Iconic rink of Airdrie with the twin sheets of ice, gold and blue. The change rooms are big, restaurant/bar upstairs, lots of seating, concession stand, skate sharpening all there
Good clean and fun arena for all ages. The only issue is for the kids teams, the change rooms are very unorganized. Often teams will not look at the TVs, and just pick a room which makes a chain reaction of chaos for every team that follows.
It's a pokemon gym with difficult parking, especially if there is anyone there. The spawns here are pretty good but good luck if you have to do a raid while the parking lot is full.
No concession open, the vending machine ate my toonie, I couldn't get from the spectators viewing area to the players dressing room to give my son a drink and people were standing outside the front door smoking after the game. We had to walk through it and it was disgusting. The heat worked which was a positive.
When the heaters are on this twin arena is pretty great. Be warned you'll have spotty cell phone service though! Otherwise a great place for community sports.
Nice facility that does its job well; concession on the main floor and lounge upstairs. Blue ice is the best - you can really get the tunes pumpin' on Blue.
Big parking lot. Adequate seating foir the age of the arena. Noticed the rink we were in DID NOT have wheelchair access to watch the hockey game. Wheelchair access to the rinks just not to view the game.
The arena was clean and tidy. We went with the school so no one else was around and the concession wasn't open so I can't comment on those. Otherwise my kids had fun skating!
