Food was yummy. Service was good but it was so busy taking time to the staff doing their job

Food is optimal, great environment, people are generous and kind don't forget to turkish coffee complimentary before and after your meal.

My favorite was the Kafta manoushe

Just to start off, the food is the only saving factor and it’s just alright, very mediocre for Lebanese food, much better options out there. Now for the negatives.
1. They lie about the hours and prices on the websites and maps.
2. Very very rude and confrontational staff for no reason.
3. Atmosphere is not good, it always feels like they are staring you down 24/7.4. Not very helpful when asking about ingredients or what’s in the dish. Same goes with allergy concerns.
I strongly recommend NOT going here and spending your time and money elsewhere.

We got takeout recently and wanted to try something new, this was SO GOOD. We tried chicken shawarma wrap, kafta pie (the little beef pizza things) and a Mediterranean plate. Really good hummus and our Caesar salad was huge. Definitely will be back!

If you want Authentic Lebanese food, but don't want to visit your Taita, come here. Okay also visit your Taita if you can.

I ordered the hummus platter and the kibbeh, and it was really good, both were well seasoned, and I've never had kibbeh that smooth before, in a good way.
Everything is reasonably priced, and the free turkish coffee was great. Sometimes with turkish coffee, people brew it like mud, but it was really easy to drink and not overpowering.

I'm definitely going to bring my mom here some time.

Firstly, you cannot put cheese on lahmacun, secondly, I ordered ayran to accompany the meal, but it did not come.

Bad customer service, very rude and disrespectful. We drove for 40 minutes to there to get Iftar for Ramadan, when we got there the lady was on the door did not welcome us and told us to leave and did not let us to order anything from there. She was very rude and zero customer service

Great prices and portions compared to other restaurants. Food is always delicious and you can't beat their prices for wings.

Wow just tried this place and it's THE BEST Mediterranean food! The servings are heaping! Had the chicken shwarma platter and beef kabob platter, and ordered the rotisserie chicken to go. Nice clean restaurant with friendly staff. Place was busy too. I highly recommend trying and supporting local business.

This breakfast brings you back about 40 years ago. When my grandmother and aunts made a huge breakfast for the whole family.

That freshly baked bread is to die for. Also, we went on a Sunday afternoon where it was busy. The friendly service and attention to details for that kind of a busy day was unmatched. I will go there again for sure.

The best restaurant in edmonton and Alberta honestly trying all days and different times thier food so delicious number one (1) in Edmonton serves %100 excellent people are nice and respectful +clean restaurant. I would like to say thank you for all the owners and management for everything and for all the food you make and cooked very will.

Great Food! Everything was packed with such care. The salad was packed separately and not with the meal (this alone gets bonus points) & it tasted great as well. I especially liked the pita chips that were neither oily nor soggy, they were just crunchy and yummy! They even added a little chicken spiral on the salad, such a nice addition.

The fish & chips were good but the chicken kabob, rice, pita, hummus and garlic sauce were really really good. Will definitely order again, but I’d like to even go to their actually location as well. I loved their food! Thank you!

This is the 3rd time I have ordered from Root of Beirut in the last month. I noticed that the service and portion are getting worse every time. The taste is still good though (hence the 3 stars).

I hope the owner would keep the service level as it was before so they won't lose customers.

After driving by this place to many times to count I took the family there for supper last night all for the 1st time and I must say this place was amazing. Service, quantity and quality of food, all amazing. Just an all around great place to eat. Will most definitely be goin back again.

Authentic with an atmosphere of being back in Lebanon. The food is top notch. The fatoosh was amazing with just the right amount of dressing. All of the meat dishes we had were well seasoned and perfectly done. This is now the regular spot.

Everything in our breakfast was perfect and delicious.

The staff are so friendly, and for sure I will be there every time I visit Edmonton.

One of the worst Middle Eastern places in terms of customer service. The young workers behind the till have zero customer facing skills and tend not to greet the people in the line. The quality is average at best. They need to work on the issues above as 'PAYING' customers will go somewhere else for quality and service. Will not use this place or recommend to others.

Falafel is one of my favorite dishes. I love the combination of falafel, hummus, tubbuli, fattush salad and all that pickled veg. Not forgetting the zattar and fresh baked pita bread.
Yesterday, after the inspection in Symphonie Tower, I invited my vegan client to lunch. We went to "Roots of Beirut", a Lebanese restaurant in Northside. This was a recommendation from the builder's rep who happened to be a Lebanese. If you like Lebanese food this is a place you should try. The food was fantastic and very reasonable. Everything is made from scratch.

