Right Start Daycare

One of the best daycares in Calgary, absolutely love it! My son was always excited to be here. Big ups to Janelle, Jess and the entire staff.

My son has been attending this daycare since he was a infant and will soon be moving on to Kindergarten. It really is everything you hope for in a daycare for your child. They are professional, warm with the children, fun. They are always doing a different activity each day that is age appropriate. A ton of outside time. And I think they eat better at the centre then my own home!

My family absolutely loves this daycare.
We have been at Right start for almost a year. And we highly recommend. Being able to see your childs progress in everyday life through Hi mamma is wonderful.im so happy my child has two wonderful and caring teachers in her senior preschool class, This daycare also offers a great curriculum.

Our little one has been at Right Start since the end of October in the jr infant class and has adjusted so well! I had started the hunt for the right day care early on as we had a cow milk protein allergy and wanted to find a place we were felt comfortable and confident it wouldn't be overlooked. We toured many in the central NW/NE area and after meeting with Janelle, they were the obvious choice. The owner operator has children herself that attend the daycare so we felt that the standards must be upheld to a strong degree. The teachers rotate among the classes so even though we don't get to become as familiar with a select few, they are all very friendly. Communication is through the common himama app, which is easy to use and we have been happy with the response rate. We get lots of photo updates throughout the day, a mood update and the daily report at the end of the day. Jess, the program director, is approachable and friendly. As new parents we had tons of questions and concerns in the first few months and Jess has always been informative and accommodating! The parking lot is a bit weird to get out of, especially during busy times. As long as you have a back up camera, it's all good! The location next to a bottle Depot and in an industrial area may be off-putting for some, but I recommend to take a tour with Janelle first before passing them over We chose them over the big name franchise daycares and we are happy with our choice.

My husband are I so pleased with the quality of care our son receives in the junior infant room!

I would highly recommend this daycare to any one looking for a positive, loving and educationally nurturing environment. We were very happy with the care our two children received (one in toddler, and the other in junior preschool). The teachers truly cared for our children and management addressed our raised concerns quickly and appropriately.

We enrolled our 4 and 2 year old at this daycare a month ago and we are very impressed with the high quality of care. The activities they do with the children are so intentional and well planned, the staff seems supportive and kind and the director has been very receptive with regards to any questions we have had. Communication is prompt, professional and positive in nature. We also love all of the updates throughout the day! It's so nice to see our little ones so engaged!

My daughter has been attending Right Start for about a year and a half, and we are so happy with the care she has received. She started in the Toddler classroom and has now moved up to the Preschool room - both have been great environments for her to learn and grow. We have been so impressed by the wide variety of art, science, math, language, and literacy activities - every day there is something new! I love that they have introduced a mindfulness practice to their curriculum as well. The HiMama app has been great to get a glimpse in to what she is up to each day. Communication with Janelle and our daughter's teachers is always quick and thorough. I have recommended Right Start to multiple friends and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone look for great quality childcare!

Our daughter has attended daycare and now preschool at Right Start and I have nothing bad to say about them. Their communication is amazing - we get daily report cards with photos & details & they're always doing such fun things. The director is responsive and great at communicating what is happening at the center in general. They were phenomenal throughout covid. We felt so safe sending our daughter during such uncertain times. Most importantly, our daughter loves going to daycare here. She looks forward to daycare days at Righr Start.

This daycare changed my views for the better! I was that parent who didn't ever want to send my children to daycare. I worried about not having a high enough quality of care to match my standards. This place SURPASSED my expectations! From the family owners who are on-site every day that genuinely care and value a positive atmosphere, to the fun, creative, and professional teachers who love on our kiddos, I'm very grateful to have found this child care center.

The values of this place being the "Right Start" for children is 100% true. The dedication to healthy development and implementing improvements like adding in mindfulness exercises and baby sign language, is just so incredibly aligned with our family.

If you are wondering if this is the daycare for your littles, I highly recommend you meet Ms. Janelle, the lovely owner. I've never met a daycare owner quite like her. She lifts everyone up around her and you can tell that her actions fully align with her values and words!

Thank you so much for creating a safe, high quality, nurturing environment where I feel proud and comfortable to send my two little ones. They love coming here so deeply that they often don't want to leave at the end of the day and beg to stay longer! (I literally have a photo of my youngest crying outside the steps of the daycare, as she was having too much fun and wanted to stay)

My daughter Candice has been here for about 1 month. It’s really a good choice for us. She enjoyed here so much. They have many activities every day. I can see many photos of her on HIMAMA. And right start daycare is safe during the COVID period. Thank you all the teachers. I will recommend it to my friends.

