Cute and chill place for coffee. Had a day by myself in the city and started off with an Americano and a breakfast sandwich. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
We ordered coffee, matcha tea and croissants. The coffee was very weak, a third shot needed for the coffee to be ok but nothing special. The matcha was average as the coffee. The Almond croissants were really really bad, the worst I ever had. They were definitely not fresh and tasted like a few days old, dry like a cardboard with a very small amount of almond paste and almonds. Pricey for low quality of products.
As a frequent patron at this contemporary establishment I have always been met with the upmost respect and appreciation! I have had the privilege of meeting management which has only solidified my 5 star ratings. This company seeks to maintain a family like structure while incorporating cultural competency and implementing a professional client centered focus. Furthermore, the members of Rosso from part-timers to CEO have all gained a special relationship with each other as Rosso actively fosters diverse and inclusive environments.
NOW, let's talk about coffee! I was never a coffee drinker untill I tired.no.lived a unforgettable experience trying my first cup of quality bean juice. Rosso is and forever will be my go to for 1.sit down conversation cafe 2. Take home bagged coffee (they can grind for you!) 3. A place to go where I need to take the weight of life for a few hours.
Side note: it is refreshing to see changing seasonal drinks, new coffee beans from around the world and a smiling face to serve you.
I regret not ordering a latte while I was here, but the coffee was good. The vegan cookie was super heavy, almost a meal, I couldn't finish it but it was delicious.
I bought 2lb of coffee beans to take home with me, but then found it was $1 cheaper to buy at the airport. Everything else is more expensive there so I don't know how this is possible.
This coffee shop delivers excellent coffee that's a standout. The food complements the beverage well, holding its own in terms of taste and quality. If you're looking for a spot with reliable coffee and decent food options, it's a recommended choice.
The chai latte is delicious as ever. I love the vibe in here. They always have new information on what's going on in the arts in the city and a great space to wait for your menu items as well as done in if you have time. Everyone I've talked to here has been so pleasant and goes above and beyond when I get my order. They have water to drink here as well. What an amazing tea spot for me! Can't wait to go back!
The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I like their coffee, and so I went there to get some espresso tonic since this location is really close to the c-train station, and I wanted to surprise my fiancé with his favorite coffee. Last time, I got the same drink, and the cup was only half filled with coffee, and the rest was just a foam. I get that tonic is really foamy as any other soda because I am a barista as well. The first time i ordered there, they were almost closed and I didn't expect a cup with half of the foam, so I didn't want to make any complaints, and I just grabbed my drink. Today, I ordered the same coffee, and I saw her filling the cup with ice to the top I asked for the light ice and she told me she's not gonna make me a full drink with less ice. I was deeply surprised as I paid $15 dollars for the coffee as well as the brownie bar and energy ball, so I was expecting the drink that I paid for. So i asked her If she can pour a full cup and she said yes. And then she gave me my drink and 1/3 of it was just a foam. Beside of all the bad experience with a coffee I never had a barista asking for the tip straight in your face, mentioning that they have a tip menu before the tapping. P. S. The coffee tasted burnt and bitter this time too so I don't think she actually cares about how to make coffee for the customers.
Had a perfect matcha here! Barista girl was superkind when I asked here for a phone charger cause my phone was getting dead, and she helped me with that!
I dropped by at around 6: 30 PM on a Friday (day 1 of the Calgary Stampede), and I was expecting the place to be a bit packed but it was the opposite. Ordering and paying went by smoothly. I had the breakfast sandwich and a cup of chai latte. I thought I had to wait by the counter for my order, but they actually brought it over to my table. Service was great, staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. More importantly, the food and coffee were wonderful!
How to have a perfect start into a day full of Sightseeing: Choose a lovely café. Order yourself some delicious cake (in my case a pumpkin spiced cream cheese loaf, which tasted awesome. Moist, well spiced, soft, not too much cream cheese and the one on it yummy). Get one of your favorite drinks. This Cappuccino was great. Service was really welcoming.
Love the sandbox sandwich! Beware if ordering drinks with their ceramic cups…the rims might be dirty so be sure to ask for a plastic cup or take a look before you sip!
I will give 3 stars because they really have good coffee, but the prices are just severely overpriced!
$6 plus tax for a single slice of subpar banana bread that was just thawed out from the freezer! I guess inflation is hitting everybody! But still, I could buy a loaf of banana bread for less than the price of single one here.
Their bathrooms and ambience were great! Also, good service by the staff!
First time in Calgary and randomly found this spot. I had the honey sweetened cold brew latte, and my friends tried the mocha. We all felt our drinks were flavourful with a smooth. The shop has a contemporary vide, in a cool neighbourhood and staff efficient and friendly.
