Riverside Dental Centre

I'm fairly new to Red Deer and was looking to get some dental cleaning done. I feel extremely lucky to have chosen Riverside Dental! Its easy to tell that they take great pride in what they do. Clean facility, friendly staff, and a very positive environment! My hygienist was Shawna. She explains things really well and constantly checks if you're doing okay throughout the cleaning process. I couldn't feel any pain or any discomfort!

I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!

They also gave me a welcome package which was a really nice gesture. This is a gem of a place! Great people!

I actually look forward to getting my teeth looked at here as staff is always pleasant, courteous and gentle.

From the receptionists at the front to my dental hygienist, assistants and finally the very kind and thorough dentists, I have been treated with kindness, dignity & respect. They explain everything every step of the way & it feels like they’re literally holding your hand through the process whatever it may be. I may not look forward to the dental work but I always look forward to seeing them.

Very informative & helpful, quick on preventative care, professional, great bedside manner.

What an amazing team at riverside dental. My son was absolutely terrified going into the dentist for the first time, and left feeling so confident and proud of himself. They treated him with so much kindness and patience, we will be returning and making this our go to office for our family. Nothing but good things to say for the team here.

Our family has been going to Riverside Dental for many years now. They are very professional & attentive. Dr. Lamey & team do a great job from start to finish…explaining the process and making us feel comfortable with whatever the treatment may be. Extremely pleased always.

I was seeing a dentist, Briana Laney. I started Invisalign and it was suppose to be a 16 week treatment, however my teeth were not moving and it was extended. Briana blamed me for not wearing my retainer, however I was very vigilant in wearing them as I had braces prior and learned the importance of wearing them. Once I “completed” my Invisalign I was fitted for my permanent trays however once they arrived, my teeth shifted due to no way of keeping them in place. So I went back on Invisalign to correct it. Then it was time for my permanent trays again, and they advised that the trays I was initially put in were not sufficient that’s why they were ineffective so I got 3 sets of Invisalign retainers. Throughout my treatment I have complained that my mouth is not comfortable, my bite is off, my jaw is constantly hurting, and it’s just not feeling right. However, since my Invisalign has been off, things have not improved. My teeth are hurting all the time, I’m wearing my retainers majority of the day as when they are out my teeth are hitting each other and my jaw is sore. They believe it is due to me grinding, which may be the case, but my retainers are lose and they should have put me in a night time retainer from when I finished Invisalign. B. Laney refused to take any ownership or listen to my concern. As of today, they scanned my teeth, the hygienist advised she sees the teeth have moved, but the dentist doesn’t see it. They are sending me to a specialist as my “expectations are too high”, but all I wanted was her to listen and take my concerns seriously but she never did. Briana is a very nice person however I would not recommend her as a dentist.

This was hands down the best experience I’ve had at the dentist. From the front reception, to everyone in the back, a good atmosphere and lots of smiles! Dr. Miranda Wong was very gentle and always checking in to make sure I was comfortable. Highly recommending to all of my friends and family.

Had a cleaning and exam today. From the moment I walked in, I had a prompt, friendly greeting from Shayla at the front desk. Shauna cleaned my teeth and it was the best cleaning I've ever had. Dr. Wong did my check up, she was kind, understanding and knowledgeable. 5 stars all around - I'll be back! Thanks Riverside Dental.

Welcomed in, very little wait, friendly staff, accommodated my special request. Quick and efficient.

I’m still fairly new to the Riverside family and all, however, they have been welcoming and knowledgeable in educating me with any questions I have had surrounding my oral care, and I look forward to getting to know their staff more, as they are the largest dental centre I have gone to. The staff that I’ve met are compassionate and take concerns seriously if you have any like I do when it comes to dental anxiety etc…

I only gave it a 4/5 due to being fairly new.

Update -Dr. Syed has been excellent with me considering I do have dental trauma from a former dentist. Her assistants are really good to me, too!

These people absolutely destroy any preconceived notions about dental work. Nice professional staff. Accommodating relaxed environment. Ten stars

They treat me much better than my old dentist did. I am way happier now. They listen and understand where my pain is or help me get to a solution.

I definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good dentist.

I give them 10 out of 10 stars.

Dr Lamey is amazing and very personable. The dental hygienists there are very good and friendly with patients.

Dr Lamey and everyone else that works here are awesome! My kids are 6 and 3 and always been happy to go and always leave happy too.
I always have had a pleasant and honest visit. The place is always well kept and clean.

Would recommend to anyone for themselves or kids.

Dr. Dawes and her team are absolutely amazing! They go the extra mile to make sure you are pleased with their work. Highly recommend!

First time here and I was very happy with friendly staff and care I received. I had Shane clean my teeth and he is very gentle and did a great job. There is no pain or discomfort getting your teeth cleaned with him.
Tracy did the rest of my work and she doesn't rush out of the chair and is very thorough with her check.
All the staff are very courteous and friendly. Great place. 5*

I went today with an emergency gum pain issue and was seen on very short notice and was given a great and very thorough exam - and was able to get in for a cleaning too! I very highly recommend Riverside dental! Everyone is so nice. I have never been happy to go to the dentist but I am now.

First time here and we were treated so well. From the receptionists, dental assistants to the dentist, at no time did we question the care being given. Booked my 2nd daughter just as my 1st one finished up.

The staff at Riverside Dental are amazing my family has been going to this clinic for over 10 years. Dr. Lamey is very gentle and great with kids. Chanelle and Bretton are the best hygienist. The crew here are always smiling and laughing such a great clinic!

I always have an excellent experience at Riverside Dental in Red Deer AB. I receive excellent dental care time and again. I am73 yrs.old and still have all my teeth, with some modifications. The staff are kind, pleasant and thoughtful. I am confident in the team at this Dental Centre.

