I want to express my gratitude to Google for locating River City Motors to resolve the major issue with my VW Jetta GLI car. I've been to several auto shops in Edmonton, but they haven't fixed the main issue. What's causing my car to shake, engine light on, rough sound and lose power? I spend a thousand bucks, but after a few weeks the problem came back again, so decided to search online and check the reviews of the costumers and I saw River city motors have a lot of good feedback.
It was a challenge to secure a slot for my appointment due to the large number of cars waiting. I've been waiting for weeks to screen my car and diagnose the problem, even though I've been waiting for a long time, but it's worth it. Furthermore, they send you a picture of the vehicle's issue and the parts that need to be replaced.
As a whole, River City Motors is a top-notch auto shop. I strongly suggest it to my relatives, friends, and friends of friends.

Absolutely knowledgeable staff, took my Honda in as a diagnostic for a problem that people thought might be one issue, with the expertise at river side they determined a completely different thought with proof and fixed the issue I was having. They managed to do this when it was busy on a Friday and gave me a plan moving forward in regards to maintaining the car and building up going forward. Highly recommend.

Gave me a great price on Liqui-Moly oil and Oem filter in a nice oil change kit. They do bulk if you have your own jugs for a small savings as well, or as was in my case without my jugs, the oil was ordered and was ready for pickup 1.5 hrs later. Their prices on oil for European cars can't be beat! I highly recommend them for both parts and for service!

Thanks to Chris and his team at RiverCity! I have been using them since they opened in 2014 and are the only shop I allow to touch and service my vehicles. They are knowledgeable on all makes of vehicles, not just Volkswagens and always provides the best service or repair possible at a reasonable and affordable price. They are happy to answer any stupid question I might have. Always the perfect alignment done the first time. No BS.

The staff are always helpful in finding the problems and the techs do a good job of making the required repairs. My Mazda had a last minute problem which they diagnosed and repaired with a part I had at no extra charge.

It is a pleasure working with them. They are very clear what the issues are and provide flexible options to respond. They even identified an item that another organization had done wrong that was not even on the list of issues I was addressing on my old car.

I got my aftermarket downpipe installed on my audi s3, was done at a very good price, quick labour's and the guys at rivercity are very informative to discuss my future performance mods. I also brought my wife's car to do the timing chain and tensioner on her Audi A4. They explained this common issue with this car along with good details for the required replacement parts.

I will always come here for work on my German cars that I won't be performing myself.

I enjoy working with River City Motors. They are fast, efficient, honest and forthright. They will tell you exactly what needs to be repaired and give you an honest timeline and estimate which they will ultimately stick to. They will also let you know if they find something that is wearing but doesn't need to be done at the time. They will also provide an estimate for the future required repair if requested. David and Chris are very easy to work with.

Dropped my car off, they happened to perform the diagnosis a day ahead of schedule, found the multiple issues with my car which were causing me a headache for months, and fixed it another day ahead of the estimate (almost immediately actually), and all for a good price in my opinion. Will definitely be returning.

Rivercity motors is the best place to go if you have an audi and want to enhance your cars performance, they did a stage 2 tune on my rs7 as well as installed a new intake and downpipes. This is hands down the place to go if you want the best bang for your buck and really have fun driving your car again. I will definitely be back in the future:).

I never want to spend money to get my car back into shape, but these guys made getting the necessary work done as painless as possible. Chris, Bill and the guys do it all. From regular maintenance like a oil changes to installing a roll bar, Suspension upgrades like shocks and sways or engine mods like oil coolers or corner weighting and alignment. They keep my custom supercharged street Miata track ready. They even hunt down those weird electrical issues. Fair Price, quality workmanship and excellent service. You guys rock!

Chris is absolutely amazing, I had a silly issue with my Jetta that left me concerned with it being as cold as it is, and he was kind enough to check it out and do a ride along with me to give feedback on very short notice. These guys go out of their way to make sure customer service is a priority and to actually take the time to help where most places only really want your money. Contacted river city for some estimates on my 05 a4 and they were very professional. They answered all my questions thoroughly and gave some good advice. Once I complete my budget for repairs this year I will definitely be making an appointment.

Excellent. I'm fairly mechanically inclined with most things automotive but they were able to easily answer all my questions and help get the right set up for my cars wheel alignment after lowering it to make sure I would have the best performance and aesthetics I was looking for. Its a night and day difference in terms of drivability improvement after they were done.

I've been going to Rivercity Motors for a little over 3 years, and my only regret is that I hadn't heard about them sooner.

Not only do they do the basics like oil change and checkup, but they have also done some challenging, in-depth (I call them) "surgeries" on my 2006 VW Tuareg. Basically, this SUV requires technicians who know what they are doing in order to work through the issues. They've always been honest about costs on parts and labour (I've done my research on the side).

Something that stands out most to me as a female driver, with minimal knowledge about motor vehicle mechanics, is their generosity in explaining to me how things work, always offering ways to take better care of my car. Every repair is an educational experience, and they treat me like a person.

I highly recommend Rivercity Motors to everyone, and not only for European vehicles.

The business charges fair prices, keeps to promised deadlines, and the owner is affable. I have gone here for several years. Some other auto service places try to replace everything under the hood. If there are more services required to be done, they explain the reasoning for this and the options. They don't pressure you into buying over-priced or unnecessary auto services.

Was recommended to bring my miata here for some work and so glad I did. I was kept in the loop of what was going on via text while I was at work so I knew what was happening. The cost was well within reason too. I'll definitely be bringing my car back there when necessary. Thanks guys!
