Really nice having a hardware store close to home, but being it's a smaller store, often are lacking all the items that are in the other big stores like Sunridge. Today I was wanting Irrigation supplies. Nope.
Richard was such a lifesaver helping us source laminate flooring for a massive project we have in another province. The store was BUSY and he was nothing short of efficient and professional through and through. We so appreciated your help today, Richard! Thank you!
A great Rona Express store I have frequented since the early 90s when it was a Totem Building supply Store. The store dose not have a huge selection a products like wearhouse Rona but has a warm family feel and free popcorn. Just about everything you need is there.
I go here often. It's a very small "big box" hardware store, so selection is limited. However, you can get most generic hardware items here, and you can in and out quickly. Lots of parking, and friendly staff. They DO have a lumber yard as well
Pretty typical items for a Rona, the inside of the store was pretty dusty/dirty though. The customer service was also pretty mediocre, lots of customers were walking around looking for stuff but no one really offered any assistant or asked anyone if they needed help. Even the cashier sounded miserable.
Horrible service. I just bought the pressure washer from them, and it was broken. They refused to do anything because I didn’t buy the extended warranty from them. Never in my years in Canada that you can’t not return the broken machine to the store. Stay away from them
Staff by door. 6 mowers is all you had. I asked to see electric and the ones 20 feet from you were clearly gas.still staff at tools? Great people. Great service
Himanshi, you are the nicest, sweetest girl. Thank you so much for helping me find my credit card. You could have easily not bothered. But you kept looking and found it. You’re so amazing and i thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Rona off Edmonton Trail is extremely handy. Employees are friendly and helpful. Store is smaller but will have everything you need. Would highly recommend if you're in the area, go check it out.
I love coming to this Rona for all my purchases most of the staff is very friendly and they normally have what I need. If it wasn’t for the older guy in the yard that’s toothless who gives everyone attitude and smells like a brewery. I would have given this store a 5* review but I think he likes picking fights. I do wanna give a shout out to Jen for always helping me when I’m inside. Also that big guy in the yard, likes joking around and try’s to make experience great one. I will come back because of them.
Great welcome and customer service. Nice quick visit in and out due to its smaller size. Found everything I needed. Will return for other needs. It’s also conveniently by the bottle depot and close to my house.
It was my first time coming to this location and I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for, the customer service rep, sent me to the yard. Braden in the yard was extremely helpful and even gave me some suggestions I never even considered. It saved me some money too as the way I was going to do it. Braden had helped and guided me the entire way, and was friendly and he even did cuts and helped load my vehicle with the lumber and concrete. I will defiantly be coming back again. Great Dance moves. Glad to see people are still having fun during these times.
My boyfriend and I came here and purchased a fan during the heat wave. When we got home, the fan was not working. It was weird. My boyfriend waited awhile to turn the fan on and it finally started working. Eventually, at the last leg of the heat wave, the fan had stopped working. We went this past weekend to return it. First they decided to test the fan to make sure it wasn't working. Then the manager didn't even bother to talk to my boyfriend about the issue. They wouldn't return the fan claiming that my boyfriend should call the fan company and ask for a refund and then come back to Rona to tell them we need a refund (it sounded dumb and confusing) Apparently it is Rona's policy *shoulder shrug* Anyways, next day my boyfriend went to Rona on Sunridge. They returned it no questions asked or testing done.
Not sure what's happening here, but customer service is poor.
I visited this place 3 times, and in each of the visits cashiers and staff are not nice and helpful at all. They seem to be tired of answering questions. Hopefully they improve customer service.
The toilet seat I bought was really comfy, it fit perfectly and my girlfriend really enjoyed it aswell. I asked and employee for help and he brought me to the back of the store then awnsered all my questions. He was a great help but I dont know why we went back there.
Moderate inventory selection. The store feels cramped and only adequately organized. The weekends are busy which makes the store feel smaller. Expect an okay experience.
Consistently super helpful staff when I go there. And not phoney about it. Personally I enjoy the joking around when at the till. I always leave smiling with my purchase.
Seller was too nice but lacking knowledge. The retaining well they sold me and delivered were actually missing the corners, that Ive clearly asked if I could build a corner with those pieces. It took me another hour to go to the store and manually load the corner pieces as the major delivery was done already. Second issue was that, part of the order wasn't delivered. Bowness guys told they refund in the next day (cant confirm veracity). Like 7 days later they could not figure out how to process a refund of $100 bucks. So I did call back and forward with the delivery team and although they did not said anything, I felt that they were not being able to handle with Edmonton store and requested me to call the manager. When trying to communicating with the Manager in Edmonton, he requested me an invoice for the refund and that I should take it to the store. If they always request another RONA to delivery, they should have this channel between them to solve things, not asking customer for intermediate. Suggestion? Buy straight from Bowness.
