Great little coffee spot in Inglewood. Comfy spots to sit (get your spot before they busy up in the daytime!), trendy atmosphere, lots of windows so brightly lit on the front side of the cafe, bar stools and counters for laptop work. We hold small meetings there regularly when there's only 2 or 3 of us. Our office enjoys their coffees so much we buy it by the 5lb bag online too.
I frequent this location and regularly receive great service and coffee from everyone. They had a great deal on coffee this weekend. The girl with the glasses and tattoos was super nice and gave us samples of their drip they had.
Still an amazing and cozy place with delicious coffee and friendly staff. It’s been 4 years since my last visit and it felt like I had been there yesterday (ˆᴗˆ)
I love stopping into this Rosso location. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The coffees are made correctly and deliciously. Their breakfast sandwiches are great and it’s a great spot to sit and people watch in Inglewood. It’s cozy and I will continue to be back again and again.
I live in Inglewood and have stopped by Rosso many times with normally a good experience. This morning I stopped in for a coffee and it was busy, though not any busier than usual for a Monday morning. There was the sweetest elderly man in front of me who looked so full of joy, and was smiling and saying hi to everyone including the barista who was taking his order. It warmed my heart until I noticed that she barely looked at him the entire time taking his order, basically threw his change at him, and he STILL left her a generous tip. I realise that baristas can get busy and stressed, but it was such an obvious choice to at least smile at this sweet old man, and she didn't even do that. It left a bad taste in my mouth, and I'm honestly not sure if I'll be returning again.
Really like this spot to grab a coffee and work for a couple hours. The one issue I have is how spotty the wifi is.hard to be productive when a page takes forever to load.
Pros Tasty coffee Friendly staff Big table with lots of space to work/plugin
Cons Poor WiFi, made worse by the fact Telus cell service is not good inside the coffee shop.
Spicy Thai Chicken soup is on the menu but never in stock. Even when stopping by first thing in the morning! Instead they give you this gross tomatoe soup that tastes like it's straight from a can. $9 tomatoe soup from the can! Smh
This spot is my jam. Been here many times and never been disappointed. I enjoy coffee and I can tell their quality is better than most places I’ve visited in Calgary. What I like about Rosso is their coffee isn’t too bitter and strong that it’s all you taste. The bean to milk ratio is beautifully balanced! I don’t love the ambiance of the cafe but it’s still a better vibe than other “chain coffee shops”. Hit it up!
The best chai latte ever! Rosso Coffee Roasters in Inglewood does coffee right. I am not sure how they did it but it was amazing! Rosso is a neat, funky, bright yet cozy place for R&R - Roast Coffee & Relaxation. Depending on the time of day, parking could be a challenge but really, when it is not in Inglewood:) Rosso not only has great coffee & tea, they have a range of unique food and desserts. You can also take your delectables to go. Words don't do Rosso justice so check out the pictures I included and do yourself a favour and visit Rosso today for some amazing java! PS The staff is amazing:)
I asked for cream for my drip coffee and they said they don’t provide cream. Ummmm…ok. Even 7-11 gives you cream. Latte we ordered was good but I won’t be repeating. Cream for coffee seems like a pretty legit ask from a coffee house…especially at those prices.
A nice coffee place in yhe corner. We have visited this place to get coffee while on pur walks from Inglewood. This place is great, peaceful anf has good ambience. The staff is always the sweetest and helpful. There is seating area available in the cafe. Recommended for sure.
A great coffee house on a vibrant corner. Traditional cappuccino is done well and the service is friendly and efficient. Decent amount of seating indoors and on the outside patio, where there is always lots to take in.
Went here for a coffee and got a cinnamon bun instead. Omg my second favorite cinnamon bun EVER! I didn't think I could ever find another bun that is close to my Calgary favorite. Will be back for more! The cinnamon bun was a good size with glaze (no icing which is PERFECT) and had a dough that was bready with little sweetness that was perfectly complimented by the raisins. YUM! Thanks for the great baking surprise! See you soon!
Slow service. It took well over 15 minutes to receive a simple drink, despite being the only order in line. I watched staff perform maintenance tasks rather than addressing orders on the bar. I’ve worked at cafes and can appreciate there are other tasks that need to be completed, however I was quite disappointed with the service at this location. Rosso coffee is excellent, I will just be choosing a different location in the future
Love Rosso! Came in two weeks ago and bought 5 bags of coffee staff was really nice and even put up with me being on my phone. Then my Lab ate four of the bags. Still a rad experience.
Great coffee. Seems to be higher quality of coffee bean. I couldn't help but notice staff being rude to the person in front of me though. Maybe just a bad day.
3 times a week at the minimum, the baristas here are in good spirits, Acknowledge the customers even though there is always a line up, and always say thank you, see you again. Nice. Great customer service here. Be back soon.
Rosso's coffee is a bit fruity and acidic for my tastes, but the chill of this particular location makes it worth going to. The comfy couch and all the windows are a great place to read the morning paper.
I entered this coffee shop simply intending to use the public washroom. The concerned look on my face (when you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go!) was mistaken for illness and despite not even attempting to purchase anything, the staff showed genuine concern for me and even offered a free cup of tea. Any store that cares that much for the people that walk through the store deserve the highest praise! I am so appreciative of the staff of Russo!
Love Rosso Coffee! One of my favorite cups in the city. Atmosphere is great and super chill. This location and the one on Stephen Ave is where my daughter and I love to go and just have great conversations!
