Right in the heart of Whyte Ave. The prices are reasonable, the staff are always going out of there way to make sure that Rentex lives up to its stellar reputation for excellence. Thanks Rob and Tara, not to mention the support and maintenance staff. It's not just a place to be, it's the place to be.

They'll do anything to take your money and keep it, never have I ever rented from somewhere so unprofessional and dirty. Takes weeks or even months to get something done as buildings are rarely properly taken care of. Non smoking buildings are consistently smoked in by management, among countless other things, such as staff asking if they can forge signatures, and sending unqualified staff for walkthroughs.

We had a great experience here. Before we even moved in they were working hard to clean up the apartment we wanted, which wasn't supposed to be available for another month. Maintenance was quick to get to anything we needed fixed, or provide a solution for the problem (we had our heating break during a very cold week, so they offered to cover the increase in our electrical bill to run electric heaters).

When we found out we would have to move out early, we assumed that we would have to find a replacement on our own, but then they offered to show our place to others looking to rent with them to help us find someone to take it.

I won't say they're the newest or cleanest buildings, but they're well enough maintained to feel comfortable in. Thanks to Shauna, the maintenance guys, and the rest of the team for the great experience!

Great staff and very honest/understanding. Their rental agreement is strict but clear, and their rentals are in some truly fantastic locations. Would recommend!

I had nothing but good experiences with Rentex over the two years that I rented an apartment from them. Any questions or concerns that I had were dealt with professionally and in a timely matter. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality, budget friendly place to live!

I have lived with rentex for going on 5 years now I moved here from out of province and with just a phone call to the company I had a place to live in no time. The staff is friendly knowledgeable hilarious to be around and very responsive to any issues or complaints. The maintenance staff is quick and very helpful with whatever questions you may have or anytime something needs to get fixed they are there with smiles on there faces. They work hard to get the job done no matter the time or day. The office staff is amazing, they are super friendly they go above and beyond to accommodate and to do everything they possibly can to help out I've seen tenants come in and belittle them yell and scream and they just keep their cool. The office staff is always so busy with so much to do but they do it with smiles on their faces with humorous jokes on the side. The owners of the company are super friendly and I have found that as long as I communicate via email or a phone call in to the office there isn't an issue that hasn't been able to be resolved. I must say it is sad to read these negative comments because I have been in the office many times and seen firsthand what the employees have to deal with. I think that everybody has to remember that the staff are people too. Everytime me or my children see rentex staff member it makes our day they always make my children smile and are always very helpful to anyone around them. If I could give this place more than five stars I would I plan on renting with them for many many years to come I highly recommend this place to anybody and I just want to say good job rentex keep it up.

We lived with Rentex for 6 months as we had just moved to the city. We were helped by Shauna who was amazing to work with. We did a virtal tour during the panadamic and moved in soon after as she had walked us through all the steps. Shauna was amazing to work with, friendly and always happy to help with any issues we had. For Shauna I would have given a five star review but after we had moved in we had some minor issues with the building where things needed worked on within the first week we moved in. And some issues were ongoing in the building which needed to be fixed but other than that we were happy with our place as it was a new experience moving into the province. The staff at rentex were also very nice when we walked into their office. We were content with our place and really happy working with Shauna but unfortunatly made the decision to move to be closer to downtown. Thank You Shauna for all your help as you were amazing and very helpful.

I lived in my rentex apartment for just under 2 years. It was the most positive experience I’ve ever had as a renter. The maintenance team are incredible and always made me feel like my voice was heard if I ever had any issues (which I rarely did). One time my car wouldn’t start in the dead of winter and Robb (the head of maintenance) helped me boost my car with no questions asked. Robb was very professional and very kind, one of the easiest going people I’ve had the privilege of meeting. If I needed the maintenance team they were at my apartment within a matter of minutes, literally. It was such a breath of fresh air, as I’ve never had such good service before! As for the front of house team, they were always so nice to have a conversation with and always very helpful. Simon K is one of the nicest people I’ve ever had to talk to via the phone, super understanding and very easy going. Now, Shauna, if you decide to rent a rentex home you are in luck. Shauna is one of the main reasons why my rentex experience was so positive. She goes above and beyond to make sure all the tenants are content and happy. When I was looking for an apartment 2 years ago she showed me places that I didn’t even know were listed. She’s hard working, always there if I needed her and just a joy to be around, if there was a problem, she would fix it. Rentex is very lucky to have her as an employee. They really made me feel like family there and I will never ever say anything bad about them because they are amazing! I’m going to miss you guys! Thank you so much for all the hard work and service you guys do!

Lived in one of their properties for 9 months. Loved the location and the support that was provided by Shauna and other staff whenever I had any issues. The building I was in was older and did have a few minor issues (shared thermostat for everyone, cracked walls from the building settling, etc.) but no major concerns.

