Have been coming to Jazmyn since 2019. She has been the one I’ve felt most confident with as she listens to what I tell her I want and flawlessly executes it! Happy with my results every time!

I really didn’t know what to do with my hair- I am a low maintenance hair person and had really been struggling. Mary took the time to listen to my concerns, then was very thoughtful and creative about different options. She did this all while making me feel completely comfortable about myself! And then she gave me an awesome haircut!

I see Sam at RedBloom for my blonde hair:) When you arrive at the salon they give you a nice robe to wear while you're there and also a drink menu! I haven't taken advantage of this but it's super cool that they're licensed and you can enjoy a glass of prosecco or a beer while you get your hair done! Sam is amazing, she is very thorough in developing her understanding of what look you're trying to achieve and explains the methods and different terminology and what it all will do.

Dayna was great! I went from blonde back to my natural hair colour and it looks and feels so good. They made pleasant conversation, but also left me with some quiet to read my book while the colour was being put in. It was much appreciated relaxation time. Would recommend and would definitely book again!

Myriam is an excellent stylist, she knows how my curly hair behaves and so she gives me the perfect hair cut every time. She also cares that detangling is not a traumatic experience as she is the kindest with the comb.

Before the pandemic I used to go to the downtown location and loved it. Last two times I have gone I have been disappointed. I have asked for a master stylist and who knows how to cut curly hair. My last hair cut is one of the worst ones I have ever got.

The stylist cut my hair wet with lot of straight scissor cuts and top layer that is way too short and does not blend in. I asked her to frame my face instead I ended up with rather short squiggly bangs!

After two consecutive bad experiences I can no longer recommend this place.

Honestly I wasn’t going to leave a review because I got my hair cut a couple weeks ago but the stylist botched my bangs. Instead of curtain bangs, she cut them straight across and the sides just go long and don’t frame my face at all. Really disappointed and waited for them to grow a bit to see if I would maybe start to like them but I don’t know what she did to my hair. It just gets worst and worst as time goes by. Urgh.
I gave a two star review mainly because the stylist was nice but that’s not what I’m paying for.

I love getting my hair done by Myriam. She is so friendly and accommodating, and takes the time to build rapport with me.

This was my first time at the salon as I’m visiting from out of town and I was beyond happy with the haircut that Maryam gave me. She was super sweet and was able to listen to my very loose parameters for what I was hoping for and delivered! I love the fresh cut she gave me, my hair looks way healthier and with volume! I’d highly recommend this salon! The service was also the best I’ve ever had at any hair salon - thank you to the friendly receptionist for offering me the coffee and samples to try out at home:)

I'm a transgender woman and I went here today to get my hair coloured and styled in a feminine way. I was a little nervous, but the staff were super friendly and sweet and they made me feel perfectly comfortable. The style and colour came out AMAZING, I'm extremely pleased with the result. Highly, highly recommend this place!

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Oliviat! From start to finish, everything was perfect. I went in for a haircut and balayage, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Oliviat listened carefully to my requests and concerns, and perfectly implemented my vision. I am absolutely obsessed with my new look! The balayage is stunning, and I loved how the color faded so naturally towards the bottom. Oliviat has an incredible eye for color and knows exactly what will work best for each individual client. I felt so relaxed during the entire process, knowing that I was in such good hands. The salon itself was clean, comfortable and welcoming, and the entire experience was incredibly enjoyable. I cannot recommend Oliviat highly enough - she is a true professional. I am already excited for my next session with her

Superb first visit to Red Bloom Salon in the East Village. I just recently moved from Lethbridge to Calgary and my hair stylist in Lethbridge highly recommended Red Bloom. I can see why. The staff is very friendly, there are four locations to choose from, and the expertise of a stylist who studies under Aveda cannot be matched in my opinion. I have been going to an Aveda salon for 5 years for cut and colour and it is the best investment I make for myself. I spoke with two staff who very openly explained to me the difference between the levels of hair stylist so that I could make a choice that fits my budget. My first visit to the East Village location was easy, and relaxing and ended with a generous "welcome" gift bag of product samples. Thank you Red Bloom staff)

I had an amazing experience today! Working with a new hairdresser is always a little stressful, but Troy quickly put my mind at ease. He understood my hair "challenges" (and I have many!) immediately. I left there feeling fantastic. And for the first time in a long time I didn't run home to restyle my hair. He nailed it! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this salon!

I got a haircut here this week by a graduate stylist named Sydney- wow. I am still so in love with my hair. She was attentive, skilled, friendly and just all around amazing. She listened to and accommodated everything I wanted, and then some. I wanted to change things up a bit, so we moved my part over. She went so far as to ensure I could go back to parting my hair the same way as before if I decided I hated it (which I definitely don't). I have never left a salon feeling so confident. First time here and I had an amazing haircut from Karin! My hair is very curly, thick, and was very long so I have always been nervous about stylists being able to handle it, but Karin was great! She listened to what I wanted and was very knowledgeable about curly hair types. I learned a lot about dealing with my hair type and I walked away feeling confident with a short hairstyle that I love! I would definitely recommend this salon, and Karin especially, for anyone with curly hair.

