If you can't find what you're looking for at Lowes, you can usually find it at their sister company, Rona, which is conveniently located across the street.
Service is usually good, and the last few times that I've stopped by, someone has greeted me when I entered the store and/or wished me a good day when I left. They also used to offer free popcorn pre-pandemic (yum!) but the popcorn machine is no longer.
Prices are pretty much the same as at Lowes, give or take a few dollars most of the time.
Went in this evening for pergola making things (brackets, lumber etc). All of the staff was so nice and extremely helpful. They ended up saving us a lot of hassle as well as a lot of money and we really appreciate that! Thank you!
I recently visited this RONA store to purchase a drill machine and some other DIY equipment for my first project, and I am incredibly impressed with the quality of service that I received. From start to finish, the staff members were knowledgeable, helpful, and truly went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with my purchases.
Sandy was the first person I interacted with, and she was simply amazing. She took the time to ask me about my project and understand my needs, and then guided me through the store to pick out the most economical items for my specific requirements. Her knowledge of the products and her willingness to help me find the right tools was truly impressive, and I cannot thank her enough for her assistance.
Later on, I had the pleasure of interacting with Garry, who gave me a quick 101 course on the drill machine that I had purchased. He patiently explained how it worked, answered all of my questions, and even provided some tips and tricks for using it effectively. His expertise and guidance were invaluable, and I left the store feeling confident and excited to start my project.
Overall, I could not be more pleased with my experience at this hardware store. The staff members, especially Sandy and Garry, truly exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for high-quality tools and exceptional customer service. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to helping your customers succeed!
They called to tell me they were coming to my business within the hour and were actually there but couldn’t accommodate to wait until my business opens. Maybe they need to update the way they inform people when they are coming. Brutal customer service on the phone as well.
Great service in a small, mostly quiet location not everybody goes to! Staff are very knowledgeable and can help you out! Slightly less stock than the large locations but if they have what you need, it's a far, far better experience!
My husband and I go to Rona quite often to buy wood mostly, the service is always awsome inside as well as outside in the yard. Dean helped us a week ago he was so friendly and helpfull. Keep up the good work!
I install already privacy panels on my deck, but when i was at the Rona one realy competition sales worker helped me. He explained realy clear steps installation, and gave me good special tips. His name Dmitry.
Recent visit, I was really impressed with staff member Jeremy who helped us. He went above and beyond for us and we were able to finish our reno project thanks partly to Jeremy. Asking for help can be intimidating but he made it easy. We are so grateful. Thank you for your knowledge and your excellent customer service Jeremy. Rona is lucky to have you working there.
I went into the store and had amazing help on Friday. I had a budget and was helped with almost exactly what I needed. I highly recommend coming to this store.
Recently, I was looking for pavers for a backyard patio. I found some at this location. When I went to pick up the pavers, I asked Cecil, a very kind gentleman, a little about how to put the pavers down and what I would need. He walked me through everything needed, took my previously online purchased items and walked me through out the store to find every thing I needed. As well, he even explained the edging and best practices for seating the pavers properly. I was very reassured by his information and his thorough explanation. Cecil even explained how to turn corners with the edging he showed me. Make sure when you stop in to ask for Cecil if he is around, he was great! The other employees were knowledgeable as well. I happened to spend a little more time with Cecil as he walked me through and then loaded all the items in my car! I will definitely go back to this location.
Extremely rude customer service. I was inquiring about a product with the cashier who let me know that the product was not currently available but might be available through special order and recommended I check with customer service (she was very kind and helpful). I asked the gentleman at customer service and was told it was 'coming soon. ' I asked whether it would be possible to special order that item in once it is available in the warehouse and was told in a very condescending tone "it's like a movie that's coming to theatres soon. It's not available. " I tried to clarify that I was just wondering IF it became available if they could do special orders to their location and was met with the same tone and response. This staff member might benefit from more extensive training in proper customer service/how to be kind and polite in general.
