I recently bought a 2014 King Ranch 1/2 ton from Tom at Red Deer Motors. Tom was a very honest and kind salesman who made my purchase extremely easy! The vehicle was in immaculate shape, and had a lot of work done to it before being sold. I’m going to enjoy it for many years! Thank you!

I recently purchased an SUV, and had amazing customer service and got a fair price. It was a smooth process, and I was excited about it. Unfortunately after driving under 2,000 km and on my first road trip, it broke down and required new transmission and $ 9,000 later. Prior to purchase it had gone thru full garage inspection and had some minor repairs too, so not sure how it was missed and no signs of problems. It was unknown and no fault of Red Deer motors, but still they worked with me to make it right in some small way atleast. Bill was a good salesman, but when things go wrong is lacking skills. Rich was good to deal with, and has a good operation tho. Hoping I have no further issues now and can have peace of mind with this vehicle.

Went to look at this truck and put a deposit down on the truck and drove from Edmonton to be told that it was sold. I literally talked to the sales rep 1hr and 20min before I arrived to view it.

ON TOP OF THAT I DID A CAR FAX AND THE ODOMETER LOOKS LIKE ITS BEEN SPUN BACK.

2012 the car fax states the truck had roughly 135000kms on it but this dealership is selling it based off the truck having 97000kms

I will give them credit that they did give quick response. As a used car consumer I have the right to negotiate a fair price that fits within my budget. I did make a very fair offer based on the research of the same model and lower km car. I did not expect to be basically laughed at and told I just wasted everyone’s time. Best not give your business to people who treat others this way.

Super friendly staff who made sure they did everything they could to get me in the vehicle I wanted. From start to finish with the process of taking a trade in I was super impressed with everyone I dealt with, and am very happy with the vehicle I bought.

Hi best watch how they deal that freightliner grain truck was in a sale in august sold for 36000 I now cause I bid on it till 25000 now asking 63000 crazy all they did probably was polished it up.

Great dealership to work with. They provided me excellent value on my trade and were very fair in dealing with the purchase price of my new vehicle. Owen was great to deal with and even went as far to offer to deliver my truck to me to help me out. It is things like that, that make the difference.

We've bought two vehicles from RDM. We bought a 2015 VW Golf and as part of the negotiations they gave us a copy of the Carproof report so I didn't bother getting my own. When we were trying to sell the car a couple of years later we got our own Carproof which showed that the car actually had much more history including being used as a rental vehicle. The report had been cleverly doctored so that didn't show up. Not sure if we'd have bought the vehicle if we'd known. Seems someone was being dishonest and deceptive. The car has been great though so just make sure to get your own Car proof when dealing with these guys.

The beginning of our experience dealing with Red Deer Motors was a positive one. However, this quickly took a turn. I have never had a worse customer service experience. Since customer service is essentially what makes or breaks a business I was VERY shocked with the way we were spoken to by an employee, a name I will choose to keep confidential on this review. I will NEVER return to Red Deer Motors and I will make sure everyone I know does not either. One terrible outlash can cause for twenty missed deals - I hope this business learns how to treat others with respect before ever picking up a phone again.

Terrible customer service experience I have ever had. Rude and disrespectful. The owner says that if there is a cheaper car then go buy it because this is not a junkyard. He charges an older car for more than what most people sell for and their reason is that its because they have washed the car and detailed it. Having the green light checklist at mechanically should be an expectation to all customers when purchasing their vehicle. I bet all the good reviews are from the employees lol

Made a deal with Barry the salesman over the phone wife gave a deposit with cc. The owner calls and says they never agreed to the deal?
I see other reviews and thought I would give them a chance but a person's word even after deposit doesn't mean much from Richard the owner very disappointing. Glad I didn't make the 4 hour drive up there thanks Richard

Made an offer of $28K on a car listed a little over $33K amidst the economic downturn. While I totally understand an offer may not be acceptable but got this response back from Bill. Thanks Bill, you made it an easy decision that your dealership is not one I would do business with!

The owner shut me down no help at all didn’t take any of my info and shut me down in 5 minutes even after I said I would take a loss. Then get a bogus curtesy call lmfao I’ll take my business else where. Thanks red deer motors for showing me who u guys really are.

Drove four hours to test drive a vehicle and loved it and was ready to buy that day. The sales man tried to rush me into signing using every cheap sleazy tactic in the “used car sales” book. When I said I was ready to buy if we worked on the price he refused to even talk about it until I gave him a offer, I did and he got offend and said no way. I told him I was ready to negotiate but he just said no. You could tell he was expecting to take advantage of me and that I would pay full price and he would have a easy sale because I dove a long way to look at it. I ended up walking away. I even called the next day and spoke to a manager and told him the whole story, he said “Thanks for the call” and hung up.

I didn’t think they still existed but this is the stereotypical used car lot and only go there if you want that experience.

I asked what kind of tires and tread were on a car, they said Nokians. What kind of answer is that? Nokian makes more than one tire. Knowing if they are the good tires (and tread life) can add value to a car.
Their price is the price, no negotiating even when shown comparable vehicles at better prices. Trust me their prices are not competitive. Neither is their sales acumen.

