Generally a pretty seamless process. Staff was friendly and answered questions knowledgeably.

Sales guy (Carter) was clueless throughout the process, and generally lacked professionalism. Also, a sales manager offered us a free oil change if we left a 5 star review, which seems to be in poor taste.

My (new) car was transferred over from an out of town dealership and driven for 250km, and when I received the car, I noticed a squeak in the cabin whenever I went over bumps in the road. A decent dealer would've noted this issue during the drive, and rectified it prior to handing the car over to me.

Their finance dept also messed up and put in my rate at 5.99% instead of 5.49%, which is what it was supposed to be. I asked them to change my loan amortization period from 60 months (@ 5.99%) to 36 months (5.49%), and they neglected to update the interest rate on the paperwork. Make sure you read your contracts over carefully.

Amazing service. Had a few small issues that were taken care of immediately with zero hassle.

My husband and I had taken a few days to look for a used vehicle for myself and time after time we were subjected to all negative “used car salesman” cliches. Our expectation were low when we finally walked in the door of Ron Hodgson but Bo immediately put us at ease. We never felt pressured, lied to or rushed. What a wonderful breath of fresh air! Wish we could give them 6 stars. They will definitely be our first stop next time we are looking for a vehicle.

I always choose Ron Hodgson Chev service. Always a great atmosphere and happy employees that always greet you Everytime you drive in. Vanessa and the service team always get the job done quick and right.

I was quoted $169 to have my tires swapped & balanced, when I went to pay my bill there was a $20 shop fee that was never mentioned. I asked the cashier at the desk what it was for & she said “ l don’t know? ”, rags? She was not interested or knowledgeable about the charge & it showed. So it was $190 with the unexplained fee, $20 for a rag and you don’t need a rag to swap tires over. I won’t be back, that coupled with the rude attitude while paying is enough. I’ve always stuck with the dealership but not after this.

It’s what your would expect from a car dealer but everyone was friendly and happy to help. Small dealer feel for sure which I like. I originally went in to look for a truck earlier in the summer. I explained what I wanted and they didn’t have anything in stock or on route. My salesman was very young but very committed. I’m not always the easiest to deal with but he did a good job representing his dealership while letting me go at my own pace. They ended up finding the exact truck I wanted coming into stock in several weeks and called and invited me back to make a deal. Had a deal done the next day. I have bought several new vehicles, and in my experience, dealerships always show their true colours in the years after a sale. I am cautiously optimistic they will continue to provide good service. That will definitely make or break whether we re up my wife’s vehicle there in a few years.

Team members were friendly, efficient and accommodating. The customer lounge was great too, clean, comfortable and had good coffee! Super experience!

11/10. The staff at R. Hodgson deliver the industry standard in customer service. They found me the exact truck I wanted, did all the upgrades I wanted, for the best possible deal, all with a smile on their faces. I specifically dealt with Danny, James, and Randy, but everyone at the store is an absolute gen. There was no request too big or too small. They handle everything with care and respect. If you are in the market for a GM product, I wouldn't trust anyone else.

The front desk lady was very polite, the waiting time was decent and they used seat protection and a piece of cardboard for rubber mat.

Brought in a vehicle from out of town while we had to be here for a few days for other business. They fit us in right away and had the issue fixed in a more than reasonable time for a fair price. Their communications were great and the staff were very helpful and friendly!

I highly recommend buying a vehicle from Ron Hodgson. I went to 5 different dealerships before stopping by here, and I was so impressed with their staff. Danny, Craig, and Mike were excellent. I felt zero pressure to buy here. They were very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional.

They only get a four star rating because the service they try to push on you is a joke.swear it's part of the job because the transmission flush and diff oils they recommend need to be done was done just over 5k ago so beware its part of the preprint part on your invoice

My sales person Ramid reached out to me in regards to outstanding chips that were not installed when purchase and directed me in how to go about getting it done.
He went further (with my consent) to arrange an appointment for the install.

Travelling through the Edmonton area, my wife and I found ourselves stranded with a power steering pump failure the night prior to visiting the Ron Hodgson service department. We are extreemly appreciative of the thoughtful response to our situation, and as a former technician I apreciate the challenges associated with sourcing the replacement component and performing the repair in support to a short notice request.

