There is a Tang man who speaks English, wears black-rimmed glasses, and is a few hairs tall. He likes fat people. Because he is fat when he is trying to get married, he takes the exam for a few minutes, while other examiners only take half an hour.
The more patient you are in the exam, the less likely you are to count the candidates! The charge is $165, but this point doesn't make sense!

It's hard to find fault. If he tests you, be prepared to pay $165 to retake the test.

I was initially thinking of going to the Registry in Crowfoot since it was the closest to where I live, but when I saw how poorly rated they were and the way they responded to the reviews was just atrocious, I ended up going to this one instead—though it was an hour and 10 minutes transit from where I live (during off-peak hours).

The reviews did not disappoint. The service was fast and efficient. The person who handled my documents was very polite and helpful

I went for class 4 knowledge test, I had phone in my pocket on vibration mode, and I took it out to switch it off. The african lady (as I am unaware of her name) who is just an agent at the registry came in shouting and was so rude and asked me to leave. I maintained my calm and tried explaining her politely that I took phone out to switch it off but she was damn rude and I had to skip my test just because of that ill mannered women. Go in but try to avoid the african lady, she has no manners at all. In previous instances also she has been seen talking to people with an attitude and rudely. I don’t know why she is still working there.

Always plenty of staff to handle all the demand. Line moves fairly quick and they are knowledgeable. Service is always friendly and efficient. Handled many items here ranging from incorporation, discharge mortgage, land titles and of course motor vehicle related items.

Horrible! Power tripping staff. No discretion either. Would rather drive elsewhere then return to this location. Just awful.

Really slow service man, such a long line even on a monday afternoon. Definately they need more people at this location.

Came here for health card renewal and they told me to call the number on the back of the card. They said they couldn't do it and the reason was not convincing at all. Save your time and choose another registry.

Excellent service. Least time I have ever spent in a DMV. The man had answers for every trick question I threw at him and solved my problem. For. The cost of a Starbucks. Bravo.

I did my Class 4 exam with Richard. It was a great experience. He explain everything to me thoroughly before the exam and it was clear and concise and made me feel at ease, I would recommend him.

Did not appreciate the customer service, lady at the desk made it clear that she was only there to get the job done as fast as she could and wasn’t friendly at all.didn’t explain to me my situation and when taking license photos, she was greatly rushing me and didn’t ensure I was happy with the picture, which I was not.unhappy with my visit, would not come again.job was done though I guess.

I've been to this registry twice this yr. I found the service was very good and the staff was friendly. It is now my preferred Reg office.

Amazing service! Yes long line but Gordon Ramsay's restaurants and bars also have long lines. Josh was an amazing instructor, kept me calm was 200% about his job and not feelings or emotions. Josh is the real MVP along with the lady with blonde hair I spoke with.

Been going to this registry for years, always had good experiences. Amanda helped me today, very polite and courteous. They usually keep the lines moving quick. 10/10 would recommend this spot to anyone needing registry services.

I have had nothing but pleasant experiences the past few weeks when I’ve been in here often!
I just became a Canadian resident so had to get my health card and do a Knowledge and Road Test to exchange my European licence for a Canadian.
Everyone has been so nice and helpful! Amanda helped me through the process for GDL exemption when I passed the Knowledge Test, and Melissa was a lifesaver on the phone when I accidentally booked the wrong road test. I then took a Road Test with Richard who was so calm and clear in his instructions, and I felt very comfortable despite not having done a test like that for 17 years.
And honestly, while waiting in there I’ve heard the people at the counters deal with so much, and they always keep calm and stay super friendly.
I’ll keep going here for future errands no doubt!

My instructor Alan gave me excellent advice on how to improve on my driving abilities and I was able to speak to someone quickly and efficiently when I was finished with my test.

Bill and Josie are very kind, PATIENT, and really ready to help people. So I wish let God keep a such interesting behavior with them. I am satisfied with them.

I took my road test here with Alain his the best he was so nice and gve me clear directions I was nervous before but he was so nice and that make me feel more confident and that help me to pass my road test, and also the service in this registry is the best

I had the best experience ever with this registry. My driver instructor for my Class 5 Basic Exam was Mr. Ashok, on 19th of March 2022. He was so polite and easy going an made the whole experience way better. My car insurance was expired and I was unable to check that before. He helped me to get another car within 5minutes and made my exam easy without any cancellations. He behave well gave me the instructions so nicely. I would say best service forever.

