Great good, loved the environment. What a terrific place. Got the wow factor from the girl… YESSSS. Thanks guys I got it.

I visited this steak house with my family and was pleasantly surprised with the service. There was a bit of a waiting time which was not really nice, but then we got our spot and the steak came out good. The lady attendant was super nice and engaged everyone in good conversation and was really welcoming.
On the quality of food vs pricing, I felt it was really overpriced! I guess the ambience and location also costs a lot, so customers bear the brunt too.
In all, the experience was good but if you’re visiting, prepare for an expensive outing.

It’s always so nice to eat here, staff is very friendly and helpful not to mention how excellent the taste and quality of the food is. Never a dull moment when I’m here!

Been there on Wednesday night. Everything is excellent except the bread they served us. It is cold and taste like bought from Walmart.

Stayed here just after Christmas with a few friends who weren't very familiar with a fine dining. Our server Scott was very helpful at explaining the menu to make sure we got exactly what we wanted while also cracking a few jokes, making us feel more than welcome. Food was amazing and beyond my expectations, everyone who passed our table was very friendly and we felt like we got the luxury treatment. Atmosphere was very laid back and relaxed, we had more than enough time to enjoy everything Ruth's Chris had to offer.

Superb steak, the best in Calgary. Delicious lobster bisque, and out of this world chocolate cake. Would come back any time.

Had a birthday celebrated with them, just two of us. It was a great experience right from start to end. Happy staff, Hani was helping us with the food and he was very good at his job, food was good! Had spicy shrimps, lemon thigh chicken, Rib eye steaks, virgin drinks, a birthday cake from the house, a birthday card, and other nice birthday supplies and all i had to do was to mention birthday at the time of online reservation. We got treated in a great way. I parked at the Calgary tower parkade and they validated the ticket as well. Must try!

Please is very classy and pretentious, but it’s not about food, it’s about entourage. Food isn’t matching the place, not a taste and not appearance or serving, stuff is good, service is good.

My experience at Ruth's Chris was divine. The best lemon drop I have had in my life (coconut ginger lemon drop). Also the best steak I've ever had (petit filet with prawns). Our table also ordered the calamari, crab cakes, scalloped potatoes, cremini mushrooms, and flourless chocolate cake. Every single thing was perfect!

I was very excited to come to Ruth’s for my birthday. I had already heard nothing but good things and was not disappointed! They delivered and exceeded any expections I had.

Making my birthday special they had a card and birthday confetti ready at the table. From the house manager over seeing everything and seating us us to our server Hani who had incredible recommendations and made everything about our visit special - I was blown away!

Being our first time visiting everything was explained in how Ruth’s was different from any other steak restaurant and things we needed to know. While reviewing the menu all our questions were answered and at no time time did I feel overwhelmed or like I was asking a silly question. We were not rushed to make decisions and were carefully checked on to make sure we were enjoying our meals and drinks.

The calamari was fabulous - it was fresh, lightly battered with a little bit of kick, but not over whelming. I got a appetizer salad that was refreshing and dressed well. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and was so tender and full of flavour, we shared our sides (asparagus and sautéed mushrooms) that complimented the meal well…and the sizes were plentiful!

Meals came with deserts but being too full we took home to continue the experience at a later time.

I would recommend this restaurant anyone who asked and will be returning in the future!

I was sick for almost 24 hours after eating here. My husband and I went to Ruth's Chris; he had the steak with a baked potato and I had the stuffed chicken breast with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were weirdly pepper-y and the plates come to the table sizzling so hot that you have to wait 15 minutes before you can have a bite of your food. Even worse, upon getting home, I became so sick from the food that I had painful diarrhea for 18 hours. I am unsure as to whether this came from the amount of butter in my food (between the mashed potatoes and the chicken, there was at least a half cup of butter that my food was swimming in) or whether I got food poisoning. I have heard great things about this place but I was left feeling underwhelmed and becoming so sick from a meal was a major turn-off.

The service was a bit hit and miss. Our main server was 100%, but the others helping him were a miss! One of them tried to clear my wife's appetizer salad plate as she was still eating it! I'm not sure if they were being trained at the time, but i would assume a restaurant wouldn't allow someone so inexperienced on the floor without a shadow person. The food is extremely expensive. For 4 people, $700 + and our guests don't drink. I had 2 beers and my wife had a glass of wine. We went because our clients requested this restaurant. I don't see myself going again.