Service Department-
My spouse and I have been loyal to this dealership since he bought our truck here in 2016. Due to moving a year ago, we started going to a different dealership due to convenience. Our truck needed some bigger repairs done so we decided - why not go back to Ron Hodgson since they've been so good and honest before. Unfortunately I have to give 1 star now due to bad customer service, I made clear to them to contact me through out the process and for when the truck is done as my other half is working and won't be on his phone. What did they do? Never called me, left my spouse a voice message that one of us can pick the vehicle up, which we obviously didn't know. When I called at 5, I was told that they'll send a shuttle. The shuttle driver calls me to tell me he won't be able to pick me up due to a large amount of customers and them closing soon. Understandable in a way. Now the morning comes, and I still haven't gotten a call from the shuttle driver, even though I've called the dealership twice. Very unprofessional from the service department, and definitely lacking proper communication with their customers. Next time we are definitely taking our business back to Sherwood Park Chevrolet.

Unreal dealership, pop by and ask for Bo, he'll go out of his way to find you what you need. Good kid, he'll work out a good deal for yeah!

If you need a used/new car Randy is a pleasure and a joy to deal with he is knowledgeable and is not pushy like some of the sales people I have dealt with over the years (not at Ron Hodgson). Ludwig is my fairy finance father he is amazing he is a joy to be around.

One to the things that i love about Ron Hodgson is that every time I go in I am treated like family and with dignity and respect. I have been to other dealerships with friends and i see how they are treated and spoke too because they are women this NEVER happens at Ron Hodgson which is a testimate to the owner.

If I could, I would give the sales department a 5-star rating while zero or negative for the service department. I purchased my car there and had all the maintenance done there. Mike, Gord, and Craige were all wonderful people to work with. There is a good shuttle service to take you home while the service department is working on your vehicle. However, I was disappointed as all of the possible inspection and part expenses in the service department were not clearly explained. I felt that the service department employees I dealt with were unwelcoming and disinterested in my concerns. Additionally, in my experience, I suppose the technicians do not take very much care when working. For example, one of them scratched the infotainment system. I would go there if I wanted to buy another GM vehicle, however, I do not suggest the service department. I am hoping to see some improvements in the services provided by the service department.

Randy was a fantastic salesman right from the start, always available to answer any question I had, or to update me on the location of my shipped vehicle almost daily.the truck is excellent as well. Very smooth. They put my family and I in a hotel because we weren't local, and when there was a small hiccup with the payout, they rectified the issue instantly. I would definately recommend this dealership to anyone. Fantastic experience

So we took my dad's Yukon as we were having trouble turning it and backing it up. We met with Shawn Garrett. He helped us to figure out the problem. The car had been left in 4 wheel drive over the winter. He didn't make us feel bad about our mistake. He was kind. I appreciated his help and the help of the nice lady in front who also helped us.
It's pretty obvious we know nothing about cars but it's a good thing that Shawn Garrett does know the Yukon.

Would like to put no stars but don't have that option. After spending over 200k since 2015 at this store, they have gone through some employees. I go in to purchase an oil filter and an air filter. Different parts guy's at the counter, no problem. Try and bring up my last purchase of the same nature and zero success. Like I didn't even shop there. Tried to tell the parts guy what I paid for the last ones and all I got was, No way, Impossible. I under stand there might be a slight price increase since I bought them 6 months ago but he wanted to charge me the full price. I walked out empty handed. I guess maybe you need spend 1million over the course of 6 years to actually have a known account and maybe a fixed discount rate. It's to bad. Just when you think that you have created some sort of relationship with the company, its like you never existed. Well you don't have to worry about seeing my face in there again for a new vehicle, parts or service. Maybe by someone reading this they will change there way they treat there valued customers. They could of have another 200k in sales over the course of the next 5 years but instead I will take my business to a different Chevy/GMC dealer. There are many that are close.

I brought my truck (GMC) in for an inspection and maintenance job. I knew there was a few things to do on the truck. They found the same issues as I did. They were able to fix them all the same day. Jacinda was there all the way, very professional. A1 communication skills!

No impressed with price of an oil change 40 dollars more than prince George and had to wait 1.5 hours

Lucas (Service) and Travis (Tech) always show such amazing first class service! They are highly professional and respectful to me whenever I bring my vehicle in for repairs, and I always know that the work being done on my car is fair and done RIGHT. Would highly recommend going through both of them for all your vehicle needs!

I have been sending my vehicles to her for several years even before she moved to Ron Hodgson's and I will carry on doing so - honest, direct and reliable and bribable for a coffee with 2 milk and 2 sweetener!

I don't have a Gm vehicle but always take my car to Lucas and avoid the other grease balls out there!

