Roots Refillery

We have been going too Roots Refillery for over a year now and we are obsessed!

The staff members are absolutely amazing - they go above and beyond every time you have questions, when I go in with my children they always offer to help fill up anything I need which is beyond helpful (also love their little toy set up to keep the kids occupied, my children ask me every week when we are going back) and they are honest about products when you have a concern!

I have yet to find a product my family and I do not like, it’s healthier option which our family is passionate about and reduces all the waste from these products we use daily which I love!

I 100% recommend Roots Refillery (I recommend this place to everyone I talk too as well I love it so much)

This is my new favourite store! I started coming here in April when I started my business and switched to using the cleaning products at roots refillery! Inexpensive to refill and a little goes a long way! They have so many options and it’s earth friendly! The staff are amazing, super knowledgeable, and kind. I’d recommend this store to anyone and everyone over and over again! 90% of my household consists of this store!

I am so impressed with this local gem! The associates are so knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with, the store is beautifully organized and easy to navigate, and the products really are incredible. I was surprised at how many different products they offered, from self care to household goods, and how easy the process to refill my own containers was.
After trying the hair care Rachel recommended, I was blown away at how well it worked for me.
Definitely a new favourite spot for me! Check them out.

I love the concept here and I finally made it in to check it out. Went to check out toothpaste tablets and solid shampoo & conditioner. Good for plane travel and they helped me pick out one I'd like. Turns out they're my new favorite. I got a few other good finds. Great quality and they were so helpful. I'll definitely be back!

I Love Roots! It's always been such a fun experience, every time I go in. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, the products are awesome and diverse, the whole store is beautiful! I love the idea of reusing my own containers. I LOVE that the majority of products are Canadian made. I love that I can try a little of something, or come in and fill my big jars to the top! Did I say already that I love Roots? If you haven't already, I highly recommend you go in and take a look around. I bet you'll love it too!
Favorite products are: Lemon dish soap (works better than the big brands!), shea butter, African black soap, magic powder and citric acid!

I was introduced to Roots by a friend/coworker. I AM OBSESSED! I’m not from Medicine Hat but I make special trips just to go to Roots (and I always walk out with something). I love this concept! Sexy Sadie all the way!

Such a cute store! I stopped in there a couple weeks ago just to see what a refillery was like as i have never been to one, and i’ll definitely be coming back! The staff are super helpful, but also leave you be to do your shopping and are super approachable and kind.roots has so many options and a huge variety of products.from laundry, to kitchen things, hair care and face care!

Love this store! It’s a great way to reduce packaging waste. I also appreciate their Canadian clean products! My favorite products so far are the routine deodorant and liquid laundry detergent.

This place is awesome! They have so many options for natural products (cleaning, skin and hair care, make up!) and the staff is really helpful. I'm so happy to have this store in Medicine Hat. Definitely check them out!

This is the real approach guided by commitment to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Bring your own bottles. Use one donated by someone else or buy a beautiful reusable container, whatever fits your need or floats your boat. Fill them with environmentally friendly and affordable products. You can fill as much or as little as you want since they weigh the container prior to fillong and again after. This is exactly what I was hoping to find.

The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable. They let us wander and explore but were there to answer our questions. The space was bright and clean.

This is environmental consumerism at its core: looking for sustainable yet reachable and convenient ways to reduce our carbon footprint. Would give more stars if I could.

Be aware: you can donate reusable containers for others as well, so instead of your sour cream and yogurt containers catching a boat to some other nation's shore, they can gain new life. They take any plastic and glass containers as long as they have a lid. I do wonder about pickle jars.

I love this place so much, for so many reasons. Firs of all so many great products, everything is all natural and the no waste system is incredible. Just wonderful all around. The staff are amazing! So knowledgeable. Can’t wait to try everything! If you are thinking of trying this place do it!

Was not sure what to expect but was very interesting to see all the natural products available.
Purchased the all purpose cleaner tablet and glass spray bottle. When I got home couldn't wait to try it. Was extremely happy with the results. The first product to get soap scum off easily on my glass shower doors. And no overpowering smell of chemicals, I was even able to stay in shower while cleaning it
The fabric refresher for carpets, fabrics etc is also really nice, no harmful products and overwhelming scents just pleasant refreshing scent.
I will definitely be back and look forward to trying more products.

Excellent to have this in town; the products are phenomenal. Natural products that are good for us paired with making a difference for our planet are a win-win. Stripping powder is one of my favourites, and I was amazed at how my hair felt after trying the hair line up. We are switching our whole house over!

I love the products and service at Roots Refillery.

It's been so nice to have the ability to reduce our plastic consumption by taking our containers to Roots as they need filled. It's an added bonus that Crystal and her staff are always so happy to make the experience positive. We enjoy "driving to the south side" for this gem of a store and encourage everyone to make it a regular stop.