I've had long hair for many, many years and I decided to have it short. I identified Troy as a top expert in short haircuts in Calgary. Troy asked me many questions about my lifestyle, preferences and no-no's. He made me feel very comfortable from the minute we met in the reception area. I went in for a wash and blow dry and my stylist (so sorry I can’t remember her name) spent ages curling my hair to perfection. I felt like a million bucks and contemplating coming back bimonthly as service and styling were so good!

I tried out RedBloom’s East Village Salon for the first time this week. I had my hair cut by one of the apprentice stylists, Trevor Gieske. It was a great experience. He listened very carefully to what I wanted, did a thorough analysis of my existing cut, took his time, paid great attention to detail throughout the cat, and I am thrilled with the results. I am very happy to recommend Trevor as a stylist And RedlBloom as a salon.

Just one word. OLIVIA! Ok, maybe a few more. TALENTED, LOVELY and CREATIVE! She exceeded my expectations!
I was in a hair rut and ready to try something completely different! She gave me the best color and cut I’ve ever had! I always had frizzy hair, or so I thought. Olivia’s skilled cut and recommended hair products revealed I just hadn’t met the right hair stylist!
I have also brought my 3 daughters who all have completely different hair and she amazed even them!

I recently went to this particular RedBloom location and had the most incredible experience! I received a hair cut and styling from Olivia and she did such a great job. Olivia took the time to hear about what I was looking for, how I take care of my hair, what my preferences are and she also gave recommendations based on my face structure. I got my bangs japanese straightened at this location and they charged me $250 which is certifiably insane now that I have gone to the popular competitors in town and been quoted $60. For that price I can get all my hair straightened. Nice salon atmosphere but what a rip off! Never again.

Went in for my first visit today and was really happy with the experience. My stylist (Amanda) was great and did a wonderful job! I didn't catch the name of the woman who checked me in/out, but she was very welcoming and super friendly as well.

The salon itself is quite spacious, clean and they have a fantastic system in place for COVID. The process was thorough yet quick and efficient - I appreciate the protocols and steps taken to ensure everyone is able to be comfortable and safe.

Red Bloom is a premiere salon in town and I have to say that they have impressed me the last two years I have been going there. Recently, I booked in a time for a basic women's cut and was blown away by their dedication to safety with their absolutely wonderful COVID-19 precautions. I don't mind that I don't get any more extra things with my hair cut (I used to be able to get these, but with COVID they are no longer available) because to me, my safety and health are more important than a few freebies. I tried to book an appointment with a local business in the area I work in (Marda Loop), and this other place did not at all follow even a quarter of the restrictions that Red Bloom does. RB doesn't allow anyone in the salon without an appointment, has a detailed questionnaire for asking about COVID, and has taken almost half their space in the salon to dedicate to areas that can no longer be used. All stations have hanging barriers, and we are told to wear masks, sanitize our hands and our phones, and put our stuff in a paper bag. I have to say that this solidifies my own inclination never to go elsewhere again and I have rebooked my next appointment.

Red Bloom cares for its customers - why go anywhere else?

I started coming here a few years ago, I live in Airdrie so over the years have tried to find something a bit closer, however its been proven time and time again, there is no point in going anywhere else, from the manger to my stylist, Sam, they are absolutely incredible. Thanks for always being even more perfect than I could ever ask for! ️

I have been going here for about a year and I have always loved it. The stylists and service is amazing. I just went there amid Covid 19 though and wow they have done a GREAT job with spacing, sanitization, masks, plexiglass dividers and more. I felt 100% safe the entire time. I would recommend for a great haircut and also for anyone who is nervous about the pandemic but needs a hair cut!

This is my go to spot for all things hair! My stylist, Samantha, is so professional, and is truly a hair guru, in all senses of the word. I always come in with no idea what can even be done to brighten my full, flat, dead hair, and she gives me the best advice, and makes my hair look like a Victoria secret runway model every damn time! Would highly recommend her if you are transitioning to blond or away from damaged blonde. She will get you to your hair goals in a healthy and manageable way. She knows the exact product to recommend to keep my locks healthy and luscious between appointments too️

I recently decided to try this salon and they booked me with Karen.
I've now had three appointments (the first one I ended up not being able to make) and I love how Karen cuts my hair.
She's been very kind, patient and considerate. I felt bad about missing the 1st appointment, but she was very stoic about it. The 2nd appointment she did the cut and not only did I like it, but my friends did too.
I've just had my 3rd appointment and second cut and looking at it this morning, just after waking up, I still can't believe how good it looks!
I'm so happy I tried this place and they booked me with Karen and that in spite of how I blundered the 1st appointment, she's cut my hair according to what I wanted and suggested some modifications to better suit me.
Can't wait for my next one!

