Remedy Cafe

Had a chai craving, stopped at Remedy Cafe on 124th. We ordered dirty chai and vanilla chai and they were amazing. Very delicious, totally satisfied my chai craving. 10/10 would go here for chai again. Also, it's mostly pay-to-park around here so be prepared. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Vibe is great, very chill place.

Raising your already extremely high prices is ridiculous.it sucks being priced out of one of the only places that's accommodating for students.

Very small cafe, there was no where to sit when we first got there we had to wait for about 20 min for people to leave.
They really also need to update the design it does not look like a “cafe” at all, everything looked dirty and old including the paint on the walls. Their chai was very good but I’d be embarrassed to bring someone here, it’s not aesthetically pleasing at all, it looks like a basement.

Was out for a walk last night and thought id stop in for a hot tea. I was asked to show proof of vaccination, no problem.then she asks for my ID. I didn't have it on me because we where out on a walk. She then asked for a credit card with my name on it. I only had Apple Pay, which didn't show my name. I mentioned we wanted it to go so she then told me she would let it slide for this time only.huge turn off.stick to the rules or allow people to come in for take out.do you also ask skip drivers waiting for orders to show proof of their vaccine passport? I will never be retuning. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE to say the VERY least. WOW

A Hipsters place that is well worth a visit. At some places, people like me might complain about high prices for hot drinks but not here. These guys have a huge selection of artisanal teas and coffees that are all delicately crafted and served with care. Yes, it can cost a lot of money for a cup of hot water but, once you've tried it I think you'll agree that it's worth every cent.

Food is good. Service is the worst I have ever seen. Staff don’t know what they are doing. No communication. I was told by Nicole that I would get a Punjabi style for 50% off, I got two wraps so it’s $1 off. When I arrived, the staff didnt give me my discount and the front door door was frustrated like she’s done with me. And she even said “we couldn’t get a hold of Nicole and we don’t know whatever you said was true, we need to make sure that with Nicole. “ I was like…. Okay so you really think I would lie about that one dollar? It’s a complete joke.
So after that they gave me my holy moly one dollar discount. I called back because they gave me the wrong wrapz yeappppp after this many miscommunications. The girl who picked up the phone said “sorry, what would you like me to do I can’t really do anything at this moment. ” I’m amazed because it seems like everyone wants their customers to do the job for them.
So I finally talked to Nicole, she was kind enough to give me a free IOU because they made me the wrong wrap. Nicole confirms with me that I would get a free wrap, anyone can help me, just give my name and I’ll get a free wrap for their mistake.
Okay fastworward to two days after, I called and the staff called summer, said she couldn’t Honor the IOU Cos she doesn’t know what that is and there no note or anything. I would have to buy it.
She literally didn’t even think how to solve the problem and I had to teach her how to do her job, tell her to call the manager, call the owner and figure out what that is.
Please get your staff trained and they need to improvise and think on their feet when problems come up. This is extremely frustrating. There’s always room for improvement. You can do better than this.

You there is a lot to say about the people in a business.but in my opinion if I come in and every time I come the employees say hi that's a big deal in this day in age! Thanks for the great service.

Very afraid of covid and too anxious to come inside with my anxiety and the girl treated me poorly for wanting to be served outside. Like it was a chore. If she's working next time I do a pickup order I'll leave the food there for her to deal with.

I used to be a regular here until they started paying someone to sit at the door and ask for vax proof upon entry. For dine in, obviously you have to. But for takeout also? What a joke.why would you guys go above and beyond the already strict regulations.

I've been coming here for years! Good food, tons of vegetarian and vegan options. The staff have always been friendly.

I love this place, the coffee and tea selection is amazing. Coconut fog can't be beat. I also love coming here to study and do homework. This is my favorite remedy location but they're all pretty good

Really good! Relaxing atmosphere and really friendly staff. Food was delicious and the chai was wonderful as expected. I had the Kashmir Chai and the dahl with naan. Both were very good but the chai was fantastic. Little pricey for me. Would recommend.

