My wife and I went to see Banff during this winter holiday season. Nice old hotel. Tidy and smells good. Although water was not sinking well in the bathroom and during one of the nights we had a strong marihuana smell in the hall. Next time we will look into other options for a stay.

During our 5 night stay at this location we ate at the breakfast/restaurant found across from reception 3 times (not included in room payment) and enjoyed the food and service each time. The breakfast menu included several gluten free options however the dinner menu was lacking in the way of gluten free. The hotel staff greeted us with smiles when we first arrived, but overall the service was unfortunately subpar and when trying to access snow gear locked in the equipment room staff appeared inconvenienced as if we were wasting their time. Several times throughout our stay we had to deal with disrespectful staff. The rooms are nice and have all the necessities that you need to stay over a couple nights, we were on the first floor in the 2 queen bed rooms and enjoyed all aspects of the room. The steam room, spa and pool were lovely and well maintained although unfortunately we did not use these services more than once. As for the location, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the "main street" where most of the restaurants and ski hire gear are.

Everything was cool except getting woken up by the laundry tricking beeping and a backpack leaf blower 10 feet from my window at 8am

We loved Banff and the hotel was well situated for a stroll into Banff town centre. The hotel was well maintained and staff were very welcoming.

Service was exceptional
A manager walked down the block to purchase a pop for a client that was not feeling well

Very clean room and one of the comfiest hotel beds I've slept on in years. Staff were helpful and polite, the concierge was especially helpful. Fantastic location, just
out of town so great to have quiet from the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk in for food & drink. Spa was also great, mineral jacuzzi. Good parking underground.

Ashley was absolutely amazing. She was able to accommodate some of our odd requests and everything was as planned. Thank you for making our Corporate Conference as seemless and fun as it was. You are fantastic!

Horrible service.not kids friendly.they don't even provide microwave to heat kids food. I have toddler and we could it even heat his food.coz the hotel policy is not to heat food.this is totally absurd.
Even after begging them for half an hour, talking to the chef and all they could say is Talk to our GM or Its COVID policy.we all are vaccinated and this is the worst possible service in a Canadian hotel. I have booked 7 hotel for next 7 days.and this is the worst possible hotel.

Great experience in Banff with our stay here. Neal the concierge was helpful booking and suggestions on local attractions for us. Highly recommend this lodge for your stay. Food was great in restaurant in lodge.

Rooms were a little small for the price, but the bathroom was spacious. The shower head had a lot of minerals on it and it would've been nice to see it cleaned more thoroughly. Service was quick and easy to request new items like towels. It's pretty much downtown within a few steps of public transit to popular tourist spots.

The hotel is a bit old but nice. The room was spacious and we had access to a huge shared balcony which was very nice.

That said, the room was not serviced well. We never got enough towels and the trash cans were not emptied once.

The swimming pool was nice but it is *very* small and the water were freezing (which didn’t stop my kids from enjoying it!). The hot tub was great! Spacious, hot and strong jets.

A great place to stay. It's central and quiet, a short walking distance from the town centre.
The rooms are comfortable though housekeeping should look into the hard lumpy pillows they provide. Further the rooms are not serviced till late in the evening. It can be annoying when you return to an unserviced room at the end of the day. The staff are impersonal. Definitely not value for the money spent.

Nice quiet hotel conveniently located approximately 10-15 minutes walk to the main area of shops and restaurants. Underground paid parking available. Staff are friendly & helpful. Hotel and rooms are a bit dated but functional, Slightly pricey.

Spacious and quiet rooms. Our rooms each had a separate couch and table. And separate bath and shower.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers free bike rentals which we loved. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was over priced.the room was small and out dated.very disappointed in the price for this room.we had breakfast in resturant and it too was way over priced at 25 dollars x 2 plus tip. 60.00 for breakfast.not worth it

We had a great stay with the team at Royal Canadian Lodge. Neil is a great concierge- lots of good rec’s. Rest of the team was very friendly.

Last minute booking has great service and easy checking process. Hoped it would have greater view from room

This "4 star hotel" was a 1 star experience. For what we paid, this was extremely not worth it. The whole hotel was bare minimum, and the room's toilet had not been properly cleaned before we arrived. Normal hand or bar soap was nowhere to be found, and the only ones that were offered were facial bars, and there was no working fan in the bathroom. Great location, poor staying experience. The staff were accommodating.

Hotel was good with nice beds and tv's. Parking is underneath the building and costs $20. Rooms are slightly outdated but still nice. Overall good and I would probably stay here again.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Good around Hotel. On are last day when we returned back later that evening we found only half a job had been done on cleaning the room. Bins not emptied, tea and coffee not replenished.

Place was fine, a little dated. Our room overlooked a boarded-up building.they didn't clean our room the first couple of days.small kind of funny note, there's a sign as you come out of the garage saying our staff has cleaned your windshield so you can enjoy your views while you're driving. Never happened.on the brighter side, the concierge Neil, was very helpful and friendly.

We had a really amazing experience this week at the Royal Canadian lodge. The staff was super friendly and the concierge Neil was so helpful and nice. He gave us perfect recommendations for every night and they were all fantastic. He obviously knows the area super well.
We were sad to leave!
Pool and hot tub were great too- nice ambiance and ideal for after a long day of ski.
Location was great, 7 minute walk to downtown and shuttle to the hills comes right next door.

Stayed with my friend wanted to treat ourselves to bed and BREAKFAST and “hotspring” for our last night in town. Chose this places purely for these reasons. Headed down for breakfast and was told at the table once receiving our coffees that it wasn’t included in our deal. (Nor were the coffees but the lady only made us pay for one to help with the situation).

Walked up to the front desk to check again and she just printed of our reservation to show it wasn’t included. Even after I said we definitely chose the included option. Felt no remorse on her end and felt very mistreated and gaslit. Upon checkout the environment was very hostile and couldn’t wait to get out of the lobby. Also was expecting a hot spring but it was a indoor swimming pool and spa.

Only redeeming quality kind bell boy at the start of our stay who gave great advice on the area. The rooms were very nice but doesn’t make up for the poor treatment.
