Do not let your children use the washroom there! Very disturbing content written on walls and graphic nude pictures. I will nit take my kids there again!

Selena and Maria were welcoming and so helpful for my friend who had never been to remedy before. They are what makes remedy as peaceful and a relaxing experience.

Pretty sure this is the worst Remedy in town. Just customer service wise. It shouldn't take every customer double checking their order, asking for their food when the bell rings, etc.

It didn't take 25 minutes for a bagel - it took 25 minutes for the front staff to bring the bagel from the kitchen to the counter.
My food Sat for so long on the counter that it's cold.

Always like Remedy but would suggest any other location if you can avoid this one.

Huge menu, and I haven’t ordered a dish I didn’t love. The Rooibos Chai is my favorite drink, but there’s a ton more to choose from.

Great ambiance and we loved the decor and slogans. I bought coconut cookies and honestly that was the best cookie I have had for a long time.

My friend bought some butter chicken, I just ate and didn't need anything.however the washroom was clean, the staff was very friendly and apparently the food is good as well! Next time I'm hungry and in the area, I'll be trying this place out.

Full marks for location and interior decoration. Ordered for butter chicken with Naan, Chana masala with rice and Dhal with naan and 3 Chai. It costed CAD$70. I feel that over all I did not get value for money.

Legitimately the best chai I have had my entire life. I make a point to drive into the city so I stock up on the concentrate.

The food, drinks and dessert are great.however, I don't see why they can't make the vegan butter chicken option into a wrap. Yall should seriously start doing this. Please consider the feedback. Love- vegan/vegetarians everywhere.

Delicious iced chai with oat milk. Baristas answered all of our questions in detail and with a smile! Definitely a gem. Rooibos chai looked amazing too.

Great cafe/chai bar. Have only visited this one a few times but they never let us down. I am not a fancy coffee guy - I like my medium roast. I like the additional options (soy and almond beverage) to add to my coffee. Tons of vegan and vegetarian options which is a huge plus. 5-stars. Will definitely be back.

Has always been a go to for study sessions because of the atmosphere and music! Their butter chicken is one of my go to take out meals. I think their drinks are overpriced (even the tea!), but still nice to have once in a blue moon.

If I could only choose 1 thing to eat for the rest of my life it would be samosas from remedy, if I could choose 2 things it would be samosa and hummus from remedy. Fantastic! This place is an Edmonton staple, if you haven’t been here get to it ASAP!

This is a great remedy location. Parking is easy and there is always room to sit unlike some of the other remedy locations in Edmonton. The food and drinks were great and the service was quick. The cafe was very clean and the staff was doing everything they could do to clean tables when people were leaving.

Omg, their vegan butter chicken. I've been trying to replicate it ever since (dare I say better than the meat version?). This place is great and tasty and I'd recommend.

Great staff but subdued atmosphere due to Covid. Clientele lacked energy but staff had tons if you just talked to them. A mainstay in the community for years.

Very nice place to grab a bite or a warm drink. If you are tired of you bland tea or milky coffee, this is the place to go to spice things up.

The best grilled cheese I've ever had! I also love their chana masala wraps and the tamarind sauce that comes with their samosas is delicious.

Honestly, I love coming here to this location to get my studying done. However, there is one barista that has brown hair with blonde highlights that has been treating me quite rudely. I usually like getting a beer, but I always have to ask what the selection is because the taps change.

The first time I came here and asked, she listed them - and I asked if they had any IPA’s. She responded rudely by saying, “I have NO idea what that means, I don’t even drink beer. ” I know it’s a cafe, but perhaps train your employees on what is available on tap?

The second time she has taken my order, she was short with me and gave me attitude yet again. No sense of friendly service at ALL.

I will continue to come here for the atmosphere, but the customer service from this particular barista is unacceptable. She made me uncomfortable and made me feel unwelcome. This is very disappointing as it happens EVERY time I am here.

The samosas and London Fogs are great here. I recommend sitting by the windows so you can people watch the entire street and cafe at once

Delicious tea with many different kind of taste. Little expensive though but this is the only place in Edmonton where you get good tea. Outstanding sitting arrangement.
Try tika rap too but very disappointed even I through that out. Oh sorry that was Tandoori chicken rap not tika.

Awful experience! The Guy who's serving the drink touching the mug where the mouth goes n touching the money.he doesn't wash his hands!
No common sense! I didn't drink my tea coz his hand was all the cup after touching money etc!

A fantastic selection of teas including my fave, Jasmine pearls. Comfy chairs by the window are great for people watching.

Great environment to spend time catching up with friends or just to relax by yourself with a cup of chai. Great menu options available as well. Only limited halal options available however.

Ordered a chai and butter chicken wrap to go. The chai was made great. The wrap came out on a platter and was sent back to be packaged up. This took quite a few more minutes for some reason. When I opened my food later at work, I was disappointed to find it was not butter chicken, but some other flavour. The food was still good though.

Remedy is primarily a University hangout where students can read, use their laptops drink Chai and hang out alone or with friends. It attracts other customers who like the casual atmosphere and fare. Its well know for vegan, vegetarian as well as meat dishes such as butter chicken etc. Its nice and sunny by day but cool by the windows as the sun goes down. It has a great selection of tea along one wall. You can find most teas there and then some. It looks a little beat up somehow the chairs and so on and the bathrooms are for the hardy not for the haughty. The west end location is smaller and cosier. It will be intersting to see what their new location on Whyte is like. It might be a little more upscale, new building and all. Maybe even some new menu items.

Love the atmosphere at remedy, I've been going there for about 3 years now but from the past year I feel the food quality has dropped a bit, hope it improves.

