I own an IQ handivac vacuum and live in the US, and I have been trying to purchase IQ Handivac vacuum filters. An Internet search yielded the Canadian site, and I left messages on two dates. Today I received a response. It explained that this is a small family owned company in Canada, with one person handling all customer service inquiries. I explained that I could briefly locate the filters on the Canadian website, but it quickly blanked out and switched to 'page not found' while other products remained accessible. The representative redirected me to the US website, but while the same other producgts were accessible the IQ handivac vacuum filters did not appear at all.
I have an IQ handivac vacuum purchased from Redfern Enterprises and I cannot get the handivac vacuum filters it requires to function. Apparently they sell products to folks in the US but will not provide service so the products remain useful. If you want to buy a box or two of three IQ handivac vacuum filters I guess you must be a Canadian. Fine, but then why sell IQ handivac vacuums in the US at all?

I purchased a back massage unit at the home show in Toronto. The sales person said I would get a full refund within 30 days if not satisficed and told me their was a location in Mississauga if I wanted to return the unit. I was not satisfied with the product when I got home. I decided to return the product as it was $500.plus. Redfern customer service told me there was no location in Mississauga to return it and I would have to pay for the shipping the cost. Needless to say I was surprised and disappointed/angry. I spoke with Wendy she was very understanding and took my complaint to management. In the end Redfern waved my shipping cost. Thank you. As I was lied to at the home show from a representative who was on commission. I'm just hopping I will not get charged for the damaged box as when I was taking the unit out the glue on the side detached, I did not tape up the box so not to damage the box more, the box needs to just be reglued. I bought a infared heater 3 years ago and I need a replacement bulb. They told me a technician has to install it but I live in Vancouver and they are in Calgary. So they want me to ship the heater back to them at my expense just for a quote? ! I wouldn't have bought it if I knew I couldn't get replacement parts. Would has ever heard of a company that doesn't sell replacement bulbs for a product! Ridiculous.

I feel quite deceived by this company. I bought two massage units at a home show in Toronto and was told by the salesperson that I could return the products easily within 30 days. After realizing the company was all the way in Alberta, I was hesitant but was told that I could just call the company and they would tell me the location of another local show where I could make my returns if I needed. When I got home, I really wanted to like the products, but they caused my and my partner’s backs to hurt for days after use.

When I contacted the company to find out the location of the next local show, as per the instructions I was given, customer service insists that this is not their policy, and that they don’t know what their salespeople say. I gave details of what I was told and showed them how it was impossible (or extremely unlikely) that I could have misunderstood the salesperson’s instructions. However, they ignored all of that and only pointed to their written policy on the receipt. The issue with this is customers only get this receipt AFTER payment. So in other words, in my situation, they’ve conducted a bait-and-switch. Even though they acknowledge that the written policy is given only after the transaction, and even though it is not the same as what their salespeople are telling customers before the transaction, they are not taking responsibility for their staff’s words, and making me follow a policy I did not agree to. This is not how contracts work! Moreover, they’ve introduced new stipulations never mentioned before sale such as how the packaging must look when received, how there might be a 20% restocking fee, and how the items need to be returned within 10 days of contacting them (even though that is earlier than the 30-day window for return.)

I am following up with my credit card company and letting them know how I was charged under false pretences. I hope that others learn from my experience and avoid dealing with this company. It’s no wonder that the amount of 1-star reviews here are starting to really rack up. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope it’s a training issue and not simply outright deception. But in either case, the customer service is curt and unsympathetic. I hope my situation gets resolved and that, going forward, all staff will begin to communicate the same policies before and after sale, so there aren’t more folks being misled.

ETA: The company’s reply is exactly what I’ve been dealing with for the past two days. Instead of addressing any of my concerns (different verbal instructions, written policy only provided AFTER the sale, added stipulations for the return), they simply repeat their policy, and now seem interested in proving to me my escalation with the credit card company will not work. I’m letting the credit card company figure that out because I believe in following the rules. I followed the instructions given to me exactly for a refund, and Redfern does not seem interested in fulfilling their end of the bargain. There’s the money, and then there’s the principle.

Lastly, a point of fact, I was received an email saying I needed to mail my items by April 12th, even though my original date of purchase was March 18th, which was not communicated verbally or in writing at the time of purchase. Like I’ve explained above, the policies change and new things are added. Definitely buyer beware!

I had to return a product as it did not work for me. The return process was straightforward. The refund was performed within 3 days of returning the product. Customer service was friendly, professional and quick.

The receptionist was most welcoming and cordial and above all
helpful. I was impressed by her assistance and joyfully showed us

I Recently purchased a Heater and stand From Redfern Enterprises at a home show in Toronto. I am normally wary of purchasing items at these shows because if there is ever a problem there is often no store or physical place to return it. The salesman did a good job and assured me that this established company in the US would resolve any issue. As it turned out the heater stand was defective. I called and emailed Redfern, Jackie responded in 1 day and with virtually no fuss arranged to have a new stand shipped. I have received the new stand and it works fine. The service I received was very polite, responsive and efficient.

