Royal Oak Wash

Relatively cheap car wash. The double bays suck though. Every once in a while I'll get stuck behind someone that needs 20 minutes to wash their car or insists on hand drying in the bay, leaving you effectively trapped. The exit gets really icy in the winter.

I come here to use the dog wash and prefer to go later at night as my dog is reactive. The hours say they close at 10. I got there twice at approx 9pm and the dog wash is locked. The store has an open sign on and no one is there nor do they answer the phone. Very frustrating to waste my time, gas etc.drive there and not be able to use the facility that is supposedly open. Do not recommend.

I was bringing my commercial vehicle here but I will not be doing so anymor, for numerous reasons.

One their receipt machine was broken and their office wasn't open yet. So when I came back for my next wash, 2 weeks later they refused to provide me with a written receipt. Even after I provided proof of purchase. They excepted people to come back the same day at their inconvenience, but failed to provide any notice to warn customers before they made their purchases.
I feel I have be deceived multiple times. There vacuum wasn't working right and I didn't get refunded the initial $2. The machine they use to tell me could only pull receipts from master cards could now print receipts since the out side one was broken.
There was a young boy working there on my last visit who was fixing something, and was rude to customers about assisting them because he was getting interrupted on his project. One man wanted him to look at the machine because the person ahead of him warned him not to put money in the machine that it wasnt working. The boy did nothing to assist him, he acted like the previous person was dumb and told him to try it then come back if it didnt work.
They dont care if people are using the truck wash when other bays are open. This causing bigger vehicles to have to wait, when there are 8 other bays they could be using.
There were a lot of unhappy customers that day and I know they lost more then just one biweekly commercial gig.
If you want a true canadian customer service experience, do not go here they are proud and don't have a serving mentally.

*** update I emailed back 5 days ago. They are quicker to respond on Google where there are eyes, then they are where this none.

Excellent quality wash, but the queue is a nightmare and having two cars in one bay is a poor idea. When the second person finishes and the first person is still going, the second person tries to back out - causes chaos. The pressure is great and the soap comes out strong. I like the wash, but not the queue. Also, with the vacuums in the wash bay - some people take way too long -the wait can be frustrating.

Don't waste your money on this carwash! Drive that extra 5 mins to another one. I've been here a few times in the past 2 months and everytime i go there's something not working, soap, vacuum, receipt machine, coin machine, and the staff are rude and not helpful at all. It's like they have better things to do then help the customers, (example: witnessed staff watching movies, playing on their phone) so unprofessional. WILL NOT be wasting my time or money on this place again.

Amazing car wash, really nice warm water and they are never closed due to cold weather which is so nice right now

Clean and bright car wash. I love that they take debit right at the machine. No more searching for change!

The car wash is good, have to pay $2 to start the machine.
Great salt off option, melts the salt off very quick and clean.
I like the dog bath here has warm water, shampoo and conditioner with a dryer option.

Mostly busy in the weekends with long lines. I recommned to visit in late evenings to avoid the long line. You have plenty of time to wash your car at your own pace.

First time here. I expected it to be a coin muncher but surprisingly the time for the wand wash was a bit more than I expected, unlike other places which feel like you get 45 for 2 dollars. I'll try it again and see but so far this one I'm in favor of going to.

Wand washes are the best. Cheap and effective. Double car wash bays allow more people to use them at once as well. Wide lot also for ease of use.

Great place in North West to wash your car with plenty of bays and easy access.

The people running the place are very helpful and great at what they do.

The facility is well maintained especially in the winter and muddy seasons and the wash bays are kept clean.

One the machines did not recognize the tooney I inserted it and was helped right on the spot by the personnel who worked there.

I strongly recommend this facility and will return to wash my car here.

Went to this car wash early this morning to avoid crowds. Unfortunately, all 3 of my credit cards got rejected. Tried both tap and swipe options but still got declined. Office was closed at the time and I don't have coins on me. Ended up leaving without washing. I noticed 2 customers in adjacent bays also had problems with the machine. Immediately after leaving without washing, I used my credit card at a nearby gas station and my card was fine. So it has to be the car wash problem. In the past, this was my favourite car wash. But I will not risk making another trip to Spyhill again because I don't want to line up only to find out the same problem the next time. Totally wasted my time this morning, and unless you plan to use coins, I suggest you go elsewhere.

I'm happy that Spyhill had reached out to me to make right the problem that I had experienced. So I changed the ratings on this review from 1 to 5 star because when a business reaches out like Spyhill did, I think they deserved it! Will be back!

When car wash first opened water wasn't clean & left dirt on vehicle. This has been remedied and no longer an issue.

Poor customer service
Guy comes to talk to me while my machine is running and charging me, asking me to move forward while i was already into my wash. Second time this happened. Vacuums never work. Guy again comes to talk to me while machine was running with dryer and I was putting my Mats back and drying inside the car.

I used to come every day but u stopped because their vacuums never work and they never let you wash in peace, receipt machine brakes and poor customer service that costs me extra $$ unnecessarily due to the Guy talking while I am washing. Never coming back. Scam

After reading other reviews I was having doubts about trying “Spy Hill” car wash. The car was so dirty, every time someone brushed up against it they were getting their clothes dirty.
I went to try the car wash. They have a good system there. Automatic doors open so you can drive in. You can pay with a credit card which is convenient. There is a $15 pre-authorization. The car wash was well maintained. The floor had been kept clean and tidy. The wand had good pressure. I went around the car…wash, rinse, and wax, at a casual pace, taking time to clean in the wheel wells. The cost when I finished was $8.00. I thought this was reasonable, and would not hesitate going back.
