I had an amazing experience… that being said I ended with a live birth… I tend to think these few bad reviews could be the result of an unsuccessful IVF. It’s just not guaranteed. The staff was amazing, the protocols were adhered to and I felt safe, comfortable, informed and respected the whole time. Thank you!

Cash grab business. They only care about the money they make of patients. No follow up phone calls post treatments. Almost no in person visits after the 1st appointment. Time and budget wasted.

GO ELSEWHERE. Save your money, your time and your sanity for a clinic that doesn’t follow dated protocols and listens. You are just a number here. After being a patient for 5 years with multiple (7 in total) failed egg donation transfers I finally decided to go elsewhere. I was shocked at the difference and level of care I received elsewhere. Doctors who actually communicate promptly with you and alter your medications accordingly. Wide range additional testing to help narrow down the issue. Tests I never knew existed until finding this OTHER clinic. If you’re willing to travel, Olive Fertility in BC is exceptional and works. We just completed our family after 6 months of care.

We had the best experience with Dr. Tamaz Gotz. We’ve been with Dr. Gotz for one and half year. He did not give up on us as we are about to give up on ourselves specially when one of the nurses told as that the fertility drug is not doing the trick anymore (Iam on the highest dosage of letrozole that time). Dr. Gotz made another attempt /strategy to make us conceive without breaking a bank. And now We have a healthy baby boy and he’s 5months old. Thank you Dr. Gotz and to all your staffs. Extremely difficult decision, deciding to leave this review. It’s really tough, having to cope with infertility. The more unfortunate thing, when dealing with infertility, is having to deal with a clinic, that really doesn’t care for you, or the result. There is so much I could leave in this review, but I’ll make it a short and sweet as possible. You will never see the same doctor for appointments, the doctors will be very short with you, no time taken to answer questions, zero continuity or compassion. The nurses, they are too busy for your calls, or your emails. Consider yourself lucky, if they get back to you, in a short amount of time, or at all. Apparently they have to “triage patients”. The majority of the nursing team, seems to be confused all the time, with instructions, treatment plans and medication prescribed. Sometimes, if you’ve been through, a couple retrievals, or transfers, they’ll rush you out the door, with little to no instruction, or the wrong instructions given post op. They assume you remember instructions given, even if the medications have changed. You’ll most likely be emotionally drained, physically exhausted and broke, when all is said and done. I wish people luck, who have to go here. It’s unfortunate, Calgary, doesn’t have more options. I wish it didn’t have to be this way, for anyone going through this. We all deserve a little more care and attention, and not to be treated like, just another infertile inconvenience.

My wife and I started with Regional Fertility Clinic since 2008. We can write a book about our infertility journey. We went through many trials, and multiple pregnancy losses. We even tried some other places and different continents with same results. Abroad we tried even surrogacy, IVF with no success. But Calgary Fertility never give up on us. Docter Scott who is retired always called to check on us. We finally have a breakthrough in in the end of 2022, my wife got to deliver twins beautiful girls in july 2023 They are the gifts from God. Thank you Dr Scott and Dr Patterson the nurses, and to Fertility clinic teammembers. God bless you all.

Warning from Dr Foong who canceled my appointment without prior notice and when I didn't show in the other appointment they charge me $250 with monthly interest of 2% annually 24% and sent me a letter asking for money. How greedy you are.

Startling Incompetence.
Believe the negative reviews. They lost forms with personal information on them twice. Canceled a follow up with no notification, we found out when we arrived for the appointment. Can't even be bothered to authorize a transfer of our details to another clinic.
For every staff member trying their best, there seem to be three who can't be bothered to do their job. I sincerely hope the good ones move on to better work- there's no fixing this place.
If you're considering this clinic, don't. I can only imagine how much worse they are behind closed doors.

Although there are some kind doctors and nurses here, the way some of the staff treat clients is borderline unethical.
1.) They increased their fees exorbitantly, although I'm sure they use the excuse of inflation, their price increases seem more extreme than other businesses
2.) Some of the reception staff are so cold, rude, and uncaring (although there are absolutely exceptions, and I want to thank the kind people-this review does not apply to you, you're awesome). I'm not exactly sure who it is, but I will try to record names next time.
3.) It is absolutely impossible to get a hold of someone. You must always leave a voicemail, and hope that they get around to calling you back. Then, you must wait by your phone all day, because if you miss a phone call from them, the process resets and you must call back and leave a voicemail and continue the waiting process. This is especially distressing during time sensitive periods, as women doing IUI, we must ensure services are being performed during peak fertility.

You are dealing with people who are a vulnerable population, and therefore upmost care should be practiced. The services provided are expensive and out of pocket, I would have expected better customer service standards.

I have nothing but positive things to say about the Calgary Regional Fertility Program! The doctors, nurses, pharmacists and reception staff were nothing but respectful and were always there to guide my husband and I through the entire process, including answering any questions we had. From our initial consultation to after conception, we felt heard and were always made a priority. I would recommend this place over and over again! Thank you to everyone at the Fertility Clinic for the amazing experience, it’s truly appreciated!

