RONA Fort McMurray

I'm a little biased they allow dogs in here (I'm very allergic) and they're somehow always dogs every time I go. And on weekends they have one person checking people out so it can take a long time.

Hardly any sraff there. Hard to find help. Third tike I've went to buy parts for components I bought from the store. Last time was hinges for kitchen cupboards

Couldn't get a refund on a whipper snipper I used for 15 minutes, mint condition. Cashier hung up on me, and did not provide any help at the front desk. I was denied being able to talk to anyone else. I even called multiple departments and the same person answered! I was in disbelief. Never shopping or recommending Rona. I was so calm and collected, yet was still treated with disregard, laughed at by the cashier, hung up on etc. I would have continually spent money here if I had gotten respect, not instantly asked why I wanted to return it and continually questioned/disregarded. I felt as the commodity/refund/me were 3 seperate things this person had and needed an opinion on, and I had a first bad encounter with this cashier as my card was having a few minutes difficulty (this frustrated the cashier) so I moved away from the line to allow the others standing in line to make a transaction. At this point I already felt the disrespect from the cashier, so I quickly bought it and left. Nothing about a refund policy was mentioned, nore does my receipt clearly state whipper snippeds cannot be refunded. It says appliances, this is a whipper snipper for my grass. I left Rona feeling like a bag of trash, defeated. I cut people's grasses for a very low price, and so I was looking for the best option. Rona has set me back, in motivation and profits. Thank you Rona.

I visited Rona Hardware in Fort McMurray on Tuesday May 9,2023 at 5 pm. I was looking for a dishwasher and, after perusing the models on offer, went in search of someone who could make the sale. The attitude of the Gentleman in the hardware division was astounding; he said "No, because the appliance lady is not here! " I was then escorted to the manager. When I asked the manager to make the sale she said, "Are you sure, because the appliance lady is not here". It was apparently too much trouble for the manager on duty to assist me. I've spent a significant sum of money at Rona, during my 11 years in Fort McMurray. I'll not be visiting Rona anymore. I am disappointed at the client service. The manager's name is Arly.

It's Fort Mac, staff shortage? Also hard to find a person to know anything about the stuff they sell.

Nice that they let you bring your dog in with you. Staff is usually pretty darn nice and they don't force you to stop on your way out to check your receipt.

The place was clean. I do think if they had a few more staff on hand the service would be great

Rude staff especially in the yard. They don't help in loading lumber and expect customers to load everything manually. Clearly lack customer service and expects customer to wait for an hour

Went to the store looking for ceiling tiles. Found the ones I was looking for but they have to be speciality ordered. Spoke with a lady at the order desk who took my information and what I was looking for and said she would call me with pricing and availability. Never heard from her again.

Not the best customer service at all. Had to walk back to an aisle twice. Second time nobody showed up. Got what stuff I had and went to home hardware. Then walking out of the store (a hardware store), and the gutter is spewing water right at the exit door. Really nobody can fix it or maybe clean the gutters out? Shows how much they care about their customers.

Happy they had what I was looking for, trying to pay wasn’t a good time. Tellers were confused or disorganized.

Very helpful staff. Jay always goes above and beyond which makes for a great shopping experience.

Rona is great I walked I did not have to go looking for anybody a staff member came walking and before I had a chance to ask for help he wished me a happy new year and could help me a very knowledgeable staff member thank you RONA. Ron

WOW BUYER BEWARE! I'd give them a 0 star if I could.

Spoke to the kitchen dept In late July about getting new countertops. Received a quote for new countertops,   install and taxes included. We were so happy with the friendliness and knowledge of the lady there. Couldn't believe how awesome the customer service was. We decided to order but first wanted someone to come in and verify measurements. We paid $100.00 plus tax for someone to do that which, we gladly paid because we didnt want to take a chance on our own measurements being incorrect.   At that time he took the measurements and also wrote down that we wanted no back splash, installed with a cut out for the sink and the color name.
I then went to Rona a few days later on August 3rd and paid upfront for our order because it was a custom order. At that time the lady in the kitchen dept asked me to sign the peice of paper agreeing to the details that the "measurement guy" had written down. Which I was given a copy of. Still no big deal thinking that we were getting great customer service.

Knowing that because of "covid times" that it may take a little longer and we were totally OK with that. On Sept 25th, I received a call telling me that my counter top was ready for pick up at which time I told lady lady that we paid for install so assumed that would include delivery as well. She said someone would get back to me with an install time. 6 days later another Rona associate called to inform me that she had no record of me paying for the install and that it would be another $1100 that would need to be paid in full before they can book anything.   I went to speak to the lady whom I placed my order with and she said that even though I signed the paperwork agreeing to the terms stated on it that install was now not included and there must have been a mix up. I am so frustrated I could cry and refuse to give them another $1100 over what I already paid when the paperwork clearly states that install and sink cut out to be included. I will pick up the countertops and install them ourselves but I just want people to be aware that you can clearly be scammed even when you think you have yourself covered.

Just meh, they are usually out of stock on things that I've confirmed online before visiting. Overall, a convenience store for contractors who forgot to buy their tape from Vancouver.

Always great to buy at Rona! Staff are always very helpful and approachable and the place is always neat.

Poor customer service, if I could give zero stars I would. Staff is not helpful, rude cashier. I'd rather spend my money at Home Hardware and Canadian Tire. FYI the garden lady at Canadian Tire is awesome!

Was in to look at dishwashers, and buy one! Salesman was friendly, helpful, listened & understood our concerns and assisted us in getting best value for our money. We placed the order for our dishwasher!

Ordered interior doors months ago and they just never show up. The lumber desk never has any idea what's going on. Don't waste your time, worst service I've ever experienced. Nobody ever answers the phone.

