Restaurant Pacini Calgary South

Where to start. This was a company function and we were given a set selection of food as usual. We ordered at 8: 15 and by 9: 10 we were offered soups she had forgotten to offer. She said we could have carrot soup. So we choose that it came out as mistorni soup. We got our food at around 9: 45. The food was below average and bland. I wouldn't recommend.

To start off we went out yesterday with my family, we were celebrating a special occasion, the hostess was not only very friendly but also so attentive to our needs when the server was occupied. Our server Samir, was very polite and gave excellent recommendations for our food. As well everyone enjoyed their dinner. The atmosphere and food was 10/10, and Samir, and the host, Martina, made our experience even better.

We went for dinner spur of the moment and had a wonderful time and food was great.

Javiera was our server and we both commented what fantastic service she gave. Very friendly, attentive, and just overall great time.

Lots of seating. Service was a little slow but that could be because we went during a weekday evening. Food was great. Make sure you check out the diy bread bar.

Cold beer, free reign of the tv and delicious food. Can't go wrong. Get the crusted cod on linguine.

Service was good, food is terrible. Had the worst, most over microwaved meatballs of my life.

Food and drinks were really good, I was there with a group and everyone seemed to like the meal. The one thing that wasn't as great was the service. The waiting was quite long for nearly every aspect, from drinks to ordering to the check coming at the end. In the defense of the server it did look like they maybe understaffed

I have been to this location many times because the food is generously portioned, the kids always enjoy the bread bar and the service is fantastic. We were disappointed to learn that kids no longer eat free on Saturdays but that didn't stop us from celebrating our twin daughters' 10th birthday here. Javiera was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure the girls birthday was a memorable one. Thank you so much for the great service.

We had our Staff Easter Dinner at Pacini and everything was amazing. The servers were attentive, the food was phenomenal, and the pricing was fair. Everyone had a great time!

I ordered the mushroom with truffle oil pizza and the linguini carbonara. I was so disappointed. Could not taste any truffle whatsoever and the carbonara was a cream sauce not a carbonara, there was no egg on it at all. Price point would have been okay had the flavours been there.

Food was hot when it arrived and packed well.

Food is alright, appears to be a fancier restaurant than it is. They have a toast bar which is fun though the bread was a bit stale. It was attached to our hotel in Calgary so it was convenient but the food was meh

Ordered over the phone, clarified my meal has to be gluten free and dairy free. Went to pick up order, paid for order then asked again if my meal was gluten free, she said it wasn't. So then the manager came over and made mine and my husband's meals fresh. They substituted my potatoes with sautéed veggies which I agreed to. When we opened the orders we found there was no toast in my husband's order and no gluten free toast in mine. The eggs in my husbands order were very raw. My veggies had lots of seasoning making it taste more like a stir fry which tasted good but not what I wanted for breakfast. We ended up just eating our leftover takeout from yesterday

I had an excellent Birthday dinner with Ashid we had an excellent service from Sid he did a great job he is a chef and is very knowledgeable told us many stories about Indian

First time there last evening.well prepared excellent food, newly furnished clean and comfortable dining area, attentive and friendly service. Very impressed, we will be returning.

Ate on a Monday for lunch and were the only dining party.   Yet the restaurant had numerous tables that had not been cleaned up from their breakfast service. The bread bar had two types of bread missing and no attempt was made to restock it.  On a positive note the server was very friendly and did offer some suggestions.   I had the spaghetti and meat balls and my wife the pizza lunch plate.   We both found the spaghetti dish was not hot but rather luke warm but the meatballs on the other hand were slightly over cooked and tough.

Service was unbelievable. Pushy rude direct and ZERO patience from our server and hostess once finally confronted after overhearing them talking smack about a table who walked out on them they shook their head and walked away during the conversation. Had two tables walk out because of bad service and food! Definitely avoid this place.

Amazing experience. The Manager was very helpful and suggested us best vegetarian food.one of the best restaurant in Calgary in regards with food, service and ambience. Many customers around us were appreciating their team work and efforts.will definitely come back.

A serious focus on the customer. Good food and well trained staff. I'm hard to please and they do it well here. Go and check it out.

We went here for supper and will not ever come back! Our food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered the veal scallopini, it came with some brown colored gravy like substance with some rotten raw bacon like strips in it. You could taste the spoiled meat even through the packaged gravy substance. The "fries" were so soggy and greasey i couldn't eat them. Sent it back and left.

I ate here while visiting Calgary a few months ago. The food was really good and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Great place to eat if you're staying at Holiday Inn - very conveniently placed in the lobby. I loved the arancini!

