I visited after an appointment at the Chumir and had an amazing breakfast! The staff were all welcoming and attentive but not aggressively so, which I appreciated. The place itself is incredibly cute and has a wonderful rustic vibe. I'll be back whether its alone or with company. Thanks for the lovely morning!

Had the chicken club on cheesy sourdough with a side of chili and it was delicious. Service was great and overall vibes were amazing.

There are many places where breakfast is ridiculously expensive, but this place has a good menu and good prices.

I ate the feature menu (mushroom blah blah) and it was well prepared and well priced.
I tried my friend's milkshake and it was really delicious!
And, as the name suggests, it goes well with red hot sauce.haha

Oh, and there were a lot of people in the morning, so I had to wait for about 20 minutes.

Every time I've ever walked past here, they are usually closed. Decided to come in before they close, and I am sure glad we did. The atmosphere is nice, the waitresses are very friendly, and the food tasted amazing. Apple pie milkshake and eggs benny were good.

Red's Diner is a small breakfast/lunch place in downtown Calgary. It's a casual place with old fashioned diner atmosphere which was a welcome break from all the resorts we had been staying at. Great food, very personable service and very reasonable prices

Food is typical reds. Prices have gone up. Coffee wasn't as good as years past. Can get busy, but I try to go early. Overall, decent place for breakfast, good portion sizes and food is pretty good.

I always come here when I’m working downtown, Lissys and Hailey are gems to have as servers! Cozy location great conversation
Only thing about the food I can comment on is I just like my potatoes crispy, if you’re like me it’s probably safe to ask for it but otherwise it’s great!

My partner and I went here for our anniversary for a celebration. She got crepes and I got the salmon special. It was delightful and delicious! I will say while the food was great, the London fog was exceptional! If you’re near the area, definitely check out this wonderful restaurant!

The staff at Reds are like family. They know what my order is and they always greet me a smile. Lewis goes above and beyond to take care of his staff and the food is one of the best breakfast meals I have had in the city! Thanks for your service folks!

Such a great place for breakfast. Any eggs benny is a friend of mine and they make a great benny. Sometimes breakfast places have brutal coffee, but this is really good (no idea what roast it is, but it is definitely worth refilling!)

Always looking for a place that's Vegan friendly for my wife, Me, I can eat anywhere, she can't! So Reds is now on the list of Approved destinations that we can go to time and time again and enjoy their delicious eats!

Honestly not sure how this place has 4.4 stars I was visiting calgary and before I left I went with my mother because it looked enticing but honestly besides the super nice hostess when we came nothing was worth the money spent.
Absolutely terrible service I mean I had to get up to find my waitress to even get my bill not to meantion none of my food was cooked.the toast was good though considering it's the only thing I could have ate. I'm not exaggerating either dont ask me how but my pancake was hard on the outside but batter and cold on the inside.
For a place that had such great reviews I'm not really sure what went wrong but I wont be back that's for sure after all the waitress didnt say a word when she grab our still full plates and I still paid for a meal I didnt eat. Nope never again.

Omfg the Brie and bacon (-the bacon of course) eggs Benedict is absolute perfection. Tbh every dish on the menu sounds good, and they all look good! Pretty aesthetically pleasing food that photographs well- so good for the gram! Not reds cutest location but it definitely does the trick. My meal came out to 30$ for one dish and a latte, which is a little pricy for a student. So treasure the food!

Cozy but pricey. Not a place you could afford every day however the food and service are A-1. Comfortable and quiet, in the low stress area of the awesome beltline. Breakfast all day with a very interesting menu. We will be back every week or so. Looks like the weekdays are the less busy times. Pancakes were excellent. Coffee top notch.

I ordered two Bennies to go. Three servers, from ordering to paying, confirmed I had two sides of well-done bacon in the order. Guess what? No bacon.

I had an incredible experience at Red's earlier to get some brunch with two friends. The food was awesome, and the service was amazing! In particular, our waitress, Gabby, was very kind, checked up on us while we were eating on the "patio", and got us our food quite quickly. Red's is a fantastic place to get some brunch as Calgary opens up again. The outdoor tables are also very well cleaned. The portions are also quite large so the meals are quite worth it. Special thank you to Gabby for being so attentive and quick. I can't wait to come back again!

Always a great experience and food at Red’s diner. Every time my crew does a trade show, or we are out enjoying ourselves in Calgary we make it a point to get breakfast here. The eggs Benny are fantastic, or if you are feeling a bit spicy the huevo rancheros are great. If you are looking for a great breakfast place, look no further

The food was too heavy and I had diarrhea for a week afterwards. Starting to think it was them because it started the night that I went there during the day.

I did not eat that morning so I grabbed food from y'all when I was downtown. I was 100% that morning and afternoon up until I was gripping the sides of my sink counter in pain. You can picture the rest. I've been in the industry since I was 15* years old. I am now 32. I know about FIFO and rotations, and cross contamination etc etc. As well as I've had food illnesses before. Im not discrediting you guys by any means. The food was AMAZING. It just made me sick for almost 6 days following that outting. I will be back to eat there no problem with that. I'd love to spend money there. Hopefully you understand where I'm coming from now with this.

Food is delicious and will cure whatever craving you have, and the staff are so welcoming and love making conversation with customers and getting to know them better.

