I reached out to Romaniuk during an extreme cold spell in Edmonton. They were very responsive and the appointment was set up for a time that was suitable for me. John C.the technician, was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain how the furnace worked. And although he knew how old the unit was, there wasn't any pressure to purchase a replacement. In the end, it wasn't a furnace issue or a defective t'stat issue, it was the location of the t'stat causing me grief. John made a recommendation that I will follow and all will be in great working order. Thanks John!

I was referred to Romaniuk by a family member and after 2 years of suffering in the cold -40 winter with my furnace spontaneously shutting off, and 4 different technicians from all “brand name” companies coming in to check on it.

Ryan C was able to fix it! Highly recommend the company and ask for Ryan, knowledgeable guy and got the job done fast.

Other FYI: Two booking slots available from 8 - 12 or 12 - 4 (I think). The day of, they send a text to you so you know when they’re on their way.

Our furnace unfortunately decided it no longer wanted to cooperate so we called Romaniuk, we ended up having to get a new furnace and Tim and Logan came to install. Reception was able to get me helped within a few hours. Josh was friendly and professional. He diagnosed the problem right away, made sure I understood what was going on, and got it fixed literally better than before. (The problem was a FAST-STAT box that had been used to run only 3 wires to the smart thermostat. Josh ran 6 new wires, so now my home is A/C ready and has fan control)

We have been having issues with our gas fireplace so I called Romaniuk yesterday to see if they could help. I was impressed that they were able to send a technician to our house today. As promised, they called about 30 mins ahead to let me know the tech was on his way. Julian arrived and very quickly determined that our remote and receiver was defective. He made a few calls and headed out to pick-up the parts. Julian cleaned up our fireplace and had everything working very quickly. He was able to answer my questions and offer tips and advice.
It is nice to have a reliable, knowledgeable source to help us out with our gas operated equipment. I am pleased that everything was resolved within the day. One less thing to worry about.

I had great service from Scott D today, thank you! He did an inspection on my furnace and made sure to take the time to explain what he did and possible next steps as my unit nears the end of its life.

I had these guys put in a new AC unit for us. The installers showed up right on time were Super firendly and helpful. They did an amazing job of the installation l. Everything was clean and very well laid out. They cleaned up thier mess spotlessly. They answered all my questions and ran me through everything. I couldnt asl for better service.

Not happy with company's response time had ac and furnaces done have not finished job were supposed to come back to finish job in July called multiple times no ones reached out to finish job still owe me ac cover as well it's getting harder and harder to recommend this company very disappointed.

Ken was absolutely fantastic! Another company tried to tell me the part needed to fix my furnace was backordered & could take up to 6 months to arrive, so tried to push a $6000+ new furnace installation. Ken quickly found the issue, explained different options in a manner that was understandable, and saw that although the part was listed as "backordered", the estimated arrival date would have been the next day. He called the office and found they actually had the part I needed. But rather than saying he'd get it and come back tomorrow, he dropped everything, picked it up, and came back to install it immediately! The entire process - investigating the issue, looking for parts, making phone calls, driving across town and back, installing the part, testing for both heating and cooling, and cleaning up afterwards - took less than 3 hours & saved me thousands of dollars! He was extremely polite, professional, respectful, and I never felt pressured to do any unnecessary work or buy into extended warranties beyond what was needed. A true class-act, would highly recommend!

John was on time and very professional, he knows his stuff! Just did maintenance on the HVAC this time with some advice to improve the cooling to the top floor. Romaniuk, you need to give John a raise $$$

Brent provided EXCELLENT customer service from start to finish He is personable, courteous, and communicates clearly about the service he will be providing. I happened to mention how the past winter was hard for me due to some breathing problems and Brent respectfully let me know of a whole house air purifier that would help make a difference and gave me the information and pricing (without any pushy sales tactic) that my spouse and I needed to make our decision to have it installed the same day, which was an add-on to the scheduled annual furnace & AC maintenance. Brent's desire and goal to provide the best possible customer service and satisfaction is very evident. Thank you Brent from Joanna for your fine service. It was a pleasure to meet you. If you're available next year for our annual heating/cooling maintenance, I hope to see you again - I will definitely put in a request for you.

The technician who responded to my call was John C. John was courteous, professional, informative and performed his duties above my expectations. He not only troubleshot the Heat Pump, its interconnections at the outside unit, the furnace as well as the thermostat, but supplied me with a copy of my 10 years old furnace User Manual, and explained in details the smart Thermostat functions. He also cross referenced the Heat Pump Outside Unit, and the inside Evaporator Coil, and searched for the applicable AHRI number required for the City of Edmonton HERA program. Best technician that visited my house to date.

