So I moved in to a unit last October, and when I arrived there were people still here cleaning, the carpets were moist and there were several things left undone, such as handles broken off the cabinets, and they never fixed it. The fridge was also not working so I lost a whole bunch of meat in the freezer. Their communication skills are absolutely horrible, I had to leave many voicemails and never received a call back, I’d also call and be on hold and then they’d hang up just as soon as I started talking. They would tell me things and then when I asked about it later they would gaslight me into thinking I was wrong and they never said that. Kate was my supervisor and she was always looking for a fight, just another privileged, middle aged “Karen”. You’re never right when you speak to her, everything has to be a fight. Very displeasing, unsettling, and unprofessional. I will never rent or buy with them again. An absolute horrible experience. If you want to be happy in life avoid them at all costs, I’m just trying to warn you so you don’t have to go through what I did.

I was a tenent for Remax Rental Advisors. I had utilities in my name and the downstairs tenets didn’t pay me what was owed ($500). I moved out and they moved out a month later, RRA told me that they can’t do anything and I’d have to take them to court. So I’m out $500 paying someone else’s way. Be wary and know that if you’re sharing utilities and they don’t pay you’ll be on the hook. Absolutely unprofessional.

Well if i can give more than 5stars i'll do because Michelle and Aki made a really great experience renting with Remax rental advisors.the Apparemment was as the pictures in there ad very clean and spotless. The communication went so smooth either via calls or email.

In the other hand, I have to thank Aki as well, who dealt with the office paperwork, she made the process all the was very clear, precise and the paperwork and forms required for the lease were straight forward. The communication, either over the phone or via emails was clear and easy to understand.

The process of moving across the country is stressful but dealing with Aki Bhardwaj has made it so much easier. She was so helpful in this whole process, always patient and kind and knowledgeable. Things went very smoothly with her support.

The agent we worked with, Mioara, was beyond amazing. Not only is she just a lovely person, but she answered every single question we had, and it was a lot of them. We are first time renters and Mioara filled the gaps in our knowledge. She made the process of viewing and applying way less stressful! Would absolutely recommend working with her!

I was not treated well as a tenant. Extremely unprofessional. My rental was not clean when we moved in. When I moved out, I filled small holes in the wall with putty, so I understood there would be need for some painting. I was quoted $800 for all repairs ($1500 sec dep). I paid a professional cleaner to come in, cleaned top to bottom and steamed carpets. Everything that was left in the Unit was there when I took it over. The Unit was in far better state of cleanliness when I left than when I took it over. Once I left I was told they had to pay for extra cleaning, repairs etc and everything exceeded my security deposit. I asked for receipts and was completely ignored. This was extremely stressful to deal with, I had just lost my brother, we had a newborn baby, and because I'm military I was being moved to Ontario from Alberta. Beware this agency, extremely unprofessional and self serving people. I will never rent on the economy again due to my experience with them it was truly awful.

Update: it took a 1 star review for the company to contact me and provide receipts many months later. They asked me to take down the 1 star review, which isn't deserved. Terrible experience which added undue stress to myself and my family.

REMAX was very helpful in booking the apartment for me. I would specially like to thank Aki, who was very helpful with her assistance. Being new to the place I was not knowing the rules and regulations. She helped me to understand the same and the processing went smooth and I was able to find my apartment. Even today in case of any issues she helps me out.

Unfortunately, this branch does not live up to the standard most associate with the Remax brand. All around poor service delivery for home owners.

Used Remax rental advisors to rent an appartment. Overall experience was good except the repair works noted during move in inspection are not yet done and its been more than 45 days since I moved in. There has not been any intimation from Remax regarding by when they want to perform the repairs. Would have been 5 stars if that was taken care of on time.

We have had a great experience working with Russ Jacknisky at Rental Advisors! He was always available to answer our questions and was able to rent our home in less than a few days! We appreciate that we not only got great renters, but that our home will be well managed too!