Awful product and worse customer experience. My wife received the iQ slim handheld vacuum for a gift but the unit does not charge. I reached out to the company and they said that this brand new unit is not covered under warranty since it’s a gift and warranty doesn’t transfer. Looks like this vacuum is going to the trash.

Above and beyond. After a year and a half of hard work our treadmill stopped working. Turned out it was just the remote but the effort put in by Jackie and Wendy to solve our problem was exceptional. They made our problem their problem and were very good natured about the whole thing. We recommend this company and their products to you. And gold stars for Jackie and Wendy!

Absolute Great Service - two of my three heaters quit on me and I tried to fix one myself - my advice, don't even try - just mail it them for repair. It will defenitely keep your cost down. The service rep I dealt with "Wendy" was a pleasure to deal with - she listen, gave advice, provided an estimate for each heater. Followed up on completion, verified my mailing address and shipped professionally. Purchased a Pure Breeze Air Cooler at kdays 2022. Brought it home and took it out of box and it already had a broken part. Water leaked everywhere. Tried calling the customer service number for an hour the next day with no answer. It just constantly kept going to an answering machine. I think if a person spends 300 plus dollars on a fan they should be able to get someone on the phone to help them fix the issue their company is responsible for. We had to go out of our way to go back to kdays to see if they would give us a new one since the customer service number doesn't freaking answer their phones. They did give us a new one thankfully to find out it doesn't even make my small room cool on a hot day. NOT WORTH THE MONEY DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THIS PRODUCT! I also find it funny the review who says she received exceptional service from customer service! That is a fake post for sure because i couldn't even get anyone on the phone on a friday afternoon. I have a feeling all 5 plus reviews for this company are probably fake ratings! You should be ashamed Redfern.

First things, i want to make it clear that I am not an employee of Redfern.

My wife and I purchased an air cooler, as these extremely hot days had us hopefully to cool our upstairs bedroom. Although the product did not meet our expectations and cool the room as hoped, the process of returning the cooler was a breeze, and the customer service was extremely good!

After reading so many negative reviews I was sceptical, and the 20% restocking fee I read about had me worried as well. They got back to my initial email the following day (fast) and thanked me for reaching out, gave us a case number on file to track and have documentation complete and ready. They let me know their expectations of the return, and as long as it came back clean, no damage and packaged well it would not be a problem.

As they said, it was no issue at all I came in and was out the door with full refund in minutes. Don’t let these other comments deter you!

And thank you Wendy and Jackie for your quick and professional help:)

Purchased the Shower Me hand held and multi directional shower head in one. It cost $189 at the local home and garden show. The shower diverter valve is not made to spec so that the tee for the hand held faces up! I had to spend $30 on a Moen diverter that is correctly threaded. So now that’s $220 total.

I am not going to even bother wasting my time contacting your customer service. It is not worth the headache for your 20% restock fee BS and probable excuses for no refund. Been there done that!

This all being said after purchasing the proper part, the shower itself seems to work pretty good so far. It works same as demonstrated at the fair. Hopefully it lasts more than a week. Lol

So 2 stars. Shower works as promised. Hardware is garbage.

I bought a treadmill from The Shopping Club and it came without a manual.so of course I tried to get it set up on my own. The floor of the treadmill couldn't go down all the way and so of course I thought it was broken. I got a broken one! The only help TSC gave was to give me the phone and email for Redfern Ent.who distribute the treadmill. I both emailed and left a message and I was lucky enough to get an almost immediate call back from this wonderful woman named Wendy. Wendy walked me thru setting up the treadmill - which wasn't broken at all - and syncing the remote to the machine and then, as if that wasn't enough, she sent me a copy of the missing manual. Redfern's customer service is second to none as far as I'm concerned and that is more important than the treadmill.machines can always have glitches, but if the customer service department of the company that supplied it is efficient, patient, and easy to understand, then you've bought a winner. I bought a winner and would recommend Redfern Ent.to anyone.the treadmill.we'll see!

Customer service is a joke! They try to get out of any possible way of refunding your money and they charge at least double of what you can purchase the product for else where. More like a scam than a proper business and whoever allows them into their trade shows should be embarrassed.

Just updating this review to remind everyone that these people are thieves.

Any responses you see from them indicating apparent good will are entirely for the purpose of damage control and optics. They do not follow through. They will not pick up the phone, and voicemails and emails will be ignored.

They stole $70 from me. Point blank.

I bought a showerhead at a home and garden show. Paid for a sprayer attachment which I was assured I would receive by mail no later than the following tuesday (bought it on a friday). It's been five years now. I don’t even have the shower head anymore.

