Royal Pizza Mill Woods

My husband ordered me a gluten-free, dairy-free cheese, veggie pizza. The pizza itself was paper thin and hard. It also came with NO CHEESE and was mainly covered onions, and spinach, with a tiny bit of mushrooms and green peppers. It was horrendous.

Went here for lunch and was pretty good.didn't realize that there's lots of seating inside for a pizza place! Our server was very nice and friendly! Our beef and onion pizza was ok, not how I remember it from having ordered it from the blue quill location.the spaghetti and meatball dish was very generous, took some home.inside is somewhat dated but overall a good dining experience!

2 strikes you're out. First time.only two tables with customers including myself and a friend, waited approximately 10 minutes to get service. Last night (Wed.) again not busy. Ordered cheeseburgers, 20 minutes pass no food. Finally asked manager if problem in kitchen. Our order didn't get to the cook. What kind of waitress let's hungry customers wait that long? A bad one. Seems royal pizza has a knack for hiring poor employees. We did get 50% off the bill. But by that time I was so pissed and told the manager we will never return.

Spent 100 dollars, they showed up with a generic small Caesar salad (Not the meal version paid for) and without the shrimp (extra paid for). Pizzas were a disaster (two larges). A joke and a slap in the face. DON'T ORDER FROM THESE GUYS! RIP OFF!

Server was young blonde girl, very cheerful but trying to do much as other two servers would rather chat, steak sandwich was mediocre, garlic toast was toasted one side only and fries were lukewarm to cold.

Excellent service, i requested veg pasta and i saw some chicken in it, i asked to change, the guy who worked there, said sorry and request a new fresh one

Wow! Wish I could give less than one star! I had not always been a huge fan of Royal Pizza, but during the pandemic I ordered food fairly often to support local business, and all was okay. I placed an order last night and it took an hour and a half to arrive. The donair and side of fries were disgusting - dry fries which looked and tasted like they had been cooked two days ago, and the donair was soggy and gross. I'd had their donair before and it had been good, so this time really surprised me, I couldn't eat it! The only edible part of the meal was mediocre pizza bread and eight small wings. I will never order from this place again!

Good pizza but like every where prices have gone up. 3 large pizza which are like medium size elsewhere will cost you $80 plus.

Took my sis here for her birthday. Our server Katlyn was the best, excellent service, checking that we had what we needed, very friendly. Food was hot and delicious. My first time dining here, definitely will again.

Lovely lil place.

As with all royal pizzas the food is great. The place does seem a bit dated, but then again so is most of town centre

We ordered the Valentines special tonight so we could eat it while watching the Oilers game. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Maybe you could add this to the menu permanently.

Very tip oriented restaurant.waitress are waiting for tips like a seagull for fries in a near by parking lot.

Pizza is always on point. Pasta is enjoyable. The salad is lacking is sauce though and the wings I got tasted old and were soggy.

The staff have always been welcoming, my order is always to go and I wait in the restaurant drinking my Java, reading my book and they do not mind if seats are available

Really love the chefs mistake pizza (without bacon) really good!
The Greek salad and sweet potato fries are really good too! I had a lovely server as well

Disappointed! Rude staff - 50% empty container I ordered a medium meat lovers pizza and upon pick up I asked for a side of ranch, the lady said it’s 75 cents which I was fine to pay. She came back with a very small container and I said for 75 cents that’s super small, and asked for another one. She began to start ringing in another, I Said no for free as this one is too small. She said no that she’s worked there for 5 years and this is the size. I’ve lived here for 10 years and never got a each so small, and on top of that I got home and it’s half empty, what a surprise! I’d like to speak to a manager, for how pricy the pizza is, you should have not left 50% of the container empty, we have enough Ranch for 2 slices, I won’t be back

Dining in: Amazing service, a lot of food! Definitely get what you pay for!
Take out: Pay the same amount as eating in, but do not get nearly as much food! Disappointing when you expect to get the same experience dining from home as you do dining at the restaurant.

Still has amazing service and delicious food! Their pizza is still very filling and loaded with toppings.