We are happy with the way we were treated everyone was very nice and pleasant to talk to. I felt their aim was was to make the move and paper work go as smoothly as possible and it was much appreciated

Amrik Barsa and his team at REMAX were a pleasure to work with throughout the condo rental process. They handled all of the important details from advertising, showing, communicating with prospective tenants, and taking care of all repairs and maintenance issues. It was especially pleasing to work with an experienced team, who always did exactly what they said they would do. Their excellent customer service made it a very positive experience. Shaneal was our Property Manager and he could be counted on to respond promptly to my texts and had great follow-through. He was always on top of everything and went above and beyond. I would not hesitate to use him, or Remax Rental Advisors again.

I turned to Remax Rental Advisors after a nightmare experience with my past tenants. I live in New Zealand and came back to my house being wrecked. I met with Michelle Laidlow, she was so calming and told me what I needed fixed before we take photos and put add up.
We meet a few days later after getting some Reno’s done, I was still uncertain that the house was ready to rent. Michelle came took photos and assured me it’s fine and we’ll get this house rented.
Sure enough she showed it and found a good tenant for it.
I think she pulled off a little miracle.
I’m very thankful that I have her looking over my place as I head back to NZ.
Their office was able to get the paperwork together quick thanks to Kanika, so when I left it was all taken care of.

My experience with Rental Advisors has been a rocky one to say the least. However, given all of the issues I’ve had throughout my time renting, having management taking advantage of me, etc… I am very thankful I was able to speak with Russ during my walkout and be treated like a human being for the first time since dealing with this company. I highly recommend speaking with Russ and only Russ for all of your needs! I genuinely wish I was able to say the same for the rest of the people working under this company. If I hadn’t spoken with Russ during my walkout, I would’ve given zero stars for the blatant disregard of human decency I was shown by all other members. Russ, thank you deeply.

Since I am unable to give a zero star review and since leaving the five star review I’ve still been treated like trash and been completely taken advantage of by this company even though I am no longer a tenant. Nasir has to be one of the worst property managers… Nasir, you have walked all over me even given my situation, you are overcharging me by about $3000 and illegally took money from my account after we broke the lease, how can you genuinely live with yourself? This company only values money, they will charge you for damages that were there prior to moving in, they will illegally take money out of your account then act like they did absolutely nothing wrong. DO NOT RENT WITH REMAX RENTAL ADVISORS! Especially not Nasir! I am one to give people the benefit of the doubt, but given how they’ve handled themselves, I no longer will keep my mouth shut. This company’s actions are completely illegal, stay away!

Moving is extremely stressful, even just looking at places is stressful. As someome who was new to the whole process I am thankful I ended up going through Remax. At every step I was getting great help and advice. It was a great relief to work with Kanika, Russ and Kate. They made my life so much easier in this stressful time. We hired Remax Rental Advisors a year ago to manage our property in Edmonton. We are very happy of their services, specially property manager RUSS is very helpful, professional and always taking care of any concern we have, I highly recommend their services to anyone, great job, keep it up.

Kate was awesome! I would definitely recommend her, I was able to find the home I was looking for on my first viewing. She was very sweet and made sure I was aware of everything! As I am a very young adult, she insured that I had all the information I need for my move in and living! She was very open and kind when I was asking questions. If I move again, I’ll definitely be asking Kate to help me out!

I became a tenant of REMAX Rental Advisors in the midst of a minor office shuffle. While there were a few hiccups, the team went above and beyond to make sure my maintenance and miscillaneous requests were recieved in the shortest time they had available.
I would like to specifically thank Kanika, for being so incredibily understanding and straightforward with the administrative paperwork; Tim, for stepping in on behalf of maintenance to respond to my requests while the office was training an incredible member of the team; Elizabeth, for taking a journey of knowledge with me and so diligently dealing with my maintenance matters; and of course the manager of this property, Michelle, who made the viewing comfortable and relaxed, and is so incredibly understanding when it comes to matters of conflict.

Everybody that I've had a chance to interact with on the RRA team has never treated me like a customer, or a tenant. They've treated me like a friend, made the entire process seamless and most importantly made me feel human. An incredible team. Thanks folks!

Kate Ploner and Kanika were really helpful, initially I was interested in one of their properties but they said someone already rented it out but that didn’t stop them from helping me find my perfect home.

Just started renting my first apartment through REMAX Rental Advisors, and Russ made the process so easy. Clear and friendly communication definitely helped the process, as I knew none of the next steps to take. Now I'm all set up and couldn't be happier!
