I had the most fantastic experience at Respect Eyecare! Steven and his team were absolutely wonderful. After being loyal to the same optometrist for 12 years, I decided to seek a second opinion on my prescription, and I'm so glad I did.

Steven quickly identified the issue, and his expertise put me at ease right away. I felt like I was in excellent hands throughout my visit. I've made the decision to switch to Respect Eyecare for all my future eye care needs.

Dr. Steve and his two team members Alyssa, and Teigst were exceptional! Dr. Steve was thorough, diligent, and caring during my initial appointment. He took his time and asked questions that helped identify problems I didn’t realize I had. His care for his patients and diagnosing skills are quite evident in how thorough he is! The clinic is in a lovely part of town (Inglewood) and is really modern and updated! There is a wide range of sunglasses to choose from, including ones that are hand-made!

Referred by a friend, I decided it was time to check them out. I was greeted with enthusiasm and sincerity. My appointment started on time and was very thorough. Dr. Hoang has a great sense of humour and was interested in my medical history, lifestyle, needs and concerns. He walked me through all the exam results and showed me incredible photos of my inner eye (this clinic has equipment I have never seen before.) Dr. Hoang performed the entire exam, which I found refreshing.

When we were done, the team helped me find the perfect frames. I was given several to try and supplied with honest opinions on each one. The products are high quality, with a variety of styles, but definitely leaning towards fun and funky.

My friend was right; they are great. I will be back!

Awesome service from the team! Highly recommend for anyone who doesn’t want to shop at large chain stores. They have a great selection of unique frames and they have super friendly & helpful staff.

I purchased new eyewear from Respect this past week. The selection of eyewear was impressive. There were 4 or 5 frames I could have easily purchased. The customer service was superior - always getting honest opinions on what looked best on me.

The total cost was about 1/4 less than other places I had been plus the selection of eyewear was better. Tri-focal transition lens with anti-glare were about $300 less than I had been quoted at other places. It took 8 business days for my new eyewear with lens to be ready.

Shopping for new glasses here was a pleasure. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and there is a large selection of unique frames. Booking in was easy and user-friendly, and the staff carved out time for a personalized shopping experience, respecting COVID protocols.

I had an amazing experience with Respect Eyecare! As a matter of fact, this was without a doubt the best optometrist visit I’ve ever had. Dr. Hoang was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. You can tell he has a genuine passion and love for all things eye care, and he entertained all my questions and curiosities. Alyssa was so easy to talk to and really went above and beyond with the quality of her customer care. Not to mention the business itself is so chic, modern, and perfectly organized, plus they have so many cool pairs of glasses available. I highly recommend supporting this local business and I truly haven’t shut up about my fantastic experience since I left the store!

Dr. Hoang and Alyssa were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I went for an eye exam and he went above and beyond, identifying a problem with my vision that other optometrists had never mentioned, and compared my old glasses to my new prescription so I could see the difference. He explained every little detail and was extremely pleasant the entire time.

I am very indecisive and spent a lot of time looking at different frames, I didn't end up buying any but I will be back to do so for sure. I felt no pressure and the staff were incredibly helpful in helping me pick. Alyssa is very knowledgeable in the store's catalog and made comparisons and suggestions to frames that they didn't have in stock when I went. It's clear she and Dr. Hoang know their catalog through and through and whatever you get will be the perfect fit for you.

The service I received from Dr Steven was amazing! He walked my through a thorough exam and explained everything along the way. I am now set up with new glasses and contact lenses and very happy with them. He also followed up with me to ensure they were working perfectly. I cannot recommend him enough.

At Respect Eyecare they treat you like a friend, not just another customer. They instantly made me feel the most comfortable throughout my whole experience, which I can't say about any other eye store I've been to. The atmosphere was cozy, they made trying on glasses fun, & the staff provided kind, honest opinions. They encouraged me to take my time deciding and I am in love with the frames & lenses I got from them! Their displays are super cute & they know their products well. Dr. Steve has a fresh and modern approach to eye care that is distinguishable from all the rest in Calgary. The service and information was fantastic. The staff were positive and upbeat; you could tell it was a work place that the staff enjoyed.

My two year and myself had our eyes examined and I thought it was going to be a difficult task for my two year old to get through the examination. However, Dr. Steve and staff were accommodating and made the examination extremely easy and enjoyable for my two year old and myself.

People are doing themselves a disservice if they do not go to and see Dr. Steve at Respect Eyecare. The eye exam was painless and quick and the staff had already pre-selected frames when my eye exam was completed so I could see what new frames were available.

I have been wearing glasses for 20+ years and this by far, has been my best experience. Other clinics felt like an assembly line as I moved from station to station for various examinations; whereas, Dr Hoang and staff are very knowledgeable and patient. Also, excellent selection of frames - trendy but not too eccentric. Very pleased with selection for smaller faces/small nose bridges. Would recommend if looking for a personal experience and unique frames.

I can't express how drastic of a contrast my experience with Respect was compared to the 10+ stores I visited beforehand trying to find a decent pair of sunglasses. This is by far the best experience I have ever had at an eye exam. I felt so welcome from the second I walked in the door. Dr. Hoang came out to introduce himself to me while I finished up my paperwork and the girls got everything ready for the exam. They were so helpful in helping me find the right fit and frame for my face and work within my budget, but put zero pressure on me to buy. They had cookies and tea, and the decor is honestly nicer than my condo. The vibe in there is fantastic.
Dr. Hoang was amazing throughout the exam. He talked me through exactly what he was doing at every step, and I didn't feel rushed at all. It is definitely the most in depth eye exam I have ever had, and I left feeling like I understood more about my own eyes than I ever have before! Seriously the best and everyone should go see him.

I have never enjoyed having eye exams done, but this clinic turned it into a really pleasant, and even fun experience! Dr Hoang is very kind and professional, and was clear and patient with explaining his findings during the appointment. I also really appreciated that they have a much gentler alternative to the air puff eye test!

As for the eyewear part of the shop, it's a chic setup with a true Inglewood vibe. Trendy collections that will fit almost any kind of look, and the staff were super helpful! They spent a long time with me to find just the right set of frames that would complement my face.

Would highly recommend checking this place out for one's eyecare needs. I'll 100% be coming back for my next pair.

When we took our very first steps into Respect Eyecare in Inglewood, Calgary, my wife and I knew this was the place we would have our eyes checked and get our new glasses.

From the warm-welcoming and incredibly friendly staff to the charmingly decorated store and the thorough and knowledgeable Dr. Steven Hoang, we had the best shopping experience ever! But more importantly, we were treated with respect and any question we had was answered right there on the spot. Unlike some other eye doctors we saw over the years who treated us as numbers, Dr. Hoang was interested in our history and wanted to get a better understanding of our situation and get to know us as people. After the exams, he took the time to explain the results to us and gave us a lot of extra information I had never heard of before.

Normally, I have only a couple of suitable choices for my face type, but they had numerous styles to choose from, and they happily helped me through the process of choosing the appropriate glasses, which made the whole experience easy and fun. They kindly offered to wash my old pair of sunglasses at no extra charge, while I had my exam done.

At Respect Eyecare, they live up to their name, and I certainly recommend that everyone should see for themselves what real service is about. Thanks to all the staff at this amazing shop, and we will soon be back for all our eye care needs!