Excellent light-fare meals with fantastic drinks. Nice casual environment that's great for a day date. There are usually a lot of older students and profs in due to its proximity to the U of A but noise levels are typically quite low.

Comfy spot to go study. Sometime difficult to find a good place to sit though, as the place is usually busy. Tasty desserts, and good food! The beverage selection may seem overwhelming, but the staff are quite helpful in recommending something you might like!
I ordered the key lime pie and a chai rooibos tea, super delicious.

The food and drinks are awesome. Great place to hang out with friends if your looking for something simple.it can be pretty busy in there so be prepared to wait a bit, it's worth it.

Their samosas are really great, and the cheese cakes are a must-have. It's a beautiful, relaxing store and the employees are very friendly.

I came here with my buddy and his mom and we had samosa's and it was absolutely delicious, i will definitely be back for coffee and a good groovy space to groove in

As much as I love the food items on the menu, but the service is the poorest and the most demeaning in a new location café opened on Whyte Ave. One would think that a new café on the block would try to strike all the right cords to ensure they have new customers visiting often. To my surprise, that's not the case - people behind the counter care-less of what's put out on the counter for customers orders.

My friend and I visited the café on its opening day and ordered two chais' - one regular and one ginger chai. The guy with tattooed hands puts out the chai on the counter AND, since they lack the common sense of labelling clients beverages either by person's name or beverage name; I asked him which ones is ginger and regular. He tells me "taste both and find out which one is ginger".

It's ridiculous and stupid to say something like that. There are allergies and people's health and hygiene and privacy to consider. He wanted me to sip my (male) friend's cup of tea and find out which one is ginger. I will be surprised if this guy still has his job even after this review.

HOPE THE OWNERS KNOW THAT THEY HAVE TO INVEST IN HAVING THE RIGHT KIND OF PEOPLE WITH COURTEOUS ATTITUDE TO WORK - Only then will your business thrive in a bustling area as Whyte Ave.

I hope necessary action is taken to make your folks in the store understand about taking their job seriously, SPECIALLY CUSTOMER SERVICE POSITIONS.

It was my first time at Remedy and I can say it wont be the last time. The food was amazing and bursting with flavour! I got the Butter chicken and Shamira chai while my sister got the butter chicken wrap. Worth every cent

Busy place but it always feels calming somehow. Good is delicious and the drinks are great too. Always enjoy reading the bathroom graffiti as well

My friend ordered a vegan dish here and they gave her chicken. Not going anymore if the staff isn't more aware of dietary restrictions.

Best chai latte ever! They have ruined other chai tea because no other place can compare. Highly recommend! Also great gluten free menu.

Nothing is really good in this place and I was once served rotten cookies in their Whyte Ave location which was beyond awful. Just get in here if it's cold and you need a break from it. Otherwise try the Transcend coffeeshop right in front of Remedy.

Unbeatable selection of food and drinks. Warm, inviting atmosphere. Plenty of interesting people and most weren't head-down in their laptops. A rare gem in the otherwise bland quarry of same-same "artisanal" coffee shops.

Chai latte is amazing and so are the desserts. The food, however, is not authentic and is disappointing.

I love remedy’s food but the establishment is always FREEZING. I’ve needed to leave a few times halfway through my dinner because I’m so cold and I usually run hot. The staff also always looks overworked and the prices keep getting jacked up but the quality doesn’t change? Remedy is definitely becoming something it never has been.

Chai tea is not my style, it makes me feel headache.but the butter chicken is pretty good. Maybe i have a different taste.

Cozy yet trendy. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. It's a little pricey, but worth it. It's a nice place to hang out and study.

I just had the BEST chai tea in my life! I ordered the Kashmiri and was blown away by how smooth is was. The think layer of foam and floral tons were mind blowing. If you like your chai’s on the slightly sweeter side, this one is for you. The piece of red velvet cake we shared was also delicious. It’s really nice to see this kind of local business have such great quality food. I was visiting Edmonton and definitely had my reservations when we walked in.but don’t let the appearance fool you. I can only imagine how hard it is to complete in the coffee shop scene against bigger companies.

TL: DR -> A female staff who seems to work there VERY often is ALWAYS extremely RUDE. Either acts like she owns the place or hates being there. Makes you feel uncomfortable to even order.

I really do love Remedy and most of the people who work there, and the owner, so it's unfortunate that because of a staff, I really don't think I'll be going back to Remedy much again (at least not the one on 109 ST). You'll probably bump into her 8/10 times you visit. She usually makes the drinks but occasionally she does work the till, which is when it becomes an issue. From what I've noticed, she doesn't seem particularly nice to her own colleagues either. She is very rude to customers and acts like she's way better than literally everyone else. One time I'd gone, I'd purchased a mug the night before and hadn't noticed there was a crack starting on one end of the handle so I brought it back the NEXT MORNING. I wasn't asking for a refund. All I wanted was an exchange. Without even really looking at it she told me it wasn't a crack, that they were all made like that (which I know for a fact they're not because I'd seen the other mugs when I was there the night before) and that I was wrong. Everyone understands what cracks are so I'm not sure why she'd bother lying. After a while of trying to reason with her, she finally gives in. She goes to grab me a different one. And oh what a shocker, that one didn't have a crack on its handle even though she said all of them had it. & On another occasion, she had taken my order with a stone cold face without even a quick hello.wasn't a huge deal. I then gave $10.25 for a vanilla chai and she she gave me $5 back as change. I blanked out for half a sec and hesitated as I took the $5. But apparently that was enough for her to snap at me and say "you get $5 change, that's it" along with glare. She could've just ignored my brief hesitation or asked if something was the matter, but no.