I can’t review this company’s workmanship as I did not use them. However, they blocked my driveway for the entire day with their van & tools. A few minutes is one thing, unload your tools and go park somewhere else next time.

We bought A/C from them. Today August 13! They showed up at 8 AM and got all done by230. Adam and his crews, nice and very friendly. He did fixed extras stuff for us with no extra charges. Keep up a great service guys.

Sales team was awesome to deal with. The install team did a job but not a nice job at first. I had to escalate to get the new furnace square and level, the ac install looked great. A 1 day job booked for 2 days took 4 days to complete. On top of that I had 6 hours of cleaning to complete as wood chips, metal shavings and concrete were not cleaned up. It's working and doing the job it needs to do and looks good in the end.

Sales was friendly, Unit was installed in a day and was clear on installation. However AC is still not working. I was told I would not be charged until they could get things working. After a couple days a service tech was sent out and was told the furnace circuit board needs to be replaced. This is fine and out of their control. However I have since been charged for the AC install (charged on June 20th) even though I still do not have a working unit which I am not happy with. At this point its a waiting game hoping Romaniuk will get the part in and that it is not the only issue. Meanwhile I am out 6500 dollars.

UPDATE:

Still no part, still no AC. Tried contacting andrew, never got a callback

5 weeks we’ve been waiting for a part or a return phone call or any kind of update…NOTHING! AC was installed in a timely manner, no idea if or when to expect a left sided coil. At this point the unit is just a really expensive paper weight attached to our house.

Update-Thank you so much for rectifying the issues Andrew, I appreciate your honesty. We now have working air conditioning, we have and will continue to recommend Romaniuk Heating & Air Conditioning to our friends.

Ryan attended to residence to clean my A/C Unit which had never been done (properly) since installation several years ago. Normally Duct cleaning firms have provided an A/C provision (for more money of course). I had this service done back in the spring however I recently took off one of the panels and it was obvious that any clearning they had done was minimal at most. The fins were full of debris, mainly fluff etc. Ryan cleaned the Unit properly, from top to bottom. I even had him re-calibrate my thermostat to my satisfaction. This fellow knows his business; he was most cordial, arrived on time and even suggested future cleaning (s) and appropriate times. Charges were more than reasonable and I will certainly use Romaniuks in the future to complete this task. I should also note that Romaniuks installed this Unit but also our HP Furnance. Great job Ryan and thanks again.

John, from Romaniuk right properly and doesn't an excellent job and junior all my heating needs. He was tired and carpet in August sure it was a pleasure to have in the house or this coming winter tuneup. We will certainly use John and Romanik in the future.

Called to book a appointment 3 weeks ago for August 9th10 AM and no one showed up or called. Called them they said they called me August 8th to rebook noone called or left a voice mail. Rearranged my day for them very unprofessional

Well Imust say this is "THE" best experience we have had through-out our house renovations that started last Feb.
Lyal and Shawn installed our new furnace and air conditioner with perfection. Well mannered, worked hard, very professional and cleaned up their mess without having to be asked.

My Furnace fan had stopped working. Romaniuk sent out Scott D.to service our furnace and upon inspection he found that the heat exchangers were beyond repair and said we needed a new furnace. This was not too surprising given the age of the furnace, 42 years old.
Scott was both professional and personal and did a great job.

Just had Scott D in our home to do a diagnostic, as our furnace was acting up. Scott arrived on time and was very friendly and courteous. He took the time to explain what he was looking for and the possible issues, as he explored the furnace.

We had our furnace shut down on us, called Romaniuk to help us get it fixed. Jerry Holot came by this morning, it was great to have him here, super friendly person. He knew exactly what he was doing, and was very caring about each and everything. He took his time and thought to look through all the parts of furnace, got it back running for us. It feels good to have heat back in this freezing temperature Thank you Jerry! Hopefully it doesn't shut down on us next time, but if it does we know whom to call.

Offered an appointment within 24 hours of calling for a non-urgent issue. Justin came out and had our furnace up and running in no time. Offered to explain things along the way and provided practice advice. Would recommend.

Service tech was professional and very well knowledgeable in the repair required. The problem was quickly identified and the cost for the repair was was made clear me. Before the repair was carried out, the technician performed a complete inspection of the entire furnace prior to replacement of the part necessary. The technician also cleaned the furnace interior during the process.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone required furnace repairs.