I went to Red Deer Motors with a strategic plan - to test drive a vehicle and refuse to succumb to the salesman tactics of being pressured into purchasing by hearing pleas of insurmountable reasons on why RDM is the best place to buy from and how this particular vehicle will enlighten, elevate, and undoubtedly enrich my life. Additionally, my plan was to also reverse their tactic by stating that I have a plethora of options waiting for me back in the city and that they 'might' hear from me after making my final choice. My guard was fierce and a force not to be reckoned with.

I purchased the car within hours of arriving and it is one of the best decisions I have made when it comes to buying a vehicle. The entire staff at RDM went above and beyond to make the experience as comfortable as possible - salesman pressure was non-existent (their orange walls of success will reconfirm that declaration). The years of experience they collectively bring to RDM is incomprehensible within the car sales industry. The extent of their vehicle conditioning and mechanical fitness assessment is something I have not witnessed anywhere else. I would definitely recommend RDM to anyone who is looking to purchase a used vehicle. Thank you RDM team for all of your hard and passionate work.

Very bad service. Brad was such a rude salesman. He snatched keys from my husbands hand and said we don’t have time to negotiate and our price is genuine but the price was high. We just left the vehicle because of him. It was bit overpriced but we liked it. We are ready to take it but because of his poor service we ignored that guy and left that place. I never saw such a behaviour of any salesman. Manager should look over his attitude. No stars for this dealership. Cheat people

Check the prices in the big cities before heading here. No room to negotiate on a vehicle. Always told "We are at out lowest Canadian Black book price possible" They have a 2007 Chevy truck with 109K on it. Canadian black book average sell pricing is $10,040. RDM pricing is $16,722. The same truck in Edmonton with same miles and options is $13K so don't be lazy and drive 1.5 hours for more options and selections. Typical Red Deer locally owned business, that charges way more than the big cities because of less selection. Lived here for 9 years and I never buy anything from the local dealers, because they are outrageously overpriced on everything.

The guy we dealt with was nice but had a rehearsed story he fed me and the people I was with. I wanted to trade in my 2013 Hyundai Elantra and they offered me an insulting 2500. I asked him if he would even accept that offer and he said no. The vehicles are pretty over priced for what they actually are, honestly. Avoid this place and go to a bigger dealership that has a bit more money.the guy told me the owner of this place is the type of guy to just write checks if there's something wrong with the vehicle but still offers a chinsy 2500 for my car. Outrageous.

Great team of employees and the owner is like no other used salesman around, from my experiences with him and his team I know he truly cares about selling nothing but quality vehicles that will last you years. I purchased a grand prix for my fiance 3 years ago now from him and have yet to have to do more than basic maintenance to this car and it has taken us all over Canada. Have put 80 000 km on the car and still runs like day we purchased it.

I bought an RX8 from Red Deer Motors. They placed a "Red Deer Motors" bumper sticker on the back bumper that covered a dent so I wouldn't see it.

I do not recommend this dealership, since who knows what else they would be willing to cover up.

Red Deer Motors is a prime example of the SILENT HIGH PRESSURE tactics that traps unsuspecting customers.
I can't believe the crazy high prices they get for their trucks, cars, and SUV's. Almost all the inventory comes from Dealer Auctions, where there is about 1000 vehicles each week consisting of ex rental cars, repossessed units, lease returns, trade ins from Brand Name Dealers that for one reason or another dispose to Used Car Dealers.
I strongly recommend for purchasers to learn how to properly learn how to read Canadian Black Book, and ONLY pay attention to: TRADE IN VALUES, and then determine what a vehicle is really worth.
I have recently seen a truck advertised on their lot for more than $15,000 ABOVE TRUE VALUE! Talk about crazy PROFIT!
But hats off to the owner for their business model, because if a truck doesn't sell for super high profit here, then it's loaded onto one of the many daily auto carriers and south across the border.
So beware, use the TRADE IN VALUES from Cdn Black Book, and always run your "Own" Car Fax report paying close attention to accidents, where the vehicle came from, and consistent ODOMETER MILEAGE READINGS!
But to be fair, these warnings apply to any used purchase.
Remember, find out ACTUAL new vehicle prices with incentives in place, and calculate depreciation at about we suggest 25% first year, 15% second year, then 10% third year, as a guide line.
NEVER use kijiji or auto trader to value a used car, use CDN BLACK BOOK "Trade In Values"

Purchased a truck from here in September. Went to engage the 4x4 when required in November and it did not work, was told by Red Deer motors that a rock must have hit the actuator and we broke it- Spoke to Dodge Canada asked if this was possible and it is not - if it was they would have put a recall out.
A year later go to get a Webasto installed, and the mechanic let us know that the truck had clearly been in an accident over 3000 (Was not shown on the car fax and was not mentioned on the inspection) The repairs to the truck have parts out of place.
If you purchase a vehicle from here, be sure to get your own inspection complete before driving it off the lot!