Judy is the worst road test examiner. Do not take your road test with her. She kept on freaking out and pointing out my mistakes while I was driving. Making me nervous. Then she failed me for something where I had right of way. I checked with my next examiner on that point she failed me too, and he agreed I had the right of way.

I went for my road test, super nervous, definetly terrified of failing, I had ALLEN as my examiner and he was so pleasant to interact with! Extremely kind, very calm and when I did good he hyped me up, got my parallel park on the third try and he even let me take a deep breath before continuing as he could likely tell the nerves were going strong 100% amazing at his job, you definetly want to take your road test with him especially if you are new to driving or just high anxiety like me

I went to do my road test and Allen was a very nice friendly guy he was awesome and I had a few questions so I asked him and he answered them in a very good clear way Allen was awesome and then I had my road test with Richard as my examiner and he was so friendly and he explained to me everything I needed to know he’s an amazing guy 11/10 for sure:)

Did my advanced road test with Richard and had a great experience. Richard explained everything thoroughly before we started the examination and his clear calm instructions really helped with easing any nervousness I had. Would recommend!

I have been going to this place for years. But I did stop for a brief time to go to a new one that did not have lines. The new place on McKnight, it was great the first time, but they do not have the experience and knowledge they have here. I did have to change a review for that location.

If there is a line, wait, it is worth it, line is really not that bad and moves fast anyway. I have multiply corporations and lots of vehicles. I will never go anywhere else. I guess unless they change staff.

Friendly staff! Which is such an unfortunate rarity at Registration offices. The staff here are patient, kind, fun to interact with and very knowledgeable.

Best registry in Calgary. The staff are fantastic. Usually I hate my life when I have to go to the registry but the staff here make it painless. Don’t bother going to another registry. Seriously.

My first experience was great, the girl was very informative and helpful. When I returned, however, I was told completely different information by a different worker there and was cut off several times when I tried to explain that I had just been told something different the day before. I found this person to be rather condescending whether he intended to be or not. The least any “customer service representative” can do is listen to the customer even if I was misinformed initially.

Called to see if they could get me a new health care card. Kathy was extremely helpful and got it sorted out for me over the phone in about 5 minutes.

Was in and out, relatively quickly. Young man was quite helpful. All safety protocols were adhered by.

I took my first Canadian driving test in this registry. Firstly the area is very difficult and busy. Secondly, the attitude of the lady was very rude.

There were two people not wearing masks in the small hardly distanced line. Would've been ok if everyone was wearing a mask but if there is no enforcement that doesn't work as it is a place people have to go to renew their licenses etc. Lots of sanitizer and there were signs on the floor and ground outside of where to stand which is great.

I had road test to day with one of like chains guy very rude guy he is not professional examiner he acted like I don't know how to drive but I have very good skills to drive so disappointed with that guy and I don't recommend any body with this guy

It was very good. They were practicing social distance and I was able to wait inside at a safe distance until my student came back from his road test.

Staff are decent. Except when taking a test and all you can hear is them arguing and laughing with a arrogant customer. Would not recommend taking a test here not the environment at all. Very angry and upset with the whole incident. Should have just recorded it failed anyways.

Only reason I am giving this place two stars is because the man at the front was very friendly and polite, I was not nervous for my road test because I knew I was ready and I was confident in my skills, sure they are not perfect but for the examiner to say I did not mirror check when I was checking and did not give a clear explanation for my mistakes is frustrating I understand getting honked at is an automatic fail but I feel as if that was unfair and the person who did so was ignorant about the road test I was taking.

TERRIBLE. Not sure why my health care application could be missed as per Alberta health official. I applied TWICE and staff could still miss them all. If you don’t want to have extra stress in your life, AVOID this place.

There is a woman who get the road test for class 5 GDL. She is terrible professionally. She just looks for some made up failures if she does not like someone at the very first. We had experience for driving for a couple of years and after comparing with other registries, I am pretty sure she is unfair. Not recommended at all for road test, although the streets around the registry are good.