Right start was the best pick for our son. The owner Janelle is professional, courteous, and a great communicator. The staff are absolutely amazing and we've had a really good experience getting our son used to daycare and they are also doing well transitioning him from the infant room to the toddler room. It didn't take long for our child to settle in and adjust to daycare, now he is excited when he arrives and runs out of our arms into the classroom. He loves his teacher and always seems to have a great time there, and we can already tell he's learning a lot. Janelle is kind and quick to respond to any questions that we have. I would recommend Right Start to anyone looking for a safe, friendly, happy, educational environment for their kids.

Right Start is a great place. My children have so much fun! Great food and awesome programming. The activities they do are outstanding, lots of science experiments and they link the books they read during circle time to their daily activities.
This summer they cooled off by bringing out the sprinkler! The kids loved it!

When we were looking at different daycares, we wanted to make sure that our daughter feels comfortable in the daycare and that she looks forward going there every morning rather than dreading it - and she totally does! She loves the teachers and playing with the other kids and all the interesting activities that the teachers set up. Another reason why we picked this daycare over others is because we truly felt that Janelle (the owner) truly cares about each and every child and that she created this place not just as a business but out of deep care for the education and upbringing of the young generation. We are thankful for Right Start Daycare!

Right Start is my son’s first daycare that he ever has attended and he loves it there. The program and teachers there are awesome. I do not have to worry about my son of not getting his needs and not developing his developments because he is so well taking care of. I love the HiMama daily reports because that shows me he is really happy and enjoys being at daycare. Thank you Right Start for giving us a very good experiences for our very first daycare!

I have a Kindergartner and an infant who attend and loving coming. The staff are incredible, friendly and always welcoming. We love getting updates throughout the day and in the short time being here we see growth in both children.

I knew from my first tour of this Daycare and meeting the Director, Janelle, that this was a special place. This daycare is very professional, clean, friendly and loving! As a new mom, I was worried about where to send my daughter and this place put me at ease. Janelle answered every single question I had with comfort and confidence. My daughter has been going for just over a month and now jumps up to get ready for school when I mention her teachers' names! At 14 months old, she walks right into her room, waves hello to her friends, goodbye to me and closes the door. With the HiMama App, I get to see what she is up to all day and she gets to experience so much and has a blast doing it. I highly recommend this daycare to all!

My toddler and preschooler have been attending Right Start since June and I have been extremely impressed with this daycare. The teachers have been great with the children and have really gotten to know the unique needs and interests of my children. The center itself is very clean and spacious, and the food offered is healthy and my kids actually eat it. The director, Janelle, is awesome and always prompt with addressing any concerns or answering questions. Most importantly, my kids love going to this daycare! They have fun and have learned so much since they have started attending. I would not hesitate to recommend Right Start to anyone looking for quality childcare for their littles ones.

I am a mom of a preschool kid who goes to Right Start Day Care. I am so satisfied with everything that the day care offers.

First, their facility is very clean, very organized in a way that it suits every child's interests, needs, and abilities. It also has the standard classrooms equipped with quality toys, furniture, and amenities that could be used by the kids (cots for sleeping, washrooms and handwashing stations).

Second, their teachers are professionals and never fails to greet and wear a smile. I am absolutely 100% comfortable to leave my child with them. The reports that I also get from their Himama shows everything that my child does at the center. My husband and I are always looking forward and very excited to check the Himama report that was sent to us. We can see that our daughter enjoys the varied classroom activities, books, and the outdoor activities.

Third, my daughter loves the nutritious food that they serve at the center. It is so varied and they never fail to serve nutritious foods every day - with varied fruits for breakfast, lunch, and snack.

Lastly, their manager Ms. Janelle answer right away all my queries with so much confidence. She is such an effective, reliable, and efficient manager at the center.

My husband and I are indeed so grateful to have find this daycare for our daughter and would definitely recommend this daycare to my friends!

I have a 14 month old son in the infant room. He started in November and I have been so happy with the quality of care for my little one! The teachers are amazing in his room and the staff overall are amazing very friendly and polite. They care so much about the children and treat them as if they’re are their own. I know my baby is well taken care of every single day and it makes me feel so much better returning to work knowing how happy he is here! They do so many amazing activities with them that we have a wall in our house dedicated to his art! The whole centre uses the HiMama app which is AMAZING I love that I can see pictures of him throughout the day and everything I need to know about his day is always available in one place when I want to see it. I couldn’t recommend any centre more than this one I love it so much!

Place is in need of new management, they're incompetent and impossible to find if you have any questions. They sit in office all day. My child came back with bruises and I asked two different staff and got two different answers. Never bringing my child back here, they're now under investigation. Not sure how this place has got 5 star reviews, I am guessing it's from management's family members cause I wouldn't reccomend anyone bring their child here!

Edit: Excuse me!? What are you talking about? You know my child went here for a month before I pulled him due to abuse. Shame on you for lying! I will NOT REMOVE MY REVIEW FOR WHAT HAPPENED! SHAME ON YOU FOR LYING AND DENYING MY EXISTENCE! Report me all you want because your daycare is already under investigation! Your the one who needs to be reported!