My parent's heater quit working while they were out of the country. Scott quick fixed the problem then helped my dad to reconnect his app and reprogram the thermostat. I appreciate that he went above and beyond to help my parents with the extra stuff and gave them a sense security when they where unable to do it themselves.

Scott was awesome. I had a service tech from another company out twice to fix a no heat situation. That was my mistake. Scott did a thorough job troubleshooting the furnace and identified the issue. Gave my tenant and I a very detailed explanation of what the issue was and how it could be prevented in the future. As a landlord, I'm happy to know that I can call Romaniuk to get the job done right on the first call!

Kevin came out and gave us an estimate to replace our old furnace and install an air conditioner. He was very knowledgeable, quote was competitive so we decided to go ahead with this.
Jared and Lyall came and replaced the furnace and installed the new air conditioner. They were very professional, very helpful and kept us informed and led us thru the operation. They removed all the old material, upgraded the chimney for the hot water heater, installed a new thermostat and cleaned up perfectly.

Jerry was very professional and really helped me understand the settings necessary for the proper operation of the heating system. I really appreciate the time he took to explain everything and make sure the furnace was operating as efficiently as possible.

I got a whole new furnace system replaced last Friday. I got quotes through 4 different company's and romaniuk had the best value and what I think was the best quality of them all. Mike and Richard performed the installation. There work was top notch. They did an amazing job, they where quick and tidy. I was very impressed with all aspects of the work they preformed. And it was no easy task upgrading a 50 year old furnace. I Would recommend to anyone needing a furnace upgrade.

Fantastic work and journeyman experience that shows! Here’s why we’re glad we used Romaniuk.
We got three quotes for our replacement furnace and air conditioning. All were pretty close in price. BUT
Romaniuk was the only firm that actually sent an HVAC journeyman to give the estimate. The others sent a salesman or sales woman.
Chris with Romaniuk was the only company that actually spent the time to do a proper house heat loss calculation and needs discussion with us (that saved us money). Not just a quick once over and a sales pitch.
Rather than send out some “installers” the friendly Romaniuk crew, Tyler and Raff were certified journeymen as an electrician and an HVAC refrigeration mechanic.
They showed up when they said they would and took the time to do a careful, excellent job. (they even cleaned up after themselves).
They explained the new thermostat and equipment to us and now we have the peace of mind knowing they stand behind their work and our new furnace/AC.

As a first time home owner I've never had to call on anyone for repairs when anything was on the fritz, so understandably I was nervous to have to call someone when my house was pumping frigid air making my house feel more like an igloo than a warm haven to relax in. Scott arrived and totally put me at ease. He was knowledgeable and friendly and him and my dog really hit it off so I have no choice but to leave a 5 star review. I'll definitely be using this company again when my ancient furnace likely breaks down within a year. Scott is an excellent technician. He's incredibly friendly and great to chat with, and he walked me through everything he was doing and his diagnosis on my furnace. The actual repair appointment was painless and quick, and I have heat again! He was also great at explaining all of my options for my fairly old furnace and helped me weigh the cost benefit of a repair vs a replacement with no pressure to swing either way. An excellent experience, and I will be sure to use Romaniuk again!

Everything was done in time and fast now remain to see how long it's going to last the new condenser?

We needed to replace the garburator in the kitchen as well as the fill valve in one of the toilet tanks. Cody arrived within the scheduled timeframe, was polite and very professional. He even called to apologize for taking longer to get back with the needed supplies because he was held up in traffic by the train. He completed the required work and tested them with me. The working areas were cleaned and there was no mess left behind. I would call this company again for any future plumbing needs.

From start to finish had a great experience with this company. Matt came in and went through options with me for the estimate, answered all my questions and kept in touch until we made our decision. Installers Darrien and Troy arrived on schedule and sweated it out for two days as this did not seem like it was an easy furnace and AC install given the configuration of our ceiling and deck. They made it work, cleaned up so well, answered all my questions and were friendly throughout. I felt at any time I could call the company and get service or a question answered without any hassle. Cody and Dave provided maintenance service on our ac and tankless hot water heater. They were thorough and explained what to watch for to minimize problems in the future. I would not hesitate to use Romaniuk again and recommend them for servicing your heating and ac systems.