DO NOT do business with these people if you actually expect goods in exchange for your hard earned cash.

Saw their product on Instagram and ordered via their direct website. Transaction was easy and quick and my ordered shipped within a day or two. Only feedback is the Canpar website for freight wouldn't let me manage my delivery preferences (leave on porch etc.) Something seems to be wrong with the webpage. Luckily I was home when it arrived so no issues. Will look to Redfern again when I need this type of gear.

Bought a stand up Veito CH1500RE heater 2 years ago at a fall fair. It was a tough decision to buy a heater that costs around $400 but I figured it would last a long time and work great. I can say that it’s a great heater and works great, but here we are 2 years later and it doesn’t emit heat anymore. I contacted them about getting replacement parts so I could try and fix it but I have to ship it to Calgary to be inspected by there technician. Just be aware of there products if you’re not from the Calgary area. By the time I ship it to Calgary from southern Ontario and pay the labor to have it inspected I’ll probably have $500 tied up in a heater that is no more significant then others from a local Canadian tire or Amazon for a much lower price.

I purchased during the last several years two Eurosteam irons. I love these boiler irons which make ironing incredibly fast. As a sewist, they are valuable to have in the studio. I have been happy doing business with Redfearn to purchase these irons.

We purchased a veito LED heater, we used it for the winter months in 2018 and didn't use it too frequently as it only heats around the unit itself. I sit about 3-4 feet away from the heater and am unable to feel the heat. When I turn up the heat setting it gets too hot and shuts off and will stay shut off for 30-60 minutes and its extremely hot to the touch. This item works for stationary heat 1-2 feet around the unit but not for heating small offices. Disappointed in the purchase, the light is also very bright in the dark.

The “salesman” at the Panasonic Massage chair booth at the Calgary Stampede with the black rimmed glasses and short brown hair was exceptionally rude and aggressive. You would imagine they would put their best at the booth selling chairs worth thousands, and if that’s their best, run.
Based on that experience and the reviews below, I wouldn’t buy from this company.

I bought a Panasonic massage chair Aug 7,2015 your invoice number 10146. I was told it was 5 year in home service. That was not true. I have to take the chair 250klms away for repair. If your selling the chairs in Saskatoon you should make sure people know there is no warranty locally.

I bought some Bluetooth earbuds from a guy with long blonde hair (Troy/Scott?) While at the stampede on Monday. They were "on for a special stampede price" of $100 and I was already interested in purchasing Bluetooth earbuds so I thought why not I'm already here.

After talking to the guy for a bit to get some info about them, him saying how good they were and how Bluetooth earbuds are convenient, I was convinced these would be a solid purchase. This was not the case.

The sound quality from these Bluetooth earbuds is pretty awful, like cheap $20 earbuds awful, and fiddling with as many settings on both an iPod touch and a Galaxy S10e changes nothing. It's like there's a fog or screen between me and the music.

Conveniently the "return policy" part of my receipt was left blank so once the Stampede is over, or maybe even sooner, I'll venture out to their location and try to get a refund.

This company is the worse company to deal with. I bought this treadmill from the home show. As soon as I got home I opened the package and the treadmill was damaged. I contacted them right away and informed them. After 1 month of sending as much info as possible (they asked for sooooooo much detail to try to blame me for the damage) they have still yet to replace or refund my money. I NEVER used the treadmill. All I did was open the package and it was damaged. This company is fraud and horrible to deal with. I do not recommend you buy their product. They pretend to be an innovative company. It is simply to get your money and from there, say goodbye to your money.

Despite the negative comments on the web site, we purchased 2 items at the Stampede home show: the Handi Vac CT449AC-2 and the EuroSteam Green Pro-steamer several years ago and love both. Have used the steamer to clean ground in dirt on my balcony chairs, cleaned my wood floor, my upholstery and those nasty bed mites on my mattress cover. Use the Handi Vac all the time. It is powerful and picks up dirt fast. Caution: Need to clean out filter often or the motor gets very hot. When we moved to Ontario, we got rid of 1/2 of our household goods. But the steam cleaner and handi vac were "keepers".

I have been extremely satisfied with Redfern and their service. I had bought the bucket and mop at a Home & Garden Show but bucket would not work well and when I called I was told no problem, we can send out a new bucket. So I did receive a new bucket almost overbite at no charge, then that also had a defect with the inside basket, so I did receive another which had been set for me with basket inside and I have ordered the mop heads a couple times. I did buy another mop and also bucket and have been more then satisfied with service. Not only are the staff polite when you call to report a problem but make sure to satisfy you. I have either called or emailed and have been extremely satisfied with the service. I find the products well made too. I have had the 2 sets of mop and bucket for 5 years or more and still working just great.