We had the best customer service from Jeremy in the flooring department. He was attentive, understanding and extremely helpful. He went above and beyond for our situation and we truly appreciated it. I would highly recommend speaking to him regarding all flooring needs, he is very knowledgeable. Thank you Jeremy!
Staff here are awesome, almost every time as soon as you walk in there's somebody that will ask to help you find something. Not like home depot where you're stuck walking around lost for an hour lol
The guy I talked to on the phone knew what I needed for material when explaining what I needed for material. Very informative and helpful. Even other staff offered to help me as well. Good employees means decent management. Bravo, 5 star from this Native.
Smaller RONA store within neighbourhood. Was stocked with mulch, potting and garden soil. This is why we visited. Price was comparable to other similar stores. Cashier was friendly and welcomed us with an upbeat, welcoming greet. We were also thanked at payment in a sincere manner for our business. The cashier was also efficient doing her job and performed the transaction well, providing the recept. Overall, a good visit to get a few fall gardening supplies.
I was in there to pick up a breaker. Not normally a hard task but with so few people working it was almost impossible to get someone to open the cabinet, but thankfully they had the breaker.

Nice gentleman approached us as we walked in asking if we needed help finding anything. He helped us find the bbq we wanted on line and explained the shipping process.
Probably the best store of this type that I've visited. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are there to help talk you through your job. Definitely going back time and time again.
Excellent customer service and very professional staff, I did two online orders and they are on time, with smooth overall experience. Will do more business with them.
Not quite sure why Rona still exists. Right across the street is their parent company, Lowes. Rona didnt have what I was looking for and I was not impressed by any pricing that I did look at.
From calling the day before, ordering online, and picking up the next day, the service was second to none. At the store the service desk was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The cashier and other employees asked multiple times if I needed a hand. The yard worker was friendly, helpful and efficient. He assured me to bring anything back if there was an issue. Everyone just seemed to really like their job and helping out. Wasn't near as busy as a Lowe's or Home Depot too.
Which the stores would interlink for online orders because some of the product or offer in Edmonton which it would take last time to ship from Edmonton to Grand Prairie then it would from Ontario to Grand Prairie
Hands down the best customer service from any home improvement store in the west end of Edmonton. Every time I walk into the store I know I’m going to get a great experience and they’re going to have everything I need.
Got the best service from Robert. I came in looking for a quote on materials for a patio and pergola, and I Robert was very pleasant and extremely helpful and helped me adjust my plans to make sure everything would be properly supported, be aesthetically pleasing etc. I came in just looking for a quote, and I left with a quote, and a new plan for my project, and confidence that I received great advice. Excellent customer service!
Bad experience with ordering the wood online. 60 percent of what I received was a scrap. Deformed lumbers, raw and heavy, with plenty of twigs. Taking an opportunity from the tough time they are trying to sell the worst first.my bad, I didn’t check it because I trusted their professionalism and honesty. Now I am reaping it, wasting my time to sort the good ones.instead of just to measure and cut.only trust yourself.thank you.
After the best customer service I have received from any big box store I wanted to leave a 5 star review. Robert not only went above and beyond in assisting us choose a paint color, but educated us on the different shades of paint and how they influence a house's interior. An excellent job Robert as a satisfied customer went home feeling great about their purchase and the service they received.
The first employee I spoke to, working in the plumbing department, didn't know where thread tape was and led me on a wild goose chase across the store. Tried to find another employee to ask but all were busy; this store seems greatly understaffed. Finally found one, the cashier, who told me where I'd find it-the plumbing department.
It's no wonder Rona is closing 25+ stores across the country, with service like this.
I don't leave reviews on the internet unless something exceptional happens. I've had 3 encounters with this RONA Service guy in the last couple of years and all 3 made me feel back home, when you're standing in front of a government authority, asking for assistance and receiving this arrogant attitude and utter disrespect in return. Today was the worst encounter. I have never been treated like this in all 13 years in Canada, and I still can't believe this happened.