During the worst time of this abnormally hot season, our AC started leaking refrigerant gas and the replacement parts were not readily available. We went through a bit of hassle to finally have our AC repaired, but the amazing end-to-end customer service that Melanie provided really helped us keep our "cool" (pun intended). She was on top of everything, extremely helpful and responsive, proactive in actioning our concerns, kept us up to date on changing statuses, arranging urgent appointments to deal with emerging issues, and followed up with us every step of the way to ensure our customer satisfaction. The level of genuine attention and care Melanie provided totally made us feel like true valued customers. Darrien and Troy also did a quick and fantastic job replacing our coil after the first coil replacement exhibited a crack and was leaking water continuously. Great service and amazing customer care is why we continue to choose Romaniuk for ALL our heating and cooling needs!

My girlfriend and I recently moved into a house and were having issues with our AC unit and thermostat, i had been referred to romaniuk bu my parents who had AC, hot water, and furnace installed. I called and made an appointment and explained on the phone what was happening with our system, they gave me a few potential issues that could be causing my problems noting that it could be the thermostat that needed replacing, the tech came out and was very helpful, i was not able to be at the house when he came and he was able to talk to me over the phone, it ended up being a fairly simple fix and a price much lower than i was expecting given the issues. Very happy with the service. System is running great now.

I wanted to get an AC installed so I decided to reach out to them because of the great reviews I had seen online Well, they lived up to it! Kevin came to assess my home and helped me decide the best product for my home; he also answered all the questions I had. Aaron also connected with me to follow up and answer all otger questions I had. I was eventually convinced to give them a try and I am glad I did. On the day of the install, Harley and Sean did an amazing job. Theybwere very professional, very clean (they even brought a carpet so they don't make any mess and cleaned up afterwards). They showed me how everything worked and explained how to maintain it over the winter. A few days later, Steve came over to help me ensure cold air was getting to the second floor. Overall, they did a great job. From the moment I called them to inquire about ACs to after it was installed, they were very responsive and their customer care is on point, respectful and cordial. I would encourage anyone who would like to get air-conditioning installed to choose Romaniuk.

My appointment was cancelled without my knowledge. I was then advised that I asked them to do it however no call. No voicemail was left for me to confirm, I waited and called since no one showed, and they had no record of my appointment for the day. Very unprofessional.

The entire process started with a real positive experience with Jeff in Sales (and Jeff's superiors). Very personable but also very knowledgeable in his craft based on his prior experience in the field. Prior to installation Jeff was available for questions. Install started on the exact day and time promised which is unfortunately rare in todays world.
Sean and Darrien showed up ready to work. They also had Andre with them on a ride along. All 3 gentlemen got straight to work. As per typical the install exposed its share of surprises, which the gentlemen figured out quickly and efficiently. The work was done very well. I myself am very particular on how things get completed. Straight lines, clean finishing are critical and these gentlemen did the work perfectly. I would highly recommend Romaniuk if you like high quality and no headaches.

Mike and Reece did a great job with installing both A/C unit and the garage heater. They persisted through the heat and the struggles an older house presents and got the job done in a day. I am very satisfied with their work ethic. They walked me through everything and also made sure each unit was working 100% before they left.

This is the first time I have used Romaniuk. I did my research for a 2nd air conditioner (2 furnaces) by reviewing best A/C manufacturers and getting quotes from 3 companies. Due to the high demand for A/C's this hot summer, appointments for quotes took a long time. The sales rep Jeff came to the house on July 30 to provide the estimate and his technical knowledge was obvious due to his past experience & training in heating & A/C. He assessed my needs and provided a competitive quote for a Lennox A/C (one of the leading brand names). Romaniuk also stood out with their various guarantees along with a Costco rebate that made the decision to go with them easy. The installation was done on Aug 16 by Darrien/Brody. Due to space limitations beside the existing A/C, the 2nd A/C had to be placed on the other side of the fence. Both guys did an excellent job with the installation including a decision to expand the existing access hole through the concrete rather than drilling a 2nd hole. The furnace room and pathway through the house was kept clean during & after the installation. Overall, my experience with Romaniuk thus far is a 10/10 and I look forward to working with them on any maintenance/repairs in the future.

Great company, with professional and knowledgeable staff. Lee and Vasim were on time for the install. The work was done cleanly and even though there were hiccups (not their fault) they were able to find solutions in a timely manner. Beginning to finish was perfection and we really enjoyed how personable Lee was. Very down to earth and kind, explaining the system and how to use it, as well as how to clean the outdoor portion of the system if needed. I would highly recommend this company.

Best Service! When our AC did not work after the first day a technician came out within an hour of calling and fixed the issue, that was not due to install but rather an original part from the furnace. Highly Recommend Romaniuk!