I've been here so many times, and I've never been let down by the service or the food. The atmosphere is fun and rustic, it's a cute little place that's very warm and inviting. There are some booths to sit at, as well as some basic tables that can sit 4 people, and a bar for anyone who wants a coffee or something to drink.

They serve all kinds of classic breakfast items. Pancakes, French toast, hashbrowns, omlettes, toast. You name it, they probably have it available in different fashions. Their stuffed French toast and regular French toast are fluffy and delicate, and their eggs benedict is creamy and delicious with tons of flavours. Those are probably my best recommendations.

Overall, 5 stars across the board as a classic breakfast place!

Looked like a fun place to eat will have to try again when can sit inside. But the takeout was just what was needed.

My spouse and I discovered this venue purely by chance whilst in vacation and walking in Calgary. It was so good we returned specially the following day. The service was friendly and personal, portions amazing, coffee worth a second cup (if you have room) and the menu offers great diversity for all palates. If you can get there, go, you'll want to go back like we did. Portions are huge.

Reds have few locations now, some are better than the other but this one is for sure the best. I have been coming here for years, and now with Covid I finally decide to get gmail, to support local and tell everyone about all amazing places in the city, and this is one of them for sure! Go have lunch here, their smokes salmon benedict eggs are the best.

We went there for my birthday for breakfast with my family, and we had a fantastic experience! The food was delicious and fresh and made to perfection! And the staff were all so incredibly kind and friendly and made us feel so comfortable especially with our 2 little kids. DEFINITELY recommend! And we will absolutely be back.

The food here is DENSE. Your portion is undoubtedly going to be big and the food is amazing. I tried the smoked salmon benny today and can tell you there was a sense of buttery fluff that I've just not experienced anywhere else.

Another friend had the blueberry goat cheese stuffed french toast. Delish. Worth the visit.

Ordered eggs benny and a breakfast sandwich. So disappointed with the Benny. Waaaaaaaaay too much paprika all over the eggs. I tried to scoop the little mounds of it off but it’s completely ruined my appetite and definitely won’t be ordering this again. Boyfriend said sandwich was good but wasn’t good enough to go again. We likely won’t be back anytime soon.

The place itself was really lovely and had a cozy atmosphere, but I just had a pretty bad experience. I ordered the Oatmeal Brûlée which was marked as a vegan dish, but when I had eaten about a third of it I started to feel sick and realized that it didn't have almond milk but cream. I went back to look at the menu and though it did say almond milk or cream, the server didn't even ask or mention that it could be covered in either. I assumed because it was marked vegan that almond milk would be the default. Though my diet's a preference not an allergy, I left there feeling very sick.

Service was great, really worked to get my friend's order right when she had lots of dietary requirements.

Honestly, what more could you want from a breakfast place? Smiles, hard working staff and excellent food.

Best eggs benny's I've ever had! She said the sauce was made fresh daily. Amazing food with great portions. Delicious London fog. Nice comfortable atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Love this place and cant wait to go next time I am in the city.

It seems to be a popular place in this area. I am rating it 3 because the place is crowded you can totally follow the conversation going on the table next to you. I ordered Benedict and I just said no cheese the waitress decided to do dairy free and brought my benedic without sauce as you see in the pic and when I asked what happened to the sauce she said she thought I said dairy free: O
The next toast was crispy and no butter as I liked it when I asked for another toast she brought one that was fully loaded with butter and I didn't eat that. I think for people who are not picky and don't mind having brunch while they can barely hear their friends it is a cozy place to go to

If you want the exact same kind of food that reds diner offers at a better price, i'd say just go to nellie's breakfast cafe. Cheaper and same quality

I was in town for the day for work and it was nice to not have to rush. I would go back the next time I'm in town. Their poutine burger sounded interesting I will likely try it the next time that I'm in town.

Had another great visit to Red's Diner for brunch today. I got my usual the Rancheros wrap and my wife got the Chorizo hash and eggs. Both were delicious. Me and my wife love coming to Red's for the great food, the selection and the great staff. Although there is usually a wait the food here is well worth the wait.

Some of the best service I’ve ever received. They were so good to my 4 year old nephew. Food was really good. I had the eggs benny. Coffee is also very good. You gotta try it!

A very busy place at lunch so a little patience is required. Their dishes are heaped with fabulous fresh food, but the variety means you'll need to come back several times to sample the wonderful variety. I had a signature hashbrown dish with Montreal smoked meat that was perfectly balanced with grilled veggies, the meat, eggs and of course their own seasoned potatoes plus sourdough toast.with some fresh fruit on the side too. Topped off with good fresh coffee guaranteed I'll be back again to try another breakfast, and maybe someday I'll get around to one of their "lunch" dishes!

The breakfast is a nice big portion so I understand why it's a bit pricey and service is good but I've gone twice hoping maybe the 2nd time would be better since it wasn't breakfast rush anymore and they would have more time to prepare it a little better but it really wasn't anything special and not flavorful, it was kinda meh.

My wife and I came for breakfast because we had an appointment in the area and we very much enjoyed our visit to Reds.

The atmosphere is great with seats in the back for a quiet bite or up by the window for people watching. The service was on point and the food comes out quick and steaming hot.

Enjoy their regular menu fare or try one of the rotating specials. I can tell you everything that came out of the kitchen looked delicious.
