Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge

We stayed here for 3 nights in one bedroom apartment and everything was good. Nice view, natural gas fireplace and dog friendly rooms the thing we were looking for. It is not as loud as I expected so we enjoyed our family New Year weekend.

This place is a rip off, way over priced everything is old and falling apart, the room I stayed in the sheets were dirty and unwashed, the fire place never worked, there were no fire alarms present in the room, the door jam to our room was messed up and you’d just have to push the door from the outside and it would open. I didn’t notice at first until a pair of rental skis were stolen out of our room that we ended having to pay for. The worst experience ever. It’s great if you don’t care about much but for the price you pay you think they’d look after it more.

Rooms are dated and do give out lodge feelings. I fell from the stairs because of the slippery carpet on the stairs. The building that we got in a room was under construction. I'm not sure why since there were a lot of other buildings which I am sure had other rooms available. Amenities were good since it had a kitchenette and crockery, which helped with the baby food preparation. The location is unbeatable, beautiful views of the mountains, and clear night provided stargazing opportunity. The only downside to the location was it is next to the railway track, and there was a loud noise of trains passing and highway loud vehicles. The room had AC only in the loft, and the room downstairs didn't have any cooling mechanism. There is only one bathroom for a multi-level apartment room.

Old rooms, stuffy and noisy, fridge made loud sounds all night. Very expensive for such a low quality room. We booked a 2 bed room and ended up with a hide-a-bed in the living room as one of the beds.not what we thought we were getting. Staff was lovely. Location is central, but right next to the railroad tracks, so again, noisy.
If they are going to charge premium prices, updated appliances and rooms would be appropriate.

An economical stay if you're only using it for a night or two. The rooms are dated but everything was functional and clean inside. Always nice to see free wifi available. The staff were friendly and helpful. The suite we stayed in, had a persistent odor that was hard to mask and made sleeping with it a bit of a challenge. The fan for the HVAC would kick on periodically and was quite noisy also impacting sleep. We booked through Vrbo, and the owner of the unit was not very accommodating when we expressed an interest in changing our booking to a later date due to several of us suffering illness. They declined to let us rebook forcing us to use the room or lose our pre-paid fees. Would not use Vrbo again for this location.

View from every room of 3 sisters mountain. 10 mins walk to downtown and some great restaurants around. This was a good stay as well and loved it.

We stayed for 2 nights while we visited Lake Louise. The room was basic with a kitchenette. Clean and comfortable. Views from the hotel were impressive. Good local restaurants were a short walk away. A little pricey but par with other hotels in the area.

We're checked in last Thursday August 10,2023 we got there around past 11 at night everyone is tired and we wanted to sleep but unfortunately my kids didn't sleep the whole night because when i open the sofa bed they saw how nasty it was. (see attached pictures) There's green and black bugs flying inside the room (killed all of them see attached picture) and maybe bed bugs too got some bites and I feel itchy in the morning. Smelly room too.stay away from room #174.

Stayed in a very dated/in disrepair apartment/condo that didn’t look like it was on the hotel premises for over $400 per night. It was cooler outside than in the studio, the cooling unit was minimally functional. The bed was comfortable, and I really appreciated the dog bed, toy, and bowls for my dog. For the price, however, the hotel really needs some serious upgrades-that is nothing against the staff and service, though, they were great.

Cute little hotel in Canmore. I really enjoyed my stay and the staff was great. Anne went above and beyond to help at check in and she is absolutely amazing!

Booked 3 nights in the 2 double with kitchenette. Nice room and location! Friendly staff! The hot tub is really nice with great views! Rooms are extremely clean and management should be proud of housekeeping as they maintain the place well. Would recommend.

Spacious rooms with kitchenette. Walls are a bit thin, can hear neighbour's TV for example. On the edge of town, so not as walkable as some of the other places in Canmore. Still recommend as a relatively affordable option.

We had the chalet. Great value during high season. Clean, comfy beds, good amenities, friendly staff and a hot tub. They also clean daily

Staff are friendly and accommodating. The place is really great with a view of the mountains in the background. The rooms are well maintained.

We had a good stay here for three nights. Ideally located near restaurants and a petrol station.

Decent value for the cost. Kind staff. Place is older, but definitely comfortable.
However room turnover at 9am can be early for some (is included), so we just declined took service every day as half of us were still asleep (vacation duh:)
Another thing to remember, if you are sensitive to noise do not choose rooms 260-270, the ones below those and if not mistaken 244-252 and rooms below as those gage the train tracks and it’s loud! Trains go there 24/7 so you’ll hear it.

The place has bbq on site and hot tub.