Remedy is always gorgeous, with tasty food. But man the prices. I get inflation is real and I go to remedy to support local. But a drink and a puff wheat Square shouldn't be $9.it's just cringe.

I had one of the best coconut chai lattes I have ever had and the two other people I was with agreed their drinks were amazing. The one barista working did an amazing job keeping up with a lineup that at some points waa out the door. I would add that it would have been nice to have had a second barista on with him because he pretty much didn't stop the entire time we were there.

Worst customer service by servers if you are a person of color, not just once but experienced it 3 times now.

Great service. Love the patio. The samosa are my favorite and the butter chicken is great! Lots of vegan options and alternative milks. Good prices.

Absolutely phenomenal! The butter chicken wrap, the sweet and salty cake was the most amazing thing ever and the iced London fog was SO GOOD!

Good way to spend an evening drinking chai and catching up. Their chai is refreshing and if you are getting their to-stay mug, it's huge and you in you can sip the tea for a long long time! We say outside on the patio enjoying the evening sun. Perfect place to go for a walk too. Beautiful neighborhood with mature trees and gorgeous homes.

Went to this remedy, most things on the menu were crossed off. My friend and I ordered butter chicken, samosas, naan and rice. Food came out, wrapped in tin foil, and no plates or utensils given and we were gonna eat in the restaurant. My friend took one look at the samosa and was disgusted. It was flat, doughy and looked grilled instead of fried, fluffy and crispy. The nan bread was soggy, doughy and no butter. Not appetizing at all. We asked for our money back. The cashier person was very kind.

Always a lovely experience here, very kind staff and the food & drinks are sooo worth the wait. I personally recommend the lamb curry (spicy) with a ginger chai latte:)

Had a regular chai and the swiss and egg bagel. I also love their vegan butter chicken! Very yummy. Nice place to sit down for awhile.

This location is well-lit and clean, with enough space to seat 2-4 people per table. The packaged and bulk teas on display on the main wall are not for weighing and bulk purchase; I was told to contact their main location on 109 to request the manufacturer send a package of bulk tea to me instead. They have the standard chai lattes and London fog tea latte with rainbow colored picnic table seating nearby. Fairly good place to stop and chat when the main street traffic isn't busy, so warm and breezy afternoons spent here would likely be ideal—rather than chilled evenings. The staff here followed instructions fairly well and were able to substitute for a different milk: standard 2% for sweetened soy. Pricing is closer to standard (average), compared to other cafes in and around downtown, for the above mentioned beverages.

Love my pour over dark and worth the wait. Wraps are amazing as well as coconut meal. Highly recommended.

They recently 2016/11 changed the breading for the wraps.wow what a difference. It tastes so much better and smooth

The staff always provides the ingredient that is too often missing in the service industry which is EXCELLENT customer service! Love this place.

I LOVE Remedy but this location is very hit or miss.which is really disappointing considering I live so close. I find in the morning the Chai lattes aren’t made well, as if there’s too much milk to chai ratio. I haven’t had an issue with the afternoon/evening though. One of the guys that usually works in the morning at this location always messes up my order and I honestly don’t think it’s that hard to understand? One time I ordered an unsweetened chai and he made me an iced chai.

I love Kashmere Chai. This time the lady gave me extra rose petals to bring home to have my Chai at home but at home my Chai does not taste the same.

I went with my old pastor and a close mentor and friend. Our drinks were delicious and the laughs are always plenty. The staff told me about Calgary comic Convention and gave so much info.

Not your average coffee shop. Remedy Cafe on Whyte features many different sitting areas to enjoy argumently the best coffee and treats in Edmonton.

Love that Remedy has more selection than a Starbucks or Second Cup.
Their menu has Indian eats and their hot beverage menu is more extensive. I prefer the Remedy cafes over the usual chains. It's a nice place to meet for coffee or, to hide out and get some work/studying done. This is my favorite meet up place if I am catching up with my gal pals.