I didn't buy anything today, I went there to find information. The supervisor/manager in flooring was Extremly helpful with everything I needed.

Store was very busy inside and it didn't seem like they were controlling crowds inside for covid.

Sold multiple items I ordered as online exclusives to someone in store and never called me for online pick up as order was endlessly pending. Month later I went in store and told I was SOL and they wouldn’t transfer the items from Edmonton to McMurray.

Even though the store and employees were extremely busy, with COVID-19 restrictions in place and customers in high numbers due to the recent flood. The employees were friendly and were able to process my order in a timely manner.

I would recommend going to Rona if you need something they carry in stock at the store ("pick up in 2 hours"), or using rona.ca for in-town delivery (excellent and often the day after you order).

I do not recommend using rona.ca for a pickup order ("3 to 7 days") in the store. Either you will be waiting for quite some time at one of four curbside pickup parking spots, or you will wait for the same amount of time in store (to confirm several times that yes, you did receive an email to pick up your order) and in the lumber yard (for someone to either find or not find the items you ordered).

Lumber desk is always kind of slow, because of the nature of what people order and how the lumber desk has always been set up (so this is normal). However, I would recommend that Rona move their floor wait and lineup stickers closer to the inactive entrance beside the lumber desk, because of large loads frequently going in and out of the double doors on the other side of the lumber desk (it kind of defeats the purpose of social distancing during COVID-19).

On the whole, Rona is not set up for the on-line retail space. They were late in the game and their company-wide customer service (phone and email) needs an overhaul. But, they are still my go-to hardware store in town for a box of screws or paint on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Good prices, clean area, friendly staff. Easy to find what you are looking for. Shelves are usually well stocked.

Pretty much on par with the fort mac customer service reputation. Dont bother wasting your time waiting for the lumber desk such a rude staff.

Went in looking for a bathroom faucet to replace a tap that has stripped couldn't get any help after asking 3 different associates for help. Only 1 made a call on the pa for someone to come nobody came. Asked a 4th to call again after a 20 min wait he refused and told me to go to the lumber desk. I for some reason was having severe cramping in my legs and almost collapsed in the store had to brace myself on a shelf to stop from falling multiple staff just kept on walking by I left I dont know if I'll ever go back in. I work in the customer service industry and have for over 30 years shaw atco and safeway if I demonstrated any of the to busy to care attitude I would have been sent for retraining.

I'm a contractor buying at Rona fir ths past 10 years. I was around on August 9th to buy as usual and uberhaus toilet was on sale for $159, regular price was $325. The sale sticker was still hanging on it for $159 and the sales lady for plumbing checked the sku no and told me it's for $159 but when I wanted to pay the sales girl told me the price she's seeing in the computer is $325 I went to take a photo but she still told me its $325 and she paged someone from plumbing and when no one showed up after I waited for 20mins I had to walk down the isle to find one of the managers. The guy was rude and told me they can only give me $10 discount that the sale stopped on Augyst 7. It's written in very, very fine print underneat only the manager can see it. I suggest next time Rona should honour the sale price if they forgot to remove the sticker or apologise to the customer. Out of anger, I told the manager that I will not buy again and he said "fair enough". Very bad experience for me.

Rona Fort McMurray review July 20 2019 so I was assigned a task but my sister-in-law and wife to make a prep table for the kitchen so I called the local Rona in Fort McMurray and advised that I needed to speak to the lumber desk I got a nice lady well she seems nice enough and I advised that I was looking for Pine Spruce or Oak boards to make the pine table she advised that they don't carry that put me on hold said she had to go look at the Shelf then came back and couldn't give me any pricing put me on hold again after I asked about the oak in the maple I was getting pretty frustrated I was like well thanks for your time so feeling frustrated I figured I'd call the next local Rona cuz I knew that's where I had to shop so called Cold Lake where I got someone that definitely wasn't Canadian his name was Elroy Zantua I asked him hey I'm looking for a 2 by 8 Spruce or 8 1 by 8 or 8 1 by 8 Maple or 1 or 8 Maple or 8 1 by 6 or 8 1 by 6 maple Elroy put me on hold for less than 4 minutes came back and told me all the pricing per foot per piece and I was easily able to do the math for the calculator so this is my review Fort McMurray you failed me as for Cold Lake you guys are awesome on the phone it's a shame I won't drive to Cold Lake to shop as it's quite the drive still have to shop at Rona in Fort McMurray but now I'll call Cold Lake when I need information

Wanted a door sill.rona in ontario, 32 bucks, fort mac, 43 bucks.weed killer, 36 dollars at canadian tire, 46 dollars at Rona. Rip off.

The lumber yard people seem to take pride in their work. I asked for 1 board cut to a specific length and that's what I got. Since it was such a low volume they even made sure it was a good looking piece of lumber. Thanks.

Great service. Someone came over greeted us and asked if we needed help. Didn't have what we were looking for but still good experience overall.

I just found out there was a Rona store in Fort McMurray. I bought some small things for the house I just bought. No problem at all.

My Fridge was down and I tried to buy a new one at Rona but the staff who helped me actually did not help on any thing. She even could not answer my question about how much and when for the delivery. She asked me to come back on Sunday when the knowlegeable personnel was back on duty. I needed a new fridge asap so I went to another store and get what I need in 10 minuts.

Is very disgusted with their service. I bought a sun shelter in May.was told I could pick it up in a week, I got a call from manager, telling me my sun shelter was discontinued (Sold me something they never had). No Sorry, just come in pick a new one. We did only to have it giving to another dis- satisfied customer.and again no shelter. I will never shop at Rona again.they are very unfriendly, judgemental, and promise to fix things and they don't.they let me walk away hurt, mad and upset over something I had already bought and paid fir
