TOTALLY MISREPRESENTED! THEN GHOSTED!
We Entered Our Skid Steer in the Ritchie Brothers Auction on Sept 6 2023. We were lot number 1021. When it was our turn RB put LOT 1020 and 1021 together. They put up a picture of an Older and Smaller Skid Steer (POS) and sold it for 28K. The auctioneer then said "Oh there is no lot 1020" and then they gave the buyer our Skid Steer.
A similar Skid steer to ours (Same yr and Size Lot 1019) sold minute's earlier for 46000.00
Our Skid Steer was not auctioned off properly and when we phoned a minute later we were put through to voicemail and have not had any of our phone calls answered.
We are so Disappointed in the service we received. This was our first experience selling with RB and it is going to be our Last!
We understand mistakes can be made but own up to it, and call your customers back! TSK TSK 2 Thumbs down!

I was contacted by the group to make a bid on a sea container and in turn I had placed the winning bid in a that auction at Ritchie Bros and Iron Planet #10250997 After the win I witnessed a group of highly unorganized and unprofessional staff who clearly lied to me to change the outcome of the auction. I was awarded my sea container as I won highest bid. I received my official notice of winning by email and was notified by staff on a Sunday that I had secured the container as the highest bidder and that it was in fact it had cleared with the sellers and that we could proceed with payment. When I went to complete my transaction first day back at work the following day they revoked my win on their website as well after afgprding me the official win and documentation. They sold my sea container because they found someone after the auction who would pay a little more. I had even received all paperwork of approval with 7 days to pay, so that left me with 6 days left to pay, but they stripped me of my win despite officially awarding it to me by phone, call, and email documentation. It was an unethical practice to void my winning bid after contacting me and tell me I won, and then immediately sell it to someone else. On top of that David, Lindsay, and customer care never called back or looked into the issue even after they said they would. I even called back and left mesages with numerous people over text, email, and phone days proceeding the incident. No integrity within this group! It says alot about their morals and ethics. I do not recommend auctions at Ritchie Bros and Iron Planet because it doesnt matter if you win or not! Be clear that these people do not hold good to their word they will take the rule and law out of the auction proceedings. If they make right regarding this experience Id consider taking down my review but for now I hope the public can see these people for who they are. Reputation and trust is earned not given and that is somethimg you cannot get back. Ive lost all respect.

When viewing vehicles inline, MA seem to make an effort NOT to show the exhaust in theur run videos, a very important factor when buying from an auction. Dont get burned. BUYER BEWARE.

Also, there new fee structure means that if you buy a 20$ item, the minimum fee will be 100$. Yes, thats a 500% fee per 20$ lot. BUYER BEWARE.this is NOT like other auctions, such as michener allen, who charge fair fees for cheaper items.

As for your reply, a 15% increase in corporate profits, at 1.2billion$ year over year says otherwise. This is nothing more than the familiar run of the mill corporate greed we're becoming all to familiar with

I look forward to Ritchie Bros auctions, I usually end up buying something and transactions have been smooth, even recommend an awesome carrier! Keep up the great work. I find the timed auctions a bit annoying with the count down and time rest. Would like to see top bid takes it.

Horrible communication and change of the rules. Won some items for $50 or less and the want to charge you $100 on top of EACH item. Si bill of 300 turns into 1400 for nothing. They wasted my time dont waste yours with them.

I think Richie Brothers do a bunch of work talking you in to signing with them and then the work stops once papers are signed. I would also give some serious thought, if you are selling property with these clowns to have a reserve bid, to make sure you have the ability to walk away when they sell your grandparents whole life for nothing. If I could have given them a half of a star I would have.

Was great to view the truactors that we needed to see and then soon staff were able to meet the questions I had and above l! Ayay ty
