Running Room

Unfortunately, not a great experience. I went in once to pick up some orthotics and once to get running shoes. Both times the sales person (same clerk) was disinterested in me and almost seemed annoyed that I was bothering her. I love to shop within our community when I can but I’ll be heading elsewhere next time.

Going to my first Running Room years ago was a great experience. Knowledgeable staff who helped me find the shoes I needed for walking and running. This experience, however, was absolutely terrible. My husband and I went in, right by the sales associate, who didn't smile or say hello or even acknowledge the fact that we were there. She looked less than enthused to be there. We then waited by the shoes expecting her to help, but we had to walk the 3 feet over to her to get her to help because it's like we weren't even there. My husband has foot issues and thought they would examine his gait and get him the best shoes for his feet, but she didn't at all. She never asked what we were looking for; it's like she assumed we knew what every shoe was for and what the differences in them were. My husband was ready to walk out but we got a few pairs of shoes and then said to each other that we would never go to that location again. Terrible experience.

I waited to get my first pair of nice running shoes at the running room because I was told they measure your feet and can recommend a shoe based on that and your gait. When I got to the sherwood park running room the teen sales associate offered to get me what ever shoes I wanted but there was no measuring or assessing. I could have gone anywhere. She also didn't seem to know much about the product. She claimed all shoes were equally stable and all shoes could be used indoor/outdoor didn't make a difference. I did end up buying some shoes after trying non half the stock but next time I'll just order online.