Other than the fact that this cafe is almost ALWAYS super crowded, it's a great place to grab a coffee.

I'd go there again for sure.

I usually received good service at this location but I have to say, that the last couple times have been disappointing with poor excuses for why drinks are wrong and burnt food.

Came in and one of the staff members was braiding the others hair! And they did not wash their hands when they went to serve a customer. The coffee and food is solid.

Its a must try. I recommend sitting down and taking some time before you order a dish. They cater to all food lifestyles. Awesome value. Family owned. Just go.

Lovely! Went here with my boyfriend as we were passing by and had the Tandoori chicken, a Ginger Chai & a Coconut Fog - all of it was wonderful! Great atmosphere and wonderful aesthetic. The downsides? Parking is not easy to find, seating can be a little difficult sometimes as it can get busy, and it can be a little pricey. Other than that, it's a great place.

Great staff. Not to mention the best soft gingersnap cookies EVER EVER, egg and dairy free! London Fog was good too.

CELIACS BEWARE - despite lots of gluten free options on the menu do not get the rice option as the seasoning that they put in it MAY CONTAIN GLUTEN! Get the GF pita instead. I would give them 5 stars but I found out about the rice possibly containing gluten 3 years after I ate there.

Staff was so rude no one said anything to me and the kid that finally did sounded miserable. I ordered extra nann and that forgot it so I had to drive back. The layout is terrible and awkward.

Remedy is my favorite place to meet up with a friend and to work independently on a laptop. The food is awesome, loads of GF and vegan options and they serve the best chai in town. The 124st location is my favorite because you can typically find parking for free and it's near downtown.

This place has amazing chai lattes and butter chicken. Try the Kashmiri chai for something different. My only complaint is that they don't have coconut milk.

Love the food and drink here, service is usually pretty good but sometimes this and the quality of drinks made varies depending on who's serving. Definitely worth a visit though, especially if you have allergies, intolerances or food preferences. Tonnes of amazing vegan options, delicious gluten free cakes and the coconut dog is to die for. A lot of the food has a distinct Indian vibe which I love.

Great drinks and good environment for studying or tutoring. I recommend the kashmere chai. So good!

Food was pretty good although there wasn't much chicken in the butter chicken considering the price and the samosas were not very hot (temp) but flavours were good.

We had been coming to Remedy on Jasper for a couple of years and haven't been comfortable at all. The manager always stares at us. He creeped us out. The food was really expensive and there was nothing that I liked there except their cakes, even if that (most of the time they don't have the kind I love). We tried other coffee places and nothing. Then we tried Remedy Cafe on 124th and it was somewhat better but had a traumatic experience. First of all I sat on pee on the bus, missed my bus stop and had to walk fast to meet my friend (I couldn't stop thinking about the pee), plus the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional to my friend. I even complained on their website. They said they were going to get back to me. ITS BEEN A MONTH, really? ! WOW! I am so appalled at their lack of customer service. They lost a customer for life. You guys sucks. We will never come back and will make sure we tell the world to never come there again!

Food/Drinks: really good specialty coffees teas and chai. Food has a bit of Indian flare to it with lots of bold flavors and really good.

Service: staff are nice but don't really interact much with you. Also the system they have for getting you drinks is kinda dumb because you order, then you sit down, then while you're in a conversation you need to listen for your drink order to be called and you go pick it up. That's if you remembered what you ordered I usually don't. The thing is they gave us a number thing for our food and they brought the food to us but they couldn't do it for the drinks too.

Atmosphere: very chill and relaxed. Very hip, open, and a great place to study, visit or chill and read a book.

Great environment, however customer service was not up to par. I had requested my hot drinks to be served in mugs.which i don't think is much to ask. Both baristas expressed hesitation in meeting my request, why? Because "we don't want to do dishes". Following an exchange of awkward looks, and noticing how clearly dissatisfied I was, the barista complied with my request but not before muttering under her breath ". Its a big deal to him". Had I known I was going to get childish customer service, I wouldn't have tipped.