Tried this place for the first time on the weekend and i will definitely be a repeat customer! My server Synthia was pleasantly talkative and attentive, the texan pizza was very good, and takes home and reheats very well even a few days later, this place is pretty pricey, but you get what you pay for

The food is overpriced and horrendous and the waiting times are outrageous. Ordered a donair which shouldn't be too hard to screw up and upon receiving it the soggy cheese, wet pita wrap, and the deli-meat they call donair beef was cold. 7-11 eleven probably serves better meals. Overall its a disappointing dump of a restaurant and I hope it closes to make room for actually competent businesses

It's Royal pizza. I find this location pretty consistent, if your like Royal pizza you'll like this location.

So sorry to give you a low score this time. Have been ordering from you for over 8 years and never given you a bad one. Unfortunately on Saturday March 19th, 2022 we ordered 4 med pizzas from you with extra cheese and they were not up to par. 1/2 the side of each pizza had crust that was about 3 inches thick while the otherside was about 1/2 inch. Also cheese was not cooked through. Had to put in the oven at home. New place on Southside that I might give a try. Cheaper and larger pizzas and told by friend it was really good.

We ordered take out. The food was completely cold. Only half of the pizza was cut. & We only got 8 chicken wings in our order which seems too small for how much they cost. Disappointed

My wife loves their pizza but I prefer a wood oven cooked pizza, but their half loaf and lasagna is always good. Staff always make it a good experience.)

Had lunch today at the Mill Woods Town Centre location. My Royal sandwich was excellent, a nice mix of meats and cheeses, not greasy like some. A generous helping of salad was included. My companion enjoyed a steak sandwich cooked exactly to her liking. Great service!

I have had literally 1000 pizza over 40 years from Royal (mainly the Old Strathscona location) There usually very consistent with a great pizza. Todays was a odd ball, half the toppings as usual.

Took a take out.they were amazing.actually got the pIZZA the way i like it.still hav the flavour in ma mouth.they should have more different options and toppings.

Worst Lasanga EVER! Staff doesnt listen, I ordered one with extra sauce and what I ended up with was a Very Dry Lasanga. When I asked where was the extra sauce the Waitress said 'Oh I thought you meant just sauce ' Then the manager said she would offer a $5 off next time, ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Would NEVER GO

Always had good pizza from here clean place the staff are very friendly would recommend it.

Always great. We had the lunch specials and Pizza is always so good. Tons of cheese and right to the crust! Wings were okay. I had a steak and I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious. We will be back!

Order two pasta dishes for pick up, staff was extremely friendly.pasta was hot, cheesy, not over cooked. Order Italian sausage, very meek (very little) and no flavorful (bla) with both pasta dishes.
I guess should stick to the pizza, since is is a pizza place!

Just stick to their pizza and wings. Their steak sandwich is an insult to the cow who gave her life only to be over cooked, dry, and served over stale garlic toast. The only cheese on the cheeseburgers we ordered was stuck to the top of the pizza box they came in. Very disappointed in what we got for our $95 dinner.

I have been going to Royal for many years and it has always been good. Always clean and always fast service, even when busy. Best spaghetti sauce in town IMO.

Never gonna order again from this store. Ordered two large premium pizzas ($28 each) for delivery and received them after almost two hrs and worst, crusts on both pizzas were burnt; so dark that you we had to remove all those crust (too bad coz my daughters love the crust). So I called them about this and I was told that they were busy and I had to wait for another hour or two for a replacement or they would give me a credit for my next order. When I placed my next order, i was told that i was getting only $10 but I still ordered one large pizza ($28) and 8 pcs chicken wings ($12.25), i know it's too much but still went on my order and this time after waiting for 1.5 hrs, i called them again and i was told that it was for pick up. I was so disappointed that I had to freaking cancel my order.

Ordered by phone for pick up at 11: 51 am, get to the store and pay, expecting to get my pizza in short order (paid at 12: 03). Finally received pizza at 12: 26 pm
Sounds like the are sleeping in this location. Pizza should have been done 5 to 10 minutes faster as this is a lunch nooner. To top it off, the pizza was undercooked evident by the soggy crust and non melted cheese.