I am typically very anxious attending the dentist and the staff here made it incredible! They explained everything with such kindness and compassion towards my concerns. They also took the time and I never felt rushed as they offered to answer all of my questions. I nearly hugged them when I left!

Riverside Dental is such a fantastic dental office, I recommend it to everyone I know. Dr Tracey and my hygienist Shane are two of the best. Very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Will always take the time to explain. I very much appreciate them.

All the staff are welcoming and take the time to explain procedures and answer questions. I like the “no pressure” approach!

Staff are welcoming and friendly. Shane, my hygenist is very tuned in to my nervousness about being at the dentist and is so kind and thoughtful with me and my fobia. Dr. Dawes is so kind and understanding. I have developed a trusting relationship with them both. I never have the urge to cancel or rebook my appts. I show up when I am due for my apts with no fear which is a milestone for me. Goes to show their kindness and caring.

Great experience very fast service and lovely staff. I had a cleaning done it was the best qnd fastest experience is ever got at the dentist. My hygienist did an amazing job and I have sensative teeth and usually dread these appointments but this one was painless pleasant and very efficient.

What an amazing dental office! I as many are very nervous to go to the dentist, that being said, the level of experience paired with the best staff around made my tooth extraction a comfortable experience.

I am very delighted to share with you readers that I can highly recommend Riverside Dental Centre for your dental needs. I have been going to them for many many years. I've had fillings, root canal's, caps put on, and cleaning done regularly. The Centre is immaculate, staff very friendly yet professional. They are like family and I always leave smiling and thanking them for the awesome opportunity I have to have them care for me.

The quality of the dental work and the staff is outstanding. My one complaint would be that the structure of the work rooms makes them very noisy and not terribly private.

I always leave riverside dental feeling like my dental health is well taken care of by dr dawes and her crew. I've been coming here for probably 30 yrs or more and never had a complaint.

Had to pay full price out of pocket for my families' routine check ups because the dentist wants to see us every 6 months but my insurance only covers once every 9 months. I'm not sure if it's myself of my insurance that's to blame here, but paying hundreds of dollars out of pocket to to get stabbed in the gums and get guilt-tripped over my brushing habits isn't my idea of a good time.

I've been coming to Riverside Dental since I moved to Red Deer in 2010 at the suggestion of a Periodontist from Edmonton. Very pleased with the work I've had done and the staff are always professional and friendly. I actually enjoy my visits to the dentist!

Really good dentist and hygienist, they were so gentle and explained everything really well. The staff at the front are amazing too, everyone that works here is very nice and helpful.

I have been a loyal client of Riverside Dental for many years. Always greeted with a smile and little to no wait time, it is always a pleasant experience. Their facilities are spotlessly clean, they go above and beyond the COVID-19 requirements. They are always a striving to give their clients the best experience. They direct Bill most benefit plans and are very knowledgeable about what services are covered. Highly recommended.

Admin staff are excellent. Easy to book, change times, etc. Reminder emails and texts are easy to use and respond to. Hygienist and dental assistant were fantastic. Thorough, informative, easy to talk to. Dentist was very down to earth and had no problems answering my questions. I’ve had a hard time with dentists in the past, but this place is A+ all the way around.

I have been going here for over 20 years. The staff are always friendly and professional. I have been on record that I would not trust anyone else with my teeth. Dr. Dawe is super.

Best Dentist around. Great group of staff. Can tell this place has a great work environment when all the staff is happy to see you and can share in a laugh or two while still being professional. Love going to the Dentist.

Went here for second opinion. And glad I did. Will be transferring my entire family over from other dentist. Riverside is NOT out to max my benefits yearly as I’ve learnt others may be doing. Friendly and professional. Had 2 wisdoms (top) pulled today. In and out went well and was charge barely anything as it was fast. Thank you Riverside!

Dr Tolman reviewed my concerns thoroughly and did a full exam regarding the issue being experienced. He was friendly and helpful and allayed fears. I’d see him again any day. COVID protocols were strong and appreciated.

A nice place. Friendly and competent staff. Bretton the hygienist I see does a great job scaling. Excellent at making scaling pleasant by taking care along the gums.

Over the last 3 years, I have had three crowns, a cleaning and today I had an extraction. Everything runs so smoothly and all of the equipment is state of the art (I’m not an expert, but it seems very, very good!), and the staff is extraordinary! My childhood dentist (in Fort Saskatchewan) was very happy with my crowns and even though he referred me to someone in Edmonton to have my extraction, I choose to come to Riverside, for all the reasons above but also they were able to get me in right away and it turned out to be half the price Edmonton wanted to charge. My mouth might be sore but it’s from all the grinning I’m doing! Thanks to everyone at Riverside Dental.

Dr Bre and her team are outstanding, my 2 and 4 year old were in and out so quickly (no waiting at all) and have since told me many times “that was fun” and have been playing ‘dentist’ ever since. I can’t thank the staff enough for their professionalism and making this daunting task completely painless! I would highly recommend Riverside Dental to anyone with kids!

I highly recommend this dental office. I’ve seen many dentists in my life and the work done on my teeth was great, not one single complaint. I will be back for anymore dental issues that arise and of course cleanings.

Who likes going to a dentist? Not me in particular but Riverside dental has erased a life time of anxiety in terms of worrying if you would get a good dentist.
My experience with riverside has been top notch, I was overly impressed with the level of expertise this office delivers.
I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing work.not only are the technicians gifted in there abilities, the front staff are very friendly and it almost feels like you know them when u converse with them.
Lastly, the office its self is clean, safe and very modern.

Very kind, patient staff. Friendly and helpful. Listened intently to my issue and even offered to fix a small issue I had on the spot, rather than make me make another appointment. Would highly recommend!