Don’t bother. I was looking for a product that you can normally find anywhere. For whatever reason it cannot be found in the city. The Rona website said it was available, so I ordered online with an Eta. First ETA is missed and order is pushed. Same as the 2nd. Third update indicates my order was processing in Calgary. After waiting a couple of days and not hearing anything I stopped by the store. Clerk looked at my order and advised it would not be ready for another two weeks because of “inventory”? I’m not sure what that means? The phone rang, he walks away. Completes his call then starts doing something else? So I guess the conversation was over? I was able to get his attention again to cancel my order. Which he did very efficiently. Great job Rona guy!
Service is usually good but this time the service guy made an assumption about the hose I had in my hand and just said they don't have what I need, a basic dishwasher hot water hose. A customer showed me where the hoses were and found the fitting I needed. Two stars because at least the other customer was helpful.
The lumber guy are awesome, they went out of there way to load me and did a few cuts of some ply for me on short notice.the store feels a bit cramped but the staff are phenomenal.
There was 3 employees not wearing masks here. 1 didn’t even have one on his person and was well within 1 meter of many employees and some customers. 2 other employees had there masks pulled down to their necks. Will take my business to a more professional hardware store like Home Depot. The extra 10 minute drive will be well worth it
It was great when we were looking for a garden hose a staff member helped us out without us asking and when we had another question we asked another staff member and he helped us out it
Hard to find people but usually the case with these and lowes and home depot. But also slightly frustrating they don't carry items like assorted o rings and flat washers.
I honestly love the service here. I came to pickup my woods today. Again, I was impressed with the service. Kate was super helpful. The gentleman the lumber gate was very friendly. It is very pleasant to come to this location. Thank you everyone.
Pathetic experience. * Only 1 till open on a Saturday = 20+ minute wait to try to process a $6.07 return. * 'Cashier' can't process return and asks me to go in another wait line to obtain some kind of voucher, and then to come back in the monster line when that's done. * When I tell him I don't want to wait in any line for this return, he gives me the 'power head shake and sigh' attitude and use a tone of voice that no-one should EVER use in this situation. * Turns out the 'cashier' is the Customer Service Manager - Jared. This clown never took ownership of the situation, blamed his equipment, the procedures and myself for what is obviously a blatant lack of customer service skills and professionalism on his part.
The customer service desk at this store is the best! I have to built a device in order to make an art project, and they were so so helpful by finding out what I needed, what I needed it for, then making the pieces by sawing a metal rod into the right lengths, and also making sure I had the right size eye hooks! They are happy and helpful every time I shop here and they help make it easy to accomplish what I need to do. Thank you again for all your help, I really appreciate it!
This store does not abide by the city of calgary by-laws and serves people without a mask on even though there were multiple other people asking for the 2 patrons to put on a mask. I left the store when a nice 70ish year old lady, said she'd never shop at the store again due to their ability to follow simple protocol and I understand it's not a the job for cashiers to have additional demands. No shirt, no service policies have been in place for decades, but they cannot enforce a new by-law. Put up a sign at the cashier that says, "We will not serve you if you aren't wearing a mask, no exceptions". If it weren't for the former Totem location that Rona took over, i'd probably go somewhere else.
Staff was helpful and friendly except when I got to the checkout and Frances gave me attitude when I asked to give my air miles after she scanned my items since she didn’t ask earlier for it
Great little lumber yard. The store staff is decent - some of them have been working there since the Totem days, which says something about their dedication. It's unfortunate though that our hardware stores are all becoming one and the same with very little variety and choice.
Asked the lady at the till if she had a certain item in stock as I had seen it on the website, she pretty much bit my head off saying "we don't have it, what do you think we carry everything on the website" after embarrassing me in front of the other customers she turned away and ignored me. Absolutely shocking customer service, I live very close but will never return!
Really poor customer service. I have been trying to get a hold of them for 3 days to cancel an order they are late on, even leaving phone messages to call me back, but have not heard anything. I though I would give them a try rather than Home Depot, learned my lesson.
Dirty run down store. Not staffed properly. I went to pickup my online order and no one picked up the phone. I proceeded to go into the store and was told that only one person was working. Told the young guy at the cash register my order number and he advised he couldn’t give it to me as he didn’t now how to operate the fork lift and the yard was closed. Shouldn’t the yard close at the same time as the store? Overall one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. Definitely not going back here.
I went to get some metal paint which was easy to find. The cashier could have been a little friendlier since it wasn't very busy she seemed to want to get the customers out as fast as possible.
