Was told this is the place to get an oil change and I was told correct! Awesome service and friendly staff. Also super affordable for a synthetic oil change.

Had a flat tire and this was the closest shop I could get to from where I was. Was basically told they were too busy to help, didn't even offer any air to put into the tire to help me get to another shop, or recommend another shop. Definitely wouldn't try to use them again.
On the other hand, Tire Legend was amazing and got us back on the road in less than 30 minutes, and I would suggest them!

I had a great experience @ Red Deer Mechanics. I needed something easy, and instead of charging me a whole rate, they did it between projects at minimal cost. It still only took one day! Its so close to Christmas and I appreciated it so much! My car is back on the road now! Thank you, specifically Ryan, and Red Deer Mechanics!

Brought my car today for out of province inspection around 8: 30am and what a joke that I was greeted early morning by the front desk that my car will most likely fail even without knowing ANYTHING about my car. That was a RED flag for me but still availed their sevice based on their reviews. After almost 5 hours they called around 1pm and did diagnosed my car failed (rear rotors and brake pads need to be replaced). I was upset because prior driving my car it was serviced and all 4 rotors and 4 brake pads were replaced together a year ago (April 2022). They explained and even let me talked to the mechanic that checked my car. I explained to them that I rarely drive my car and it's only used for home-work like 5kms only drive and it's not driven everyday because I have another car. I called Mazda for the issue and they told me that it's unlikely for rotors and brake pads to wear that fast and lets be honest rotors (30,000-80,000 miles) before it wears off. Anyways I cancelled my other appointment with them. I always keep my car in top condition because my family rides with me.

First of all I just PASSED my Out of Province inspection today. With no ROTORS replacement and BRAKE pads needed to be changed.from HONEST AND RESPECTFUL shop. I treated your staff with respect, ask your mechanic. I explained to your staff what Mazda told me. It's quite funny how you do business telling me my car will fail just a glance from your front desk and she was not even a mechanic. Anyways, goodluck with your business.

Red Deer machanic is by far the best place in central Alberta to have your vehicle repaired. Ryan only fixed what had to be fixed, prices are very reasonable, friendly staff, excellent work, highly recommend them.

The team here is great. They were able to get me in with very short notice, my vehicle went right into the shop upon arrival and the staff were a pleasure to deal with. They kept me informed throughout the process, everyone was friendly and they were thorough in the mechanical inspection I had done (also explained the recommendations). I was stranded on the highway at 4: 45pm on a Friday. Red Deer Mechanic took my call and was actually SO helpful. On Monday, they got me in first thing and had me on my way by lunch. Quality service, knowledgeable staff and a sense of excellence. I would definitely take my vehicle there again if I'm ever in Red Deer and in need of repair.

Great prompt customer service over the phone, but that was it. I required a simple bolt in exhaust piece to be replaced (no cutting or welding) but was told to take it to an exhaust shop because they couldn't do it? It's not a magical mechanical feat to perform, so I will take my business to a more skilled shop I guess.

Went to get water pump replaced. Good work but best part was the technician also noticed I had overfill my engine oil because I read dipstick wrong. Him noticing that and correcting that possibly saved me engine damage. Kudos to him.

Left Edmonton on a road trip to the States and realized air conditioning wasn't working. They fit me in as I was driving through and got my car sorted so I don't sweat to death! Highly recommend, very friendly and skilled mechanics!

Ryan and his front staff totally professional with no up selling or cross selling on your mechanical requirements. Had the timing belt, water pump and 3 seal replacements as required for excellent quoted rates and quality of work. As a senior I have been to multi mechanical garages - have now

I'm very new to Red Deer and I needed a mechanic. One of my plumbers recommended The Red Deer Mechanic and passed along their number. I'm so grateful he did that for us. Honestly, the news about my Van wasn't the greatest and I'm now saving for a new one but they got me safely back on the road at a very reasonable price. They could have taken advantage of me but didn't and getting to know them I know that would never happen. And in the past I have had some bad experiences with mechanics. But definately not this time! They are so honest, warm and sensitive "ALL OF THEM". I got a strong sense of "Family" there. They were fun and silly but also serious and up front and totally honest with me about my Van and never tried to push extra on me. They even drove me home and picked me up. We had a really bad oil leak in our car. They made the repairs for less than expected and the job was done perfect. We have been driving the car for 2 months now and still no oil leaks/. We were losing over a 1L a day.l WILL be going back to the Red Deer mechanic for any further issues I have& highly recommend them.

Ryan has got a great business going on here. His guys are true to there word when they are fixing your vehicle and they find an issue what wasn’t listed on the work order. 3 years ago I moved to red deer and cled everyone, as my Subaru needed a clutch and some work. Fast forward today and he's a growing local business, hiring local, giving fair rates and the most honest workmanship you can find. He's worked on my SO's domestic SUV, my turbo charged import, and my parents car. One time his guys warmed the vehicle up for us and locked the keys inside expecting we knew the Ford door code but we didn't! So Ryan paid out of his pocket and had a tow truck guy there come in no time to let us in. He's given us rides home when we can't manage our own.

Your not going to find a better shop in town, i hope he doesn't get to busy. His wait times have already increased to a week out when they used to be next day or two. The secret is out. Best shop, just outside of city limits = smart $ wise.

Ryan is clearly focused on building a quality local business and he's doing a bang up job.

Great service, very friendly and professional, went above and beyond, gave me a ride on the day of drop off and literally delivered my vehicle to my place when it was done, estimate given was very close to the actual bill, discussed the issue with my vehicle and were knowledgeable of the work needed, I recommend this Auto shop for all mechanical and tire work.

Yesterday they replaced my front brakes as I was not happy with the ones that were on it. No questions asked.

Is an excellent example of what a mechanic should be very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in all the repairs for my 2008 F350 from an insurance Inspection to the completed work that was done. I would recommend this shop to any one that requires any type of repair.

Just over a month ago a problem in my timing system reached a critical point as I was driving through Red Deer and I had to get the car towed to a local mechanic. Red Deer Mechanic had stellar reviews so the tow-truck driver hobbled my little Acura over there for them to diagnose and repair. The personnel at the shop kept me in the loop the entire time, informing me of any major issues and the likelihood of a "worst-case-scenario. " I came by to see the car a few weeks later as it ended up being a worst-case-scenario, and the staff took me through all of the things that they fixed up until that point. They spoke in great detail which was really nice because that means they thought I was competent enough to understand the issues, and that appealed to me. The car has since been fixed and is running better than before. It's very nice to once again be able to drive the car like I am on fire.

10/10 would recommend Red Deer Mechanic
9/10 would go for beers with the staff
2/10 would put blue mud flaps on any future car I own