Disgusting place! Hair on pizza, no COVID vaccine check upon arrival, they even have a toast your own bread section open where people use the same butter utensils and grill over and over, not wearing their masks, spreading all sorts of bacteria. Service was slow and inaccurate, ordered the meatball appetizer and received 5 boiled meatballs on a bowl, no sauce no garnish. Chicken parmigiana was dry and small, pasta tasted like it had came from a can. Manager asked how I can do it better? I would say, shut this place down, get proper chefs in the kitchen, clean it and follow COVID protocols and review your prices while you are at it. He really should’ve comp’d all food.
Avoid this place if you can.

Worst itialian I have ever tried. Started with they had run out of proscuto (however they offered to find some scraps to pull together) we refused. When food arrived the carbonara came with raw egg on top. The rest of the food was bad pasta was dried not fresh. Tomato sauce was watery and tasted of canned tomatoes. The fettuccine Alfredo was bland and only tasted of green onion.

Azid has to learn about customer service. He was leaning by the bar not greeting us, was all over with his hands over the young waitresses and playing macho, was loudly discussing company internal business and belittling the younger staff and thinks he is a manager, This rude and unprofessional behaviour has no place in a restaurant which wants to be top notch. Children were present and it was only a worthwhile visit because our waitress Paris was pleasant, funny and professional. Please get rid of this clown!

Staff were extremely friendly and professional - first class service. The restaurant was quite quiet when we went but it was 8: 00 on a very cold night. Decor was well done, although the music seemed a bit odd at times. The food was fairly good but was the reason for my 4 star rating rather than 5. It just didn't seem quite as freshly prepared as I would have hoped. The bread bar was a neat feature. Would return.

I loved a lot of things about this place; however, not the most fresh food!
The “toast and butter your own” station was really fun. The food portions are big. Loved that the water is free, some Italian restaurants charge an arm and a leg for sparkling water! The one complaint I have is that the food was cold, both of ours. I understand that we went later at night but it was basically re-heated food in the microwave - colder on top and warmer on the bottom, but definitely not made to order. For a restaurant serving Italian food, I’d expect higher food quality and freshness.
Our server was so lovely, she went over and beyond for us and really made the visit enjoyable. Wish I knew her name to include here!

Food was good. Hot and fresh…and bonus of getting my age as a discount for my birthday. It did seem as though they were a tad short staffed, perhaps due to Covid

Food was delicious! Service was fantastic. The whole family enjoyed the evening, especially making our own garlic bread. The pasta was probably the best I have had in Calgary.

Food was great the server was excellent she was very nice and helpful and she was quick and she was also always coming to check if I was good which is a nice change from other restaurants

Lovely ambience. We hosted a group party and all guests enjoyed the food. The service was high quality with two dedicated servers. Will certainly recommend a visit.

The restaurant is very trendy and to he staff is friendly. The menu is a little limited for large groups but you should be able to find something.

Great Restaurant! Great family environment, good food. Great attentive service. They have a great bread bar that the kids loved. Kids meals are very complete with drink, soup or salad entree, dessert and bread bar included. The Parmeggiana fries are fresh and very tasty. A great coffee at the end. Would definitely recommend.

Mediocre food and service. They charge as if they're providing something decent but it's not. I tried a pizza which was okay but overpriced. Then on another visit I tried a meal with chicken and pasta and was really disappointed. I should have gone elsewhere.

We visited the Calgary South location this evening with my family, after hearing excellent reviews of the NE location. The staff were very friendly, but the food quality for price was not great. Most of the food ordered was cold when it arrived, including a carafe of coffee. When I told the staff the majority of my meal was cold, they did take 25% off my meal, but still the price tag was around $19. For $19, I have had much better meals in Calgary. Will not be going back to this restaurant.

I went there for a birthday dinner last night with a party of 8. It was my first time there and I was really impressed with the look and feel of the restaurant. The waiter was very nice and funny (young Italian man - didn’t get his name). We tried 4 different appetizers, arancini, calamari, spinach dip, and mozzarella pomodoro. The spinach dip was standard, but came with very hard bread that I wasn’t a big fan of. The arancini, calamari, and mozzarella pomodoro were amazing. I definitely recommend those three. For an entree I got a half pizza and half gnocchi - they were pretty good and the waiter came around with tons of Parmesan cheese to add to everyone’s dish (he loaded them up). The bread grilling station was a very neat add on with a few different butter choices and bread choice - it was delicious. We didn’t get to try and desserts because we were all stuffed but they looked very good. Overall a great restaurant with a great atmosphere. The prices are a little higher than normal but I’m definitely coming back.

