Liked the environment, this place is very beautiful and great for photography! The drinks are fine, not extraordinary though! We enjoyed spending some time there for talking and having coffee. Recommend if you are looking for a cozy spot!

You will be happy to know they have parking, for me this is a big plus in this area. Great coffee, friendly service and overall cool atmosphere. I hear they have regular events on Wednesday’s and are planning to add live music on Sunday’s.

The mostly lovely location and staff. I had the palm of my hands drink which was to die for. Hands down best London fog and caramel macchiato in the city. Can't wait to go back! Perfect for studying or a meeting. Or just for fun. And lots of parking which is hard to find in the central part of the city. Thanks for having me!

Came here for the first time and got the decaf coffee. It was so good I honestly thought it was non decaf. Definitely the best coffee I have ever had. Great staff, lovely people. Amazing vibe. 10/10 recommend going here!

Like others here I feel compelled to leave a review out of disappointment. I can't honestly remember the last time I didn't leave at least a minimum tip at a restaurant or a bar but I didn't tonight. I really had high hopes for this place. I had been wanting to go there for some time. The location is lovely and this space deserves being used to its full potential. My husband and I arrived on a Saturday night at 9 PM hoping for a cocktail and a snack or dessert to finish off what had been a lovely evening elsewhere. Our orders were taken relatively quickly although perfunctorily so. And then.nothing.for over twenty minutes.and we had only ordered cocktails while contemplating food. We were sitting on the main floor in full view of the service counter. No one even looked over in our direction including the woman who we later learned was the owner. We thought at first that maybe they were understaffed but then as we sat there we counted five wait staff in addition to the owner. There were about 8 clientele on the upper floor and there were 12 people including us on the lower floor. (I counted) Other tables that had been waiting as long as us or even longer, were also unserved. Eventually the owner brought over water (?) for us.after about 20 minutes and told us our drinks would be another five minutes.she seemed surprised when I suggested to my husband that we leave. My husband suggested we stay when she assured us we were up next. The cocktails were relatively okay. There was little in the way of food and we didn't take a chance on ordering any food that needed preparation as we watched one of the wait staff put together something that looked like it should be relatively quick but took more than 15 minutes. We had thought there would be desserts but all there was were some sad looking pastries that might have come from Safeway and a few cookies. We landed up having our cocktails at essentially what felt like a local generic mom and pop restaurant/coffee shop. No food. No snacks. No dessert. We weren't even asked if we wanted any. I can't think how they are going to survive like this. They can't be making much money because they are losing opportunities such as the ones we would have been happy to have. Even atmosphere wise the place was cold and uninviting. There were some basic tables that seemed to be oddly placed within the space and little decor. Even as a coffee shop I couldn't feel like I would want to spend an afternoon there. It is sad in so many ways because I wanted to like this place and the location deserves something awesome. I am not prone to leaving critical reviews and always try to give people the benefit of the doubt but this place needs to up their game considerably if they are to survive. Reading the reviews here I think the more critical reviews are bang right on and am surprised at those who say the place is cozy and well decorated. I am also puzzled by the owner's response in that they are trying to figure out what people want. It seems like a very inexperienced approach. I was left wondering if she/they have any prior restaurant/hospitality experience. I think they need to figure out what they are about and then commit to that fully. They have been open for at least a month and it is not an excuse to say "we are new". Restaurants experience growing pains but usually you have that figured out within a week. You should never open before you are ready including having fully trained staff and an efficient bar and well stocked/organized food service, especially in a city with all sorts of great restaurants/bars/coffee shops and in an area in proximity to 124th St.where there are so many other much better choices. We will not be back.

I’m disappointed in this place. I work nearby so it’s an easy stop for me to grab something quick. The thing I tend to grab is what is disappointing. The owner recommended I try the brewed coffee. Talking it up and offering a nice description of it. I gave it a go and the flavour was all over the map. It was extremely sour with a “just smoked a cigarette” bitterness at the end. It was really hard to finish and unfortunately I didn’t. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back a week later to try it again. I know coffee pretty well and know a lot of things can affect the flavour. Unfortunately it was my mistake and it tasted exactly the same. I’m not sure they know how to dial their coffee in properly, as what they were describing and what I was tasting were two completely different things. Don’t recommend for coffee.

Went there to have some cocktails. I really like the the interior and the decoration. But was not very impressed by the cocktails. For $15 a cocktail, the presentation was too basic and nothing like the photos on the website. I was very underwhelmed.

Enjoyed a delicious chicken taco bowl and Merlot from British Columbia tonight at Rhubarb, an upbeat inviting venue, artfully decorated by the owner with many interesting areas in which to sample a specialty coffee, cocktail wine or other beverages, desserts, and specialty bowls and salads. The warm and friendly owner shared her story with us while we enjoyed the spectacular view from a table on the upper level. Located near the northeast end of Manchester Centre just off 119 Street snd 107 Avenue, Rhubarb is an exciting new addition to the downtown area. We enjoyed our visit and will return soon. Please support local businesses such as this delightful venue.

Fantastic place, fantastic atmosphere, and the manager Heather (hope I spelt it right) was a breath of fresh air. Loved the service, loved the special tea she picked for me (I wish I asked for the name again) loved the vibes. Great study place, great meeting place, great calming place. A plsace to visit more than once a month if not a week. Thank you for the hospitality. See you soon

Such a gorgeous space with super kind staff! The caramel macchiato was by far better than one I’d get at Starbucks and I love the amount of seating they had including an adorable balcony in the indoor alleyway. I also really like that they’re open on Monday’s as most small coffee shops seem to be closed. I can’t wait to come back for cocktails!

I have been here on a few occasions and always have left happy. The drinks and service have always been great, the coffee is just how I like it! Its a beautiful spot, very unique and pretty! I recommend this place to everyone looking for a cool new place to check out! I'll definitely be back!

Came here for a date on Saturday night and wasn't all that impressed. I understand this is a newer spot and there will be some growing pains as they figure things out, but man. Date and I each had two cocktails, and nothing else, and it took a minimum of 20 minutes to get each round, even though the place wasn't full and the bartenders and servers were visibly standing around chatting. We were also sitting quite literally across from the bar maybe 10 feet away, so it was pretty easy to tell when we might have wanted another. If they were running around doing their best I'd have more sympathy but I saw no reason for the hold up, and when you're paying $15 or so for a cocktail I think it's reasonable to expect it a little faster. We wanted a third drink, because they were good, but we decided it wasn't worth waiting again. The server also placed my cocktail not quite on the coaster, and when I reached for it it almost fell and did spill significantly and no one offered help or even a paper towel to clean it up. I love this place conceptually, but in practice? Needs work.

Came in for coffee and found Rhubarb to be overpriced and disappointing. I ordered a cappuccino and it came in a 16 oz latte bowl - the espresso was sour and the drink had little foam. For $7 you can get much better espresso in the area.

Our table was dirty and we had to ask the barista to turn the music down (which she did).

Service was friendly and when I mentioned I didn't like my drink the barista said they only had big mugs right now.

It seems this business is still finding its groove.

We were excited to try the place because it presents well. Unfortunately, the service was astoundingly slow and the drinks were not great. Watered down.

I review because I want folks to do well, and with the competition out there, you can't be mediocre.

Such a beautiful space with a friendly owner! There's so many nice places to sit to enjoy your drink either downstairs, on the balcony, or in the alley, which gives off a cute French vibe ️ I also tried their Kit Kat croissant and it was delicious!