Could not recommend their service department enough! Rod was very helpful and professional. I dropped off my Tahoe in the morning and he ensured everything was done properly and on time. I really appreciate the great customer service!

Service department is in shambles. When I got quoted new tires they were significantly more expensive then anywhere. Wanted 3M done? Again significantly more expensive. Was told they price match when given pricing which meant to me they price their product higher then anyone. Took multiple visits to dealership just to have my 3M finished properly. Don't worry they said heres a free oil change for all the issues.
Now today I needed service done. Couldn't get a shuttle when booking the service appointment. Wasn't provided any options for getting to work. Then I was told I needed to pay $165 x 4 just for diagnosing some issues. One was a recurring issue they have failed to fix. One was a light on my dash. No consideration provided for being slightly over my extended warranty KM's from working out of town.
Service department lacks any customer service aspect.
I'd avoid this service department unless you like over paying for your services/products.

Excellent service from everyone I dealt with at Ron Hodgson, especially Ramid. My factory order truck experience was perfect & with zero issues because of Ramid! Extremely happy with my new truck!

We have nothing but issue with Ron Hodgson. When we originally bought our truck in 2016, the paint chipped instantly. This was due to a VERY poor job. Ron Hodgeson refused to help, and told us this was on us, as we must have driven behind a rock truck. The way this chips on the paint are you can tell 100% this is due to a VERY POOR PAINT JOB. We now have no AC in our truck. This is due to an AC RECALL FOR ALL 2014 - 2017. Today they wanted us to pay to have a diagnostic test, and will not fix this recall. POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Only nice when they want us to spend money on a new vehicle.

This afternoon I had a great experience at Ron Hodgson. The staff was friendly welcoming and knowledgable about their vehicles and the current vehicle market.
Randy was very helpful in directing me towards the right vehicle for what I need. Randy took the time to explain every option about the truck to me and go through the Carfax report and all of the maintenance records for the vehicle.
Ludwig & their finance team were exceptional to deal with and very knowledgable about all options. I’m very happy with my Silverado. And would recommend checking these guys out to anyone!

Repost: I am changing my rating to 5 stars. I made a post 3 weeks prior being disappointed. Afterwards the manager contacted me to correct the dissatisfaction I had and they've been really great, mailed the new oil change cards to me and even followed up. They really do care about giving great service. Highly recommend, I feel confident everytime I leave there that my car is in good condition and that I'm taken care of
Previous post: Really happy with getting my car serviced today. A bit disappointed in the sales department though. Because I got 2 free oil changes with the sale of my vehicle from gm, and 2 free with the dealership. The gm oil changes only go up to 24,000km and the 2 free from the dealership expire in a year which means I wouldn't be able to use them all unless I just got oil changes more frequently than needed so. Feeling a little ripped off with my purchase now

The service department never dissapoints. My family and I always bring our vehicles there and we are always happy with the service. Last time I was assisted by Rodrigo and he was very professional and helpful. I will definitely be going back

Had a wonderful experience getting my vehicle serviced at Ron Hodgson. Rodrigo was extremely patient and accommodating, keeping me updated every step of the way. I would definitely recommend their service department to anyone.

This place has absolutely no regard for customers time. I've given them more than a few chances to redeem themselves but every time it's worse and worse. Booking an appointment is completely useless. I had my tires changed over, I booked an appointment and it still took 2 hours to complete. The tires are already on their own rims and everything so it should be a quick switch. Save yourself the time and grief and go somewhere else. And if it's anything more complex then the time frame is even longer and an appointment time is meaningless.

The best dealership around! I just purchased my second car from Randy. He was absolutely fantastic. He made the buying experience super comfortable. No pressure at all and really went the extra mile for me. When I bought my first car I was nervous and scared. My financial situation wasn't great but the finance team made the impossible happen. My second purchase was the exact same friendliness and genuine give a s*** from these guys and I got my dream car. They made it happen for me. Shout out to Randy in sales and Mike in finance, you won't find 2 better guys out there! They always treated me with respect and were 100% open and honest!

During this last cold spell, I, like so many others, had some trouble starting my car. The service department at Ron Hodgson was able to fit me in right away. I was able to do a contactless night-time drop off so they could do a cold start in the morning and find out what was causing the problem. And, even though the issue was caused by a relatively simple malfunction that I would never have thought to diagnose myself, they were able to get my car in ship shape driving condition by addressing an afterthought concern of mine all within the quoted time frame!