Worst service ever. Not being able to think about common sense. I live nearby. I had a mask and the stylist had a mask. Discovered I had to order online for a curbside pickup. Totally understandable. Then.they can see my hair and i ask what product they would recommend for what i want. Nope. Won’t talk or answer me. Only option is to email my question and describe my hair to them. No respect for my hard earned dollars and not wanting to buy the wrong product. No respect for customer service. We are 6 feet apart. Both wearing masks. Not asking to come in. Talk to me.

The salon has a cool design and a calm, welcoming vibe to it. You get to choose how chatty you are that day plus 2 treatments - I always pick the massage which instantly relaxes me. I have a lot of hair, and it's thick, so it's tough to find someone who can make it look amazing and Troy does just that ~ every single time. LOVE this place!

For the introverts who have been dreading their long needed hair salon visit, look no further because this place is perfect for you. They will ask you upfront about the level of chattiness you are comfortable with. I was also very pleased with how my cut turned out which was done by intermediate Caleigh. Definitely will be returning for their other services!

I had such a relaxing hair cut and style at this salon. The people were very kind and made my visit personalized and I felt well taken care of. The head massage and hot towel was a delightful touch! Would highly recommend Carlie, who was so sweet and left me with a haircut that was higher than my expectations.

The entire establishment is very classy and a relaxing environment to be in. All of the stylists are extremely talented so there is no doubt that they were rated best salon in calgary! One stylist is exceptional though. If you go in, look for Kelauren! She is wildly talented and will definitely hold a great conversation with you while she gives you the cut & style of your dreams!

This salon is amazing! Just saw Lauren (who’s a graduate stylist, I believe) style my hair to absolute perfection. I have so much hair because of extensions and she managed to finish it all in under an hour. I’ve had many blowouts before but this one was definitely one of the most relaxing with the best finish. I 100% recommend going to see her! She’s so sweet.

What a wonderful salon experience! From the moment I walked in I felt totally pampered and welcomed. The front staff are excellent and so was Lauren, my stylist. I've been looking for a salon and I think I've found it. Red Bloom East Village is nothing short of top notch! Kudos to the staff and management!

My experience has always been excellent. The salon is beautiful, clean, and very relaxing.

I've had different stylists every time I visit, not because I didn't like them (they were all fantastic in their own way!), but because of availability. I've had Alisha, Jordan, Alannah, Sam H, and more recently Caleigh.

I really appreciated their services menu that they give you to fill out while you wait for your stylist. You can choose from what extra services you would like and can even disclose how chatty you're feeling! Being a (still somewhat new) mom, I'll take any chance that I can get to just sit, do nothing, and say nothing haha:) They also offer Silk Road tea which is delicious and I like that they sell them to take home as well.

My last experience with Caleigh was incredibly relaxing that I could have fallen asleep! She was so gentle with everything, including brushing out my tangled hair! Her professionalism and techniques were top notch, and she's so sweet! My hair has never felt and looked so good! I highly recommend her and will be booking her in the future:)

The salon is very professional and the attention to detail not just on the work done on yourself but also the atmosphere makes for a relaxing and first-class experience. Services are reasonably priced too!

This salon is absolutely fantastic! The salon itself is clean, its tidy, it's well laid out and gorgeous. The girls who greeted me at the front desk were so polite and friendly, big smiles that never wavered. My stylist, Po, is phenonomal! She did my hair better than I could have pictured it, kept me entertained the entire time and is so friendly and easy to talk to. She booked my follow up appointment before I left, and made sure I get in for a quick trim between appointments. The whole atmosphere of the salon is fantastic, and you couldn't ask for better service.

I have the membership and even though my blow dry was excellent i didn’t get that special treatment that I had the first time. I believe that excellent service should be there every time no matter how much money you spend.

I LOVE this salon! I have always salon hopped but after visiting Jordan I will never go to another stylist in the city! Also, this location is BEAUTIFUL and I am obsessed with East Village anyways.

I come in with a general idea of what I’d like done with my hair and Jordan makes recommendations regarding my hair type and skin tone to find the colour and style that will best suit me. She’s up on hair trends and knows how to personalize these looks for real life. When I first started visiting her, I was a student, and she’s always so conscious and transparent with price, which any budget conscious person appreciates! She makes honest product recommendations that are actually helpful and not just upselling. I have tried a million products and the products I’ve tried are truly unique.

Jordan has always surpassed my expectations and gone the extra mile. The entire salon staff are so accommodating and I have always had a great time chatting to them during my visits. They also have super yummy tea, infused water and coffee at the salon, which is a thoughtful touch!

I’d highly recommend this salon, and Jordan in particular, to anyone who loves hair care and amazing customer service. I have never been treated so well and felt like my stylist truly cares about doing the best job possible.

I saw Alannah for the first time this past Saturday. I have struggled alot with my hair as it is very fine and can be difficult to style. She gave me an amazing colour and hair cut. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend this salon. I am thrilled.

I love going to RedBloom Salon. My hairdresser Sam T always goes above and beyond and asks me along the way how I like things and if I want anything changed. She really makes me feel like she cares about how happy I am before I leave!
