Availability of in stock product continues to slide. Too many times I have purchased lumber at the service desk, head into the yard to pick up and they don't have enough physically there to fill the order. It is becoming a waste of time. Last time I couldn't fill an order, I discovered that HD had 3/8 sheets for OSB for less $$.

Needs to update online qaunities when they say they have 3 in stock but staff tells me only have 2 but on display only. Good staff

So I had a rough day replacing faucets and fans cut my finger open pretty good but water was shut off and I bought wrong fan so I go to return it and the customer service was absolutely amazing, I was gonna clean it up and crazy glue it once water was on but the ladies brought out sanitizer and bandages and were absolutely awesome, truly amazing customer service thank you all

The only place with the high output portable air conditioners. All the staff were wonderful and engaging. It was an easy purchase and they loaded it onto the back of my SUV. The yard staff was excellent.

This store was way ahead of its time. Long before the Washington Redskins and the eventual Edmonton Eskimos, they changed their name from the highly offensive Totem to Rona. I try to buy all my building supplies here but instead of helping today, they're having an 18 employee meeting in the middle of the store to berate the workers as customers just start walking out in frustration. But yes, good job letting the employees know what they are doing wrong. /s

Wonderful customer service, the manager and paint technician that I dealt with today were great.
Other stores nowadays are more sales focused than try to help the customer a right product. But they both were helpful and recommended me with nice ideas for my renovation project.

I phoned ahead to see if cinder blocks were available and since they replied yes I went to get them only to find out that they were buried under the snow and not accessible. Guess I looked upset and they encouraged me to tell them why I needed them and were able to get the 2 I needed once they heard my story. I was glad and the blocks stopped my cat from digging up the lino and behave at night. I'm forever grateful to them and their kindness. Now when I have a hardware need of any sort I'll go there instead of Home Depot.

Reasonable selection but service is hit and miss. The staff at the garden centre was fairly clueless. The service desk staff is brilliant but there was no one at the yard entrance and I had to return to the store to have them send someone out.

We were lookingfor a new overhead light for a dining room. After a short trip to the lighting aisle we selected a new fixture. An associate helped us to find the correct light bulbs. Within a few minutes er were on our way. It took an hour to install the new fixture. It looks beautiful.

The displays and product availability is great. The desk staff know their stuff for the most part and treat you with respect. The thing that irks me about this place is the fighting between staff. They are not private about who they dislike or their unprofessional comments about each other in front of customers. I've been in there for the better part of a year now and I've heard enough about who did what or how bad a coworker screwed up an order. Stop throwing your own coworkers under the bus and have a little dignity in the company you work for and people you work beside.

My husband went to find a piece that we need for our outdoor faucet, when he asked for help they said they didn’t have it (even though online it says they have many in stock). Customer service here is seriously lacking. This is why we never shop here.

I just had an awesome experience at the Grande Prairie Rona. An associate named James saw me looking lost and he helped me find what I was looking for despite having to make 2 trips out into the yard to do so. He helped me get the items to the till and offered to bring them out to my vehicle if necessary. All this while maintaining a safe physical distance during this covid pandemic. Greatly appreciated his awesome customer service and had to share!

There is a good selection of items including fair priced wood, I enjoy being able to go there and pick up loose screws and nails. The yard staff are very helpful but some of the store staff are not very good at communicating with customers. Overall I enjoy shopping at Rona, thanks guys.

Oh, RONA. First of all, Rona's contractor desk and long-term employees are excellent; friendly and helpful. If you're fortunate enough to be able to use the contractor desk, they're 5 Stars worthy. Unfortunately, the last time I was at Rona, I had such a negative experience that it has coloured my perspective of this store. In September, during my first shopping trip post-baby, I stopped in to price out patio furniture. In retrospect, I probably should have left my diaper bag in the car, but the interaction with one of Ronas (new?) employees still seems a bit over the top. Up to this point, my husband and I had been frequent (near weekly) customers due to our various projects. On this particular day, I walked into the store to check out a couple patio sets. As soon as I walked in, an employee zeroed in on me, started glaring at me and followed me as I looked at furniture prices. I felt like a criminal. Needless to say, I 1) Didn't purchase any furniture, 2) now avoid carrying a diaper bag anywhere and 3) would prefer not to shop at Rona.

Now, I know there's a sign on the door that says no large bags. In my naivete (and post- partum fog), I didn't really think much of my bag. It definitely would have been preferred if, instead of being treated like a criminal, the team member had politely asked me to leave my bag at the counter. I would have removed my valuables and happily obliged.

Now I have other stores that I will preferentially support for our home improvement needs whenever possible: - (

When an item is out of stock, you should probably tell your customers instead of wasting a half hour of their time. We picked it out, got an invoice, and paid for the item without a single employee checking to make sure they actually HAD it. Only to get to the yard to find out they were sold out and had been for most of the day. Guess I'll spend a few hundred dollars somewhere else.

I really appreciate the way Lanze handled my purchase of rolled roofing. He personally went out of his way to make the goods available to me and when I showed him that the quality of product was inferior due to being moved around multiple times, he assured me that he would gladly replace anything that did not meet our expectations. Then he even notified me when they received a new shipment of the same product and reconfirmed that we could gladly exchange it.
I believe that the real evidence of how a company is run is in how they deal with problems when they arise. I applaud Lanze and RONA GP on their level of Customer service.

There really was zero customer service. We were completely ignored at the service counter while two employees continued and finished their conversation without even acknowledging us.

Good place for for plumbing supplies, drywall mud, GRK screws, OLFA knives, and whatever else you need from a hardware store. Definitely my favorite in GP for a place to get hardware on evenings and weekends.

Mostly a good store, but this review is in regards to ordering lumber online for in store pickup. On the website it states that you will receive an email when your order is ready for pickup in 2 or more hours. 3 hours after ordering I got an email stating my order was ready for pickup, it was not. Not sure what the 3 hours were for? Save yourself the trouble and do not use order online for in store pickup, just adds extra steps and time for no apparent reason.
