Rodeway Inn

Booked with a kids’ hockey team to stay Jan 5 - 6/24. Lobby was disturbingly unkempt. First room checked into was dirty and had blood on the sheets. The team immediately checked out. I was not issued a refund because I booked through Expedia. Expedia would not offer assistance. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I’ve stayed at the Rodeway Inn twice before my last stay this week and was very impressed how clean, comfortable, and quiet it was. The staff especially Angela (Filipino) lady was exceptionally nice and accommodating. But upon checking in Xmas eve to the 27th, rm 116 appeared tidy. When I unloaded my belongings I turned all the lights on and saw how dirty the BR light switch, back door latch, room phone, laminate floors with dried up flies by the window and the urine smell throughout the room! Unsure if it was coming from the soiled sofa or corners or BR? I was to exhausted to complain and opened the window for fresh air. The beds are very comfortable and slept well. The next day I bought a room deodorizer and kept the window slightly open day and night and it was tolerable. I was busy throughout the days so only slept there in the nighttime. Didnt complain during my stay until check out time in writing and in person. I only hope they hire some REAL experienced housekeepers because it is in a convenient location and my other 2 stays/rooms were very clean and comfortable!

These guys were great. The staff went above and beyond for us! My only issue with the location was my dog has a fear of storms and the proximity to the airport had my dog anxious during the visit.

Rooms were good and clean. Towels in the room were having some different smell which was not good. Wifi in the hotel is awful. Very bad. Breakfast doesn’t have many options to eat but still good. Overall quiet and good location.

The location of this hotel was great! We were arriving from Saskatchewan via motorcycle and the Rodeway Inn was the first hotel we spotted on our way into town. Check-in was quick and friendly. After settling into our room, we noticed that our television did not work. The front desk attendant came to our room and tried to rectify the situation. As it was a cable issue, she immediately moved us next-door to another room. Even nicer. The rooms were basic but clean. Easy access to McDonald’s and Smitty’s restaurant next-door. Independent grocer and liquor. Store was a short walk away. Our bikes were able to be parked out front of the entrance in a safe well lit location. Overall a great stay!

We went to our room and there were 2 empty beer bottles by the sidewalk in front of our room, piles of cigarette butts alongside the bottles, the room smelled of smoke, the door would not close properly with gaps around it where light shone through, a sleezy character hanging around the corner. There was no way I would subject my wife and pup to that environment. I went to tell the front desk person that we could not stay there. She listened and asked me more than once if the room itself was okay, I assume for the sake of the recording being made. She did not offer a refund for the unacceptable lodging. She did not offer a refund for the extra fee we paid for our dog. She finally offered us the option to change to another room. My wife and I have been loyal Chase customers for 2 decades and I have come to expect basic quality from all levels of your chain's lodging options. I am clearly disappointed with my experience at this location. JE and LE

Clean! Very clean rooms. Service was amazing got here 11: 35 pm. The guy name Shubham was really very helpful. He explained where we can get food and drinks that late and most importantly he wasn’t rushing anything. Overall a very calm and clean place to stay.

Pretty much the chespest accomodation I could find right off the highway reasonable rate clean room, and breakfast coupon provided for cafe next door. Standard breakfast and room no complaints good for a quick overnight stay.

I was a late check in but the desk staff was patient & accommodating allowing us to change rooms from our reservation. The room was clean including the fully renovated bathroom. Internet was fast and a good selection of tv channels. And they offer a delicious hot breakfast. A special thank you to Angela at the desk who always remembers us over the years! A nice bonus that they are now part of the Choice rewards program!

3rd time I’m staying here. Staff has been friendly and welcoming. This time Angela went above and beyond to help me get a room. From my experience this stay. I will make the Rodeway Inn my only stay in Edson while my job brings me out here.
