Running Room

Well I am never going back to the Running Room in Crowfoot. I ordered two pairs of shoes online, 9 and 9.5. I went to return the 9, which the website states that I can do. What I assume is the owner gave me a lecture that they don’t get credit for the sale, but have to accept the return and they can’t send it to head office. How would I know that and why am I being made to feel like I did something wrong. He kept going on about it. Plus I could only get store credit because the shoe was on sale. Well again, the website didn’t SAY that!

I walked in to their store for returning, they were so rude and not welcoming, especially the guy was there treating me with his bad attitude.
I like to shop at running room but i don’t recommend that store at all.

Absolute garbage service. I was going in to the store willing to pay $250+ for a pair of shoes and left going to another store to buy the same shoes. The sales person was arrogant and questioned if I even ran. Worst part is the sales person looked way more out of shape than myself. I'm surprised this store get even 3 star rating. I would not reccomend anyone go to this store ever.

Was there yesterday, after researching online for the *best shoes for me*. Rob helped me out, made an assessment and showed me one shoe to start. Turns out, it was the SAME shoe I had researched. Then we found out it was on sale! After today's 5k run, my feet are feeling great. My hips and knees don't hurt, yet. Now off to stretch! Thanks again, Rob!

They were completely unhelpful. We had a unique situation with a shoe requirement and instead of helping us find a solution we were told that they don’t measure feet, they only have one black shoe, and they don’t carry it in the size we think we need. I had been told they would be knowledgeable and helpful and they were neither.

Great experience. Had to prepare myself mentally to go in just because buying runners is like buying jeans or a bra! But I got there, Bev brought me 2 pairs of runners and that was it. I did have to order the regular width, but no biggie. Easy Peazy!

My wife and I had just purchased two new pairs of runners ($400), and have been long time supporters of Running Room and this location. Disappointed that brick/mortar store personnel comment about real customer service rather than online ordering. We dont get a call about about our shoes being in, but we have to contact the store, only to find out that the shoes had been there a week. Response: . We emailed you the shoes were in! If I only get an email confirmation anyways from the Running Room, I will purchase runners from online going forward. Customer Loyalty/Store Service goes both ways.

When I decide to shop in-store vs on-line it’s because I am looking for customer service. I found both the store manager and regional manager to be more belligerent than respectful (ironic in light of the sign at their till to please be respectful to staff-I wonder if in the part it’s their own culture that initiates customer angst; lack of respect is never ok by customer or staff).

I purchased new shoes and a hand held water bottle this week. I was indecisive with the hand held water bottle with the clerk at time of purchase, bought it, but decided it wasn’t going to work for me. When I tried to return it I was accused of using the item (despite it being unopened with original packaging) and it was pointed out there was a printed sign saying waterbottles are not refundable. I hadn’t seen that sign and neither the clerk who sold it to me nor the receipt indicated it was non refundable. Although in the end I was provided a refund, the approach of both the manager and regional manager was discourteous and unfriendly.

Bought Hoka brand runners 6 months ago and they are already worn out. With huge holes in heels and soles are worn smooth. Worn only for walking, no running. Never have had a pair of runners wear out so ridiculously quickly. Store owners basically said “ shoes wear” and that cotton socks may be the problem? !

Went in because my wife's Hoka shoes have fallen apart after 6 months of light use (and walking only), and we were told it was our fault and somehow cotton socks were the culprit (even though we wear wool socks). These people at this location are terrible. Won't be back ever.

Had a very recent issue with quality of runners bought in April. The regional manager was quick to respond and the matter has been satisfactorily dealt with. I have been buying my runners from the Running Room for years and I am happy to continue to do so. Not sure if I will return to the Crowfoot store as the staff were not at all sympathetic or helpful but there are lots of the locations!

I had two ladies at the store when I entered to browse through shoes I was hoping to purchase. They were a little odd and what happened was that they kept cutting in between me talking and when I tried on some shoes, rather than listening to my needs, they “ordered” me to walk so that they can do an “assessment” and narrowed down my shoe choices to two pair of shoes. When I was generous enough to not fight them and try on the recommended shoes, they brought me half a size bigger than the size I wear and says they will do a “toe check” and when they did, they told me it was the right size for me. Frustrated at how rude and odd they were acting, I just decided not to fight or confront but to buy the pair as I did not feel comfortable asking them to try on the size I usually wear as I still found the shoes pretty comfortable. When I came back home and brought them to wear at work indoors I found them to be too big and my feet didn’t have enough support as there was too much room in the shoes as to what I normally have. Now I have to waste my time going back to exchange/refund these and deal with some odd people that are rude and bossy when they are only working at the shoe store.

Been coming here for years! LOVE that we can just come in and they pull up our history and badda badda Bing! Loving? The more subtle colour! Another birthday? Gift today!

I visited several running room locations over the last week looking for shoes. Both prior to this one had excellent staff and an inviting environment. This Crowfoot location just going to say it’s odd, it’s like they didn’t want to sell me the shoes, I wasn’t allowed to try them on and basically shooed out the door. Weird. Won’t go back here

Great service, and friendly staff.
I purchased sunglasses, and needed to exchange them a week later. No problem!
The hours are slightly hit or miss 10-6- not always ideal- but Thursdays are until 7pm!