Delicious food and very friendly waiters! Although our food took 1 hour to arrive we understood why as there was 2 larger parties consisting of around 12-14 people each. Would highly recommend especially if you want some Italian food!

This place could pass for fancy if it wasn't for the bread bar. Villagio bread may be the fanciest bread at Walmart but I don't exactly want to go all the way to a restaurant to eat it. At least it's free I guess

The food was great. But the service, our waiter was good. He had a lot of tables. Which I understand completely. I'm a patient women. But the manager and bar tender had terrible attitudes, which left a bad taste in my mouth.

I have been here 3 times in the past 2 months! The food is delish. I love the setting, the decor, and the atmosphere. I was most impressed when I arrived today hoping they could make a take out order and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend this restaurant, and the calamari, the kale salad and the fries! So good.

Went here for brunch! They have a great variety of fresh and different options. I had the breakfast pizza with eggs over easy.next time I would like to try the Frittata.

They have a bread bar that you heat on a grill yourself. I had cinnamon toast.

The restaurant was bright, clean and fancy looking.

Loved the place. The decor was lovely. Went for brunch. Food was delish, prices were good and our server Brenna was awesome. My new favorite place!

I visited this location recently and was very disappointed with the bread bar. The main reason we used to attend the one in the NE is the incredible bread bar they provide which accompanies the meal so nicely. I took my sister who is new to the city to this location and was very dissatisfied with the bread that was offered. It was typical american "toast" bread instead of the traditional focaccia bread etc. There was barely any butter in the dishes as well.
Food itself was decent and I would give it a higher rating if they put slightly more effort into the bread bar especially since they had just recently opened.

I'll give it 3 stars but it's probably closer to two and a half stars. It's a new spot so I'm giving it a bit of a break, but they seem like they are seriously short staffed. Almost every time I go there, I have to wait several minutes to get greeted. Sometimes the one server would even see me but not even acknowledge that I'm even there. There's a sign that says to wait to be seated. Almost makes it worse. Growing pains hopefully.

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend with some friends. This restaurant was full of friendly staff and had excellent food! Great breakfast and supper experience.

This place is new so I will have to revisit and see how it is again. The atmosphere and menu choices and such were great. They seem to still be getting settled in though. I stood at the front door for 10 minutes to get a table and the. Ended up having to make my way though the restaurant to the side door to get a table. The food was good but the cod was over salted and the pasta really oily. It was good and there are other things I want to try.and I will but they just need to get the opening bugs out.

We have been in a handful of times, at all times of day. Great service, fun menus and a very comfortable atmosphere. We have brought friends in and always recommend it to people looking for a spot in the area to grab a bite. The toast bar is a totally fun treat too!

We went for dinner on Monday night. I was greeted and seated right away. It's a new building in a developing area. The service was really good. We got to try the wine specials before we chose which to have. There is a bread bar. You can toast your own bread and choose from 4 different spreads.
The server was very knowledgable and answered all our questions and made recommendations. We got the deep fried risotto for and appetizer. It was good and I really liked the sauce it came in. I got the penne Alfredo with pesto, chicken, mushrooms and tomato. It was more food than I expected and I had to take it home since I couldn't finish it. It tasted good. My friend got the raviolis and she liked hers as well. I attribute the five stars to the over all experience and the really great service.

What a fabulous place to eat. I had the goat cheese and pesto pizza at the suggestion of Steve - a funny, engaging server who made dining alone a relaxing experience. This pizza, with the Parmesan and chilli oil on it was one of the best pizza experiences of my life. And I ain’t young no more. Haha. The bread bar was ok/ but the service and the pizza - wow.

First time at Pacini. Excellent service, excellent meal. Had the Italian Feast. Perfectly cooked steak, delicious shrimp, Italian sausage, grilled vegetables, parmesan fries (OMG SO AMAZING) and caesar salad. The dessert is perfectly portioned. Some choices are very small but perfect after such a large meal but some are perfect to share. The server was very honest about the size so ask which is best for your circumstance. Our server was well versed in wine selection as well so if that is your thing you will get great advice.
Overall a great experience, which will become a regular part of our dining out.

Today we met friends for a delicious brunch at the Pacinis Meadows Mile location. The decor is modern and very attractive. Our server was conscientious and our order arrived in a reasonable time. The portion was large and came hot. Liked the thermal coffee pot left at our table.delicious coffee and appropriate sized cups. Such a pleasant atmoshpere!