I have had very good experiences with their products. We are on our second iron in 20+ years. We purchased the floor mop and bucket and are now on our second one. We bought the massage units (one had an intermitent fault, and it was replaced), I personally did not agree with the policy to pay return shipping on faulty merchandise. But it was handled promptly an I received a replacement unit. I suppose perhaps the company should re-visit their policy on returns of faulty merchandise as it seems to really be an sore spot with most customers based on the comments in the reviews. It seems the products themselves are expensive enough to have some leeway to handle returns. I suppose even if prices were increased $5 per, knowing when needed, return shipping would be prepaid would actually increase both sales and repeat customers. Returns unfortunelty are part of doing business. As for people mentioning re-stocking fees that is a whole new can of worms, but also worth being addressed. Perhaps another day!

I purchased the Veito Carbon Infrared heater from Redfern and it has cut our heating bill in half. It heats up a room so fast, better than any other space heater I have used.

If i could id rste a big fat zero.they completely wripped me off, i bought 2 of ther tall defusers, cost me $294.00 all together to only get it home a realize that they were both already used.i cannot believe that they did this to me, i emailed the company.tomorrow i will try to take them back for an exchange for brand new ones. I honestly cannot believe they wripped me off like that, they even opened the boxes to show me it was in the original packaging. I opened the damn thing up and took it out of the plastic when i got home and they were both used.i will never buy from these ppl ever again.i can only imagine how many ppl they have done this to.i would never pay $300 for 2 used defusers.this is just crazy, im so mad about this!

Paid in full for a ladder at the Cottage Life show. Called 10 business days later to see when we would be receiving it and were informed that it's no longer being sold. They haven't refunded our $565! Will be reporting this company to the Cottage Life show and then BBB if we don't see a refund soon.

We bought EuroSteamer 1500 from their Stampede exhibition. When we went home and started it:
1- it took 10 to 15 mins to start having steam.
2 - piercing loud noise when using it.

We returned it and got our whole money back although we noticed there have might been 20% repackaging fee. Their sales rep at the stampede exhibition did not tell us about that 20% repackaging fee. But again they did not charge us that money.

By the way, the lady (with short black hair) at the front desk was polite and friendly.

DO NOT BUY FOOT MASSAGER. TOTAL RIP OFF! I purchased at trade show and was told there is a 30 day trail period. I tried to return it the next day because I didnt want to have to ship it back after they left town and have to pay for shipping.their representative told me I could hold on to it and they would cover the cost of shipping if I still wanted to return it. Will I tried contacting them and of course was told that I had to pay for the shipping and there will mostly likely be a 20% restocking charge regardless of what I was told. I am not happy with the service and next year when they come to town I will be sure to let everyone know through social media not to buy from them it's total BS!

I purchased an air purifier from this company at a home show. After two weeks of use I decided it wasn’t the right product for my home and returned it. The company later informed me they would be deducting a 20% restocking fee from the refund as the “plates required replacement” and “due to a smell”. This is quite ironic as the main selling feature of the air purifier is that the filtration plates never require replacement and it is the unit itself that creates the smell due to the ozone. I left a message with customer service to call me back with more explanation but was emailed back with the response that “the call could not go through” I double checked that I provided the right phone number and did not have any missed calls. I then contacted the rep who sold me the unit who agreed the the response of customer service was rather odd and promised to look into it and call me back. A week has now passed and still no response. At this point I am not even asking for my money back, I am just simply asking for a representative from the company to call me to explain the issue in more detail. I wish I would have read the below reviews before purchasing from this company. It is now clear to me that the 20% restocking fee is applied no matter the condition of the return. This is a scam as my husband and i inspected the item and it was returned in the exact condition as new. This company has poor customer service and no ethical values. If you are interested in any of their products, it is worth while to take the extra time to source and purchase from a more reputable company instead

Such a great product! I use it for everything! My house doesn’t feel clean unless I use this steamer. I let my mom borrow it for a couple days and now I am ordering one for her birthday as she said she can’t live without it! It’great because you can use any rags on this machine and you don’t need to purchase any extras. It comes with many great attachments including the bbq attachment which works great. You can also steam your windows and door jams. It also sanitizes toilets in those hard to reach places! So versatile and useful for many applications. Can’t say enough about this product. The only thing I would change would be the power cord I wish it was a tad longer.other than that is excellent

They are the WORST - refusing to provide a refund for their CHEAP vacuum (iQ DV-888DH) that fell apart on its 1st use. A total rip-off. Even though I have the receipt/box/etc.they are refusing my requests, in spite of what was promised at the BC Home & Garden Show. Even then, they charge a 20% restocking fee and place numerous restrictions - including deliberately ignoring customers' e-mails to allow them to continue peddling the lowest quality junk to people who haven't done their research on Redfern Enterprises. I look forward to telling as many potential customers as possible to help them avoid getting ripped off and ending up with a piece of junk that will break down. Shame on them for ignoring my concerns.