Royal pizza is not so royal anymore. Will I return in the future, not a chance! Wasted my $12 and time.
Recommend to go elsewhere in the future for pizza.

Ordered Fred’s Special which is my favourite. Usually very good, this time, terrible! It wasn’t even hot or cooked. It was doughy and gross!

Never againI ordered a grilled chicken sandwich one time and it was pricey for the size and also very very dry. I told myself maybe try something different and this time I ordered the smallest pizza in the lunch special menu with one topping and it was over $10 as lunch special. When I asked for my one topping, feta cheese, and went to pick it up she charged me close to$14. Small size with one topping for almost $14. I could have a large loaded pizza for that price in another pizza place. When I told the girl why the extra charge she said that the topping is extra but they never told me when I ordered it by phone. I asked to speak with the owner and I was
one given the run around and said he is not available. I felt that I was scammed. Too bad they are going to lose customers one by one. This is the punishment when you try to help local small businesses

It ain't fancy, but the pizza is delicious. We've been going to this location regularly for years. Always appreciate the friendly service - they treat our kids so well. A great, simple night out for the family.

Was pleasantly surprised with how delicious my pizza was! Shrimp and mushroom pizza, and I added spinach. The amount of spinach added was awesome. It went so well with the shrimp. It was nice and hot at the table, and the outer crunch of the crust (soft on the inside) was perfect. Our waitress was attentive and chose the right time to check on our table. My only complaint was when hubby was watching the hockey game behind me. LOL!

Took the family out for what I expected would be a nice experience, instead the food was terrible. Barely warm tasteless fries, lasagna was warm the sauce was nasty and barely any cheese baked on top. Pizza was hot but very skimpy toppings and a very thin layer of cheese basically mostly dough. Their burger has no veggies and what they call a donair had no lettuce or cheese and no sauce. Very very disappointed and will not be returning. If I could say anything nice about the place well the coffee and service was good.

Ordered a pizza and baked spaghetti for delivery. Pizza was ok but it was very pricey for the quality. Should have more cheese and toppings for the price. The baked spaghetti was very good. But what ever you do don’t get it delivered. I first got the wrong order then when I phoned to tell them I was put on hold twice. Then another delivery driver showed up while I was on hold with the right order. Pizza was warm spaghetti was hot.

Great deep dish pizza with the crispy edges and delicious fresh toppings. Although you might need to wait a little longer than some pizza places, you won't be disappointed with the quality or taste!

Great place. Very homely. I know that their pizza is really good despite its price but I wanted to try my hand at their Steak. While very thin the steak itself was cooked to medium rare, but was also heavily salted which i personally didnt mind. The pasta lasagna was very good and their spaghetti sub par at best.

The servers are very nice and quick to come and go.

Overall I would give four stars. Though I'm sure if I was in the mood for pizza it might as well be five.

I always like this place for pizza but on last visit I was very disappointed with the lack of toppings, especially for three toppings it was not very thick, quite skimpy.

Real home-made pizza done right, don't know why you'd order anything other than the pizza from Royal.

Smaller sized restaurant which adds a cozy appeal. Delicious pizzas, as always with the franchises, incredibly thick cheese with tangy sauce. I recommend a well done pizza which gives the cheese and fabulous crunchy edge!

This royal pizza has better service. The staff are alot nicer and the food taste better than the one in west end location

Got the calzone cause a friend said it ws good, the chicken calzone. How cheap can you be? !? ! In the whole calzone I counted 5 pieces of chicken, and so little sauce! $15 later and regretting my purchase. Next time I'll sit and eat nothing. Most expensive "pizza pocket" ever. Worst experience ever, was slow, we waited at least an hour for our food.

Tried to order online. Website said the order could not be delivered. Later in the evenning the order showed up despite it not supposed to have been placed. Had already made alternate plans. Not very impressed. Soggy donair and cold pizza. Skip this place entirely.