Very nice and professional staff would highly recommend if you're looking for a place near White Avenue. They were always friendly and quick to respond.

I have been renting with Rentex for the past year, and have had little issues with anything. Shauna was always amazing at returning emails or phone calls and making sure all our needs were met regarding the suite. Maintenance requests were also always done in a timely matter and all issues taken care of. When I had first moved in, the suite I was in had terrible tenants above me, and Shauna made sure to quickly find me a new place where I would be happy and be able to focus on my schoolwork. Thank you for your attentiveness and care.

I was hoping to stay for longer but now they wont renew our lease. No real explanation we have had so many different stories told to use are to loud (my boyfriend has a medical condition at night he sometimes shouts out in his sleep, he bothers our neighbors for smokes. I'm eight months pregnant and due next month, it's hard to find a place to live as I'm pregnant. Don't waste your time with them the price is good but it seems like they don't give you a chance.

I lived in their unit for a year (9130 82 Ave). Horrible horrible experience with the management and the unit.the lady who talked us to a 1 year lease became very rude few days after we signed the lease and moved in. The building was very noisy because of traffic in 82 Ave. Couldn't sleep properly for a year and it affected my performance at university. We moved to a new place, but I felt I should share this experience so others know what they get into. Wished I could see such a review before we rented a unit from them (no wonder if they reply they looked up and no one with this name exists.you better be responsible and improve the service and maintainace for the tenants)!

Rentex is amazing, we've been living at one of the Rentex's Apartments for almost 2 years, we really love this place, we have a great maintenance manager, Rob, who is always there to fix and help when needed, and an amazing tenant manager, Shauna! Who always makes sure that we don't have any problem with our apartment, she is so kind very responsible and kind person and also Simon in the office who is always so kind and positive and knows how to keep tenants happy.we are really happy with this place and grateful for finding Rentex.

Rentex did a great job finding us a place in Edmonton while we were living in Vancouver. They took our requests very seriously and were very helpful getting us set up. The devil works hard but Shauna works harder.

These guys game me somewhere to call home when I didnt have one they are extremely supportive with the LGBT community and there SOOOO NICE thank you for giving me home and thanks for being a "family towards me

My fiance and I have lived in a rentex building for a little over a year now and we were surprised to read all these negative reviews. Full disclosure I came to Rentex with a number of black spots on my credit report from a bad prior relationship and poor choices in my youth. Shawna was more than understanding and treated me with what I felt was a great deal of respect and understanding throughout the process of viewing our suite and making the application. The only time I have seen Shawna appear less than friendly is when she came to our building to deal with a difficult tenant so I am not sure where all these negative things im reading about her are coming from.

In regards to the claims that the buildings are filthy and/or falling apart I can assure prospective tenants those are far from true as well. Yes the buildings are older but things are still solid and the only filth I have seen is from inconsiderate tenants or their guests leaving unwanted mail by the boxes or the occasional slurpee cup or food wrapper. Admittedly we weren't happy with the turn around time for repairs when we first moved in but we feel they have made great strides to improve in that area. When a pipe in our kitchen sink sprung a leak they were here the very next day. When my key got stuck in the back door they had somebody on their way by the time I got off the phone.

I also think the price of the rent is great when you consider the location. There are so many things to do on and around Whyte that we never have an issue finding something to do on the weekends. We looked at buildings through Boardwalk rentals and Mainstreet that were downtown and I feel the need to point out your going to pay MORE to rent there and as most Edmontonians know the downtown core is riddled with construction right now and not always the safest place to be.

If your struggling to find affordable housing in a decent area of the city I really recommend you give them a call and get to know them and what they offer for yourself. There are so many different buildings and suite sizes there is something for everybody no matter your situation.

Was always treated fairly by staff. Maintenance are efficient and always come quickly when called (not to mention they are pretty funny). When I had issues they went above and beyond to help me. Thanks Rentex!

As said in many other reviews shawna is terrible to even have a conversation with. Can't even speak with her about what's available to view. Very unprofesdional.

The support provided by Shauna at Rentex was nothing short of stellar. Our daughter moved to Edmonton and living above her apt was a nightmare neighbour. Shauna helped us find a better property spending all day with us. Tara followed up with sign in at New spit and sign out of old. Cannot say enough how we appreciate the people.

I've rented with Rentex for nearly three years now, and I strongly recommend them. My experience has been straight forward, friendly, and professional. The team I've worked with have all been excellent. The rent and damage deposit were both fair, and I had no issues with the property.

Have been a tenant for over 5 years now and I have had very few problems/issues and the few that I have had were dealt with and resolved to my satisfaction. The rent is cheap some places there ain't a DD. I would suggest this rental company to anyone and everyone YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!
