rare metal/rock cassette (like Saxon, Accept.), as well as rare powermetal albums that is almost impossible to find elswhere (nuclear blast records: Edguy, Stratovarius, Sonata artica.). The staff was really nice and the price is really good. IT'S a must go place in Edmonton!

I visited this store with a friend, we were both very impressed with store, collection of records and more. Staff were super knowledgeable and friendly. I ended up walking away with a few records but there was so much more I wanted to buy. Chatted with Reg (sorry if i spelt your name wrong) when checking out and very friendly. Highly recommend this store if you're looking for good selection of records and good quality. I will be coming back for future purchases!

This place is awesome. It's quiet and well stocked with all your favorites. But the selling point is the staff they are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Last but not least if you want to buy in bulk this is the place you get 10 dollars off for every 100$ you spend. It seems insignificant but it can really add up!:)

I cannot say enough great things about this record store. Selection is amazing, prices are fair. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I recently purchased a Kenwood KD 550 turntable. Staff set it up, installed a new cartridge and ensured everything worked great. Amazing customer service. Highly recommended. Walter Kent, High Level Alberta

Our go to record store whe we're in Edmonton. Friendly staff and a 10% discount for out of towners. They seem to have a high turn over of records, so we can always find something new each time we visit

I started this review process by reading the bad reviews. I do this often to see if my experience shares any parallels with the really bad ones in case its a "by the grace of god go I" situation and I'm next. But jezum crow those bad reviews are nutty and seem to have all the hallmarks of folks with some level of social dysfunction.

I've been going to this place for years, pre 'rona and post, it's an amazing place with helpful staff and amazing selection. I grabbed an original press of Concrete Blonde: The Bloodletting which was in great shape and a reasonable price for such an item (80ish dollars) my kid grabbed a few 90's industrial CD's for 5 clams a pop which she spent the ride home reading the liner notes of while I tried to explain that this moment is something we've lost and the benefits of owing your media.

The store is hyper organized making it super easy to find what you're looking for unless its not physically there or straddles some sort of boundary where it could be rock or metal etc etc.

The atmosphere is dictated by the customers some days it's ultra quiet other days its full of pretentious "audiophiles" that speak too loudly in a stream of consciousness talking to no one and everyone as if to express in point form how much they know about music and how much more valid their opinions are than ours (before we ask), other days its all awesome folks mingling with the staff and each other sharing this one fleeting moment where our differential perspectives on the musical landscape past and present enrich each others existence. So just as its always been in every decent record store, ever. I can't go back to my small town Sam The Record Man, but I can still go here and that always fills an empty part of my soul when I do.

Also +1 for Reg's precision card strikes. The man's an animal with that stamper.

Some of the best selection in the city, but unfortunately it has the worst grading im the city and some of the highest prices. Owner has attitude problem. If you are dissatisfied with the condition of a record he assumes you are a pretentious audiophile and tells you records are supposed to have ticks and pops. Constantly trying to educate/lecture customers in a condescending way. One time, as I was purchasing a record, the owner took it out of the sleeve and cleaned it with a microfiber rag by rubbing it in a circle. I even asked him not to do it but he just disregarded my request and did it anyway. Guy knows nothing about accurately grading records, but takes great care to check discogs and ebay prices. Another time I bought two copies of the same record (Wshbone Asb - Argus) from him - one for $15 and one from the $5 bin, and the $5 bin copy was in better condition. The $15 copy was so damaged it was unlistenable. I returned the $15 for store credit. Returned a couple of days later and was disgusted to see that he had put the returned copy back on the shelf for sale for the same full price. He either didnt believe me about it being unlistenable and completely disregarded a customer's feedback, or he simply doesn't care, or maybe his standards are so extremely low that he played it and thought it was fine. After all, records are supposed to have ticks and pops according to him. I still look here for rare records that I am having trouble finding, but just be aware that grading is a big problem here. I await the inevitable cringe reply and accusation of fake review, which will do nothing except confirm the owner's attitude issues.

Traded in a small, sentimental collection that I inherited, super knowledgeable staff, upfront and super reasonable on pricing. INCREDIBLE collection of new and used on the shelves, take your time and dig through everything! There are treasures everywhere in there!

Don’t forget your punch card.

There, that ought to manipulate Google's search algorithm. Record Collector's Paradise is a rare example of a store whose name is a wholly apt description. As someone whose only experience with record stores was the small selection at stores like HMV, I was blown away when I first found Record Collectors Paradise, and continue to shop there over a year later. It's hard to decide what my favorite aspect of this establishment is, as there is a *lot* to like here. From the giant collection of music, the wide array of formats from vinyl to CD to Cassette, or the fact that they also sell top quality audio gear *with* a warranty, it's hard not to spend an entire afternoon there, even if you're just looking around. But that doesn't bother the people that run the store. The sellers are polite, knowledgeable, and demonstrate a real passion for audio. I can't tell you the amount of times I've seen newcomers to music collecting come and ask these guys questions, and I'm always impressed at the excitement they exhibit when they get the chance to get new people into vinyl. Just today, I was having an issue with my turntable, and brought it in to have them troubleshoot, and they jumped at the chance to help. Not only did they help me isolate the problem, they walked me through steps and gear that could help me solve it. I promise you, if you want great service and a great collection of music, whether you're a seasoned collector or just getting your feet wet, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to go anywhere else.

A huge shout out to Reg and the guys at record collector’s paradise. I went in April for the first time and was blown away with nostalgia. I promptly purchased several Lp’s and headed home to build a record player stand. Bought a record player and speakers and am now in heaven. They have set records aside and fulfilled my bucket list of 80’s metal. They are beyond helpful and more than fair. I have yet to leave empty handed or disappointed. Keep up the awesome work.
