If you opt to take a road test at this particular center, it is not advisable. The instructors seem to unjustifiably deduct points, citing reasons such as changing lanes slowly. This seems unreasonable because one should change lanes when conditions allow and it's safe to do so. They even mark you down for backing at the parking and other peculiar reasons that lack common sense. Surprisingly, I wasn't penalized for any major errors. I now understand why this test center has such poor reviews; it appears they are more interested in making money than conducting fair assessments. Kurt is the worst examiner. Lastly, I passed my road test on my second attempt at a different center. I strongly recommend avoiding this subpar test center for your road test.

This seems like a concerning practice aimed at extracting more money from individuals. It's becoming evident to me why Alberta has a higher failure rate compared to other provinces in Canada. It's quite baffling that provinces like Ontario and British Columbia, with higher populations and traffic volumes, have a lower failure percentage compared to Alberta. I hope that anyone who goes to this registry for a road test, dealing with examiners like Kurt, has better luck.

I wish I had an option to vote 0 rating!

This is the worst possible Drive Test Center ever. Kurt was my examiner for twice and he is unreasonable. He just wants to deduct points for every small thing. If there was a point criteria even to blink your eyes, he would actually deduct points for that too. I had very minor errors the second time, but he marked straightway 20 points for each criteria. I don't agree with this at all. And yes, they don't go by the books.

This center is focused to just make money. Hear me out, don't book your exam here, maybe you will pass the first attempt in some other center. But here, it's a definite fail especially if you get Kurt as your examiner.

They don’t have enough staff. I wish I can post a pictures of a line of people.
I Was waiting for 50 min to hear that I don’t print corporative documents and I have stayed another 30 min to be served.
As a suggestion, you may would like to bring more staff or chairs for your customers who are waiting 1 hour in a line.

This is a nice neighbourhood registry, their new location is a much needed upgrade. Had no problem getting registration and licenses here in the past.
However today I had an issue when getting an Alberta photo ID. The agent would not accept my NEXUS card for confirmation of my status in Canada, despite the Alberta government website stating that NEXUS is valid for registering for an Alberta ID (NEXUS Cards state my Canadian citizenship on the card and can be used to cross international borders). I even showed the agent the document from Alberta's website that states NEXUS as accepted ID, they still declined and said it was not accepted.

I went to an AMA later today and they accepted my NEXUS as valid ID no problem and they successfully processed my Alberta ID. I understand this is not commonly used but I do not appreciate the agents going against the guidelines that the AB government has laid out. I encourage this registry to properly train their agents on what documents are accepted.

Miss the old staff, new staff is kind of rude, should have gotten my license somewhere else.should only take 4-5 business days, not 2 weeks.