I honestly cannot complain about this place. Being a patient for almost two years I only ever had one sour experience with a nurse. They’ve always been so kind and responsive. Every single doctor have been incredible dealing with me. 3 transfers later and we are now 28 weeks along with our baby boy. Don’t give up. They do make miracles happen!

My partner called to see if his referral was received and was told no and treated poorly. Then he had his Dr's office call and they were told to tell him that they have his referral and to stop calling and that they will call him in 8 weeks even though they have it. Very unprofessional staff dealing with appointments. Not a good look, do better or hire better staff.
UPDATE: I'm changing my review from a 1 to a 4, minus one point for the initial experience as mentioned above but my experience after that was the best service from the nursing staff to all the doctors there and the pharmacist who were extremely attentive and supported me through all my questions and concerns. My egg retrieval was today and went well. Thank you

I've been with the clinic for just over a year now. They have listened to our concerns, each question I've had, they have answered accordingly. I've found the nurses I have had, and the doctors, they have been very polite and caring. From reading these reviews, are a bit shocking, just because my husband and myself have had a good experience and feel comfortable there. I'm still with the clinic in the process to start IVF, and I couldn't be more excited to start with them, because the care from the team we have received so far.

Edit #2: another year, another price increase. Embryo storage fees are up again. When we started this journey and signed our paperwork it was $400 a year. Now, 1.5 years later it's $650! We did an IUI cycle in 2020 for $570, and now, 3 years later it's $800.

Edit: I took off a star due to the price increases implemented in the one year since our IVF cycle. Why get us to sign off on the fees if they are going to go up by 50% in one year? I understand that there are increases every year, but this is astronomical. These services are expensive enough without them extorting us knowing we have no choice but to keep paying to store our frozen embryos.

I was afraid to go to RFP when I initially read all of the reviews, but they are the busiest and, in my opinion after experience with both Calgary clinics, the best, for a reason. I do find that working with them can feel impersonal at times, but after doing IVF there I can say that I always felt like I was in great hands. Every doctor I met with was kind and knowledgeable, and the nurses were outstanding. Even the pharmacy was incredible to deal with, and their prices were amazing. They made sure that they only filled what I needed, and in the end I didn't have a drop of extra meds. The only people I didn't love were the front desk staff. Last time I was in was on a Saturday so maybe they thought no one could hear them, but they were actually complaining about a patient and her excessive calls. So unprofessional.

Overall, rfp made a difficult time easier and we couldn't have made it where we are without them.

Had trouble conceiving due to pcod. Met with Dr. Gotz, he was professional. He took time to answer our questions and explained well on how to proceed. I liked the fact that he suggested medicines for a while and didn't rush to suggest IUI or IVF. It took a while but we are delighted to have our lil one in our arms now.
Wait times even for a telephonic consultation are too long. If we should decide to change our course of action, we have to wait months to talk to the doctor. Something should be done about this.

They called us to book an appointment where they called my wife at her job time. She spoke with them and found hard to understand their system. I tried to call them but got an option of voicemail. They returned the call next day and I also tried to understand their system. I requested to send me the email regarding their policies, fees structure and deals. They denied abs told me to go through website. I visited their website and search all options. The information was not enough as their menu needs to be more informative. We requested them to hold a date of 27th or 28th June for a long weekend to book it with them. We requested an application at work for the same got the approval and I called this week to book it and I spoke to the lady and she said no one requested to hold the date, as we are liers. She messed up our appointment. She is saying that dates are available after 7th July now. I found her very rude. She don’t listen to the client very well. She always tried to make her own points rather than listening to customer query. There is no email address where we can reach to the management too. It’s one of the horrible experiences. They need people who really aware of customer service. If they running short of people then close the clinic or hire more people to take every single call of people rather than calling again next day. God save this clinic. Thanks.

I was nervous reading the reviews.but we went and had a great first experience. Not once did we feel pressured into anything and we didn’t feel rushed. We were able to go over all the options thoroughly. We got into the room right away and Dr. Raguz came in right on time for our appointment. All the front desk staff seem friendly too and our nurse was informative. So far a great experience.

My last visits are terrible. Receptionists are rude, they ask my kid to leave him outside the clinic which btw very quiet and just sitting still. After that when I went for ultrasound I was told by the doctor to comeback so he can measure again the next day and i asked if its necessary he said if money is the problem then dont comeback. I was humilliated. After that i never came back for another treatment which is gonna be my fourth which we think is too much already.

My husband and I both felt like we didn't matter. Our doctor, Dr. Paterson was nice but I guess I did ask enough questions. My final straw was having to basically beg for an ultrasound (which is paid out of pocket by me) to find out the fertility drug dosage was lower then what Dr. Wong would have had me on. This resulted time and hundreds of dollars wasted.
The admin staff, were hard to deal with. Just zero support across the board. My husband had to help me talk to these employees because almost every call ended with me in tears.
We have now been referred to another Clinic. Already we have been given more options and support. If you are currently looking for fertility options there are more in Calgary then just this clinic get second opinions don't waste time and money if you don't feel this clinic is the right fit.
