Red Deer Resort & Casino

Absolutely horrendous service at casino restaurant! Waitress was as dumb as a rock and messed our order up 3 times after waiting 2 hours for food. Do not ever give them your money!

We stayed at the Red Deer Resort and Casino on New Years Eve and we were impressed with the price of the room (they had a special rate because of the holiday) The Casino had prizes of $$ every hour from 2pm to 2 am including a grand prize of $2024 at midnight. The room was clean and comfortable and the view of Red Deer was spectacular with the foothills on the horizon. Breakfast was exceptional. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

We are frequent breakfast guests. We love our server Yo, she learnt our names and says good morning to each of us. She has our breakfasts down pact. And has our waters ready for us. Just nice, feels like Cheers and we are the Norms

The casino it self is nice. Really like the main bar and the detail that went into it. You wouldn't think they'd have a casino like this in Reddeer.
But I'm glad they do.

HOTEL:

Front desk staff was excellent. Very professional and kind.

Room is clean and layout is typical of most hotel rooms. Bed is very comfy and pillows were fabulous. Fridge was already chilled which was great, hate having to wait for them to chill down.

Room service was very fast (Thurs 9pm) and the food was far better than anticipated. Shout out for the onion rings! Delicious and portions were perfect.

Unfortunately, it took us multiple attempts to get room service. The number on the phone would go right to an answering service. The number on the menu (comes up when you scan the QR code) went to the VLT lounge, not the one for room service. We were frustrated and ready to give up.

This is also the only hotel room we've been in with no USB charging ports. The plugs built into the desk were so loose the phones wouldn't charge unless it was sitting just right. After going to bed we could see there were plugs under the edge on the side of the nightstand.

CASINO:

We were excited for the prime rib dinner that starts at 5pm. We arrived at 4: 45 and it was packed!

After letting the hostess know we were willing to share a table (a common practice here) we were shown to a table within 5min.

We really enjoyed meeting the couple we shared a table with. I think table sharing is a great practice. Made our evening more fun.

We got our drinks within 10min but my drink was wrong. The server immediately offered to go replace it. I chose to keep it because I could see how busy she was.

Dinner arrived and it looked amazing! Sadly the Yorkshire puddings were very very overcooked and cold. The veggies were DELICIOUS and hot! The prime rib, huge disappointment. I ordered medium and got rare. It was also cold but the gravy was hot. It was so chewy that after 3 bites I didn't eat anymore.

The 4 of us at the table ordered the exact same, medium prime rib. Two were delivered medium, the other 2 were rare. All 4 plates were same - hot veggies & gravy, cold Yorkshire and meat.

Our server was excellent. Professional, fast, and friendly.

Very comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Staff were professional, friendly and ready to help as needed. The stay was very enjoyable and centrally located near restaurants and ammenities.

The customer service here from all departments was amazing. But I would like to give Sarah from the front desk a special shout out. She was more than accommodating. And went the extra mile to make sure we had an amazing and comfortable room. We will definitely stay here again.

My stay was fantastic! I loved the vibes and the atmosphere of my stay, the food was great and my bed was more the comfortable lol. I also loved your employee Fihdelah she was super sweet and help made my stay very special and worth coming back too! Hope to come back soon

I want to start by saying Miss Fihdelah was wonderful and very sweet. My experience in the casino was very positive with the staff and overall experience. Would stay here again!

Definitely the BEST hotel in red deer by far. The service is great I've never had a problem in all the times I've been here. The steam room & food is great! I have to give a shout out to the manager Adrian Strawberry for going out of his way to make sure we had a 5 star experience. This is where you wanna stay!

The staff stole our ID then refused to give us our damage because of this even tho then took copys of our ID for our check in and said they still had it intell we went to the front desk

It was ok. I never seen a buffet right next to the slot machines so I found that a little odd and uncomfortable.just the smells of food turned me off from ever going back again & ppl eating right across from you while you play was a little to close for my liking.

The service was lacking I waited over 1/2 hr for my Pop & when it was suppose to arrive she had forgotten it. So I waited for nothing & had to go up to the bar to get my drink.
No hits or even good game play from machines.
Other than that very clean friendly staff.

Our door lock wouldn't latch, the bathroom is old, shower wouldn't get hot, noisy, I could go on.

I go to Red Deer often for work, always book the club room. I highly recommend as you get access to the club lounge, pre-dinner drinks and appetizers along with morning breakfast. Kay and Pat are amazing and are a big contributing factor to my stay.

Book the King suite/Jacuzzi room for our anniversary.pictures made it look amazing. Was not impressed, especially for the price. Light was falling out of the roof over the jacuzzi, roof was disgustingly filthy, ropes and cables hanging outside infront of the windows blocking the view. Called room service 4 times before they finally picked up.listened to a dog barking across the hall our entire stay.will not be returning

Buyer beware In my option I do not recommend this hotel for anything. We had our wedding book here and 74 days before our wedding I had to find another venue as the "wedding planner" from the hotel didn't put much in the system about our wedding and they double booked. I feel because the other wedding was bigger, they didn't really care about mine. Yes, they tried to throw out ideas to "try" and make it all work but unfortunately the times they wanted us to serve dinner wasn't not going to work. I am very disappointed in how the hotel handled everything. I have heard from many people that their experience was not a good one with them for planning a wedding, so I am not the only one out there.good luck everyone

We came and waited 45 min for someone to tell us to move tables. Then waited another 30hr fir a drink. They brought us one meal forgot theothet brought it late. Food was so geasy I couldn't eat it. It was a gong how.pp
