I had an absolutely fantastic experience climbing with Patrick in Banff. I was impressed by the Ridgeline website, particularly the detailed descriptions of dozens of classic routes. I reached out with info about my experience, ability, and wants, and he quickly responded back with some great ideas for which routes to consider. From there, booking and communication were a breeze. On the climb itself, Patrick's knowledge and experience were immediately apparent, and he's a friendly and personable guide as well. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a great rock climbing or ice climbing guide in the area. Will definitely work with Ridgeline again next time I'm here.

My 16yr old had a great time with Patrick on the Sunshine Slabs Patrick is hugely experienced and it showed as he instructed Harry on the routes which got tougher and tougher. Harry thoroughly enjoyed himself.

I took a weekend Glacier Travel & Crevasse Rescue Course, June 4 & 5,2022.
The instruction was both excellent and thorough, with lots of hands-on practice and opportunities to ask questions.
We practiced; rescue scenarios on both rock and glacier/ice, snow anchor building (T-slots), glacier travel in a group, ice screw placement and anchor building on ice, and equipment selection.
Patrick really knows his stuff, is personable, and his passion for guiding and teaching is evident. I was happy with the balance between instruction and practice.
I would highly recommend him for guiding or mountain training.

I had a great time climbing with Patrick I did the Ice Course in February and was blown away by the experience so I brought my family back to do rock climbing in the summer. Professional, safe, and experienced everything you could want in a guide and more. Took us to some great spots and paid attention to everyone's technique individually and critiqued as necessary. Would highly recommend this company to anyone and will definitely be going back for more!

2020 09 16: I did a three day hike into the Bugaboos with Patrick that included an ascent of East Post Spire, a scramble for the most part with some exposed climbing near the summit. The trip was well organized and paced, the climb was outside my comfort level but I felt completely secure with Patrick's guidance and was very happy to summit. Another great experience in the mountains with Patrick.

2020 07 20: I hiked Old Baldy Peak with Patrick to get a refresher course in scrambling. We had a great day, Patrick was good company and the experience was enjoyable as well as meeting all my objectives.

Excellent guiding and really great company—we were guided up The Onion in a decently large group and it went off without a hitch! Can not recommend Ridgeline enough.

Spent the day Rock-climbing, wish I had booked more time. One day was great, a second day would have allowed me more time to practice new skills.