Booked room March 3, confirmed, price 269.10. Attempted to check in June 18, but was told that the price was now 369. Said not interested in it at that price, and walked away. Hotel wants to charge for the room - claims it was a no-show, forgetting that he did show up. It's a great way to stiff customers. What was the point of a confirmed reservation at a confirmed price? Disgusting.

Very central for the Banff region for visiting.

We had a single room apartment, which was clean and very comfortable. A good set of cooking utensils and a full oven.

The room we had over looked the mountains so a great view whilst eating in the lounge area. Bonus.

There is a separate laundry room with 2bwashers and 2 dryers that cost 1dollar 50 cents per load. (1dollar and 2x25cent).

There is a separate spa and sauna which were great.

Front desk staff all very warm and welcoming.

Place may be dated but the room was spacious and clean. Bed and futon comfy. Staff was quick to repond to requests- even when it was asking for patio chairs to sit outside. I have stayed here before and will again.:)

Beds were luxuriously soft. Exactly what I needed after Rolling in after a 13 hour drive.

Service was prompt and with a smile. Beautiful scenery. Would recommend to anyone traveling the highway.

Stayed for a long weekend and the hot tub had just been refilled and was cold. It took most of our trip to get back to temperature, extremely disappointing. They ask you to clean the dishes in the kitchenette buy, don't supply dish soap and expect you to trust someone else's washing. Great location, service was as expected. Towels provided had makeup stains. Overall a very average or below average stay.

I have stayed here several times. Great value during the winter. Comfy beds, mostly quiet, friendly staff and a hot tub. Pet friendly, they even provide you with a dog bed, bowls and a treat.

Feedback to the owners - please make the room numbers more visible from the parking lot. Its hard to find your room. Room 103 needs new curtains. There is a very bright light outside of the room and its hard to sleep.

Great staff, good location, clean and spacious rooms. The place is a bit dated but is an excellent home base for exploring Banff and the Canadian Rockies.

A bit older and showing its age, but the rooms are clean and well set up. Nice to have a kitchenette.

Perfect location between Banff and Calgary with a beautiful view. We had a clean and comfortable room with a fireplace with a stunning view of the mountains for a great price. Customer service was very nice and helpful when I called ahead as we checked in late. We are very happy with our experience.

Loved it. We stayed in the cottage, will definitely be back. Totally worth it. Next time will have to check out the suana and hot tub!

Decent budget hotel in Canmore with amazing views of the mountains. The large hot tub and sauna were definitely a nice touch after two long days of skiing. Unfortunately the room is very outdated and not that comfortable. The pillows were old and lumpy, the bed was ok, but the carpets need to be replaced - we even wondered if they had been cleaned. It was convenient to access Banff Sunshine and Lake Louise, and was within walking distance of dt Canmore.

We came in at 1: 30 in the morning after the Holiday Inn had an evacuation. The gentleman at the desk gave us a great price, the room was warm when we walked in, it was very clean, beds comfortable and an amazing view. It was also super quiet, I liked it better than the Holiday Inn, definitely a hidden gem. I would highly recommend and I can't wait to return.

Rooms could have been better cleaned, walls and carpet; also bedding was stained. Reception was very nice.

We have stayed here multiple times over the years and each time it’s good. Best value for the views and closeness to the town. Our last stay, however, we stayed in the studio apartment. Decent size with everything you need. Fairly clean, but some renovation work should be done. Our bedsheet had rips in it so I asked for another one the first night. Once I put it on the bed, it also had rips. I was too tired to fight about it. We asked them to service the room one time during our 4 night stay, and the new sheet AGAIN had rips in it. Some small stains on the pillows and comforter as well. We will stay again, but some serious upgrades are needed.

Wonderful and safe place to stay for the couples and family. Lots of parking area, picturesquely places all around, restaurants and shops near by to this hotel. The room also comes with a kitchen for families. I’d highly recommend, anyone who wants to stay overnight or for a three days trip to Banff or Canmore, can enjoy in this place. Staff helped me throughout my stay. Washer/dryer is available to do the laundry as well.

Great helpful staff with both Jay and Sahil doing their best to accommodate our situation. Very central location, clean and comfortable. The loft we rented was cosy with all the essentials that we needed available. Will be back.

Situated right on the outskirts of the small town. Beautiful mountains all around the lodge. Ample parking space. Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and beautiful view from the room. Loved it. Will come back soon.

Cheap price to get this view from your window. At least during shoulder season. They also have rooms to lock your bikes in.

Clean, spacious room. Really nice views or the mountains. Price per night was really good as well. Close to everything I needed (restaurants gas, grocery). When I am back in the area, I will be staying there again.

First off let me say what an absolute pleasure it was on front desk with Vitaliya, She greeted me with a big smile and had excellent people skills. I felt welcome from the begining, and really put me at ease.

