Redbike

I've purchased a bike from three LBS in Edmonton, with my most recent purchase being from Red Bike. I must say, their custom and bike service are second to none, and they are every bit as great a shop as anyone else in town.

I wouldn't hesitate recommending Red Bike to anyone in the market for a new bike.

Wow. Just got off the phone with the ruddest sales person. And i have been phoning around. A friend recommended Redbike, however they will not be a store i stop in at. Told me i had to come in then hung up.

One of the better bike shops in Edmonton. Need to be careful when getting repairs done, to make sure they replaced the parts with what you asked for.

Had the absolute best experience - they are experts! There was no pressure when I was trying to find the right bike for me - the experience was so good I didnt bother going to comparison shop anywhere else. I'm 100% confident that I got the best bike from the best team.

I really want to like Redbike but I've been disappointed so far - I've had my bike in a total of 3 times now to fix a shifting problem on my road bike, and now after the last tune up, the one specific problem I brought it in for finally seems to maybe be gone (the previous 2 tuneups never helped, and it only happens intermittently) but the rest of the shifting has become soo bad. It shifts way way worse overall than before I brought it in, to the extent where I literally can't use some of my gears. There is a strange clicking noise as well in gears that were previously fine. They also didn't replace my rear brake pads, which I specifically requested them to do. As a result my rear brake is still way less responsive than the front. I had my bike serviced a few months ago so I don't really feel I can call and ask them to sort it out, but these problems were present right from the get-go and I've just been too busy and riding infrequently to have brought it up in time. As much as I want to support these guys, I'm going elsewhere next time - 3 times is 2 too many anyways, that's on me.

So I was giving misinformation to go there from a my friends brother they did not have the part I needed or delt with the type of bike I have BUT they did everything they could to help me as best as they could. Friendly staff, good up keep. Just a fine establishment all around

The staff at redbike are always helpful and friendly. This, combined with an exquisite selection of bikes makes shopping here a real pleasure. I've bought multiple bikes from them and will keep going for as long as I can.

Great service, friendly and knowledgeable staff and great selection of various bike styles, from touring to mountain and beyond. I'll be back when it's time to get my saddle bags and some other add ons.

Very friendly and helpful staff with an impressive selection of comfort bicycles which are relatively hard to come by on this side of the pond

I’m so thankful for the excellent people at Red Bike. I bent my disc brake rotor out on the trail, and walked my bike here. The staff were incredibly helpful. They happened to have the part in stock, replaced it within a few minutes, and had me back out on the trails for the day. Thank you for your awesome service!

These folks were absolutely amazing. I did a bunch of research into my bike before I put one on hold and was able to come in and get it. When I arrived they helped me out and sized the bike and helped me find the correct size, not just the size the manufacturer suggested for my height. They were really helpful. Could not recommended more.

I've been dealing with bike shops for 30 years, and to me Redbike is one the best for service. I would absolutely recommend them for a bike, and definitely for after-sale service. A great local bike shop

Great long time shop that is owner-operated.recommend.owner has been there everytime I have stopped by and employees treat you the same as well so that is even better.

Love the place, love the guys! Cliff was so wonderful in helping me set up payments towards a bike for my partner. He would’ve had no problem selling it, but he decided to help me out with a payment plan just so I can purchase it.

We drove 3 hours from Calgary to grab the bike and it certainly will not be out last trip! Will highly recommend this place to everyone!

Central location. Very friendly and helpful/knowledgeable staff. Had my bike in for a safety check and minor tuneup. Quick and easy.

These guys are great! Went for the $139 tuneup for my old Giant commuter bike and it rides like new. Very happy.

I mostly shop at redbike online. Selection and prices are great, and in stock items ship very quickly. They are one of the first spots I check for bike parts, tools, etc.

You've got to give Redbike a visit. Their staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and will absolutely go the extra mile to meet your needs. Shop local - these guys are great.

This is my local bike shop, and they do a great job. Service is very fast and very affordable. Can't recommend it enough.