I drove to RONA today to check their lattice products - online pictures on their website all look the same and I couldn't tell the difference. And I wanted to check the quality.
A young gentleman walked with me to the yard where lattice was. There were no price tags in the yard, only bar codes, so we noted the code of the product I liked and ran to the computer nearby to check for pricing, but couldn't find it in the system. The gentleman wrote the product name on the piece of paper and directed me to the Service Center Rep inside. And this is where it all started.
Every look, every body language of the Rep showed that he hated this job and all people around him. He looked at me and slowly extended his arm to take my paper without saying a word. I was reading "what do you want? " in his eyes.
"I am here to check the pricing of this item, I started". "The guy from the yard gave me the name of the product. " The name says Classic Pressure Treated Brown.
He enters the name in the computer, nothing shows up. He enters something again, turns the monitor towards me, shows me a product called Privacy Wood Lattice: "This one? " Me (looking at the picture with a completely different product name than mine) : I am not sure if it's this one, although picture looks the same. Him (annoyed) : "I don't know what you are looking for".
He grabs the radio, asks the yard guy who assisted me what was the product. The guy replies: Classic Pressure Treated Brown Lattice (exactly what I had written on the paper). Service guy replies back very annoyed: I don't have a button "Classic Pressure Treated Brown Lattice"! Another yard guy chimes in and says "no worries, I'll check the product number". Service guy drops the radio on the table and says "F.ck it! ". (!?)
He enters something into the computer, pulls a lattice that's way too different: "this one? " Me: No, definitely not this one. He points sarcastically to the price tag (CAD 43.00), with arrogant voice: "Sure thing it's not this one! Too expensive? How much is that in Rubles? (I have an East European accent). Me: I don't know. Him: how much in Hryvnias (Ukrainian currency) ? Me: I don't know! He radios the yard guys again: what's the price of the lattice he wanted? Me: They don't know the price! There are no price tags in the yard, that's why I am here! Yard guys: "We do not know! No price tags here! "
Now he is getting even more annoyed. He acts as if I am guilty of disturbing him with my stupid price checks. I want to leave immediately.
He pulls another picture of lattice and keeps talking to me annoyed like with an idiot: "Are the squares same as these? Or bigger? Or smaller? Me thinking to myself: "Again? Are you kidding me? " Me: "You know what, nevermind, maybe it's this one, thanks". As I turn around to leave this store asap, he continues: how many?
Me: "Haw many? I don't know yet, I just wanted to check the price first! " Him: "SO YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT WE ARE BACK AT SQUARE ONE AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT? ! " Ok, follow me, I know. He takes off, without even turning around to see if I am following him. So I follwow. He stops just a few isles down and shows me a wall with ALL LATTICE OPTIONS DISPLAYED AND THEIR PRICES! Seriously? All these 5 minutes of non-sense and insults, when you have a complete display? So I see the product I wanted, I turn around, but he's already 10m away, walking back to his desk.
This guy needs to be taught some manners. I am determined to take this up to the upper management and see him fired!
Great location. Friendly staff and dog friendly provided your pup is house trained and friendly. Lady Bea had fun shopping with me getting all the attention.
I have been shopping in this location for past 8 years. Customer service is great, had an issue with a patio umbrella couple years a go & lost the receipt, store manager did go out of his way to find my receipt and replace my defected item. Today I was there again to make return on few feet of casing & trim it did go smooth as usual. Then checked out paint department (I normally shop for paint in homedepot) The lady in paint department was ACTUALLY KNOWS what she is talking about compare to many times I've been sold the wrong product in competition stores, that is refreshing that you go somewhere tell them what you need & they have properly trained staff on site to help you.
Amazing service, I needed help finding a receipt and Madalynn took the time to do some detective work for me! I really appreciate it. Thank you for the wonderful customer service experience!