A very safe and secure location, room very clean with natural soap (hand made)

I highly recommend staying here and will be vaccinated to have access to Sona and Hot tube.

A gem of a lodge! 100% recommend. Does not break the bank, and have excellent views of the mountains! Rooms were comfortable and had all the basic needs. I appreciate that we had a fridge. It was a public microwave available behind the main office. The hot tub and sauna were nice and toasty and an excellent recovery after days of hiking. The hot tub had views of the mountains!

On a weekend where the sun is blazing at 33°C and our AC in our room not working they graciously accommodated us by upgrading our room to a kitchenette suite with working AC and a little living room/kitchen area. They were super nice and friendly and even asked if we needed anything for our 9 month old puppy Ruby! The staff were amazing and I would highly recommend staying here

It's a wonderful place to stay with a very beautiful view and the price was really good and the staff were really respectful.

I like staying here because having a past ski racer life it's nostalgic. It's clean, the staff are friendly and has a great view. The rooms are spacious but very old, they definitely need to be updated.the room we were in last time smelled just like my grandpa's old folks home. Time to reno.but I still enjoy staying here.

Just right for our budget. It is quiet, staff are accommodating. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The view is amazing.

Stayed here a half dozen times now and always had wonderful experiences. Don't let the 'two star hotel' fool you.while the rooms are admittedly a little dated they are very functional, and some of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. We often bring our dog and they are very accommodating putting out a toy and bowls. The area also offers tons of green space nearby to walk your dog to do thier business. Also notable, the rooms are alot very quiet compared to other places we've stayed and the prices are very reasonable. Keep up the good work guys! Looking forward to visiting many times again!

Clean, with good customer service and a beautiful mountain view. Would be convenient if it had a coffee machine and microwave but overall a wonderful stay for the price, would stay here again.

I have stayed at the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge a few times now. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.
Close walking distance to amenities within Canmore.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. They even upgraded my room to a loft apartment which had a kitchen and balcony with it. Whole loft apartment was very cosy. View from the balcony was beautiful. Location is ideal, its just 5 mins drive from Canmore Downtown. They have a spa and sauna as well. Exterior is little outdated but overall its a very nice place to stay if you plan to explore Banff National Park.

Mountain view hot tub is good! Visited in summer so not sure abt the ski services and stuff. Generally okay staying in this place.

We stayed for just one night on our way out of town and the room was clean and affordable. You are able to cook in the space, so there were some lingering food smells when we checked in - but a very spacious living room and separate bedroom. Parking is plentiful in front of your room and access to the highway is quick and simple. A good option for swinging through town while on a budget.

First of all this is not a ski lodge. At least not like any ski lodge I have ever seen. It is a motel. Our room was small and very dated. There is a very small kitchenette area. I'm not sure what I was supposed to do with the coffee maker because there were no outlets in the kitchenette to plug it in. The handle on the toilet had to be held down to flush and you have to jiggle the handle to keep it from running all night.

Having said all that the room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. This was the least expensive room for the area. If basic accommodations are all you are looking for then this is a great place to stay.

Very friendly service. We ran out of salt while cooking and when we notified the staff their service was very quick. We traveled with an infant so they provided us with an infant crib too. Will be going there again

Convenient place to stay with pleasant rooms, close to all that Canmore has to offer and a short hop to Banff

The mountains are incredible
Looks like a little European hotel. The surroundings are breathtaking and beautiful.
The scenery includes the large mountain range and the decks have small flowered boxes.

This place was excellent! We had booked there before many moons ago and I wasn't too happy about booking again, because the rooms were stinky and old carpet was so rotten and stained, but the price was good and it was just for one night. We arrived sooner than planned and the front staff was very helpful and kind and let us check-in earlier than usual. The manager was present and very pleasant to talk to, he explained they had acquired the place about a year ago. They upgraded us to the cottage and what a pleasant surprise! It was hand down the cleanest place I've ever stayed. They apparently had recently remodeled it and it was huge! My kids were ecstatic with the accommodations and were hoping we could stay a few more nights. Thanks for making our weekend full of beautiful memories to cherish for life!

Spacious room with 3 king-sized beds. Equipped with kitchen utensils and toilet amenities. Neat, clean and tidy. Staff are polite and helpful.

Clean beds, nice staff and great location. There were bbq on site and cheap laundry as well. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals and nice fridge and oven. They upgraded us to the big suite and gave us a play pen for baby. I was so happy with this place and would book again.

We were upgraded to a suite for free, for a 6 night stay. The rooms were great, the wifi was fast, there are really nice BBQs (4 burner Webbers) for use, as well as a nice hot tub. I work on the road and stay in different hotels every week, this place was excellent for the price. I'll be staying here from now on in Canmore.