Excellent quick service. Had a flat tire nearby and they sorted it quickly and also did a quick little service on my bike. Highly recommended and very friendly staff

Was out for a big ride and my handlebar tape came undone half way during the ride. I went to the closest bike shop for a quick fix which was Redbike. Front staff was very friendly and pointed me to the back to fix my issue. When I got there, there was 3-4 guys in the shop talking and when I told them what I needed one pointed me to a wall and wanted me to buy $60 handle bar tape. When I told him I did not have my wallet and just needed a quick fix of electrical type or something similar they all kind of looked around then one said they did not have anything and ended up turning me away because I wasn't interested in buying. I thought this was unprofessional and ended up going elsewhere finding what I needed.

Great service, they worked me in last minute on a Saturday afternoon right before closing, and thank goodness for it because my rear brake was shot and I was starting a long bike tour. Friendly people and a really neat shop!

The most knowledgable and friendly shop in town.laid-back environment with a great selection of top brands. Excellent shop for the most unique custom builds.
Redbike also has a very approachable and welcoming bike club with weekly rides and racing.
It was at Redbike where I found the ideal bike for commuting to work I was so impressed with the business that since then I have joined their bike club got into racing and bought three more bicycles from the shop (soon to be four).
Honestly I can't say enough good thing about Redbike and the people there, friendly people with a vast depth of knowledge and experience in the Canadian bicycle industry.

I had a great customer service experience with the gentlemen who work here. I initially went in to purchase a bell for my bike (old bell was stolen). The staff showed me the selection and assured me that my pick (probably the cheapest) would work just fine. Unfortunately, it was too small for my road bike handles. I exchanged it for the only bell they had in stock that would fit. Afterwards, I realized that the sound of the bell was way too soft to alert anyone of my presence. I didn't have the receipt nor the original packaging. I emailed the store and spoke to Ferf (sorry for all the questions, Ferf!) who assured me I could bring it back for an exchange, no problem. I eventually found a bell at another store, but went into the store and was able to exchange the bell for some other equipment I needed, no questions asked. Exceptional customer service, and they were very patient with me. Happy this shop is on my way to and from work!

Having just moved to the city, and looking into increase my time riding as a main mode of transportation, I went in to the shop to look at a particular bike. After a long series of events, and weeks down the line, and a series of emails, not only did the staff remember me and my specific interests, but they even went above and beyond emailing Brodie head office themselves on my behalf to find something that would suit my needs. 10/10 would recommend shopping here. The staff are personable, knowledgable, and informative, but you can also tell they care about their customers and making sure they get the best experience in the shop and on their bikes. The shop is cool, their products and staff the best available. Extremely happy I bought my new bike here.

I had research before visiting Redbike, but Firf listened and made recommendations that made my choice even better, When I had problems, they stepped up and made sure everything worked for me. Nothing but an excellent experience.

Only go here if you don't know what you're doing and are okay with anything the service people decide to do. My wheel broke and I was close by so I went to redbike to get it fixed. Replacement wheel and service should have been around $70. Instead, they ordered the wrong wheel size, so then without asking, they replaced the tire as well, and then decided to also replace the brake pads. Turned into a $150 job, and I only was notified when I went to pick up my bike. On top of that, when I was biking home, the wheel they had just installed came off!

This is my regular bikeshop and they are great - prompt and friendly service and great bikes/accessories.

Too expensive! Good place to go if you have lots of money! Don’t let the old bike above the door fool you. They are not about old bikes at all

This shop is trying to be a boutique place but fails so badly on the customer service. Non-busy week night in the late spring is a perfect time to go look for a new bike.

No one said hello, tried to help me or said boo. I have visited on and off for over a decade, it used to be across from where I lived and the way they treat woman has consistently been poor. I have a bike stable, build trails and serve on boards of bike NGOs and know how much money and weight women have in cycling. But this store keeps on playing the "old boys club" philosophy and I will take my purchases to other stores or online.

Maybe take a look at how similar stores in Calgary or Portland run!