1/10 do not recommend, I ended up waiting 40 minutes outside because the guy who helped me had left, without telling me that the computer is available, after 20 minutes of standing outside in crazy windy conditions. I lined up again to ask what the hell was going on.

I absolutely do not recommend. Rude staff with poor service - they act like they're doing you a favour. If you're interested in wasting your time and money be sure to give them a visit

I was happy with the customer service, especially when they were almost about to close, I had to go in because I get off work at 430 and they close at 5, Diana took care of my name change documents and not once made us feel that we were there after hours, thank you so much for accommodating us.

Good service with most clerks when I go there but the clerk Amanda talks too much. I mean its good to have the customer involved but she talks more than necessary

This is a place I have been warned about however I decided to give this place a five star rating. This has been my experience: Last year in July I had gone to Registry Express to book for my GDL Class 5 basic road test. I really Love Registry Express, however due to close proximity to where I live and also due to availability of a test day I was recommended Registry Direct. Two days later I went for the exam and WOW a guy who just came from Lethbridge at that time was just AMAZING. He was very polite and friendly. He made me really relaxed. After the road test he told me I passed. He however, informed me about some minor errors I made and how to be better. In December that same year I went in for my Class 5 Advance driving test. This was a nightmare. A lady who was my examiner was just hmm.she was in a mood and it was not pleasant. She made me so uncomfortable, was not friendly but kept complaining of my driving. Anyway she failed me without apology. I was warned before booking for an advance road test here but I felt that since my first encounter was a pleasant one then my second should be the same.
However, not sure why, I still decided to book again for the class 5 advance road test still with this same Registry Direct. Some friends of mine had already said I had some loose screws upstairs but I choose to go back there to give this place a chance. In July this year I met a guy who was so nice, polite and friendly. From the beginning I was relaxed. The road test began and he never for once made me nervous. After the road test, he informed me that I have passed and was even pleased with my driving. Yes, he still gave me an advice or two but overall he was pleased with my driving.
Hence, I have decided to give Registry Direct a 5 star. A person or two may influence us to give a poor score however, knowing that there are still good people working there has made me to give this place a good review. Yes, I had a bad experience which even cost me a career change but in the end I choose to see the good that Registry Direct has - Men and women who are hard working but with different personalities. Most are really nice.

Great costumer service. The people over there are just soooo chill and down to Earth! Sadly I failed my first attempt at my knowledge test.

1/10. I do not recommend this registry. Attendant did not have any clue about what documents to accept. I went for knowledge test and i showed my letter of acceptance of school and she denied to accept it because it was not printed on that day. Moreover asked for my physical lease agreement and did not accept the electronic copy. Bad customer service.

I don't understand why the people have complains regarding their road tests at this registry. I had my Class 5 GDL test today at this location. Ahmad was my examiner for the test. He is an amazing examiner, with thorough knowledge as he really made me understand the minor mistakes I committed in such an efficient manner. Before starting the test he made me so comfortable, it helped in relieving the exam pressure. It was an amazing experience at this location as before going for the test I was really worried about if I have chosen the right location for the test after going through the negative remarks but that was the right choice to pick this location for the test.

It's so disappointing the surrounding community is stuck with these guys. Also Please staff your location. The worst part of my adult life is this place

They were fast and efficient and all of their windows were open during lunchtime rush. They were direct, professional and deserving of praise.

Despite the line ups due to covid19 restrictions they were very efficient and the line moved quickly.

I have been using this location for about 10 years and the service has been good, prompt and friendly. Today, for the first time it was prompt and decidedly unfriendly. I made a comment about my own procrastination on getting my registration renewed and was rebuffed by the person serving me with a short lecture on why there are lineups. So sorry you have work to do no your work day.

Very disappointed with the experience at this location, and will probably never use this registry in the future.

I've never taken tests here.but I moved from another province and the girl here was most knowledgeable about the applicable process and regulations than any of the several registries that I called (other places told me I needed additional documentation from Ontario which would cost me more money.but were in fact not required).
Was served immediately.process was quick and easy and was on my way in no time with some bonus extra helpful advice for my specific needs.

Edit: I still go here for all my registry needs, service is fast (compared to service Ontario at least) and they handled everything I've thrown at them including a bunch of stuff related to a vehicle importation smoothly and easily.