I was there for an Iftar. There was no food (dates/water) at the tables for people to break their fasts with. Instead, we were to line-up alongside about 30 others to break our fast. I think this is unacceptable. Placing some water and/or dates at tables is very simple, and will make everyone happier I'd think. Also, there was no napkins at the the tables. (all this for $28/plate)

Also, tables are super wobbly and uneven, which makes it uncomfortable to sit at.

The food was good, fatteh especially.

But because a restaurant experience is a combination of food and environment, I am unfortunately upset at what I saw.

PS, for parking, you'll have to look in the neighbourhood.

Ordered food from Uber, definitely worth trying! Really delicious flavours and my favourite was the Cheese Fatayer!

They often hold very large events late in the evening hosting far more people than parking allows completely taking over all residential parking in area. Very frustrating for anyone who lives in the area trying to find a space to park near their own homes.

Best Lebanese food I've had in Edmonton. Wonderful flavours, fresh taste, good value.
The fatoush is pitch perfect. Baba ganouj is wonderfully smoky. Creamy hummus with generous amounts of accompaniments.

0 customer service, you go there, they look at you look like they haven’t seen a women in their entire life. Staring at you and they don’t know what they are doing. Ordered food my order was ready and I was waiting 4 people working there were cheet chatting and not telling you even a single word that the order is ready. It’s not first time I see them like this.

We ended up ordering far too much. I had the chicken shawarma wrap and tabouli salad. We also had a beef shawarma platter and pepperoni pie. All of it was delicious. The hummus was out of this world. Will be back and will definitely buy some of the hummus to take home! Service was incredible.

You can't believe how far I had to drive to find Tabbouleh in this city. It's ridiculous. Thank God for the Root of Beirut! Huge portion for 7 bucks. Wasn't the best I've had tbh but it was the cure I needed! Looked like they had Zataar too but didn't get to try it. Big hummus spread came with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and olives. Drizzle of oil on top with parsley, very authentic by Edmonton standards. If you need your fix of Lebanese food this is the place to check out.

It's honestly my go to for a quick meal - You cannot beat the price and consistency. I'd recommend any of the pitas or the beef shawarma platter.

Love it here. Good pizzas, pitta pies and rotisserie chicken. If you want my recommendation, try their Akawi Deluxe (a cheese pitta wrap with a refreshing selection of vegetables).

Servings and portions are really good! They always give you extra sides with your main course. I just think they should improve the rice that they use for the platters.

Me and the kids went there, it’s not bad the service is really slow and the waitress came with no mask at all. They charge more than what’s on the menu. I didn’t like the kababs but the wrap was really good. Over all pretty good!

Always the best, the sandwiches are the best in town. The roasted chicken is delicious and comes with everything, fries, pickles, garlic, bread, oh and did I mention lots and lots of fries. The pita pies are as good as any in lebanon and the staff are always smiling and happy. You can tell it is a good team atmosphere to work in. Ive eaten there 3 times a week for the past month.

This is my favourite pizza in the city. I have only ever ordered pizza takeout so can’t comment on a dine in experience or other menu options but have always been really happy with the Pizza and will continue to support this business:)

I love this place! Im from Edson, i stop there everytime im heading to red deer, the service is awesome, the food is delicious reminds me of back home.

Have driven by this area so many times, and finally gave it a try for take out. It was AMAZING. The trio platter was enough for two. I don't know what spices were in the rice, but that alone was enough to make me want to go back. Chicken, Beef, and Kofta were so flavorful. Hummus, pita, and garlic dip did not disappoint either. Highly recommend.

Root of Beirut is one of the best lebanese Mediterranean cuisine is town. Food is excellent and the price is even better, the staff is amazing, friendly and humble. Thank you for the excellent service.

Food is mediocre, service is even worse.wouldn’t recommend if you want to take your family or someone special. Ordered beef shawarma and and meat was almost not seasoned and really dry.

I was out on a bike ride and decided to stop in to grab a bite to eat at this little gem of a restaurant and I am certainly happy that I did! I ordered a chicken wrap and tahbouleh salad and it was so incredibly delicious (seriously insanely good) that I will definitely be back again and want to tell everyone about this place! The staff here were super friendly and made me feel at home and I just love the whole vibe here! This is thee place to check out this summer!

We've ordered their pizza specials several times, and it has been delicious. Very fresh and tasty, and at a very good price. The owners are nice and friendly. Would definitely continue to support this local business.

Clients clearly treat their kind better. I was waiting for 45 minutes for my food however, someone who was clearly of the same ethnic background of the client came in and was served his food in 10 minutes. Wont be coming back here.