Came here for an anniversary dinner with my husband. I love the ambience and the atmosphere. The food was delicious and sevice was excellent.

Great for special occasions. You will love the food but your wallet might not. Worth it.

Thanksgiving 2022
The turkey had a strange texture and not much flavor. The stuffing was very soggy. We didn't like it and got something else. When we asked and said it was so good last year they told me that they changed chefs. Was sad. I hope this chef figures it out fast because the food used to be really good.

Everything was so good. The food and the service. We had such a great time. The only thing I wasn't happy about was that they were sold out of some menu items we were interested in by the time we arrived.

Had the porterhouse for our anniversary and it was so good.

My favourite chain restaurant of all time. Every time I dine at Ruth Chris it always feels like the first time. The food is above and beyond what you could ever imagine, the decor is fantastic and the servers are highly trained and very professional. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place and I will keep dining here until I take my last breath on this earth.

Incredible personable service, fantastic steak and a beautiful setting to make a fantastic meal out. Certainly not the cheapest stop for dinner, but the steak is easily worth what they charge. Definitely worth coming back to.

I was visiting Calgary for a week and went to the restaurant for a dinner. When I entered the place, there was no one at the front desk. After waiting I decided to go and browse around until I meet someone who'd help me to find a table. A person that escorted me asked if I'd like to be sitted in the dining area or lounge. As I wasn't sure what was what, i thought that lounge probably would have more chill environment. The person didn't sit me at a table, rather showed direction and said pick wherever you want to sit, so naturally I'd walk and pick an area with more ppl. The restaurant staff came up to me and said I can't sit there and escorted me to the lounge. Why don't you have a clear separation of two areas? It was confusing and frustrating when you sit down and then you were moved to another table.

I ordered lobster bisque; it was extremely salty, after couple of spoons I refused eating it, as it felt like I eat spoonful of salt.
Not sure if the chef gave it a taste before serving.

For the main, I got petite ribeye with asparagus and it was one of the best steaks I've tried! So tender and juicy!

As for the service, I sat at a table and was served by a bartender. Obviously he was busy making cocktails for other patrons. I found it weird where the dining area was swarming with waiters, the lounge was served by a person with double duty. Waiters from dining area would occasionally come to the lounge to grab cocktails, if I'd try flagging someone, they'd call me the bartender.

Overall the experience and service was waaayy below average. In a regular $$ steakhouses youd get much better service. But the steak was mindblowingly good!

Side note: the lobster bisque was removed from my bill. Thank you

Awesome food, awesome service, some of the best steak in Calgary. They serve an assortment of both American and Canadian beef, superb!

Nice dinner. Date Nights on a Wednesdays are a good deal. Came here for a special birthday and they even put out some birthday confetti on the table and offered a free dessert that was delivered with a candle and happy birthday scrolled on the plate in chocolate. All in all it made it special without being embarassing. Food was excellent (proteins and sides) with good presentation.

Went for a collective birthday dinner. Drinks were kept full, food was hot, well cooked and quick. Waiter Terry was very pleasant

The ambiance and service here was absolutely fantastic. Felt very well looked after for our entire stay. For the most part, the food was very good with my only complaint being that our brussel sprouts were not quite cooked enough. They were quite chewy, which took away from an otherwise fantastic dish.

Be prepared to spend a decent amount on dinner here - but it will be well worth it!

Excellent steak and lobster bisque. Great atmosphere and cool view of downtown. The service is always excellent. I finished my meal with creme brulee and it was perfect! I loved everything about it.

My friend and I usually go to Ruth Chris in Toronto and we were so disappointed with the Calgary location.

Just overall lacking in taste. But the worst part is that they brought us a peppercorn sauce that was visibly expired or uncooked (full of chunks), either way I cannot believe how bad it was. Instead of apologizing multiples times and calling my phone the next day they should've offered to discount our bill.

Will stick to the Toronto location. Better off going to Earls or Joey for the price.

Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon (we're from the city, but because of the uncertainty surrounding travel we decided to have a stay-cation), and we loved our evening here. All of the staff was friendly and showed a real personal interest, and the ambience is quiet, intimate and very enjoyable.

