RONA Edmonton (Southside)

So many businesses lack customer service.
On December 27,2023, I walked into the store looking for tub fixture, I was directed over to Pat.
Pat came over instantly to assist me, we walked over to the display of the tub fixture. Found what I needed, with bonus explanation.
Pat was phenomenal while assisting me.
He even had 3 seniors waiting patiently for him as he spoke to me.
Rona, treat your workers well, they are the lifeline that keep business afloat.
Pat, keep doing what you do. You are a dying breed

I’ve been here a bunch of times but recently my experience with the help and accommodation of my requests was beyond measure. Linda was able to get me everything I needed and answered all my questions and after my initial encounter with her I was thrilled that she was working when I went back and there she was - and again didn’t disappoint. Thanks again and I’m sure I’ll see you soon!

Trying to return something, the cashier Neely was the rudest person I ever dealt with and kept telling me to go to someone else.

Normally I don’t complain or care about these things since I understand it can be stressful job but in this case it’s unbelievable and laughable how rude she was

Was helpful getting me the paint, but dropped the ball with explaining the return policy. Not sure why THEY brought it up to ME if it wasn’t relevant to my situation at all, then proceed to speak to me with condescending energy because I was confused about the info they voluntarily gave me (I never asked). So sorry for being an idiot newbie I guess. I may or may not come back in the future wouldn’t want to misunderstand something now.

This location is in the south of Edmonton. It's a corner store. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It's a great place to visit if you are planning to renovate or add something new to your house, garden, lawn or office etc. Their products are very reasonably priced. They offer discounts and promotions which are really worth looking into. They have many seasonal products which are interesting and well priced. There is plenty of free parking right in front of the store with wheelchair accessible entrance and parking spaces. The lumber/backyard staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have always had a wonderful experience at this store and would surely recommend this place.

The store is fine, the stock is pretty good. The Contractor section is great. But the ladies at the checkouts are so unfriendly, bordering on rude. Makes me hesitate to go on for my non contractor hardware items.

Smaller store but way bigger lumber yard with more selection than other big box hardware stores.well located and staff are friendly and helpful

I love this store for all my lumber needs. The lumber yard has easy access for trucks and or trailers. The folks at the Service desk are always willing help. The Yard staff, I found them to be energetic and eager to help with loading.

It's a rona, they know where I should go and I have no issues when I'm there. Only knock is I don't really find anything I'm buying on sale.

I visited the plumbing section twice today because I forgot that I needed three things on the first visit and only left with two. Both times Juan (sorry if I spelt that wrong) helped me. I am the least handy guy that I know and I'm sure the questions I asked him were silly to him. He never made me feel that way and explained everything in a very easy way. I had been putting these jobs off because I wasn't really sure how to do them but left the store feeling way more confident. Everything was just as easy as he said and I really appreciate his time and help. I have always had great service at this store in the past and is the only place I go when I need home stuff.thanks again!

They have lots of staff that are more than happy to help out. They even help each other help customers! Everything needed was in stock and priced well.

I'll give kudos to the one observant staff member at approx 550pm on July 3 who made space for me to navigate into a different aisle as her two colleagues talked in the middle of what is the straight shot from the back of the store to the front of the store. Guess you didn't see me with my 8 foot long, 2 foot wide shelves as I rolled towards you loudly with your rattling cart. Poor training or poor customer service focus, professional or personal conversations should not happen in centre of store.

First time buying online from RONA. I have previously ordered from Lowes, but their service is awful and when checking out the product is not available even though their web site indicates it is available.

I ordered a lawnmower on-line from RONA at 9h00. It was ready for curbside pickup at noon.

The box was to big to fit in my car. The employee helped me take it out of the box so it would fit in my trunk.

Rona as gained a new repeat customer.

It’s always nice to receive help in a hardware/building supply store and this Rona does not disappoint. Someone is always checking up on you and the crew at the order desk are super helpful and friendly. The gentlemen in the yard are also friendly and pleasant, even in this weltering heat. Prices are also competitive compared to other suppliers.

Customer service here is amazing! 2nd only visit and staff greeted me personally and made me feel like I was an old friend. I’ll definitely be back.

Staff make their own decisions not caring much about the actual rona policy. I was able to pull up a proof of the canadian rona policy by they didn't care!

Staff were very helpful and the person who delivered my Dry wall order phoned to advise me
Arrival time would be in 20 minutes. Sure enough he arrived on time dropped off the order in a safe.

Been there a few times. While they never seem to have enough staff the ones that helps us are always friendly and cheerful

Excellent neighborhood hardware store and lumber yard. Exceptional staff - Super Woman tracked down more packages of flooring for us that hadn't made it onto the sales floor, yet.despite tricky inventory notations on her handheld device/tracker

Went today to buy 2 empty paintcans with lids, found the cans but no lids. Asked a employee where the lids where that went with them, and instead of helping me find the other piece, he insisted on trying to sell me a lid.

First Rate Sales Guy - very helpful and on hand immediately when I got into the store. In and purchase finished in under 10 minutes. Thanks!

Very upset about only having curbside drop off with no help getting my two very heavy and awkward items up to my apartment for a senior! Discussed how different covid protocols could have been arranged to get my items at least to my apartment door in a safe manner! This was my first experience with Rona and will be my last!

I was immediately greeted and helped by Janick Kenard. He went above and beyond to ensure my experience was positive. He found me lighting in three locations, including removing and packaging a light that was on display. He prepared my invoice fully for me to take to the cashier. He was pleasant and professional throughout my visit.
The seven scounces I purchased are absolutely beautiful and very reasonable priced. I am quite delighted with my experience and product. Eith gratitude, Sharon

Way better selection than big box stores. I found closer matches to trim, millwork, bathroom hardware, and light fixtures that I need for properties I manage. We'll be Back!

Just go to RONA and look for Mr Angus.his the most accommodating staff and chatty.i love to recommend this place.

Good place for a quick items pickup.to return big items, you need to go to the back to off-load and then come to main store to get the refund.

Cashier and attendant were less than awesome and slightly more helpful than a post. Location service is going way downhill in the last couple of months. Looking for other options to take our contracting business purchases to.

Young yard staff do not take social distancing precautions for the safety of clients or themselves. The yard attendant that served us today had his mask dangling around his neck, and was in my husbands face to collect papers and signatures. We noticed we were not the only client as well that he did this with in the short time frame we were there.

Would give a worse review if I could. I purchased a garage package in store with the help of two "building expert" representatives. I was assured my package met all my requirements based on "Rona's latest building code software" (later found out there is no such software), but shame on me for not going through every item in the package with a fine toothed comb: Trusses that were provided were wrong, wall sheathing material was wrong, soffit was wrong. I didn't notice until my hired help was almost done the project. Its a re-work S-Show now as the build does not conform to my permit. The store has left me hanging and wont return emails or phone calls. Makes it very hard to want to support this Canadian company. Be better.

The staff and Management are so knowledgeable, courteous and are willing to help with any task. I was there yesterday with a number of issues and they had two plans which made my shopping experience a great success. There enthusiasm and caring approach gave me a sense of accomplishment when i finished my deck. I knew that there expertise was the reason my deck looks as good as it does.