A very neat and sleek place to stop for some much needed espresso! Its a very sharp taste that easily cuts through whole milk, if you're into those distinct flavors I highly reccomend! Also open super early for inglewood!
Coffee is great, however, I have been waiting on an online order for about two weeks. I missed the original delivery due to my building intercom being down and have not been able to come in contact with their online store at all. I have since sent three emails, left a Facebook message, asked an in store employee to send an email to the office for me and as of now left a review. All I can say is, if you are buying beans, buy it in store, otherwise you may never get them.
Update: I finally got a response from Rosso logistics, and we have worked things out.
How can a business that specializes in a product not get their product right? I ordered an extra dry traditional cappuccino. Maybe the fault is on me since I assumed which tradition it was being made in. I understand that sometimes things don't come out just right. And because I am aware of inconsistencies at times this is not based on an isolated outcome. Multiple orders, some with the same drinks, some not. End result, disappointment. There is a big difference between providing something that someone will accept and delivering the best something that you are capable of.
Rosso is by far our favourite coffee shop in Calgary. They consistently deliver a great cup of coffee, their beans are always roasted fresh, and they have some pretty tasty treats too!
I like the espresso beans used by Rosso. They claim that they are fair price sourced but for me the most important issue is the taste. Make sure you ask for a extra hot latte or you can miss out on the flavour of the grind and end up with a luke warm mug of a mellow mixture. Even the breakfast sandwich was tasty.
I like this location it contributes to Inglewood very well. The staff are good, the coffee is great as usual and the seating is cozy. Good place to pop in or have a seat amd relax
Stopped there to use the bathroom before going on a Pokemon Go adventure with my daughter and I ordered a large hot chocolate. Never been to this café before, so I'm not sure if this is the way they make hot chocolate there, but I was really disappointed because it was expensive and it didn't taste like chocolate (cocoa, cacao) or nothing remotely similar. It looked nice with the little heart on the top, the texture was nice and thick, but it tasted like milk or cream or something similar, but nothing like the way chocolate is supposed to taste. Sorry guys, but you should go to a place like Mexico or Colombia to try the chocolate and learn how it's supposed to taste!
My sister raves about this place and took me when I visited Calgary. I wouldn’t say it was even close to my favourite coffee. I guess I didn’t order right maybe. My cappuccino tasted like it didn’t even have espresso in it. The snacks were very heavy on the carb side. I was just a bit disappointed
My favourite coffee shop in Calgary. Try an Americano and a breakfast sandwich for a real treat. I’m consistently surprised at how delicious the coffee is. They have the roasting perfect on every variety. Never a bad cup, always served in a clean mug, and pleasant staff, never pretentious.
A very nice cafe to chill with friends or family. It is not as big but it has a great atmosphere for those people who wants to study, get together or relax. Staff are nice and coffee quality is the best as well are the food.
This location has great space but twice now I have asked for coffee to stay in a glass cup and they always give me go cups. Would be great if they really listened as it's better to minimize use of the go cups whenever possible. Yes recycle but better to reuse!
Love lattes sweet latte my preference but I'm diabetic so probably shouldn't have it, but they have no flavoured syrup or sugar free syrup! So I splurge! They are helpful to me as I am deaf, free parking on side street but parking on 9 ave is pay but meter was hard to find? Love they have couch but usually full! Has outdoor seating in summer great area to have your dogs with you! Muffins are good, breakfast sandwich is good too few options but good food!
Great space with loads of natural light. Maybe the best Rosso in the city. Personally I find Rosso coffee to be much more acidic and less bright and balanced as compared to other places like Monogram, but not enough so to deter me from stopping in here
The interior design is fantastic at this cafe with plenty of seating areas and high ceiling, and the service is fast, but I would not recommend getting the cold brew here. It has a peculiar, unpleasant taste and nowhere near as potent as the one you can get from starbucks.
The two things I look for in a latte are good foam and no "sour" aftertaste. Rosso has both: excellent dense, creamy foam and a smooth, balanced coffee. The sweet latte is barely sweetened, which was perfect for me.
Staff are friendly and welcoming. The cashier made eye contact! Seems like lately the cashiers in other coffee shops I've visited have not been enjoying their work, so this was a lovely change.
Blonde girl working there is beyond slow. Never seen anyone move so slow on the job before. Literally no orders before me or after and it took her 10+ minutes to make one bagel. ️
Got a green tea and a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich had bacon on it, and they offered to replace it with tomato no problem, which is super appreciated! Tasty food, good service, cute and chill interior. Highly reccomend!
The best coffee in Calgary, without a doubt. I buy the beans for my own espresso machine at home as well (can’t make it as good as they do though). Try their cold brew - so good!
Amazing coffee and really nice design of the whole place. Staff can be pretty hit or miss though; they're either really nice people that you can have a conversation with or have terrible attitude and can be rude to you. That's the only reason I took a star off, other than that it's a really great place!
The servers are wonderfully nice, the decor is cool in keeping with the Inglewood theme, and the coffee is every bit as good as you'd expect from Rosso
Good coffee! Probably the best in the area. Tastes like proper espresso, not coffee flavoured milk, like so many other places
Quite pretentious and rude staff though. No hello, thank you, see you later (regular manners). This was disappointing.
Way too many people hanging out doing homework or doing personal business. It would be a great service to regular customers if the staff moved on these loitering individuals who take up whole multi seat tables.