The steaks were cooked perfectly and wonderfully seasoned. We also had the spicy shrimp to start, which had just the right amount of heat and incredible flavor. Dessert was also amazing - my wife had the creme brulee, which she loved, and I had the banana cream pie which may have been the best I've ever had.

While the price tag may be a bit steep, it is the perfect place for a special occasion with your loved ones. We'll be back for our first anniversary and we will highly recommend it to others!

By far the best steak I’ve ever had anywhere around the world. We’ve visited top restaurants in London, New York, LA and many more places but this one surpasses them all. The steak is cooked to perfection with a crispy outside and each steak cooked to the perfect inside to your individual preference (medium, rare, well done). It is an expensive place but well worth it for a special occasion.

The food was top notch and stays hot as they heat the plate. A very personal atmosphere with just enough attention, including a check in from the management. Overall pleasant experience!

Ruth's Chris is literally the best steak house in Calgary! The atmosphere is incredible and the service is always top notch. This is my favourite place to go for celebrations, but the prime time menu also makes it affordable for any ordinary date night. If you want melt-in-your-mouth steak - go to Ruth's Chris!

I have read about Ruth's Chris in many airline magazines over the last probably 20 years, notating it to be rated one of the top restaurants for steak and learning the story of Ruth's humble beginnings, having been a single mother raising two boys and mortgaging her home to buy a struggling restaurant and how she grew this in to one of (if not the best steak restaurants in the world). First time eating at her restaurant and we were not disappointed! What a remarkable experience. A steak that literally melts in your mouth! Excellent service provided by our waiter and a memorable night that will be remembered for years! Great location in the Calgary Tower that rounds out the experience. A gotta try for the steak lover!

I feel bad giving 3 star but we felt food was not the best we've had. Service was absolutely perfect Daniel was the best, attentive and really took good care of us, very friendly too! Everyone checked on us to make sure we were good! Crab cakes were just okay, but for $30 not worth it. Lobster bisque was amazing. Caeser salad was not great. Steak petit filet 8 oz was good, but have had better. Salmon was really good the sauce made it even better. The brussel sprouts were good potatoes good, but we have had amazing food for less. Creme brulee was excellent. Cocktails were okay but $18 each. Had virgin blueberry mojito it was very good!

Got takeout which for dinner and it was still absolutely to die for. I was so impressed. Wasn’t sure if it would hold up well to-go but it was amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had. Can’t imagine what it would be like if I had it dining in. All the meats were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The flourless chocolate cake was good with the raspberry sauce but a little dense and sweet for my preference. We got the mixed grill (chicken, shrimp, and steak), lobster bisque soup, stuffed crab mushrooms, and Cesar salad. Everything was *chefs kiss* pricey but well worth it.

Cannot say enough about my experience. The service was impeccable. Thank you Manny as well as Nate for checking in with us. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable but most of all the food was amazing. Will definitely return and recommend to everyone. Probably the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. The cheesecake was magical. The seared tuna was perfection.

Expect to pay a hefty tip if you are ordering for pick-up.
A friend offered to pick-up our meal for us as we were quarantining at home. I gave her cash to pay for the meal. When she paid, the server withheld the change asking if my friend wanted it. My friend said it wasn't her money, then felt obligated to text me and ask me if I wanted my change ($50) and I said 'YES'. The server was still reluctant to return the money until my friend offered to pay her a tip out of her own pocket if she returned the change.
I called and initially spoke to one of the managers, he was shocked and very receptive to my concerns. He said he would call me back shortly. Instead, someone else called and denied that anything had happened "because we don't do that here. "
The meal would have been excellent, even through pickup, but the entire experience left a bad taste in our mouths. No more Ruth Chris Calgary for us.

Last night we had an absolutely phenomenal Christmas dinner. The service was hands down the best we have ever experienced and the food as always was simply amazing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for truly making this such a special evening.

My wife and I went Friday night for supper ordered a stake medium rare. The plate came scorching hot in oil. Meat was so hot you could not eat it.by the time you had two bites it was so well done and dry i could not eat it. For a steak house I can not even rate the food.

Always a great experience at Ruth's Chris, excellent service and the food is beyond reproach. I also highly recommend the au gratin potatoes, just don't think about how rich the food is and you will enjoy it even more.

Amazing food, make sure you have deep pockets because it's definitely not cheap. They're two course and the course combo option does, however, give you the opportunity to try the menu for a cheap price
